Last Time…
She unconsciously began to stroke his hair weaving the silver fingers through pink wild locks. Its warmth permeating the cold steel that she had become accustomed to. A soft giggle escaped her ever pursed lips, remembering all the battles she had with Mira over his attention only for Lisanna to take it away.
Mention her fallen friend her thoughts fell from the high they were into the darkness of her past.
Her resolved hardened recalling her mission she gave herself years ago. Her heart was tearing itself apart not only craving the love she wanted but the friendship she lost. 'I can't think about true happiness until they are all free.' She thought before turning towards the window gazing into the distance. 'I don't think I can choose between them.' Fighting the urge to gaze upon the crush in her lap. Deciding that could wait, they needed her more.
'He needs me more.'
"Jellal." Whispering to herself.
The group spent the majority of the trip in silence, with Lucy starting a conversation about each other's magic seeing that she only knew Natsu's and a few others. Gray kindly demonstrated his power for her which causes her to oh and Natsu to chuckle mumbling "ice princess" in his sleep. Then it was Erza's turn tell Lucy about her powers the fairy queen said she believed Gray's magic was more appealing. In turn the blue fur ball made a comment that sent shivers down the blonde's spine.
For Natsu the trip was probably the most relaxing train ride he had ever had. Cuddling deeper into the legs of one of the most beautiful women he has ever met falling deeper into his sleep. Soon Natsu found himself adjusting his position but something was off. The overwhelming smell of strawberries was gone it was just a lingering scent that remained on the seat. But what caught the dragon slayer off more than anything, was his motion sickness was gone.
'The Train had stopped!' his realization came too late when the train lurched forward and all his symptoms returned in full force. "Ughhh… Where did they go?" Natsu groaned feeling the effects more so than when Erza was on board.
At The Train Station
The group of four were about take the last steps out of the station.
'Am I forgetting something?' Lucy thought taping her finger to her chin doing a quick rundown before she continued her trip with her friends. 'Purse, extra jewels, diary, and keys.' Sighing in relief knowing she has everything. "Maybe they forgot something." Looking up and seeing Erza, Gray, and Happy but was missing her pink haired partner.
Looking around she realized that he was nowhere in sight. "We left Natsu on the train!" the group continued their walk towards, "We Left Natsu on the Train."
They turned slowly figuring out that she was telling the truth. In one collective voice they spoke. "Shit!"
Back on the Train
Finding no reason to remain laying down Natsu sat up trying to hold in his food. Mumbling about his friends not caring enough about him and his wellbeing. "Even Happy Left me," as if on cue a reel of times when he has done that before appeared in his head. "Now that I think about it that's not unusual for him, but Erza and Lucy… Ughh!"
So entrapped in his own thoughts he didn't notice a man walking his way through the car. Wearing a mostly white outfit and a maroon shirt underneath his jacket. His demeanor was that of a total ass, but he noticed the legal guild stamp on Natsu right shoulder. The man developed an evil smirk on his face.
"I see you're from those Legal guilds that takes all the good jobs." Natsu looked up slowly still weakened from the constant motion of the train. As soon as his eyes met the other man a foot was implanted in Natsu face. "You guys really piss me off… You know how hard it is to make good money with people like you around. Beside y'all steal all the pretty girls." Kicking Natsu to the floor before he named the people who came to mind. "Fairy Tail especially. I would do anything to get some of your girls in our guild, like Cana she the drinker right? That probably means she likes to party I bet we would have plenty of fun with her. My buddy back home like petite girls so I guess that book worm I have read about would due… you know the one with the blue hair?" this point Natsu strength was slowly returning allowing him to start pushing himself up, with the narrowing of his eyes.
"Oh I almost forgot you guys got a new member. News has spread she got a total body, we promise we would take good care of her. Well at least the lower rank members would we strong members have our eyes on the top two prizes. Titania, I mean who wouldn't want to fuck a queen until she can't move. Personally she is too manly for me." Natsu's blood was boiling ready to burst forth boil this man alive.
'If this guy says who I think he is going to say I will kill him.' the fury displayed in his now slitted eyes spoke so much truth.
"But your poster girl Miraj-" Interrupting his sentence was a punch that was engulfed in flames. It threw the guy through all the seating on the right side of the train car.
Natsu spoke low and quiet. "If you so much as mention something insulting about Mira I will-" the pink haired man hands shot up to cover his face from barfing up once again.
