Tsuna-sensei!
A/N: Belated merry christmas and happy new year to all my readers! Hehe, this is extra longer for you and for being away for such a long time. Your reviews, alerts and favorites make me smile, alright. I love you guys!
This is a challenge from JackFrost14 from the forum :)
Tsuna's amber eyes were half-lidded as he rested his back on the reclining chair of the bus and continued to half-listen to both the silent murmurs and the loud conversations of his students who were also in the bus.
Tsuna blinked twice as he regained his focus and shook his head to eliminate any sleepiness in his form. He craned his neck to the side, observed the view of the green, lush meadows and redbrick tiles and then he decided that it was proper to speculate that they were nearing the destination.
The museum, to be exact.
Well, not too exact, considering that he, himself, wasn't too sure what the name of the museum was, but in any case.
He returned back to resting on his chair and waited a few minutes before the bus started to slow down on its tracks and eventually halted in front of a huge Parisian style building which had a huge gray slab of rock with the words carved into it, "The Museum".
Tsuna managed to compose himself and prevented his jaw from dropping at the very unique name of the museum. Not to mention, how was such a foreign building built on the Japanese terrains?
As he shook his head and decided not to bother with whatever creativity the museum's owner may have. He stood up from his seat, gave the bus' driver a small smile of gratefulness, and then turned around to face his students as he announced, "We have finally reached our first destination, 'The Museum'."
There were the occasional little murmurs before a girl with a ponytails asked, "The museum? What's the name of this museum, sensei?"
The brunette tried his hardest not to heave a sigh before he answered, "'The Museum.'"
"...huh?" Majority of the students who boarded the bus had their jaws dropped at the answer as they looked on at their teacher with confusion painfully obvious in their faces.
"I understand that you guys think that the name of the destination seems unfitting for it place, what with calling a museum 'The Museum', but I'm pretty sure that we can clarify it over once we enter the museum and talked with its curator." Tsuna informed with a thin line on his lips as he looked on at his students.
"Oh."
"Sure."
"Honestly?"
There were different reactions but Tsuna did his best not to dwell on it but instead motion to the students as he ordered, "Well then, start filing out of the bus. I'll be the last one to exit and meet you all up outside of the museum."
A small, heterochromatic boy smirked as he asked, "'The Museum' or the museum?"
"Whatever you want to call it." Tsuna answered as he kept himself from giving a groan. He looked onto the others and said, "Start filing out, then."
Sounds of agreement were heard and one by one, the students filed out of the bus. Some were quiet as they passed by their teacher, some were blushing while they passed by their beloved Sawada-sensei, and some others were loudly cracking jokes to each other as they filed out.
As soon as the bus was emptied and the students have all left, Tsuna began to exit the bus as well, but not before he gave the driver a small smile and said, "Thank you."
Oh, the driver then used the entire time everyone else was out to consider his sexual preference.
Tsuna counted all thirty-five of his students and then proceeded to remind them, "Before the museum's curator arrives, I'll remind everyone to be in their best behavior, is that clear?"
Some of the students gave blushing murmurs of agreement while some were quiet and seemed dysfunctional but nevertheless, nodded their heads. Some were cheering their agreements on while others were a little weaker on voicing their agreement because Tsuna was subconsciously on his Boss Mode. Nevertheless, everyone immediately agreed.
Tsuna was about to wonder out loud about the museum when a familiar voice and figure stopped him. And made him gape, for once.
The students of his class stopped on whatever they were doing, too. The girls who were remarking on each other quieted down and the boys who were talking about one thing or another stopped as their voices died down.
"It's good to see all of you again."
It all seemed slow-motion for the brunette, like the last time a gun passed by him and he intercepted the shot with the help of his hyper dying will mode. He blinked once before he shook his head and looked at the source of the voice again and was surprised when he saw...
...Uni.
The teenage arcobaleno was wearing her usual, sea urchin look-a-like of a hat and a flowing white dress that reached below her knees. Her dark green hair bounced as she took a step closer to them and the smile on her face could not be any brighter.
Tsuna's intuition went into hyperdrive once more and then he mentally concluded that, yes, this person really is Uni, the same person who attended one of his class a few weeks ago.
