chapter 9: The Impossible truth

Christine's POV

In KITT going back to the SSC...

"What's that thing? There on the dash bored!" Mitchy asked.

Mike went to answer but i cut him off, " he won't tell you! And don't believe him 'if'... he tells you it's a GPS." I said with a smug smile.

Mike sighed, " you girls really want to know?" He asked honestly.

"Yes!" Mitchy and I said at the exact same time!

"Ginx!" We both said.

"Stop it!"

No you stop it!"

"Grrrrrrr!"

"GIRLS!" Mike yelled, taking us out of our double talk.

We both laughed, " sorry" I said.

Mike sighed again, "tell them KITT!" He said.

"Wha?" Me and Mitchy said again at the same time.

"I am the knight Industries three thousand, but you can call me KITT" the car sated.

"OH MY GOD! I was right! The car can talk! That's awesome!" I said excitedly.

Mitchy looked horrified, " the... The... The car c...can... Can... T...talk?" She stuttered.

"Yes, and now that you both know..., Mitchy is it?" he asked, she nodded. " Can you come sit up here by Christine?" mike asked, Mitchy nodded again, and climbed over next to me.

"why dose she have to be in the front seat? No offense Mitchy, I'm just curious." I stated.

" because of this...,... KITT...?" Mike said mid sentence.

"Yes mike" was KITT's response.

"Attack mode!" Mike stated.

"Prepare for transformation" the car said, and with that, the whole car started to change.

"Transformation complete" KITT stated.

"AWESOME!" I yelled, looking around.

"S...so... T...the...c...car...c..can... T...talk? And...I...it ...c...can ... c...change form! O...k...ok!" Mitchy continued to stutter.

"Mitchy, use your words!" I laughed.

She sighed, "n...now what do we do?" She asked calmer.

I thought a minute, " I don't know! Mike?" I asked.

"We are going back to the SSC, and we are decrypting that flash-drive!" He answered.

Mitchy laughed, " you don't need to decrypt it..., I can just tell you!" Mitchy stated.

"Yea! It is her flash-drive!" I said.

"What's on it?" Mike asked.

"Well...," Mitchy paused, " it's information on the earth itself, and space, and other stuff like that!" She said.

"Earth and space?" Mike asked confused.

"Yea! My parents are scientists! That's how me and CC here met. She met my parents at a science convention for earth, space sciences! You know... Like Astronomy? anyway...my parents liked her, introduced me to her, and we've been friends ever since!" Mitchy said, then took a deep breath.

"Astronomy? Earth, space science? What would someone want with that?" He asked more to himself.

"I don't know! But it's defiantly worth killing someone over!" I stated.

We all stayed silent till we reached the SSC, KITT transformed back into a notmal mustang, and after the tunnels, we were back.

Mike got out first, I was second, and Mitchy was third.

She looked dazed, "wooooooow!" She sighed.

I chuckled, " this is the SSC Mitchy! Whatcha think?" I asked sarcastically.

"Hua?" She asked coming back to reality.

"NVN!" I laughed.

Sarah walked up to me and Mitchy, " I'm glad we found your friend, but we can't decrypt the flash-drive!" She stated.

"You don't have to!" Mitchy said walking toward the computers. "Ummm... CC?" She asked.

"Yea?" I answered walking up behind her.

"How do you use this?" She said pointing to the computer.

I burst out laughing, and billy looked at Mitchy horrified

"that's not nice! I need help!" She grumbled.

"I'm... Sorry...I...thought... You were... Kidding!

You... Do... Know... How... To...use a...computer! ... Right?" I asked in between laughs.

"I'M SERIOUS!" She yelled, crossing her arms, I slowly stopped laughing.

"S...sorry! I thought you were kidding!" I frowned.

"Just help!" She said.

"Fine!" I said as I sat down in one of the chairs, "where's the flash-drive?" I asked.

"Here!" Sarah handed it to me.

"Thanks!" I told Sara, then asked, Mitchy?" I turned to her, "I need the codes! You know them right?" I asked, she shook her head 'no',

" I don't know the codes, but I do know what's on it!" She stated.

"That won't help!" I said rather coldly, as I began hacking the flash-drive. Billy watched in amazement and awe, as I hacked through the flash- drives firewalls.

10 minutes later...

"I GOT IT! I GOT IT!" I yelled, " it has something to do with the earths gravitational pull, and... Universal codes!" I stated with a weird face, thinking.

"But that makes no sense!" Mike said.

I rolled the chair to the other side of the room, and just sat there pondering on the possibilities it could mean!

"What's she doing?" Mike asked.

"Thinking! It's best not to bother her when she's like that!" Mitchy informed everyone with a chuckle.

They all went on with what they were doing, I ,...on the other hand, was in my own little world. I talked to myself, " if it has something to do with the gravitational pull or force, of earth, and space alone, and Universal codes... Then?" I thought over and over the possibilities. About an hour or so later the answer that hit me, was a horrible realization!

" I KNOW! I KNOW!OH GOD! OH GOD NO!" I screamed out randomly, running my Hands through my long blond hair!

They all looked at me, " WHAT?" They said at the same time!

I gasped, tears rolling down my face,

" NONONONONONONO!" I yelled, " THEY CAN'T, THEY CAN'T! THEY JUST CAN'T!" I panicked, Mitchy walked over and grabbed me, and started shaking me.

"GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF CC! CHILL OUT!" She coaxed.

"I... I..." I sobbed, I couldn't speak, it was to awful.

She slapped me across the face, " STOP IT!" She yelled, and I stopped moving and took a deep breath, and fell on the floor. I was on my hands and knees looking down at the floor.

"Good! Now please tell us all!" She said quietly, but loud enough for everyone to hear, siting down next to me.

"There... There going... There going to..." I stuttered, looking up at everyone.

"Spit it out girl!" Mitch said.

"There going to use the universal, gravitational codes! What your parents had discovered,... To end or possibly take over the world! To somehow dis engage the gravitational pull of the solar system on earth. Without the gravitational force,...The earth would fall endlessly through space, the pressure it would create on the earths atmosphere would make it impossible for life to exist!" I gasped for breath.

Everyone in the room gasped too.