Dusting himself off Kageyama stood up with a sigh a relief flowing out his mouth seeing his opponent was back on his knees. "You had me worried there, thinking you were some big bad fairy… Haha those words should never be in the same sentence. You and your legal guild can't possibly match up to Eisenwald." His playful attitude melted away believing the pink haired man in front of him deserved some payback. "Now I believe it is time for a little demonstration of real power. Shadow Knuckles!"
From underneath him a dozen fist shaped forms erupted flying towards the temporarily down dragon slayer. Natsu seeing him this managed to bring up his guard. This action allowed him to maintain his ground and just slide along the aisle.
Once he stopped still feeling the effects of the motion sickness. Suddenly the train strained to a stop, causing both mages to readjust to this motion. The stop caused a small smile to spread across his face.
"Thank god that is over. Now were you going to say something about Mira?" he flung his arms downward they ignited into a blood red flame that cause the room to heat up. "Cause I believe you were, since that is the case I think I am going to beat your ass."
Jumping forward at fist cocked back as his fire began to swirl madly around it. Kageyama knowing that at this very second he need to block, he crossed his arms calling forth his shadows once again. Natsu unleashed his fist screaming "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" the shadows weren't prepared for the overwhelming might of the attack only able to partially deflect the power sending it towards the roof of the train car. Exploding it outwards leaving the area filled with smoke. While the remaing portion of the force floored the shadow mages causing his body to nearly bounce off the ground.
"Oh yeah! I still got it." Natsu straighten his pose admiring his handy work. Gazing down he saw a weird looking flute with three eyes almost demonic purple eyes. It seemed to radiate a dark magic that called to Natsu on some level. Feeling it call upon his darker magic the pinkette knew what to do.
Kageyama saw his opponents gaze shift to the flute fearing for his life if the stupid fairy got his hands on it. He crawling on his hands and knees as fast as he could only to hear and see the flute be crushed under the foot of said fairy. The color faded from his face. "Do you have any idea what you have done?" Scraping together the pieces that lay on the floor.
Natsu who had his back turned and was already walking away turned his head over his shoulder gave his toothy smile and said. "No clue."
Kageyama couldn't make up his mind on whether to be extremely pissed off or to be on the point of tears. The only thing for certain is that a sweat-drop had formed. As he watched the mystery mage grab his bag. 'He has to be an idiot… but if he is then I lost to an idiot. Erigor is going to kill me!'
"Attention passengers. We would like to apologize for the emergency stop, we will depart shortly." A womanly voice came over the intercom.
"There is no way I am staying on the death trap," Natsu grabbed his stuff and hopped out of the hole in the roof. His head popped back into see Kageyama staring at him. "See yah later shadow-guy." His head once again disappeared back into the hole.
"Definitely an idiot." Kageyama mumbled giving into his defeat and failure.
On top of the car Natsu felt the train lurch forward one quick time. 'Now or never.' He thought before jumping off the car, hoping that his nightmare would be over boy was he wrong.
He knew he landed on something it was firm yet soft, however he knew it was in motion because the motion sickness had returned yet again. Looking up he saw the last thing he want to see. His onyx colored eyes met beautiful hazel that seemed hold both happiness and blind fury. 'Oh no! Erza, which means this is Erza's…' he never finished his thought as his motion sickness came back with vengeance.
The pink head dropped deeper into valley in-between her legs. His breathing became ragged both for fearing for his life and fighting his body to move. All he succeeded in doing was rubbing his face deeper while blowing hot erratic breath into Erza's womanhood.
Erza was fighting a war in her body part of her was begging to let the moan that was building up in the back of her throat. She had already given up the effort to force the blush back down. 'Oh, Kami even through my skirt its. NO bad Erza! Bad!' finally swallowing the moan back down, she got all her sense back to normal.
Pulling the E-brake the car slid to a stop jolting the other passengers. "Erza why did we stop the train is getting away." Asked Gray as he stepped out of the car along with Lucy and Happy.
"Because Natsu just fell into my lap." She grabbed the still weakened boy by his scarf lifting him up so they could see.
Sweat-drops formed on the mages just now understanding that she literally meant he fell into her lap. Lucy looked at the departing train car with a hole in the top. "Was there always a hole in that car?" Lucy asked softly pointing towards the train car they were in.
Everyone heard a soft chuckle coming from the Natsu who was starting to stand up. "Don't worry about that. Some dark mage prick said something he shouldn't and I had to set him straight." The dragon slayer looked to his guilds wondering why they had utter shock on their face.
