In the morning Connor sat up in his bed and stretched. Since it was Saturday he didn't bother changing out of his pjs before leaving his room. He stood by the wall of windows and looked out over New York. The city was so beautiful, and even though there were still cars and people bustling about everything looked more...peaceful. Connor smiled. He always loves mornings. Mornings just brought a feeling of excitement for the new chances and experiences that the day could hold. He sat down on the couch and simply stared out the windows. Later he heard the main bedroom door open and his father, fully dressed for work, came into the open space.

"Why in the hell...I mean, Why in God's name are you up so early?"

"Good morning to you too father." Connor smiled some more. "And it's not that early, it's only 9 o'clock."

Haytham yawned. "Still too early. If I had a day off I'd sleep until 11."

"What!? That is WAY too late! What about being up to see the sunrise and the start of a glorious morning?"

"Ridiculous, the only time I'd be awake to see a sunrise is when I've stayed up that late. And that sunrise is usually not glorious since it's been accompanied by side affects known as a hang-ov..." Haytham stopped himself. "Nevermind. I'm simply not a morning person."

"I love mornings." Connor flung his arms out into the sunlight coming through the windows.

"Well that's something different about us, although I'm sure there's much more."

"I'm certain that we have things in common too."

"I'd hope so, or else I'd doubt who your real father was." Haytham chuckled a bit but then stopped. "That was a joke and meant no insult to your mother's loyalty."

Connor nodded. "Yeah. I uh...I got that."

"Of course you did, I'm sorry. I've just worked with people who didn't take jokes very well. Speaking of work I must be off. I should be home around 3 or 4."

"Ok."

"You um...you have fun."

"Ok."

"With whatever it is you plan on doing."

"Yep."

"Alright then."

"Yeah."

"Be safe."

"Uh huh."

"Okay."

"Ok."

"See you later then."

"Bye dad."

"Bye...son." Haytham awkwardly waved and then left.

Connor stood up and looked out at the skyline again. Then he grabbed a book as well as some toast topped with raspberry jelly and flopped back onto the couch. He got through a few chapters when his phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey Connor! What's going on?" Desmond's voice shouted from the other end. "Oh, it's Desmond by the way."

"Yeah," Connor chuckled, "I figured that out."

"Heh, yeah. So what's up in the interesting life of Connor Kenway?"

"I'm just reading."

Then Connor heard Desmond loud whisper, most likely to Ezio and Leonardo. "I told you he wasn't doing anything important. Just some dumb reading. Yes it is. Yes it is! Fine, whatever you nerds." Then he spoke at his normal volume. "Well that sounds fun, say how about we do something else that's really fun?"

"Um, sure. What is it?"

"Ezio, Leo and I...hey I used grammar! Anywho, we were wondering if you'd like to hang out with us, maybe grab some lunch later. You know Bro-hood group chilling together stuff."

"Alright that sounds good let me just..."

"Sounds great we're waiting downstairs!"

"But..."

"But what? I literally just asked you and you just said sure."

"Well yes, but..."

"So what's the hold up?"

"I'm not even dressed yet!"

"Ew, too much information." Desmond again whispered loudly to the other members of the Brotherhood. "He's naked."

Connor, on the other end, rolled his eyes. "No. I'm not."

"Not what? You didn't hear anything." The loud whisper returned. "I think he can hear me whispering to you."

"Desmond I..."

"Oh by the way where's your room?"

"Um...top floor, take a left from the elevator and it should be at the last door. I forgot the exact number but it's not at all hard to find."

"Okay thanks that's where we were thinking, but just wanted to make sure."

"Well you're welcome. But...why did you want to know in the fir..." Connor turned to the door when he heard a knock. Still holding the phone he walked over and opened it.

"Hey Connor!" Ezio stood there with Leo and Desmond still on the phone behind him.

Connor hit the end call button and stood looking at them. "Why are you here?"

Ezio walked past him into the penthouse. "We would've been fined for staying parked right out front much longer. So I payed for valet parking and to avoid a fine for loitering we decided to see where you lived."