And right now, she's here in Japan.
Again.
"Uni?" The charismatic young boss called out as he tried to test his conclusion.
Uni, for her part, gave a small chuckle before she tilted her head to the side and countered, "I didn't know that you'll forget me, Sawada-san."
There was thick, silence that blanketed all of them.
It was so thick that a knife could tore over it but before anyone else could react, Uni sent another small chuckle and waved her hand, "That was a joke."
"What..?"
"Woah, Uni-chan!"
"She looks as gorgeous as ever!"
"Oh my, what a cute hat."
"Wow!"
Then and there, a flood of comments ensued and were voiced out. Both Tsuna and Uni waited for a few minutes for the excited chatters to die down for a bit before they went down to business.
Uni started by sending a smile to the students of the Vongola's class and she gave a small bow, "Thank you for the hospitality that you have shown both Fran and I last time. It's nice to see everyone again."
The students couldn't help but wonder how they survived the intensity of being in front of both their charismatic teacher and the adorable former transfer student. Meanwhile, the other members of the class, especially the founder of the 'Exchange Students Fans Club', were already spreading the word of the good news that Uni was in Japan.
"It's," Tsuna paused as he choose an appropriate word and he continued on, "surprising that you're here again in Japan, Uni. Is there anything...?"
"Oh," Uni almost seemed disconcerted before she gave a small giggle and she said, "I forgot to say it but I am one of the curators of the museum at the moment."
While others were now speaking among themselves, the brunet paused for a while before he looked at Uni and asked, "...what?"
"Haha," Uni gave another one of her small chuckles before she nodded her head and gestured her hand as she began to explain, "The real curator of this museum is a friend of my family and since I am on break from school in Italy, he supposed that I can try to oversee the management of this place for a while."
She tilted her head to the side in the most innocent way possible as she said, "But I never expected that I would see you guys here."
Tsuna almost choked on whatever he can choke on as he subconsciously rolled his eyes. He mentally snorted in his head... As if.
"Well, anyway," Uni moved on to another topic before anyone else can further comment and she informed everyone, "I will try to orientate everyone before we can begin the tour."
She looked everyone in the eye with a sharp gaze momentarily as she corrected herself, "Forget about the former statement. I meant to say that I would orientate everyone properly, understand?"
Tsuna looked at Uni appraisingly with a small proud smile as he mentally clapped at the steeliness of the young mafia princess. She has grown a lot. Not to mention that she seemingly possessed a sharp interior despite her warm exterior.
The class, for their part, only seemed to be stricken into shock as they looked at the transfer student and the sharpness in her tone before they all gave weak smiles as they voice their agreements, trying their best not to show their sudden fear, "Y-yeah."
"That's nice, then." Uni smiled a smile worth thousand carats as she looked at everyone and everyone, except those strong-willed enough, blushed at the sight and felt warm, fuzzy feelings inside of them.
For some reason, there was the little thought in the students' heads that were thinking if all the Italian visitors had these charming veins inside of their bodies.
She gave them another warm look before she motioned to everyone and said, "Well, let's enter, then?"
Tsuna wasn't surprise. Not at all.
There wasn't anything surprising about the fact that the whole lobby, which had seven pathways branching out from it, had the same vibe as his mansion.
Or any other renowned and remarkable mafia family's mansion, in any case.
He contained a groan as he let his eyes wander and saw the distinct similarities between the chandeliers in the ceiling of the lobbies and the ones in his mansion. The classic design of the walls that kept them also had a flair of the mafia. Not to mention that the floors are hard and marble and Tsuna couldn't help but take careful caution as he walked on it.
Better safe than anything else.
"So," Uni's gentle voice rang through the entire lobby as soon as she noticed that everyone has already settled in. She paused as she garnered her attention and kept silent for a minute before she continued on and said, "this museum, 'The Museum' is the property of Signore Teo, a well-known connoisseur of different arts in Italy."
Tsuna had to look on for a brief moment and was a little unnerved that he doesn't seem to recognize the name. His intuition spiked a little bit but decided that he would just raise a question in private later on.
