Chapter 10: Battle! Nix and Tabuu part 1: Tabuu and Rage
[Somewhere on Dark Mobius Local time: 1:30 PM]
The last group was sitting in a field resting for the upcoming battle… "Hay Mario do you think it's possible Tabuu is back?" Rage asks
"Could be." The plumber answers "If-a what you told me about-a Nix is true then it is possible."
"I was afraid of that." Rage sighs
"Why?" Shade asks
"If Tabuu returns Nix will take Tabuu's power adding to his own making him even worse." Rage answers before standing back up "We don't have any more time to waste come on." He says running off with Shade the first to follow.
"I don't like this." Zelda says before something grabs her and she screams.
"Zelda!" Mario yells before a shadow hand grabs him to and he disappears.
"What is going on?" Riku asks before he, Sora and Meta Knight were grabbed too.
"Help us!" Sora was able to yell before they too vanished.
"What do we do?" Ike asks slicing one but then two grab him as well. "Ack!" was all he could say by the time he was gone.
"Looks like it's you and me Shade." Rage says looking around as his Blade of Chaos appears in his hand. The two look around cautiously before a hand appears in front of Sahde but she leaps into the air behind the hand and bites it hard.
"Rage!" she says with the hand in her mouth "Now!"
"Got it!" he says focusing his energy "Holy Chaos Tech 6: Shadow Splicer!" he says as a blast of light energy appears from the ground where the hand was and a large beast comes out of it. It was a a large four legged beast, on its head was three horns, its feet were long talon like claws. Wings of a bat or dragon design, a long tail of spikes and a big level of dark power.
"What is this thing?" Shade yells
"It's an Ultra Dark Spawn!" Rage says shocked by its power level "I haven't seen one of this type in years! It's a Shadow Dragon!" Rage then readies to attack but Shade stops him
"I will handle this Rage, you save your energy you might need it for when we kill Nix." The dragon says and Rage smiles
"Alright be careful." Rage replies
"I will." Shade says before returning her gaze to the beast
[Fortress of Nix the Dark Local time: 2:55 PM]
All of the smashers woke up to find themselves bound by chains radiating with dark energy. "Wait I knot these things…" Christain says
"Well tell us what in the name of Atlea they are then Christain!" Mart yells struggling
"They are-" Christain was then but off by another voice
"The Chains of Darkness…" it chuckles as Nix walks in
"Nix…" Christain growls "You'll never get away with this!"
"Oh yeah who's going to stop me?" Nix smiles
"Just you wait Rage will stop you!" Sora says
"Rage?" Nix smirks "That red brat as if!"
"Sora's right Nix! Rage is on his way here right now and when he gets here he is going to kick your ass!" Christain says
"Fine…" Nix says "Tabuu?" he calls and soon a blue figure appears by his side
"Yes Nix?" he asks as all of the veteran fighters look in shock at the sight
"Go find Rage… and make sure he is killed." Nix says
"As you wish." Tabuu says
"That was…" Zelda sarts
"Tabuu…" Fox finishes
"Rage is done for." Sonic says "Tabuu is way too powerful!"
"We have to get out of here!" Captain Falcon says struggling
"It's no use The Chains of Darkness are unbreakable." Nix says "only pure light can disrupt them."
[With Shade and Rage]
Shade had been battling the large beast and the two were exchanging blows but this time Shade surprises the monster with a blast of fire from her mouth as she flies into the air. The monster then hits her hard and she slams into the ground exhausted from the fight. "Drat…" she huffs
"Shade!" Rage yells and she looks up to see a green energy orb coming at her full speed as it hit her she felt her wounds heal and energy restore. "That should fix you up!" he calls
"Thanks!" she calls back before leaping into the air and hitting the large beast with fire as Rage watches carefully soon he sees a spot where the creature had lost some scales in its stomach.
"Shade there is a place on his stomach where he has no scales aim for that spot!" Rage yells to her and she nods signaling she understood.
