::Remember Me::
Chapter Nine
::Remember Me::
A gentle smile welcomed him, though the face was hidden by glowing radiance that engulfed the boy; it made him feel safe and cherished. A slender hand reached out to him, palm up, beckoning him to come.
He reached, oh how he reached, but he couldn't grasp that hand. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Please! Take me with you!" He pleaded, "Don't leave me here!"
"I'll never forget!" The voice promised. "I'll never forget you, my love!"
::Remember Me::
"CAT!" He screamed, jolting awake.
"Triton?" Catherine called, knocking on his door before opening it, "Is everything alright?"
Panting, he ran his hand through his bed-mussed hair; it wasn't the first time he had had that dream. "Cat…"
"Cat?" The redhead frowned, before forcing a sunny disposition. "How are you feeling, honey?" Catherine inquired softly, sitting on the teen's bed and brushing aside the teenager's bangs.
Trowa blinked, "Better… I think?" he pulled away from her touch, "It's not as excruciating… but I'm still in pain."
"I spoke to the Doctor; he wants you to get out of the trailer." She handed him a pair of sunglasses. "Take a shower and get dressed."
He looked uncertain.
"It's been over a month. It's time you joined the land of the living, Triton." She encouraged.
::Remember Me::
Toya studied the train schedule, trying to determine where he was going. Once he left the Sanc Palace, the realization that he could go anywhere was thrilling.
The problem was, he didn't know where he wanted to go; just that he needed to get as far away from Relena as possible.
/"Last call for Sancian Shuttle Port."/
He smirked, "That's as good of a place as any."
::Remember Me::
He hissed as the artificial light hit him; the sunglasses offered little protection. "Cathy, I don't think I can do this."
"You won't get any better if you keep hiding." She tried to reason.
"It hurts."
Catherine cooed sympathy. "I know, little brother, but it will get better." She pulled him over to a tree. "Here, stand in the shade."
After a few minutes, Trowa started to relax.
"There. See? It's not so bad." She smiled, "The Doctor wants you to start being outside an hour a day- more if you can handle it. Your sensitivity won't go away without exposure."
Triton studied the surrounding area. "A circus?"
Cathy quirked an eyebrow, "Yes?"
"Why a circus?"
"It's where we live; where we work." She frowned, "Don't you remember?"
He thought for a moment, "No, I don't."
The redhead looked worried, "Well, I'm sure that it'll come back to you once you start doing your chores and we start rehearsing again."
"Rehearsing?"
"Our acts! I throw knives at you and we do gymnastics on the backs of horses and elephants."
"Somehow, I can't imagine standing still while my sister throws blades at me."
"I've only nicked you once." She grinned, pointing to his temple. "And you never flinched!"
He ran his finger over the scar.
"I think that you should start your chores sooner rather than later." Catherine determined. "First thing in the morning!"
::Remember Me::
Quatre stared out the window at the endless sea of stars. They were set to dock in three days, and Kushrenada's warning still burned in his mind.
"THERE IS A PLOT TO TURN YOU IN AS SOON AS WE DOCK"
He groaned rubbing his temple; it was a small crew, and none of them had sparked a reaction from his space heart.
'How can I get off this ship without being seen?' He pondered.
"Penny for your thoughts?"
The blonde looked up, "Captain."
"You look troubled, my young friend."
"It's difficult… not knowing whom I can trust." He admitted.
"You've been safe here? Who's not to be trusted?"
The teen sighed, "I don't know."
"We'll be docking soon. Do you plan on departing, or would you care to join us on our next cruise?"
Quatre snickered, before turning serious, "I am most grateful for your aid in getting me off of L4, for keeping my identity secret and giving me a purpose to wake up in the morning… but I think I should leave. You were fortunate to escape before being searched; if your luck fails, it would mean a great deal of trouble for you if I'm found." The teenager took a deep breath, "Someone else on this ship knows who I am; I'm not safe here."
"I assume that you know how to enter a colony from the outside?"
"Yes, I've had several missions that required it." The blonde tilted his head, "What do you have in mind?"
::Remember Me::
Toya exited the train and melted into the milling crowed, making his way to the departure board. "Where should I go?" He murmured to himself as he scanned his options. "L2… I need to go there."
He went to the desk to order his ticket and handed his ID over when asked.
"I'm sorry, sir." The attendant apologized, after inputting the required information, "I'm unable to sell you a ticket off planet; your ID has been flagged."
A security guard approached them.
"Flagged?" Hiiro glared, "What does that mean?"
"It may be something as simple as an unpaid parking ticket." The older man shrugged. "It happens more times than not. Zack here will investigate and we can get you on your way."
"Relena…" The teenager growled, following Zack into a secured room; she had something to do with this, he was sure.