After all, hell hath no wrath worse than a Sky Trinessete angered.
"What kind of name for a museum is 'The Museum', anyway?" A girl with straight red hair and matching eyes lazily asked as she casually rested her shoulder on the wall.
There was silence before Uni laughed. Loudly in that gentle voice of hers. When she stopped laughing and everyone looked on at her in shock for what would be numerous times that day, she shook her head and smiled, "I agree with you, I also found the name a little nonsensical, but, theirs a deeper reason for that besides for whatever humorous inside jokes the owner might have."
"Hm?" Tsuna himself had stood up and went to casually rest his shoulders in a nearby pillar, his eyes half-lidded as he looked at the Sky Arcobaleno.
"What's a better name to call a museum but it's name?" Uni looked at everyone with a small whimsical smile as she asked the question.
When everyone voiced out their opinion and silence reigned once again, she tilted her head to the side and said, "Nothing. After all, after time would past, everyone else would forget the name of the museum but remember the place. If the name of the place is the museum, which is exactly what it is, then what better name to give the place, right?"
She paused and looked dreamily at everyone with beaming eyes as she said, "Isn't there anything more eternal and romantic than that?"
Silence.
"Oh," Tsuna coughed as he broke the silence which seemed to have been for hours and decades. He looked Uni in the eye before he commented, "That was... Surprisingly deep."
"Isn't it?" Uni said with a short laugh. She looked at everyone with a small crinkle in her eyes and she added, "It's actually romantic, too."
There were a few moments of reflection before she looked at the people and said, "Are there any other questions? We only have room for two more before we officially start the tour of the museum."
A blue-eyed male in the class looked at her and smiled, "'The Museum' or the museum?"
"Honestly?" Uni looked him in the eye which caused him to blush and look down. There was a few seconds of silent contemplation on her part before she slowly asked, "Is that going to be your second question?"
There were shouts of disagreement and Uni just nodded. She looked at the others and one of the more timid girls spoke up and said, "Well, I wonder what type of architecture the building is? Or something like that."
"Nice question," Uni said as she shot a carefree smile at the girl's direction. As she looked blankly somewhere for a while, she answered, "The architecture's a mix of France and Italy, as well as every bit of top-class art all around the world. After all, I had said that Signore Teo is a connoisseur."
There were waves of 'oohs' and 'aahs' and everyone but the two mafiosi looked at the intricate designs of the place. It was definitely something that was usual in Japan, if anything.
"We're on our last question, then." Uni announced as she looked at Tsuna in the eye with a slight mischievous gleam in her eyes and she asked, "How about a question from you, Sawada-san?"
Oh Uni.
Tsuna was surprised that Uni would actually put him on the spot like that but then again Uni had been spending some time with Fran and Lambo, it was bound to happen. Not to mention that she deals with Bluebell, Daisy, Zakuro and Byakuran on a daily basis.
He contemplated on what question he would ask. For one thing, he seemed very curious about the identity of the Signore Teo that Uni has been talking about but he's also interested about their tour and how exactly will Uni do it alone?
If she's alone by herself, in any case.
Other questions such as what exactly is this museum surfaced in his mind and he took a deep breath before he asked, his eyes half-lidded and subconsciously giving off his boss vibes.
"How are you going to tour us, Uni?"
"That's easy," Uni flashed a rare smirk and it disappeared within seconds before she gave a triumphant smile instead. Without giving Tsuna any opportunity to pull back his question, Uni answered, "I have company, Sawada-san."
There was a flash of unconscious predatory instinct in her as she called out, "Shall I welcome them to all of you?"
Omake
"Honestly?" Uni looked at the museum 'The Museum' with a surprised expression. A thin line formed on her lips as she said, "A museum called 'The Museum'?"
"Hahaha," Byakuran smiled as he looked at her over his shoulders and said, "That expression kinds of suits you, Uni-chan~"
There was silence before the temperature in the room dropped and Uni looked at Byakuran in the eye and sighed, "You too, Byakuran? I mean... Common sense?"
A third person gave a small laugh as he said, "You're getting burned by Uni."
It was a miracle that the room's temperature decreased even more.
