I'm Glad It's Not A Dream

Hanamiya was not found anywhere, his team seemed to 'not know a thing' and said that Hanamiya kept coming to practice and everything like normal. Kuroko was doing fine. Midorima and Haizaki were the ones to come cheer him up, as odd as the duo looked trying to cheer up the young man. Aomine and Kagami often placed their ear to Kuroko's bare belly and waited for the baby to kick. Akashi called every night and day to make sure Kuroko was alright, sending Kagami new recipes to try. Seirin had come and to cheer the phantom up offered to throw a baby shower.

Kise came every day to spoil the blunette rotten since he knew exactly what he liked. Earning a great scolding from uncle Midorima, because of where Murasakibara and Himuro lived, it was hard to come see him but they would always keep in touch and were excited for the idea of the baby shower. Mitobe took it upon himself to teach Kuroko the best comfortable positions and exercises for a pregnant person, all with the great help of his translator Koganei who was so excited to be able to help.

At night, Kuroko no longer had nightmares, he couldn't remember how it had happened, all he saw was Hanamiya looking down at him and giving him a sick smile. He would cuddle with Kagami often, and seemed to be thinking most of the time. His doctor had advised to tell the authorities about Hanamiya right away but Kuroko refused to do that. Even though Kiyoharu should not listen to the boy's request, he and Kuroko's father had been best friends and Kuroko was almost like a son to him, so there was a personal attachment to the teenager, which made him stay quiet until the blunette decided to speak.

For now, Kuroko was just trying to understand what had made Hanamiya do and action like he had done, to rape him of all people. Did he want to break him? Was it because they won? No… Kuroko closed his eyes in deep thought. He remembered how Hanamiya began looking at him, getting closer to him, inviting him out to eat and such. It was truly something odd, but Kuroko didn't mind it. He didn't mind anything really. He opened his eyes looking at the ceiling, touching his belly lovingly.

"Don't worry, it's not your fault, it's not your fault," Kuroko whispered lovingly. It was almost as if the baby had heard him because he felt him move around a little. He almost wondered how he would look.

"Kuroko! I'm going to buy detergent, wanna come?" Kagami asked as he came from the laundry room. To be truthful, Kuroko was tired and his feet were hurting, so he shook his head. Kagami wasn't too happy to leave him alone but Kuroko liked his alone time as well.

"Don't worry Kagami-kun, I'll be alright, I promise," Kuroko smiled. Kagami neared the teenager and looked at him in the eyes.

"Are you sure?" Kuroko nodded once again, Kagami scratched the back of his head. His eyebrows furrowed in thought. Kuroko lifted his chin a little and kissed the tiger's cheek.

"I'll be fine," Kuroko smiled. Kagami blushed bright red. Murmuring something to himself and then going to the front door to put on his shoes.

"Fine the. You four legged beast! I leave you in charge of Kuroko!" Nigou perked up at his nickname and barked back. Kagami flinched. Thing seemed to be getting bigger… "I'm leaving!"

"Be careful Kagami-kun," Kuroko smiled and Kagami nodded, leaving the apartment. Kuroko sighed as the door closed. He wanted to take a nap, but he could wait, he wanted to wait for Kagami. Nigou came to sit by his side, as he rubbed his face against his belly, showing his excitement for the new member of the family. Nigou felt soft, Kuroko felt sleepy, he patted the husky's head before dozing off in the couch.

"Do you like that Kagami guy?" Kuroko stopped and stared at the other male. Adverting his gaze

"Kagami-kun, is… an amazing person," Kuroko answered. Hanamiya's eyes darkened. Kuroko's gaze always became softer when talking about the loud power forward of Seirin.

"Would you consider looking another way?" Kuroko looked up only to meet a face closer to his. His heart beating slightly faster, his eyes meeting with the others, Hanamiya kept their eyes locked before looking away. "Sometimes other people might do something bad to get to the one they like, maybe love," Kuroko was going to question Hanamiya by asking what he meant but, he left him standing there.

"I'm home!" For Kagami, it felt great to finally call out something when he arrived and getting an answer back, but instead he had gotten home to a sleeping Kuroko and the one who welcomed him back was Nigou by barking. Kagami walked towards the small blunette, his cheeks were pink. He didn't know if it was his natural blush or maybe his dream. Kagami leaned down a little closer, pecking his lips. "I'm sorry I haven't done anything for you yet Kuroko, I'm sorry," he closed his eyes shut, feeling as if he might start crying. He then felt a warm hand against his cheek.

"Kagami-kun… is crying?" Kuroko asked, almost sleepily.

"B- Baka! Of course I'm not crying!" laughed the taller male, his gaze softening as the blunette smiled.

"I had a dream where Kagami-kun kissed me," Kagami blushed, feeling guilty from stealing a kiss from the sleeping blunette.

"T- That wasn't a dream, sorry…." Kagami apologized. Kuroko almost giggled. Tracing his hand against Kagami's rough features.

"Ah, I'm glad then, that I'm not dreaming," Kuroko smiled and then slowly fell asleep again. Nigou bit the air, as if telling Kagami to go do something else because his master was sleeping. Kagami glared at the dog but retreated. Cupping Kuroko in his arm and letting him rest in the bed, leaving the door partially open.

Kagami began working on his laundry and such. Thinking of how strong Kuroko was, how determined he was to keep going, how he had decided to keep a baby who was product of something as dirty as rape and yet he loved that child dearly already. He chuckled to himself, he was still studying too, not staying behind on anything. His gaze hardened, everything would've been okay, everything…

"If only I had not chickened out that day…" Kagami gritted his teeth. "If only I had had the guts to finally asked him out, he wouldn't have walked alone, he wouldn't have had to suffer what he is suffering right now, even if he says he's happy…" Kagami sighed.

Maybe next chapter will finally show Kagami and Hanamiya? Who knows?