This when Erza spoke in a dark and calm voice. "Did he happen to say which guild Natsu?" placing her gauntlet hand onto his shoulder.
"Uhm… Yeah it was uhm… Eisnbad, Aisendoll, Eisenwald. Yeah it was definitely Eisenwald." He eyes closed due to the intense concentration.
"Natsu?" Erza voice just above a whisper. "You. Idiot!" as she finished her sentence a punch sent him into the ground. "That is the guild we need stop, and you just let him get away."
"How the hell am I supposed to know that when I was asleep?" Natsu grumbled into the dirt. Lucy, Happy, and Gray agreed despite how much the ladder didn't want to.
However Erza never saw it that way. As she stomped Natsu further into hole. Before picking him up and tossing his unconscious body into the back of the car taking her seat as the driver ordering everyone else to get in. They speed off after the train trying to catch up.
When the group made it to the next city they could tell something was wrong due to the audience in front of the station. After some of Erza's guild renowned interrogation techniques they discover that Eisenwald had taken over the station. Once inside they met Erigor along with the rest of the dark guild waiting for them. Soon after the initial confrontation Erigor slipped away, Erza noticed and quickly sent Natsu and Gray to stop him. Eventual they realized the town was never the target. Erza and Gray managed to figure out that Lullaby could regenerate if given enough magic, and that the target was the guild master's conference. Grabbing Kageyama and Lucy they made their way towards the entrance.
They could hear and feel the wind getting stronger as they got closer, but what bothered them the most was the overwhelming magic that they hadn't felt in two years. In front of them just out of shouting range was Natsu crouched down low holding something back behind him.
Erza could make out the glint of a sword being held in quick draw position. 'When did he get a sword, let alone learn to use it?' she thought as she got closer. "Natsu!" she yelled hoping her voice would reach him through the wind. It did not, she notice the blade started glow an ominous black light just before the dragon slayer spoke.
"Chaos Dragon Apocalyptic Great Sword!" the roar from said dragon slayers attack barely made it through the noise of the wind. He swung his sword forward forcing an opening into the barrier, which he jumped through the opening. Leaving a stunned and shock team behind.
The last thing they saw before the scar healed itself was Natsu's blade seemingly evaporate into thin air. Snapping out of it Erza once again tried to wake up Kageyama. While Gray using his Ice make magic tried to make a way out.
'Well everyone else is helping I need to too.' Lucy thought as she went for her keys grabbing Taurus. "I summon thee Taur—."
"LUCYYY!" happy flew full speed hitting her in the head stopping her from summoning her celestial spirit. "I remembered what I had to tell you." He squealed pulling out a golden key out of his pack.
"Virgos key!"
Railroad Miles away
"There's the town. Hold on you old geezers!" said the wind mage as he was flying over the rail road tracks.
"Rawwwwr!" Erigor turned around to see the pink haired mage that had already become a pain in his side flying towards him with wings made out of fire. So stunned by his sudden appearance he made no effort to stopping the fiery kick to the face. Sending the dark mage spiraling towards the tracks.
While Natsu landed softly in-between Erigor and the town. "Y-you." Erigor spoke emerging from the smoke of his crash landing. "You're that Fairy Tail member... What are you doing here?" shooting Natsu a glare.
"Well, all those guys back at the station seem to think you're strong. So, I am here to prove them wrong. But more than anything I am here to beat up some fake shinigami that threaten Jiji." Natsu ignited his hands in blood red fire after.
The shirtless scythe wielding mage began to chuckle which then became a full blown hysterical laughter. "I guess I can spare a few minutes to swat a fly." Lifting up his free hand a dark magic circle appeared before a cyclone shot out towards the unprepared fire mage. Blowing out all his flames throwing him back.
From the cloud and debris Natsu shoot forward using the fire at his feet as booster. But Erigor quickly jumped up hovering over his head. 'Using fire to increase his speed and no doubt his attacks. What is he?' those were the thought going through the dark mages head.
Natsu slid to a stop using his hands to turn him around them slamming his feet onto the tracks stopping his backwards motion. "That's not fair get you tattooed ass back down here." Natsu began to throw a fit completely forgetting he can fly too.
"I don't fight fair. Storm Bringer!" replied the floating mage. A tornadoe surrounded Natsu throwing him around as rocks, wood and metal batter him inside the spell. Once the wind ceased it flung him into the deep trench beneath the tracks.
