KK: Disney Recoded
Oblivia: Hi guys! (: It's good to see everyone again and I'm sooooo sorry for being so late with the update but hey, I hope this makes up for it. (: (p.s. I hope everyone's been doing awesome!)
(Bumblebee from Transformers then suddenly walks in looking confused)
Oblivia: What in the world!? Bee what are you doing here? This is a Kingdom Keepers fanfic not Transformers.
Bumblebee: Ohhhh. My bad. I'm so sorry. I must have went through the wrong door but hey since I'm here can I stay and listen to the story? I've always wanted to see what a KK fanfiction was like. (:
Oblivia: (sighs then pats the seat beside my own with a smile) Ok Bumbles. You can stay and listen but you have to be good. (:
Bumblebee: YEAH! :D I'll be good. I promise. (: (starts quietly playing "I'm so excited" through his radio)
Oblivia: (giggles) Ok. I trust you Bee. Now to the disclaimer! :D
Kingdom Keepers isn't mine. Neither is Bumblebee but I wish he was. X)
ENJOY MY FRIENDS! :D
Chapter 9
For a moment or two I just stood there, millions upon millions of thoughts racing through my head at once.
'How did this guy know my name?'
'How in the world did he make a hologram of himself?'
'Why did I feel like I could trust him even though we've never met before?'
A crackly chuckle interrupted my thoughts causing me to look up at the older man, or Wayne, with a questioning gaze.
"We've met before," he said, a crooked smile playing at the edges of his thin lips.
"You just don't remember me."
I knew my jaw was dragging the ground a bit at that point as only one explanation to what just happened came to mind.
'OH MY GOSH! THIS OLD TIMERS A MIND READER!'
Once again the holographic old man laughed to himself.
"And No. I'm not a mind reader either. So pick up and close that jaw of yours please."
With an audible SNAP, I did as instructed but couldn't help but let out one of my MANY questions. Though all I could get out of myself was unfortunately one word of it.
"How?"
Wayne sighed, his smile seeming to grow a fraction of an inch wider as he spoke.
"You're a very easy person to read Eisa Whitman. Not that that's a bad thing but it does show me how much you and your father are alike."
A small chuckle escaped the older man as if he were reminiscing in a funny memory from long ago and his eyes at the mention of my dad seem to light up with a happy fondness.
I couldn't help but smile at this little display.
"How do you know my father?" I asked, my slight smile never leaving my face.
"We were old friends. I knew your father when he was only about your age, maybe more, maybe less. But back then he and some of his friends helped me and on more than one occasion even saved me."
"Saved you?" I repeated with what I could guess was a pretty darn awe struck face. Wayne noticing the expression I gave, let loose a hearty chuckle.
"Yes. He and his friends even saved me," The old man's happy mood faded and his whole domineer changed to one of seriousness and worry as he continued to speak. "But that's not important right now. Right now we need to worry about you."
I could feel my fear begin to rise from Wayne's words and instant mood change. Plus the next few words that he spoke just added, if not skyrocketed the gut wrenching feeling.
"You're in danger right now. Especially with no knowledge of the things you will encounter in the future. Now don't ask me how I know. I just do. So please ask your dad about his past."
Slowly as Wayne said those last words, his hologram began to dissipate but from the sadness in his watery yet calm eyes, the farewell didn't seem to be a planned one.
"Wait!" I said hastily to the disappearing old man.
"What if he says he can't tell me or tries to make an excuse not to tell!?"
The old timer gave a soft smile as he answered.
"Tell im' Wayne told im' to. And take this with ya." Wayne rummaged around in his pocket until he found what he was looking for. He quickly tossed the small object to me. It was a pen. Though not just any pen. It was the same pen from my dream.
I looked back up at the almost evaporated man before me.
"What do I do with it?"
Wayne put a translucent hand on my right shoulder and with that same soft comforting grin and teary eyes said, "Use it when you're in a jam. Good luck Eisa. I believe in you."
With those last encouraging words the white haired old man with the dimpled smile disappeared in a flurry of blue and white electrical sparks.