"Alright you monster prepare to die!" she yells flying into the air and making it get up on its' hind legs. Shade then dives full force at the large beast's weak spot Rage pointed out. Then with a sash she drug her claws into it and the beast stops, roars then vanishes. Shade lands and Rage gives her a high five as the two move on. Soon Rage turns and quickly blocks an incoming whip. The two then look to see Tabuu holding it. "Is that?" Shade asks
"Tabuu." Rage growls "What are you doing here?"
"I have orders to kill you Rage Chaotic." He replies
"Too bad not going to happen." Rage says gripping his sword tightly ready for a fight. "I will handle this Shade you find someplace safe until I am done here okay?"
"Are you sure Rage?" Shade asks
"Yeah." Rage answers "If I die against him it will be up to you to save the others and defeat Nix."
"O-okay." Shade says running into some bushes.
"Alright Tabuu let's do this!" Rage grunts
{Music: V.S. Tabuu~Super Smash Bros Brawl}
"As you wish" the blue man says as he spawns his wings. Tabuu flies some into the air before Rage reaches him and slices his wings to bits. Tabuu then claws at the red hedgehog with energy sending him into the ground making a large crater with dust covering it. Tabuu then fires a laser from a black dragon like mouth into the crater as he laughs. This threw even more dust up to finish it off he attacked Rage with the dreaded three ring attack.
In the nearby bushes Shade was watching her eyes were wide in shock and horror "No…" she says "Please don't be dead Rage."
"Pitiful young hedgehog." Tabuu scoffs "You had no chance." He then turns to leave but…
"I'm not done with you yet!" Rage's voice echoes as he flies up and smashes Tabuu into the ground before falling down himself. Tabuu enraged looked at the red hedgehog to see his blood was slowly moving to his arm and solidifying into a sharp curved blade. His fur had turned to a dark red and his eyes were amber "I am not going to die that easily." He says in a now much more scratchy voice.
"Y-you're alive?!" Tabuu asks shocked "How could you survive that?!"
"You underestimate the power of a Chaos Guardian…" Rage smirks as he dashes into Tabuu and stabs him right to his core. "heh"
"Y-you're not Rage." Tabuu says "Wh-who are you?"
"Oh?" Rage laughs "I am not Rage?" the dark red hedgehog smiles "I am Rage…just another version of him… I am his Anti" the hedgehog laughs "You see I can't have him dying on me now… Bureinjingukaosu just wouldn't like that."
"Grrr I am still going to kill you!" Tabuu growls warping away and firing small energy shots at Anit Rage but he uses his solidified blood to make a shield blocking the attack then he forms the shield into a claw and he dashes at Tabuu at a faster pace than he had ever seen Rage move. Before the blue entity knew what was going on he felt a surge of pain and a claw had grabbed his core…
"N-no…" Tabuu coughs as Anti Rage laughs sinisterly pulling the core out of the blue translucent body. However as he held the core in his hand…
"N-no!" Rage's normal voice comes from nowhere
"Wh-what are you doing? Anti Rage asks "I almost have him!"
"I-I won't let it happen this way!" Rage says
"No! You fool!" Anti Rage yells as he rips all of the solidified blood off of him and he drops Tabuu's core
"Sorry about that interruption…" Rage smirks as he raises his foot over the core of his foe "Either way, me or him this is the end for you Tabuu." He says as he stomps the core of the man and he screams in pain. Then all of the energy released quickly flows in one direction and Rage watches it as Shade walks out of the bush.
"Is that a good thing?" she asks
"No…" Rage says "We need to move NOW!" he yells as he takes off with a Sonic Boom following him shortly after to follow where the energy was heading. Shade flies as fast as she could to keep up with the red hedgehog. Soon they leave the forest, ran/flew over an ocean, across some mounatains to arrive at a city of large skyscrapers and neon lights. It was dark and the moon made it look sinister. On a hill within lied a large fortress…Nix's Fortress…
"Wh-where are we?" Shade pants
"Nix's Fortress within the Dark City…" Rage says "I should have figured Nix would take Tabuu's power the minute I killed him."
"Are the others in there?" Shade asks and the red hedgehog nods
"This is the place… the final battle awaits us Shade… are you ready?" Rage asks the small nightfury dragon.
"Yeah…" she soon says as the two look at the fortress once again.