"O-oh, crap! This isn't good! What do I do..?!" falling upside down he tapped his chin while crossing his legs. 'Oh. I'm an idiot.' Was the only thought he came up with. "Fire Dragon's Flamed Flight" A bright light could be seen from deep within the trench, followed by Natsu flying upwards at a high speed. Landing on the tracks once again with a giant smirk on his face.
"I almost forgot I can fly too." He said just before he broke out into laughter. Natsu began to suck in a lot of air, just too suddenly stop. "Fire Dragon Roar!" a torrent of flames exploded from his mouth about to consume Erigor.
When he countered "Storm Wall" the wall of wind stopped most flames from reaching him but burnt a good portion of his glove. 'I can't believe this guy… Nothing he does makes any sense!' He thought while narrowing his eyes at Natsu. "It seems I underestimated you… How about now we take it up a couple notches."
"I'm getting fired up!" Natsu yelled dropping into his usual fighting stance.
The shirtless dark mage grasped his scythe with both hands and begun to spin it causing he wind to build up once again. "Storm Mail" Nastu couldn't believe his eyes the man infront of him was surround by what seemed to be wind flowing around his body like armor. "Bring it on little fairy." Taunted the wind cloaked mage.
Jumping forward releasing a "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist" only for the fire to be blown out before it could make contact. The blade of Erigor's scythe came down nearly slicing Natsu in half but he evade by jumping back then using a fire cloaked foot kicked the scythe out of his hand. Continuing with his rotation he brought the other foot up covered in flames only for them to blown out and his leg blown with it.
"Shit. Why, won't my stupid flames hit you?" Natsu was seething at the effectiveness of his magic. Ignited his entire body began his onslaught once again, punches and kicks were thrown at Erigor. Each one faster than the last only to meet the same fate as the previous one, this only infuriated Natsu even more pushing more power into each blow while Erigor stood there as if nothing was happening.
The wind mage extended his hand at Natsu, the dragon slayer believing it was an attack hopped back into a defense position. Nothing happened for several minutes Natsu sharp hearing picked up the sound of a blade spinning his way. Cartwheeling out of the way the scythe he got rid of earlier return to the wind mage's hand. "I have had enough of this game little man." Pointing the end of his weapon at Natsu he called out his next attack. "Storm Shredder!" blades of when began to shoot out of his storm mail flying in Natsu's general direction.
Natsu's battle instincts kicked in taking full control of his movements. There were too many for any normal man or mage to dodge but Natsu it was almost second nature. "Damn!" he shouted as one blade slide over his forearm. 'There no room up here… Then let's show him how a dragon flies.' Natsu dove off the bridge which confused Erigor until he saw the winged Natsu fly back up and at him.
"I can still hit you in the air you idiot!" yelled Erigor as he continued his attack towards the sky.
Unfazed by the blades slowly closing in on him. Natsu began to dive towards the dark mage, only opening his wings just enough to change direction maneuvering around the attacks. He was getting closer and it seemed like his speed was rising. "Fire Dragon…" he whispered the closer he got.
"Just die already." Lifting his other hand, simultaneously the blades double in number and speed.
Natsu ignored his actions as his wings open to their full length then enveloped his entire body in fire. "Sword Horn!" Natsu took the blades head on as it cut off piece of his fire that seemed to shield his body. His head made contact with Erigor's storm mail, the intial shockwave riped up pieces of track. However it did little to reach or even hurt Erigor keeping up his fire he propelled forward forcing his head into the armor to head butt the dark mage to the ground.
Using the wind to pick himself back up holding his nose that was now bleeding. "All that for a bloody nose? You really are sad huh, Mister Dragon?" poking the dragon once again.
Sighing realizing all his work was for little reward. 'I guess it's time to see how much control I have.' Natsu crossed his arms letting them ignite into a flame much like before.
"I'll give you this you're a stubborn fool." Erigor complimented, Natsu however completely ignored him closing his eye's concentrating on the task at hand.
The flame's color began to darken, from a bright red until it reached black. The flames dance in slow motion much different from what it was like in its lighter form. "You can change the color all you want it won't matter, your fire can't reach me.
His body coiled up preparing to attack. 'It's a lot easier to use then when he was training me… I can't even hear the voices.' Launching forward faster than before. "Chaos Dragon's Fissure Fist!" Natsu was within striking distance before Erigor could react, but he could see the flames on his fist take the shape of a spear head.
A smirk appeared on Erigor's face. 'Changing the shape of your won't due shit.' His arrogance caused him to stand his ground and take the attack.