I took in a shaky breath and let it out as I processed what just happened.
'Eisa pull yourself together. You need to finish what you've started.' My mind sternly put in.
I knew my head was right. I had to finish the investigation. So with a not so confident nod I began to journey forward down a road to the right of the castle that would lead me to Fantasyland.
Before long I reached The Sword in The Stone display that I'd always heard of. I'd even been told by some that when pulled by the right person, would slide free from the rock that held it. Though it wouldn't come all the way free it was still a wonderful little moment that for that split second made you feel like a king or Queen. That was the Disney touch for you.
As I stared at the realistic display I gingerly ran my fingers along the hilt, temptation to try and pull it out tugging at the corners of my mind.
"Eisa! You there!?" Came a static voice that frankly scared the living crap out of me causing me to jump at least a few feet in the air.
I looked down at the walkie talkie connected to my belt loop realizing that that was probably the origin of the voice. I unclipped the small devise from my pants and held it close to my lips to speak into.
"Yeah. I'm here. What's up Ash?"
"Nothing really." Said ginger immediately answered. "All the cameras still seem to be turned off. How's everything on your end?"
I sighed and ran a hand through my ebony locks as the very recent memory of Wayne came back to the front of my mind. I let out one more sigh before finally answering Ash back.
"I came across a holographic man who seemed to know who I was. He said that I was in danger and needed to ask my dad about his past. Then he gave me the same pen I've been seeing in my dream. All in all let's just say there's some weird stuff going on here."
"Indeed Eisa Whitman." Said a smooth, velvet voice from behind me.
I whirled around, fear causing my heart to beat a mile a minute and the sight that met me when I was completely turned didn't help my poor franticly pulsing heart at all. For there decked out in long purple and black robes, a giant flared out white collar and stately royal crown was none other than the evil queen from Snow White.
"You're correct dear child. There certainly are many weird things happening around here." The Queen continued with a crooked grin as she began to walk closer causing me to instinctually take a few steps back.
"Umm hey," I began with a shaky voice. "I'll have to talk to you in a little bit."
"Wait! What!? Eisa What's," And with that I turned off my walkie and put it back onto my belt loop once more.
A mischievous chuckle immediately followed.
I looked up to see the Evil Queen smirking.
"Who was that you were just talking to?"
"No one." I answered defensively making the Queen cackle again.
With a slight flip of her long velvet cape, the Disney villain began to strut towards my ridged form, her heeled feet making an audible click clack sound as she did.
This time I couldn't move and when she finally reached my side, all I did was stare at her in a mixture of fear and hate.
"You can't fool me child. That was Ashton Philby wasn't it?"
The queen started to circle me like a lion would its prey as she continued.
"You can't keep secrets from us, Eisa. We always find the answers we're looking for."
"We?" I asked in confusion.
Again the regal women laughed never once stopping in her revolutions around me while answering.
"The Overtakers. We've been hiding, waiting and now we can finally exact our revenge."
The Evil Queen came to a stop before me, gazing into my soul, it seemed, with intense loathing and I had to admit, it was terrifying.
With an unsteady voice I couldn't help but ask, "What kind of revenge?"
The answer was pretty simple and from the moment it left the dark hearted women's lips, my blood ran as cold as ice.
"The complete destruction of this pathetic theme park and the conquering of your world."
'What!?' My brain question franticly as I began to take a few steps back.
I didn't know what to say or do but one command rushed through my head, just like in my dream. Run. So without hesitation I shook my head and began to book it towards Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, never looking back.
From behind my retreating form I heard a cackle and a smooth voice reciting an incantation.
"The child of my enemy tries to run away stop her progress in this way: slow her limbs with each step and bind her muscles in an icy grip."
All at once a painful chill ran up my legs, seeping into the pores of my skin, and into the muscles, causing them to begin constricting. That tightening slowed me until I became stuck like an icy statue in mid stride.
"Oh Eisa." The Evil Queen sighed with a crooked grin as she appeared before me once more.
