The Gathering (Episode 10 or Chapter 10)

Narrator: This is it. The episode we've been waiting for. The episode where all of Ash's travel companions and friends/rivals, he'd ever made since he started his journey, come together in one place at the same time. Will things go just right? Or will it be a complete disaster for everyone involved? Well, the only thing left to do is TO GO ON WITH THE EPISODE!
Ash: Alright Pikachu, Volt Tackle one more time!
Pikachu performs the attack on a nearby icy boulder, not too far from the Viridian City Pokémon Centre.
Ash: Alright Pikachu, that was awesome!
Brock: Ash? What are you doing here so early in the morning? *coming out of the Centre with a hot cup of coco in his hands*
Ash: *turns to Brock* Oh just practicing, that's all.
Brock: What for?
Ash: Well, remember how I wanted to re-challenge you for the gym badge properly, before all of this happened?
Brock: *a little surprised* So you still want to challenge Misty?
Ash: Well, yea, since she is still the gym leader in Cerulean City, and all.
Brock: I don't know Ash.
Ash: Why?
Brock: *taking a sip from his cup* Well, for one thing, she has no idea that you've been here under her nose the whole time, while she's been thinking that you're still on your journey.
Ash: *a little backfired* Oh, I completely forgot about that.
Brock: Yea, knowing her, she's not gonna take it lightly, when you challenge her out of the blue like that.
Ash: *swallowing a lump in his throat* You know Brock, I've faced a lot of scary things in my journey, but Misty will always be the scariest one of them all.
Brock broke into laughter.
Ash: *smiling with Brock* It's true though
Brock: *recovering from his laughter* like the times when she screamed when she saw a bug Pokémon.
Ash: *starting to laugh with Brock* Yea, that scream can even scare away an Ursaring!
Brock: *laughing harder*
Ash: *now really laughing* Like those times when she kept pulling your ear, every time you talked to a pretty girl. Classic.
Brock: *recovering from laughter* Uh, yea, but that hurt though! And thanks to her, I've almost +never got a break from that. Pokémon or person.
Ash: *also recovering from laughter* Yea, but you gotta admit, it kept things interesting.
Brock: Yea, I guess. *looking down at his cup and noticed it was completely empty, even though it was filled a minute ago.*
Brock: Uh, what happened to my coco?
Ash: I think you must have spilled it, when you were laughing.
Both Ash and Brock look down to see that the coco was spilled on the white snow below them, being licked by Pikachu.
Ash: Um, Brock, I think that Pikachu likes your coco.
Brock: I guess. Alright Ash, I'm gonna go back inside to get some more, and you should get inside before you catch a cold.
Ash: Yea let's go, c'mon Pikachu.
When Ash, Brock and Pikachu came back inside the Centre, they notice that Nurse Joy came out to the front of the centre.
Ash: Uh, Brock? *looking around for him*
But he noticed that Brock was already being his old self to Nurse Joy.
Ash: *shaking his head* Some things just never change.
Pikachu: Pika. *agree with Ash*
Ash: Pikachu, would you? *pointing towards Brock*
Pikachu came up to Brock and shocked him, just a little. Causing Brock to fall over all burned up.
Ash: Sorry about that Nurse Joy. *coming up to her*
Nurse Joy: Oh hey Ash! Long time, how are you?
Ash: Oh, fine.
Nurse Joy: So you're going to Professor Oak's Christmas Party?
Ash: *a little surprised* How'd you know?
Nurse Joy: It's just a big rumour going around that's all.
Ash: Nurse Joy, I'd really appreciate that you didn't tell anyone that I was here, I want it to be a surprise to everyone.
Nurse Joy: *smiling sweetly* Oh sure, no problem!
Forrest: Oh you guys are awake? *coming towards them all ready to go*
Brock: Good idea Forrest, I think if we leave now, we can stop by your house Ash, until the party starts.
Ash: Which is tomorrow right?
Brock: Yup, so let's go. Bye Nurse Joy, I'll never forget your pretty smell, your…..
Pikachu shocks him, and Nurse Joy giggles.
Narrator: As Ash and Forrest take the fried Brock away and out of site of the Pokémon Centre, it didn't take long for Misty and her sisters to arrive at that very same Centre that same evening.
Daisy: Alright gang, were here. *hopping off her car after parking it nearby*
Misty: Huh, Viridian didn't change much. Since the last time I was here.*also getting off the car*
Lilly: Not really, they added an airport not too far away from here.
Misty: Oh, I didn't know that.
Violet: Yea it's true, and it's huge!