The spear head of black flames went through the wind armor unaffected. Erigor was stunned and unable to stop the blade that would cut into his head. It was Natsu's turn to smirk, right before his flames made contact with the dark mage's face the spear lost its form just coating his fist. Said fist cracked the so called Shinigami jaw sending him to the track sliding across the now destroyed.
Releasing his Storm Mail, feeling his magic disappear after holding it up for so long. "How fire doesn't work against my wind." The words barely understandable through the blood and swollenness that is his jaw.
Chuckling to himself Natsu walked over to his downed enemy. "Simple that wasn't fire. It was chaos."
'Chaos?' Questioning Erigor as hoped back up. Floating into the sky above the tracks and Natsu. "Playtime is over you little shit. I will kill you for now." He spoke with venom dripping in each words. Crossing his index and middle finger of each hand forcing a magic circle to appear. "Emera Baram!" once those words were left his mouth five smaller circles formed around the main circle. Cyclones flew from them with blades of wind being added for extra damage.
Natsu was sucking in a vast amount of air preparing for his next and final attack. The tornado that was coming his way was mere feet from impact. "Chaos Dragon's Roar!" a beam of dense black magic shot out of his mouth.
The two attacks dueled for dominance for until Natsu roar tore through the cyclone like it wasn't there consuming Erigor and flying far into the distances begin seen for miles. When it finally ended Erigors body fell to the ground pale and fragile.
Natsu walked over to make sure the battle was over, decided to poke him with his foot. "Looks like a win for Fairy Tail's dragon slayer." Falling to the ground deciding to take a quick nap before his friends arrive.
'A dragon slayer… A chaos dragon slayer?!' Erigor let unconsciousness consume him.
Five minutes ago with Team Natsu
Erza once again took the helm driving the magic driven car, though she would never admit it she was feeling the drain of said device. Her thoughts and prays all focused on staying awake and stopping Erigor from reach the guild master's conference. Gray begging her to slow down before she hurts herself from magic exhaustion.
"Erza you will pass out and be useless if you don't at least slowdown!" Gray yelled from the back seat of the car hoping to help.
"I know that Gray that's why I am putting all my faith in you and Natsu, but we need to catch up with him." was the only reply need to cause him to silence and think.
He was about to reply when everyone felt the overwhelming magical pressure. To Erza, Gray and Happy the pressure was all too familiar. They had felt this power earlier today and it brought back bad memories.
"Natsu…" Erza whispered knowing that it was his power. The black beam of magic shot across the sky giving them an idea of how close they were. 'I have to hurry. If he loses control again I don't know if I can stop him the way I am.' She pushed her remaining magic into the machine forcing it forward.
They rode for what seemed like a few miles until Erza forced a stop. Seeing a tuff of pink hair lying on the tracks unmoving. Fear crept into her heart as she saw Natsu body just lying there, she ran with all her might to his side praying he was ok.
"Zzz…Zzz…" She could hear him snoring with a drowl hanging out of his mouth. Unrivalled rage began to swell up within her. "Zzz…"
That last snore caused her to snap. "NATSUUU!" the yell stirred the dragon slayer from sleep.
"Uhm… there you are my crimson princess. Where you been?" his voice filled with sleep but she definitely was able to hear and understand what he said. Smiling softly too tired to fight her blush her hand weaved through his hair one more time. Before looking at the battlefield. Noticing Erigor weakened body laying a few feet away.
"Erza Natsu!" Titania turned around to see her guild mates running towards her.
The group reunited causing the sleeping fire mage to wake up. They began a conversation congratulating each other for the mission's success. Making his way out of the car to see the group was Kageyama. He looked further down the track as he saw his guilds ace completely destroyed, then looking back at the fire mage he met earlier seeing no serious wounds at all. However he wasn't the only one watch the group, in the distance a man shrouded in a dark cloak.
Kageyama stood there totally applaud, "I beat Erigor, by himself… And I thought I could beat him with easy." Taking another once over at the downed wind mage he sees the object that set this whole ideal in order. Lullaby was just lying there, if he was able to get past them he could reach the guild hall and finish everything.
Before the Fairy Tail mages could react the car flew over their head with arms made from shadows hanging out. That wasn't what bothered them it was the fact that in one of the arms was Lullaby.
AN: Please review if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask I might not answer it fully due to revealing too much of the story but I will try. I would say I am sorry about taking so long but truthfully I am not. LOL. It got boring halfway through so I took a break. Came back ready to write, I have a whole new respect for people who do good fighting scenes it is hard. Next chapter will be Natsu x Mira mainly him explaining everything to her.