"Running wasn't the best idea."
Everything seemed to be in slow motion as another spell was being chanted right in front of my frozen body (most likely to kill me if the events from earlier tonight were any indication) but for some reason I didn't hear the words that left the Queens lips. A different male voice cut into my thoughts instead.
"Think of something or somewhere warm and don't stop thinking about it."
It was Wayne! And how he got into my head I didn't know and frankly didn't care. All I wanted to do was get away so Ash and I could go home.
So trusting the old timer I thought up the warmest thought or memory I could.
Then it hit me, the time I went to Coco Beach with my parents and Ashton!
I could remember the scorching heat of the blaring sun on our backs as we ran across the sand towards the rippling ocean waves. I could still feel the tiny beads of sweat that slid down my flushed face and the sound of laughter and seagulls all around me.
A warm fuzzy feeling starting in my middle had begun to spread throughout my whole body at the memory and before I knew it the icy grip that once seized my limbs melted away into just a chilling memory.
Good thing too because just as I got the feeling in my muscles back the Queen dealt her fault magic spell.
With a scared meep I jumped out of the spells way and onto the hard concrete ground to the left of where I originally stood.
"Now get the pen and click it! Hurry!" Wayne once again said within my mind, his voice urgent.
Without missing a beat I did as instructed. Grabbing the pen from my pocket I glanced up at the Queen one last time as she advanced with an absolutely furious expression before clicking the top of the pen.
Everything went instantly dark.

"AHHH!"
My eyes finally shot open and with heavy breaths I tried to steady my frantic heart. It took me a minute of deep breaths but I eventually managed.
Now calmed down enough to function I took in my surroundings and well let's just say that shocked was a VERY big understatement.
I was once again back in my little cozy room sitting atop my fluffy blanketed bed.
'What? How did I get back here?' brain questioned dumbfoundedly but then another more terrifying thought hit me.
'Where's Ash!?'
I quickly got out my phone, pulled up Ashton's number and began to furiously text.
Ash!? Where are you!? Are you at your house too!?
I prayed to myself as I hit the send button.
All kinds of awful possibilities passed through my head waiting for my red haired friend to answer. Like, what if he was still in the Magic Kingdom security Camera room and the Evil Queen found him or the Cameras just turned back on catching him in a place he shouldn't have been.
I was so scared that I might have lost Ash somehow that I seriously felt as if I were going to pass out.
Thankfully fate was kind and my purple cellphone buzzed notifying me that I had a new message.
Without missing a beat I grabbed the phone and pushed the read icon on the screen.
Eisa, don't worry. I'm fine and yea I'm back at home. By the way, how did we back home in the first place?
I let out a huge sigh of relief knowing he was safe and to tell you the truth, that's all I wanted or needed to know. The thought of losing my best friend was something I never wanted to feel again. It hurt too much.
So with a shake of my head I cleared out my earlier what ifs and fears and texted back Ash.
I think it had something to do with that old pen I was telling you about. I just clicked it, everything went black and then I woke up here in my room.
Another message came to my phone a minute or two after my reply.
That's weird. How could clicking a pen do that?
I'm not sure. What I am certain of though, is that staying up won't help us any. We need some sleep and in the morning when we get to school we can talk things through when we're more clear headed.
I clicked the send button as I laid back down on my bed, covering the fuzzy comforter over myself while doing so.
A text came a minute later.
Ur right. And besides I'm pooped from having to watch your back almost all night. So thanks AJ! XD I hope you have dreams about clowns! XD
I laughed to myself at the message and with a smile immediately sent one back.
Lol my bad. Sorry there Ash Man. xD Well Goodnight Ashton. Don't let the bugs bite. (:
Same to you, Eisa. Nighty nights. (:
And with that last received text, I placed my phone on the nightstand beside me and closed my eyes hoping beyond hope that my dreams would be just that: dreams.
Well ok. There it is guys! :D I hope you all liked it and once again I'm sooo very sorry for the wait. Please review if you want to, I love feedback and have a wonderful day. Love ya'll! 3
