"Bloody damn, twice. My fragments died twice trying to kill a brat of Level 1." A human figure with inhumane pith black eyes and dark energy flowing around him muttered in rage as he punched the tree beside him

This figure was Giovanni a well known monster trainer and the father of Georgia. He had been missing for weeks and seemed to have been possessed by an evil force.

'I do not understand why master wanted to target this child but now it is personal. He needs to die for this crime.' Giovanni thought as he clenched his hand causing it to bleed and as his blood touched the ground, new shadows were born and these two seemed even more sinister than the last one.

"Kill the boy in the most painful way and anything that comes in your way." He commanded and the shadows flew towards their target while Giovanni focused on the monsters around him.

'The barrier is stronger than I expected but I need to get inside to find my original body or I will be stuck as a weakling forever.' Giovanni mused with a serious expression and commanded his personal monsters to get ready

"Flygon, Rhydon, Steelix get ready. We are going t breakthrough the so called demon." Giovanni muttered as his body radiated bloodlust of the highest order, which attracted the attention of people that were sensitive.

'Come and I will show you what a true demon is like.'

"Are you okay now?" Mana asked as Naruto stood up healed from the damage with the help of his healing factor and the pill

"I am okay" Naruto replied even though he felt pain in his body and heart but he was a man and a man could never show weakness

"That's good but don't push yourself too far, the enemies this time are stronger than anything you faced before." Mana said as she knew that Naruto was trained by Mifune in an inhuman manner but Naruto was connected deeply to Mifune so he never felt that danger like a normal person

Naruto nodded and asked, "Big sis, do you know what is happening?"

"Monsters have gone crazy and seemed to be possessed by dark spirits so we should get back inside the barrier to be safe." Mana replied as she took his hand

"Is the city safe?" Naruto questioned as he was feeling worried for his friends now

"Yes, the Governor is strong and our guards should also be helping them." Mana said but deep inside she wasn't sure either and felt worried for her people

"Thank you for saving me and taking care of me." Naruto said in a emotional tone as his worries were slightly put to rest and he remembered to be grateful for the rescue

"No problem, you are my little brother so it is my duty to help." Mana hugged him and started running with Naruto in her embrace as she could run faster than her flight which also drained a lot of chakra

But things weren't look good as the two shadows arrived and attacked Mana from the back.

Mana dodged the attacks while erecting a barrier of crystals but the attack went through and the shadows weren't affected by the virus like ability of the crystals.

'How am I supposed to fight them?' Mana questioned as she went for pure chakra attack and sent a chakra blast at the shadows

The shadows blocked the move instead of going through it, giving hope to Mana that she could escape safely.

'So they are made of pure energy and only pure energy negates the affect of their ability. I can fight them and kill them for daring to harm us.' Mana thought as her eyes were constantly flickering with light and she was being filled with confidence

Mana placed Naruto on the ground, "Naruto hide behind me and when possible provide assistance with pure chakra attacks."

Naruto nodded and retreated while Mana looked at her foes floating in front of her with a smile. Her hands and feet were covered in bright pink chakra as she exploded forth.

The ground was destroyed with her movement and she went for straight punch for the closest shadow as they seemed to be simple creatures.

As expected the shadow blocked the attack and was thrown back by the force of Mana's attack, and she followed with pushing further and punching with her left. This one connected to the face and destroyed its head.

Mana looked back and saw the other shadow attacking Naruto with its claws, which tore through his throat and he fell to the floor trying to stop the bleeding.

"NOOOOO" Mana screamed as she tried to help when the shadow held her leg and pulled her back towards it, followed with a claw to her heart.

'Am I going to just die like this?' Naruto thought as he looked at Mana's pained look

'They will be hurt and I have not achieved my dream yet. I need to just heal the damage but the thing is going to kill me before it happens.' Naruto thought as he had achieved a state of mind where time flowed slowly and he was seeing from above like an overseer

'What should I do? Is there any way to survive?' He questioned while looking for a way and finally he found his brain working right

'Big sis said pure chakra attack so if I release all the chakra that I saved for a month, it should affectively erase it.' Naruto thought with a smile even though this act was risky and could destroy his own body but to him it was the only path he could see.

The time returned to normal and Naruto commanded his body to activate the seal.

The world was filled with golden light as it poured out of Naruto's body, which caused the shadow to be killed instantly. This move wouldn't have been really dangerous to fighter of Level 3 but it was a weakness of these shadows so had to chance to even put up a struggle.

Naruto felt his body become heavy and fatigued that he blacked out. On the other hand Mana had just stood up from the ground as she had been blasted away by the force of chakra.

But she was not feeling good as she had almost caused Naruto's death while he had saved her life again.

'I can't let my pride take presence when Naruto's life in involved.' Mana vowed as she headed for Naruto when she saw him stand up and she felt fear like no other

'What's happening? What happened to Naruto?'

"Naruto are you okay?" Mana questioned cautiously but no response came as she saw the blood leaking from Naruto turn to pitch black and his eyes were like the abyss

He was trying to speak and from his expression it felt like it was a struggle. Naruto showed signs of suffocating and finally spoke, "Sleep"

Naruto seemed to have clutched the vestiges of the shadow and spoke those words in a dead tone that felt like it contained no life, and the shadow shuddered before disappearing.

Those words were not spoken to the fragment but the original and as he heard the words, he slipped into the state of partial death. The demon had been fighting Zabuza and would have won, if not for this attack.

Giovanni was saved and the demon had fallen into slumber under the forest, leaving both men and monsters in confusion.

"What just happened?" Zabuza questioned as he slumped down from the fatigue of fighting the demon along with his demonic puppets

"I don't know but it seemed like the demon heard something and disappeared." Giovanni responded from the ground where he had collapsed as the demon had pushed his body beyond its limit. He was just a Level 3 beginner stage but the demon had pushed him to Beginner stage of Level 4.

Zabuza heard the response and was intrigued, and more convinced that he needed the demon slayers on the job.

'She should be arriving soon.'
