Chapter 10: Death Reborn and The Awakening of The Shikon no Tama
Honestly I don't know what happened and why it came up in columns but I was too lazy to come around and fix it...bottom half isn't like it though.

Meikai crossed the room to her wardrobe and pulled out her black kimono. She was
going to go back to Naraku with whatever pride she had left. She filled the tub
in her room and heated the coals beneath it, she sighed and walked by the
window. The boy and Byakuya were no longer there, no doubt they were getting
Naraku. Her heart fluttered uncomfortably at the thought of him becoming her
mate. She crossed the room again and was about to reach for the door when it
slid open. Meikai took a step back, shocked. "Sesshomaru...!"
He closed the door behind him and walked into the room. They stared at each
other a moment then Sesshomaru grabbed her tightly and Meikai began to kiss him
fiercely. His hands greedily grabbed whatever he could possibly hold, Meikai
untying his silken robes and feeling his bare chest. Sesshomaru untied her obi
and kimono and let them gently fall to the ground. They stared at each other
again, both panting wildly. Sesshomaru pushed Meikai to the bed and pinned
her arms over her head, she stared at him, an undeniable hunger in his eyes that
she alone could satisfy.
His lips collided with hers, his hand running along her breasts. She gasped

stopped kissing her hand and leaned toward her. "I could help you," she said
kissing his lips tenderly.
Sesshomaru laughed bitterly, "Unfortunately, you cannot. I have to be tied
off to the Lady Meikai in order to win this war."
Meikai mounted him and he hissed slightly as she stretched to take in his
large length. She let only a soft moan escape her lips before she said "who is
this Lady Meikai? I believe her to be a coward...has she even once showed you
her powers? No. She stays in her room with makeup plastered onto her face."
Sesshomaru smirked and silenced her with a kiss, he lifted her up

Twenty minutes later, Sesshomaru was decent enough to leave Meikai's room. She
watched him go, slightly disappointed. She sighed and dressed herself.
Immediately she walked to the window and opened it. She sighed and leapt out of
the window. Byakuya appeared out of the forest and smiled. He looked weak, sleep
deprived, and hungry. "Don't worry about me." he said. " I have heard you have
been quite the handful." Byakuya began.
Meikai smiled, "You could say that..." she paused and looked back at the
castle. Meikai turned toward Byakuya again and said, "Take me to Naraku."

"Lord Sesshomaru, Scouts have been in the south and have seen Naraku only half a
mile away from here. I believe it requires your immediate attention." a guard
said.
Erina scowled, she didn't want her plans to be postponed. Sesshomaru
nodded and signaled Inuyasha to come over. Inuyasha nodded, and kissed Kagome
goodbye. He and Sesshomaru quickly left.

"Naraku." Meikai said softly to him.
Naraku, who was also craving Meikai's body stared at her hungrily. "Let
us not waste time," he began. "We both know what we want."
Meikai sighed and nodded. She pushed aside her robe and let him bite her
shoulder, receiving the mark of Naraku. Now it was her turn. Quietly she stood
on her tip toes and reached up for Naraku. She pulled on the collar of his robes
and slowly she brought her teeth up to his collarbone and sank her pearly white
fangs into the pale flesh. Immediately he heard a roar of anger, and felt the
earth shake beneath them. She turned to see Sesshomaru, his eye red with anger.
Then he and his half-brother stumbled as the earth quaked again. Meikai fell to
the ground and coughing and sputtering, blood oozing out of her mouth. The world
seemed to spin beneath and around her, then it stopped. The earth quaked again,
but he world stopped spinning. Meikai felt herself stand up, her head high and
proud. She saw the stupid hanyō with his mouth hanging open.
She looked at Sesshomaru who was equally shocked, though he did his best to hide it.
She heard Naraku laughing like it was the funniest joke in the world.
Slightly disgusted by this, she turned to Naraku. "You're welcome." she said.
Naraku bowed low, "Lady Meikai, you are very beautiful."
The earth quaked again, and Inuyasha pulled out his tetsuaiga and ran
toward them. He then shouted, "Wind scar!"
Naraku quickly grabbed Meikai and put up his barrier. He laughed at
Inuyasha's attempt. "I look forward to your death, hanyō brat." he leapt away with
Meikai in his arms.

