Chapter Ten

6:00 a.m. rolled around quicker than expected. The alarm was going off and Alex was struggling to get out of bed to turn it off. "How is it morning already?" Alex muttered to herself. The couple's alarm went off at six every morning, except for the weekend of course. Alex had about a 45-50 minute commute and Piper had 30-35 minute commute. However, the couple always did get coffee together before going their separate ways for the day.

"Come on Pipes." Roles reversed over the years. Piper is now the difficult one to get out of bed, and Alex no longer has an issue waking up in the morning. "If you get up now we will have time for morning sex." The brunette whispered and kissed Piper's cheek before stripping down to nothing, leaving a trail of clothing to the bathroom. Usually, that would get Piper out of bed, relatively quick.

It was only a matter of time before Piper followed her girlfriend into the shower. Alex took her time, she opened the shower door and leaned over as she turned the water on. Piper had reached the door as the brunette was bent over, she bit her bottom lip as she admired Alex from a distance. "It looks like someone needs to remove some clothing," Alex stated. The two typically slept either naked or just in a tank top and panties, keeping their 'pajamas' simple.

Alex dragged the blonde into the shower once the water was nicely warmed, not too hot but not cold either. She started kissing Piper's neck, starting behind her ear and heading downwards. Piper moaned and her legs opened instinctively. She was aching to be touched. The brunette pushed her up against the wall and gently spread her lips with her thumb and forefinger. Alex loved pleasing her girlfriend, especially orally. Alex wasted no time getting on her knees. Alex's tongue went into auto-drive, knowing exactly how to please her partner. She had been around the rodeo, once or twice, well maybe several times before. Piper was not one of those women who took forever to orgasm, at least not with Alex as her partner. The brunette didn't stop until Piper came not once, not twice but three times.

"Holy Fuck Al." Piper needed to brace herself against the wall. Her orgasms were one of a kind and left her legs very unstable.

"Good Morning to you too." Alex leaned in to kiss her sexy girlfriend. "We better actually shower before we run out of time." It would not be the first time the couple was late to work due to shower sex.

They quickly washed their body and hair, then exited the shower so they could continue getting ready for their day.

It was 7 o'clock when they were walking out of the apartment. The plus side is that they were definitely on time. They walked down to the local coffee shop they enjoyed very much, ordered their usuals and spent some time together before parting ways. Alex always heads in one direction so she could head into Manhattan while Piper stays in Queens for work. Their lives were so busy due to work, that they did their best to remember to pause and enjoy time together, even if it was only for five or ten minutes.

Alex's work day was not like any other work day. Unfortunately, since she did play hooky the day before, she was left with a larger amount of work for the present day. Some might complain, but she enjoyed getting to spend a day with Piper. Between playing catch up and client meetings, Alex barely had time to take a lunch or even check in with Piper. Obviously, their days get hectic and they can't just sit there texting one another all day long, however they usually check in once or twice a day. The brunette barely had chances to stop and just use the restroom.

In Piper's line of work, her days were usually much calmer than Alex's. Unlike most youth centers, the one that Piper worked at was open in the morning for a short period before school and then it opened again in the afternoon through the evening. What did Piper do during the hours that kids were not around? Well, catch up numerous things around the center. Paperwork, creating proposals for new programs, creating events that the youth center hosted. There were about four hours of quietness throughout the center every day and Piper loved that.

Alex typically walks in the door around 5:45, while Piper doesn't usually get in until 6. Although Piper's work day technically ends at 5, which means she would get in around the same time as Alex, if not earlier. Most days Piper never walks out the door at exactly 5. There is always something or someone holding her back.

Nicky had already started dinner prior to the ladies getting home. They even had a guest joining them for dinner, Julia who was Nicky's blind date a couple days prior. It was incredibly weird for Nicky to be inviting someone over for dinner, after having one date. The red head always has tricks up her sleeves and surprises them.

"Nichols, what smells amazing?" Alex asked as she walked through the door. She was slightly shocked to see someone else in the kitchen aside from her roommate. She had no idea that they were having a guest join them.

The redhead gestured between her roommate and date/girl she liked/girl she fucks. "Alex, you remember Julia from the other night?" You could tell that Julia was shy and nervous. "Hi." Barely escaped her lips. She definitely seems like the opposite of Nicky, but who knows, maybe she is one of those types of people who warms up to you over time.

The brunette nodded as she put her bag down on the floor. "I'm grabbing a beer, could I get anyone anything?" Was Julia a drinker? Or maybe she was more of an innocent girl who didn't drink. She couldn't tell.

"Beers for the two of us Vause." Nicky responded. Alex went into their fridge and grabbed three beers. Piper would probably want one when she gets home but Alex knew she would want a nice cold one, not room temperature.