Daisy: Alright guys let's go inside and get some warm coco!
Misty: Good idea, it's really getting cold now *holding herself from the cold*
Suddenly Psyduck came out of it's Pokéball, but it took at least a full minute for Psyduck to realize it was standing on cold snow.
Psyduck: Psy ya yay! *and runs the opposite direction of the Pokémon Centre*
Misty: Where are you going you dumb duck!?
Daisy: Uh, Misty?
Misty: *sighing* I'll be back at the centre once I get Psyduck back, I'll see you later.
Daisy: Alright, c'mon girls let's get inside.
As the sisters go inside, Misty was getting really annoyed.
Misty: Oh why didn't I leave you at the gym?! *and runs after Psyduck*
Suddenly the calm winter weather they had for a while suddenly broke out a mild snow storm.
Misty: Oh, now how am I supposed to find Psyduck? Psyduck! *hoping she'd get some response.*
The snow storm wasn't harsh, but became really thick really fast. But when Misty looked to her side at the left, she sees two figures coming towards her through the oncoming snow storm.
Misty: Psyduck?
Familiar boy's voice: Wow, it got thick fast
Misty gripped one of her Pokéballs just to feel safe.
Familiar girl's voice: Ugh, I can't see anything!
Misty: Wait a minute I know that voice.
As the two figures slowly approached Misty, she started to make out one of the figures, until they came fully into view.
Misty: No way!? May?
May: Whose there? *sees Misty in full view* What! No way! Misty?!
The two girls came together for a hug.
Misty: Oh my gosh May, it's been a long time!
May: You're more impressive than the last time I saw you!
Misty looks to May's side and wasn't sure who that boy was.
Misty: May, who's this?
May: Oh, this is Drew, he's…
Drew: *interrupting May* Yea, hi. Can we skip the pleasantries, cause I'd really like to get out of this storm.
Misty: Good call. You guys go towards the Pokémon Centre, I have to find Psyduck.
May: Psyduck? Why?
Misty: He was just being himself coming out of it's ball being a goofball.
Drew: Um, Misty, I think that's it. *Pointing to a still silhouette of a duck in the distance through the storm.*
Misty: Psyduck? *runs up to the silhouette and was shocked at what she saw.* Oh my gosh! He's frozen!
May: Call him back just to make sure that's your duck! *running behind Misty*
Misty: Psyduck return! *Misty tried to bring Psyduck back but it didn't quite work since it's frozen solid*
Misty: Oh great.
May: Did it work? *now right beside Misty*
Misty: Kinda, but he's frozen solid.
Drew: Here. *takes out an extra sweater from his bag and wraps it around Psyduck.*
Misty: Thanks Drew.
Drew: No problem, I'll carry it to the centre, but you lead the way.
Misty: Alright, guys stay close!
It took over an hour to get back to the Centre through the now roughening snow storm, but when the three of them came inside the Centre, Misty ran towards Nurse Joy, along with the other two.
Misty: Nurse Joy! Please help!
Nurse Joy: *coming to the counter, from the back room* Yes? Oh hi Misty!
Misty: Nurse Joy, please, I need your help to save Psyduck!
Nurse Joy: *noticing the frozen duck in Drew's arms* Oh dear! Chansey bring a stroller!
A Chansey came up to them with a stroller, which Drew put Psyduck on. Immediately Chansey rushed it to the operation room.
Nurse Joy: Please be patient Misty, I'll try my best. *and goes after Chansey, while the operation door closes behind her.*
Misty: Psyduck...
May: Um Misty, do you mind if I ask you something?
Misty: *turning to May a little surprised* Oh, sure go ahead.
May: Well, since you're a Gym Leader and all, why do you have a Pokémon like Psyduck?
Drew: *now it was his turn to be surprised* Wait, you're a Gym Leader?
Misty: Yes Drew I am, and May, Psyduck is more like a goofy family member that I always look after, but not for Gym Battles.
May: Oh.
Drew: Wait May, how did you meet Misty?
May: Oh, I met her through Ash.
Drew: Ash?
Misty: Yea, me and Ash go way back. Actually I met him the very same day he started his Pokémon journey.
May: WOW! How come I never knew that!?
Misty: I guess he never told you that?
May: Uh, no he didn't! *suddenly having a thought* So you two are pretty close then, right?
Misty: I would say were good friends May.
May: *now teasing Misty * Oh so you don't like him at all, in a boyfriend kind of way?
Misty: *getting annoyed* Of course not! *cheeks flaming*
May: Awe, but you're blushing!
Drew: May, cool it.
