The consistent knocking finally woke John up. Grumbling he sat up and saw he slept in last night's clothes. He got up, answered the door and stared at the man standing in the hall way.
"Can I come in or," the man drawled out, "you just going to drool and stare at my gorgeous body?"
John did not squeal as he wrapped his arms around Randy, but he did bury his face in Randy's neck and allow a few tears to fall. He brought his body flush against Randy, while leaving butterfly kisses on his neck and murmuring desperately, "Randy, you're here. They'll listen to you. You'll m...make everything ok …You won't l...l...leave me will you?"
"Of course not, Sunshine," Randy half grunted out in pleasure and half pain, "I would never leave you, but let's get back in the room and you can tell me what's wrong."
Randy was worried, not that he minded John's body plastered against him, but he was pushing Randy against the door frame and Randy's bruised ribs were protesting painfully. "John, as much as I would love to take you in the hallway and be damn to anyone who sees, we can't. My ribs aren't wrapped and you still have to tell me what the fuck is going on. If you keep this up, I might have to punish you later"
"Don't care. Want you…you're here now," John moaned out as he kissed up Randy's neck, along his jaw bone, finally reaching his lips all the while grinding into Randy's body.
Randy had enough; he shoved John roughly into the room, causing him to fall on his ass. "Damn it, Ran. What the fuck was that for?" He asked angrily as he sat on the floor rubbing his bruised behind.
"You weren't acting yourself and you wouldn't listen to me," Randy explained irritated as he gingerly walked in and sat on a chair. "I was trying to tell you that after our phone session yesterday, Teddy's phone call, me flying coach and I didn't have time to wrap my ribs that they were bothering me." Randy didn't mean to sound angry, but he was tired, in pain and worried about John.
John sat on the floor for a second, gnawing on his lower lip and his expression going from irritated to worry as he started crawling across the floor to Randy. When he got there, he kneeled by Randy's leg, rubbing his face on it and said sincerely, "I'm sorry Ran. I was just so happy to see you that I didn't think."
Randy reached down and gently lifted John's chin up to look at him in his watery, blue eyes. "It's okay, Sunshine. Why don't you sit up here and tell me what has you so upset," his voice calming John down.
John sat gently on Randy's lap and told him about the family dinner and his father disowning him while tears flowed down his cheeks.
By the time John finished telling Randy what happened, he was fuming. He knew Vince didn't like him much, but to disown John because they were in a relationship? He knew both of them made enough money to make it without Vince's help, so he just concentrated on making John calm down.
"Ok," Randy said through his own anger, "what did the rest of the family say?"
"I don't really know," John said, "I know Steph's been trying to call me."
Randy started to say something when there was a knock at the door. Sighing, he gently pushed John off his lap and said, "Why don't you answer that and then we'll figure out what to do next."
John sighed, nodded and went to open the door. When John opened the door, Stephanie barged in. She stopped when she saw Randy sitting there and demanded, "What are you doing here?", and then she turned, saw John and ran over to hug him.
"There you are," she said as she hugged him, "I've been calling and looking all over the place for you. You ran out of the restaurant and everyone got all worried."
"Sorry Steph, but why are they worried?" John asked, "I'm not part of the family anymore."
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that," she said, "Mark and Hunter refuse to talk to dad and mom screamed that he was an asswhole and stormed out of the restaurant."
John looked somewhat shocked at hearing the reactions. "I expected Mark and especially Hunt to react that way, but I didn't think mom would say anything against dad."
"Well, I guess she's tired of dad's attitude lately," she explained. "Hey, why don't I call the guys and we go out for lunch?" she asked.
Randy looked at her like she was nuts and said, "I have to stay here until the weekend at least. I'm not cleared to travel till then."
"I can't go either, because I have another meeting with Brock and Hyman," John explained
"And that brings me to my original question," she said. "What are you doing here, Randy?"
"I got called about an emergency," he said as if that explained everything.
"Ok then, I'll go find Wade because he was worried about John and I'll call the boys to come here," she said, "We'll order in."
They decided that sounded good and Steph left. John grabbed the things he needed and walked with Randy to the door.
At the door John turned, placed a hand on Randy's cheek and asked, "You'll still be here when I return, right?"
Randy turned into the touch and kissed John's palm. "Yes, I'll still be here," he said to ensure John.
John nodded and walked away as Randy shut the hotel room door. Neither man noticed the dark figure spying on them from around the corner.
'So, Randy's ribs aren't as bad as we thought,' the dark figure thought. 'I should let Brock know; maybe he'll let me finish Randy.' An evil laughter filled the hallway as a dark figure walked to his destination.