Sesshomaru felt the earth tremble again, but he ignored it. He slammed his fist into a tree of the forest, it immediately crashing down by his strength. He had full control of Death, and he was oblivious. The servant Erina was now Lady Meikai, Lady Meikai was now Erina. He scowled, he should have known. A Lady raised with pride and respect would never be as disgusting as the fake Lady Meikai. Yet it still had fooled him. And Sesshomaru was given many hints! Inuyasha angrily watched him. "Well, what the hell are we going to do, Sesshomaru?" he demanded. Miroku, Sango, and Kagome had all joined them once they had returned to the castle.
"I don't know." Sesshomaru snapped. He hated that he was to be the only one responsible for this mistake, and that his half-brother was also thinking he was an idiot.
"So," began Miroku, "Let me get this straight…so the demon who said she was the Lady Meikai was only a servant, and the servant that was Naraku's concubine, was really Lady Meikai dressed as a servant?"
"Looks like," began Sango trying to wrap her mind around it. "So she really had no intention of staying ever really."
"No, not true. Earlier, the Lady Meikai –I mean, fake Lady Meikai had dismissed her, and she had in fact left but Rin had persuaded her to stay." Kagome said. "Sango and I talked to her after you had come back. She said that she was supposed to dismiss her when you first came for Meikai, but instead she was brought here."
"I don't care about that stupid whore." Inuyasha snapped. "She lied about being the Lady Meikai."
"Sit boy."
Inuyasha was thrown to the ground.
Sesshomaru paced angrily. Death had slipped straight through his fingers. He had claimed her several times! The missed opportunity was too embarrassing to think about, she and Naraku were probably laughing about it now! Inuyasha leaped up again, "Well all we can do now is fight. Try to put up a stand." He pulled out his tetsuaiga. "Personally I would like to see what Death will look like when she's dead."
"Sit boy."
Inuyasha groaned and got back up again. Miroku and Sango walked back to the castle, Inuyasha waiting for Kagome, who stood watching Sesshomaru. "Go ahead Inuyasha." She said softly. Inuyasha looked at her curiously then nodded. Sesshomaru turned to her and looked at her. "You –erm, you had sex with her…didn't you?" Sesshomaru looked away, disgusted at her words. "Sorry, that was a rude question to ask. I'm sorry…but listen. She'll probably listen to you, if you try to talk to her. If you did end up sleeping with her, she probably give you a few minutes of her time."
"And how could I possibly get a few minutes to talk to her?" snapped Sesshomaru.
"Inuyasha was half right. All we can do now is fight. But not just to put up a stand, but to buy you time." She said quietly. She waited for Sesshomaru to consider this. "She likes you. Enough not to kill you." She turned to the castle and stopped. "And bring Rin. She was very fond of her."

Naraku handed her a mirror. Meikai looked at her appearance. Her fangs were only a little bit longer, her lips still red, her hair still curly and black. But her eyes. They were blood red. Her black eyes were now replaced with red irises that shown like red rubies. She exhaled and handed him the mirror again. He bowed before her. "You seem worried, Naraku." She said softly.
"Worried? No…I was thinking." He said standing again and taking her hand. "What it would feel like to claim death."
Meikai looked lazily at him, "My, Naraku, you really are hasty." Naraku pulled Meikai toward him and held her closely. Naraku smiled, his red eyes meeting hers. "Let me think about this." She said softly. If she slept with Naraku, she would feel possibly more attached to Naraku, and grow dependent on him. Then she wouldn't have to feel guilty about her feelings toward Sesshomaru. She looked at Naraku again, and smiled mischievously. She pushed him away and untied his robes. He stared at her shocked, but then he smiled too and helped her undress himself. Meikai pulled down his breeches and feel to her knees. She stroked his manhood for a moment, and immediately Naraku hissed, his extension growing harder and harder as she gently ran a claw down his cock.

Kagome crossed the field toward her adopted son, Shippo. "Shippo!" she called, "Don't get too far! It's dangerous now!"

Kagome sighed and walked through the tall grass. The wind blew gently, it was peaceful. Inuyasha sniffed the air. He could smell it… "Kagome! Shippo! Come back!" he yelled.
Kagome turned around to look at her husband who was jumping foot to foot. "What?" she called. He shouted back but Kagome couldn't hear. "I can't tell what you're trying to do. Sit boy!" she watched Inuyasha fall to the ground. She was about to turn back again when she felt an excruciating pain in her side. She gasped as she felt her side split open. Blood soaked the side of her outfit and she fell to the ground. She looked up to see Naraku standing above her.
"The Shikon no Tama*." He said. "Thank you for holding it for all these years Kagome. Meikai and I will put this to good use."

"What do I want with mercenaries? Dead ones too?"
"The Band of Seven in their time were legendary. If we resurrect them from the dead… we'll be unstoppable." Naraku answered.
Meikai looked at him with her ruby eyes. "I know, I heard about them. They were alive ten years ago, I saw them then too. And the Shikon no Tama can do that for us? Resurrect mercenaries from a decade ago?"
Naraku smiled and cracked the Shikon jewel in his hand. He chipped seven shards off of the stone which was growing more black as he held it. "We can do anything with this."
Meikai looked at the stone. She knew everything about it. She had desired it for many years, but now that she was a full demon. It seemed less desirable. "I will resurrect this Band of Seven. I want you to watch over them, though. I want to know if they will truly be dependent on the Shikon no Tama."