May: *turning towards Drew and blushing* Sorry Drew.
Misty: *a little impressed with Drew.* You know May, I could say the same thing about you.
May: *a little surprised* What do you mean?
Misty: The fact that you can't look at a specific boy in the room without blushing.
May: Hey! Me and Drew are just good friends, and rivals.
Drew: *a little hurt and turning towards the upstairs area of the Centre* I'll see you later May, good night. Misty. *goes upstairs*
Misty: My point exactly.
May: *a little angry* You know what Misty; I do like him, so what? At least I can admit that to myself. *and runs after Drew.*
Misty: *a little stunned* Huh, maybe she's right. Why can't I admit it for Ash?
Bing!
Nurse Joy comes out of the operation room.
Misty: Nurse Joy! How's Psyduck?
Nurse Joy: Oh he'll be fine. He's in the recovery room, by tomorrow he'll be brand new.
Misty: Oh thank goodness.
Nurse Joy: *looking around the room* Where did you're other two friends go?
Misty: Oh, they went upstairs for the night. *with fake honesty*
Nurse Joy: *looking at Misty a little suspiciously* Are you sure nothing happened here Misty?
Misty: Well, *sighing* I got in to an argument with May, which hurt Drew. And after he went upstairs, it just got a little tense here.
Nurse Joy: Oh, what was the argument about?
Misty: *looking away* Nothing, just something silly.
Nurse Joy: Let me guess, it was about boys right?
Misty: Not exactly, it was more admitting our feelings about them.
Nurse Joy: Oh.
Misty: Nurse Joy, if you don't mind, I think I should get some sleep too.
Nurse Joy: Oh sure, but try not to bother your sisters okay?
Misty: I won't Nurse Joy, good night.
Nurse Joy: Good night Misty!
As Misty goes up to her room, half an hour later, three of our other heroes enter that very same Centre.
Nurse Joy: My, isn't the centre popular today!
Dawn's mom: You two wait here while I go and see if there are any spots left at the rooms.
Dawn: Alright mom.
As her mom goes away from ear length, she speaks up to Paul.
Dawn: You know Paul, the whole ride from Sinnoh to Kanto you haven't said anything.
Paul: What do you expect me to say?
Dawn: *frustrated* I don't know! Something is better than nothing!
Paul: Well, sorry for being such a bore. *remarking sarcastically*
Dawn: Ugh! *clearly frustrated now* Would it kill you to be nice for once!? And besides it's Christmas, you're supposed to be nice.
Paul: Yea well, Christmas isn't my favourite holiday.
Dawn: Now I know why.
Paul: *getting annoyed himself* What is that supposed to mean?
Dawn: You figure it out. *and walks away to join her mother with Nurse Joy*
Paul: *smiles to himself* You just wait and see Dawn. Wait and see.*and walks upstairs to go to sleep*
Dawn's mom: *noticing Paul* He must have jet lag.
Dawn: Yea, something like that. *still annoyed*
Dawn's mom raising her eyebrows at Dawn, but Dawn shakes her head at her mother, like it's nothing.
Nurse Joy: Alright I think we have a room left, is that okay?
Dawn's mom: Yes that's great thank you.
As Dawn and her mother go upstairs and into their room, just before Dawn went in after her mother, she notices that someone came out of the bathroom, down the hall.
Dawn: Misty?
Misty: *a little startled* Dawn? What are you doing all the way here?
Dawn: I got invited to a Christmas Party at Pallet Town.
Misty: Same here.
Dawn: Oh.
Suddenly as things didn't need to be more awkward, May opens her door from her room.
May: Uh, what's going on here?
She notices Dawn.
May: Dawn?! What are you doing here?
Dawn: What? I don't even get a "hi"?
May: Sorry. Hi! But, what are you doing here?
Dawn: I got invited to a Christmas Party by Professor Oak.
May: Oh you too?
Dawn: Looks like were going together! *happily*
May: You could say that. *giving a look to Misty* Goodnight Dawn. Misty. *and closes the door behind her.*
Dawn: What's that about? *asking Misty*
Misty: Oh its nothing. Good night Dawn see you tomorrow.
Dawn: Yea see ya tomorrow Misty! *whispering loudly*
Narrator: Well, as mixed emotions are being shared among the girls, we know that if Misty and May don't make up before the party, then things will only get worse. Yet your probably wondering, what would happen if all the boys would meet? What would happen if everybody would meet up with Forrest, Brock, Pikachu and Ash? Well, we could only hope that it will turn out a little better than with the girls. Until next time, see you later!
