Chapter 10
Mark's POV
Aaron is still here with me. Bob left two weeks ago because he had to get back to work.
I tried sleeping on my own, but that failed the very first night. As I closed my eyes I was rushed immediately into old nightmares. I guess I caused a commotion because the next thing I knew I was being held by Aaron. Aaron had been sleeping in my bed with me since then.
Over the majority of the month, Aaron has helped heal me back to health. He can't pick me up or move me towards him anymore. I can tell that he's disappointed by that. But it's also a disadvantage sometimes, especially when I'm having panic attacks. They're completely scattered and absolutely random. And they always leave me feeling scared and alone... always, but having Aaron nearby helps most of the time.
Aaron's right by my side each time it happens. In the middle of the night, he'll be wide awake and holding me close, waiting for me to stop shaking. Early in the morning, he'll place his cup of tea down and dash over to calm me down.
Usually I'll have ten or less attacks during the day. I'm glad I at lease get a break at night with only two to four attacks. But I feel like I'm starting to become a burden to Aaron. He's always helping me. He'd be in the middle of doing something then he'd drop everything and rush to my aid. It's like if I was about to get hit by a car, he'd press a button and switch places with me without a second thought. I mean I appreciate what he's doing. I just feel like he doesn't have to every time.
I woke up this morning to an empty bed. I instantly thought that he had gone back home. I was about to have a panic attack when I turned my head and saw a note on my nightstand. I grabbed the note.
Dear Mark,
I ran out of tea this morning so I'm going to go to the store real quick to buy some more. Be back soon.
Your Brit,
Yours Truly, (This is supposed to have a have a line through it :p)
Aaron
I let out a sigh of relief. I grabbed my glasses, putting them on as I start to get out of bed. I was only wearing my Markiplier pajama pants and I was feeling cold. So I put on my white hoodie.
I ventured my way towards the kitchen feeling like having an apple for breakfast. I grabbed an apple from the bag, washing it off at the sink. I take a bite from the apple before it falls to the ground. I begin to shake as I see an image of Dark smirking at me.
My back suddenly collides with the corner. I didn't even know that I moved. Nevertheless, I slid down and grabbing my knees. Where is Aaron at?
Aaron's POV
I was driving back from the store when I got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. Lucky I was just pulling into Mark's driveway. I grabbed the plastic bag and rushed to the door.
Everything seems fine when I open the door until I hear whimpering. Shit. I thought to myself. I closed the door as I dropped my bag, following the sound. I follow it towards the kitchen. I see an apple, that was bitten into, on the ground. I looked around the room before I spotted Mark hunched over in the corner holding his head. I could hear him mumbling quietly. "Where... Arr... At..."
"Ma'k?" I asked quietly. He moved closer towards the corner, his back facing me. "Ma'k, it's me, Aaron. I'm back from the store... Are... Are you alright?" I asked. I knew perfectly well that he wasn't alright but I did not want him to start panicking more, especially since he's stronger now. I knew it wouldn't be his fault, but he could possibly hurt me without knowing it.
I could see him shaking his head slightly, quietly muttering no over and over again. "I'm gonna come help you ok Ma'k? Would you like a hug?" I asked as I carefully stepped closer. He turned slightly as if to watch my every movement as I got closer.
Once I was about a foot away, I slowly reached my hand out to touch his shoulder. I yelped as he grabbed my hand and yanked me towards him, engulfing me in a tight hug. I could hear him breathing heavily.
I wonder what freaked him out this time. It had to of been a bad one since he's only been like this one other time. "Ma'k... do you want to tell me what set you off this time?" I asked quietly.
He remained quiet. I barely managed to pull him to his feet. I guided him towards his couch to sit down.
"It-it was Dark..." He said quietly once he had sunk into the deep cushions.