Desmond whistled as he hopped onto the sofa. "What a view. When you look out my window you usually see an alley with a crazy homeless guy throwing fish bones around. We don't even eat fish with bones. Either that or a Chihuahua staring back at you creepily."

Ezio sat next to Desmond. "This place sure is fancy. I'm glad to actually be in here for once, never had a reason until now."

Leo walked towards the two in the living area. Then he grabbed both of their arms and dragged them back out the door and shut it. Connor stood confounded until there again was a knocking. He went to open the door again.

Leonardo was there with Ezio and Desmond. "Hello Connor. Do you mind if we come in?"

"Uh...sure. But w..."

Then Leo turned to the other two. "Manners, use them."

Ezio bowed slightly. "Apologies Mr. Kenway, it was rather rude of us to barge in."

Desmond put his hands in his pockets. "Yeah, sorry."

Connor stepped aside to let them in...again. "It's uh...alright. I'll just get changed and then we can go."

"No tour?" Desmond was on the couch again.

"It's an apartment, there's really no need for a tour. And it's a pretty open floor plan, only my room, the bathroom, and my dad's room aren't connected. Now if you don't mind I'm going to my room over here to put on actual clothes." Connor left them in the living room and went into his bedroom. He pulled off his tank top and opened one of his dresser drawers to look for a t-shirt. He heard a 'tsk, tsk'.

"Tsk, tsk." Leonardo had his closet open.

Connor jumped and quickly turned red. "What on earth are you doing!?"

"Trying to give you a sense of style. You keep wearing ratty tie-dye tees and blue jeans. What are you a peace-loving hippy?"

"You know a bedroom is supposed to be private!"

"Calm down Connor we're both guys, no big deal. I'm only gay, and not for you." Leonardo looked back at him. "Although, you honestly aren't that bad looking."

"Um..."

Leo turned back to the closet. "Now let's see. My my, not much selection. Hey Ezio!"

The other Italian poked his head into the room. "Si?"

"We need to go shopping, because Connor needs new clothes. His wardrobe is a disaster."

"That sounds like a plan."

"Oh and one more thing. Lui è così carino quando egli arrossisce corretto? Egli sembra buono shirtless."

Connor caught the last word. "Wait, what are..."

Ezio laughed. "Ancora non così belle come me! Well when you're done being a fashion dictator we'll be waiting." Then he went back to the living room.

Leonardo grabbed something from the closet. "Alright, now how about these jeans?"

"But I was going to throw them out, they have a few holes in them."

"Duh, that's the point. Now put them on."

"Not when you're in the room."

Leonardo rolled his eyes. "Ugh, fine. I'm leaving, come out to get me when you have pants on."

Connor, finally alone tossed the tank top back onto his bed and changed from his pajama bottoms into the holey jeans. He also put on socks and since he would be leaving the room he grabbed his trusty hoodie and walked into the living room, but he didn't see Leonardo. "Where's Leo?"

Desmond shrugged, but then Leo was heard.

"Aha! This will do nicely I think." He came out of the other bedroom.

Connor crossed his arms. "Hey! That's my dad's room you can't be in there! That's..."

"What? An "Invasion of privacy"? Here put this on." Leo tossed him a bundle. "I found it in a tote buried under a bunch of papers."

Connor, who figured there was really no harm in Leonardo digging through forgotten clothes in his father's room, simply shot Leo a warning glare and returned to his own room. He emerged wearing a blue and white horizontal striped t-shirt. "I thought you said no t-shirts."

Leonardo smiled. "At least none of yours. This is generic enough to still be kind of cool."

"Humph. Well are we okay to leave then?"

"Hmm...Ezio what do you think? I found a leather jacket but I'm not sure it's the proper weather for that yet."

Ezio gave Connor a thorough looking over. "Nah I don't think you need it, it's not that cold right now. Good job Leo, better than tie-dye dream catchers or wolves."