::Remember Me::
"Do you always do what your sister tells you to?" an accented voice inquired.
Triton looked up from feeding the lions; his sunglasses slipping down his nose. Leaning against the cage was a redhead teenager in an exceptionally tight T-shirt that revealed her well endowed cleavage and the pertness of her nipples. The shirt ended at her mid-drift allowing her toned stomach to show, until it disappeared into her the cut off shorts that hung low on her hips and were cut high at an angle to show as much of her lean thigh as possible.
She smirked when the teenager gulped and pushed his glasses back in place; his face turned red followed by his ears and his neck. "Name's Sasha; I'm one of the aerialists." She all but purred. "Wanna ditch chores and have some fun instead?"
"Cathy will get angry." He hesitated, glaring at the bucket of raw meat. "Have you ever heard her yell?"
"Yell? The better word would be screech; everyone within a ten mile radius has heard that bitch." He chuckled at that. "Come on!" She encouraged, "What Cathy doesn't know won't hurt you." She smiled brightly.
Triton thought about it for a moment before grinning broadly. "Let's go!"
::Remember Me::
Emerald eyes widened as he took in the trailer. It was a narrow living space that was divided up into quarters. The front forth was the kitchen then the living room, followed by the bathroom/ laundry room and then bedroom in the back. There were clothes and magazines scattered around, hanging on mismatched furniture; the whole atmosphere was hazy with residual cigarette smoke. "Uh… when I ditched chores, this isn't what I had in mind…"
Sasha laughed as she flopped down on the couch; her breasts bouncing with the movement.
"Uh… Um…" Triton swallowed before jerking his eyes away. "So… Uh… wh-what were you thinking?"
She tossed him a controller, "Left 4 Dead. A classic if there ever was." She grinned. "I figured we could play for a bit and then make out. Game play makes me hot."
"That… sounds like a good plan." He returned the grin as he flopped onto the couch beside the girl.
"So, if you're part of the circus, why is your trailer so far off site?"
The redhead sneered, "Your dear ol' sister doesn't like me." She leaned to forward as she assaulted a horde of zombies. "She convinced the Ringmaster that I wasn't good for the 'Family Environment' the circus tries to project."
"So what? You thought that corrupting Cathy's little brother was good payback?"
"Nah, though that is a good idea." She shrugged, "I've seen you around camp and you look like you could use a friend. The bitch keeps you on a pretty short leash. You need to get out more. Besides, you're sex on legs."
"I've been sick." Triton explained, "She worries."
"Kid, there is 'worried' and there is 'WORRIED'." Sasha put her controller to the side and moved to straddle the other teen's lap. She leaned forward, resting her elbows on Triton's shoulders; her breasts barely grazed his chest. "Some people worry too much. You were sick; you're not sick anymore. Time to live a little, Tri." Her breath ghosted across his lips as flexed her hips downwards.
The banged teenager gasped, his hands automatically catching her hips and holding her in place. "I…"
She laughed, "You a virgin?"
Confusion flitted on his face, "I… I don't know…"
She leaned back, running her hands along his chest, "That brain surgery?"
"It left me with temporal desultory amnesia… I can remember most things, but there are some things… that I either don't remember or am confused on the details."
"Like whether or not you've fucked anyone?" She smirked, teasing a nipple through his tank top; Triton hissed. "We can fix that and give you a definite memory." She leaned in, murmuring, "You can touch me anywhere," before capturing his lips in a fiery kiss.
It was like a switch was activated in the boy. His hands ran up her sides, sliding underneath her shirt; she wasn't wearing a bra.
She broke the kiss, laughing as he fondled her. "You've wanted to do that all day, haven't you?"
::Remember Me::
"Toya, Darling." Relena greeted, walking into the security booth where her fiancé waited. She reached to embrace him, but he shifted away from her. "When you said you were going on a trip, I didn't expect you to go off planet."
"Does it matter?" Hiiro's glare was subarctic. "I'm free to go where I want."
"Actually, no, you're not." She smiled sweetly. "That car accident you were in flagged your license."
"Relena, that accident was not my fault."
"No it wasn't."
"And the insurance paid for all damages and medical bills, correct?"
"Y-Yes…"
"Then there is no reason for me to be restricted; fix it." He demanded. "Now."
Relena pursed her lips together, thinking for a few minutes, "Toya, Darling." She tried, "What on earth could you want in the colonies?"
"Colony." He corrected. "I have to get to L2."
The politician choked, "Wh-Wha-Wh-Why!?"
Hiiro crossed his arms, "I don't know."
"Well, until you can give me a reason…"
"It's really none of your business, where I go and why, Relena."
"I'm your FIANCE!" She shrieked, "That gives me the right!"
"No, it doesn't." She wilted under his piercing glare, "Fix it. Now."