Connor looked at Ezio. "Gee thanks, I'm glad you all agree my clothes were hideous before."

Desmond stood up. "How come nobody asked for my opinion?"

Leo and Ezio both looked at him. "Because you wear the same hoodie and blue jeans every single day and have no fashion sense."

Desmond sat down. "Touche."

Ezio clapped his hands. "Alright, if everyone's good to go we can head out to the mall."

With there being no objections the four teens followed Ezio out the snazzy building and waited for the red sports car to be brought to the front. They all piled in and Ezio took off down the streets. The mall that Ezio drove dangerously to was bigger than any store Connor had ever been to. Once inside Leo grabbed Connor's arm and started pulling him towards the escalator. "Alright the best men's fashion stores are on floor 3."

"Malls can have 3 floors?"

"Dear Lord what Amish paradise did you come from? Malls can have as many floors as they need. This one actually has 4."

"Sorry I've never been to a shopping center this big."

Leo put a hand on Connor's shoulder. "No wonder your style needs help. Thank goodness you know me."

Once on the 3rd floor Leonardo directed the group to an American Eagle store. "We could start here. American Eagle is pretty popular, and basic. We'll eventually get to lots of the other stores."

Desmond groaned. "Ugh, shopping is the worst. Soooo boring."

Leo smacked him. "Stop complaining or else you'll be the next person I redo."

With Desmond quieted Leonardo turned his focus back to Connor. "Alright then. Let me work my magic." With Leonardo taking control of the fashion expedition Connor was guided through racks upon racks of clothes. Countless trips were made to the dressing room, and they had only been to 3 of the stores.

"You haven't bought a thing!" Leonardo sat next to Connor on a bench outside their next stop. "And I put together so many wonderful outfits."

"Indeed you have but...to be honest..."

"You didn't like any of them? But...they were so...and I'm so...fashionable." Leo pouted and looked close to tears.

"No no no! That's not it at all! I uh...just don't have much money."

Desmond stopped looking at his phone. "Sure you do!"

"No I don't."

Desmond pulled a rectangle from his pocket. "Oh I guess I forgot to give this to you."

"Desmond I can't use your credit card, it wouldn't be right."

"What? That's not mine. Please Connor if I had a credit card I certainly wouldn't share. Nah I swiped it from the table in your kitchen."

Connor shook his head. "Nooo...don't tell me you stole my dad's credit card."

"It's not stealing...it's um...borrowing. Look on the bright side, you can update your wardrobe. I only helped."

"I'm not going to use this without permission, and isn't it illegal?"

"Why don't you call him?"

"He's at work!"

Ezio raised an eyebrow. "And? I can call my dad at work. C'mon just do it, what's the worst that could happen?"

Connor sighed. "I suppose you're right, but I..."

Desmond handed Connor a phone. "You should get a password on your phone."

"Aren't you just a klepto today?"

Desmond shrugged. "Just helping."

Connor was going to say something else when he heard Haytham on the other end.

"Hello? Haytham Kenway speaking."

"Uh...hey dad."

"Dad? Who...oh Connor it's you!"

"Yeah...who else..."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing really but..."

"Then why on earth are you calling me?"

Connor thought about what he was going to say next. "Um...I was wondering if I could use your credit card."

"Go ahead."

"Isn't it illegal though? Don't you have to sign something?"

"I'll take care of it, don't worry."

"Alright, how much..."

"Oh shit why's he coming toward my office...Uh got to go Connor, spend whatever I'll see you later!"

Haytham hung up the phone before Connor could say bye. He turned to his friends. "Well I think it'll be okay."

Leo stood up. "Oh goodie unlimited spending!"

Connor stood up too. "Um, no."

"Um yes, with my eavesdropping I heard 'spend whatever' that's unlimited. So let's go back and buy stuff!"

Desmond groaned. "Going back? I can't take much more, you three can shop for clothes I'm going to look at video games for a bit and then meet you by the escalators."

Ezio waved at him before following Connor who was being steered by Leo. "Just don't get lost Desmond!"
