Sorry this took so long, I've been busy and had writer's block. Hope you all enjoy, read and review!
"Hyb, Guar, could you move?" Mach asked as he entered the house, carrying his friend. The two got off the couch, allowing the hedgehog to place the dog on it. "I need a cold cloth and a blanket." He added, the older hybrid immediately going to get the asked for items.
"He's the second-in-command of the Chaos Wreckers! What is he doing here?!" Eclipse demanded, glaring at her son.
"His name is Brandon...and he's sick." The blue and red boy responded, not looking up from the other boy.
"Sick or not a Chaos Wrecker isn't allowed in my house." The black and red woman told her son, crossing her arms to show she was serious.
"So then...you'll kick me out as well?" He stood, turning to face his parents and the other adults. Their eyes widened as they stared at him.
"What are you talking about?" Sonic asked, suddenly having his doubts about trusting his son.
"...I'm the leader of the Chaos Wreckers." The red eyed boy explained, looking straight at his parents. No one heard the bucket of water fall to the floor, spilling out as it landed on its side beside the dropped blanket and cloth.
"Mach!" Sugar gasped, hands over her mouth in shock. "Why...why did you tell them?" This drew the attention of the adults, who now looked at her with narrow eyes.
"You knew..." Tails growled, his daughter nodding.
"The Chaos Wreckers are not all bad! It was them that found me and K'aak!" The brown eyed girl insisted, knowing full well that she was sticking up for a bunch of delinquents. The gang leader gave her a soft, sad smile.
"It's fine Hyb, I know they hate us...that was the point."
"But..." The yellow and cream flier disagreed, not wanting the family of her 'brother' to hate him. He turned back to the adults.
"You can kick me out if you want; I understand...but let us stay here until Brandon is better." The rider said as though his parents didn't have a choice.
"You can't tell us what to do!" His mother snarled, causing the boy to flinch...he'd broken her trust, and perhaps even her love.
"It is because of you all that he started the Chaos Wreckers in the first place!" The rabbit hybrid yelled suddenly; bring the attention of everyone conscious.
"Hyb..." Mach murmured, not knowing that she knew the reason he'd started the group...a part of him wanted to stop her, while the other wanted the adults to hear the truth.
"What are you talking about?" Her father asked, trying to get over his own anger with his daughter.
"It is because you are all so well-known, so perfect...heroes, each and every one of you! Do you have any idea the kind of pressure that puts on us, not only from others but from ourselves as well?!" She took a breath, trying to calm herself...if she kept yelling she'd wake K'aak and Brandon. "We are expected and expected ourselves to be heroes...and when we are not we not only hate ourselves, we are a disappointment to the world. It is because he wanted to rebel against your fame that the Chaos Wreckers was started...they are not just a group of delinquents; they are a family."
"She's right. I care about every member of the Chaos Wreckers, from Brandon to Rein; I have since I started the Chaos Wreckers...they each care for me as well."
"Boss?" Rein stood at the door, everyone turning to look at her. Her boss walked over to her.
"What is it Rein?" Mach asked, worried about her returning.
"I...I'm sorry!" She exclaimed, tears in her eyes. "I should have called you by name when I came here earlier, but I was worried about Brandon and wasn't thinking. I'm sorry!" Was the added explanation. He smiled at her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"It's fine Rein...Brandon is well-known as a member of the Chaos Wreckers, they would have found out the moment I brought him here anyway." The blue and red hedgehog assured the swan.
"You know Eclipse...you weren't perfect yourself when we met; weren't even really 'good' for a long time...maybe you and Sonic should remember that before you judge your son so harshly." Knuckles reminded the adult hedgehogs, picking up his own son. "I think it's about time we left." He told his wife, who looked at their friends and nodded.
"Mach...how many of the Chaos Wreckers are like you, keeping it from their parents?" Cream asked suddenly, Amy and her family having now left along with Rein...her daughter had went to refill the bucket and had returned with a fresh cloth and blanket which was put on the dog. The blue and red boy was sitting in front of the couch, waiting for his friend to awaken. He turned his head to look at the woman.
"Most of them, like Rein...some have told their parents but they don't care, like Brandon." Mach stated, clenching his fists and teeth suddenly. "And a few are like me...kicked out by their parents once they found out. They live near our meeting place." Was added, softer than his previous statement.
"Wait...you mean some of the Chaos Wreckers are homeless?" Eclipse asked suddenly, eyes wide.
"Yeah...we're all they have left now. The rest of us spend our money to buy them food, and the tents and bedding we bought for them as well." The gang leader explained, his parents looking at one another before they disappeared in a flash of green light from his mother's Chaos Control. "Where are they going?" He asked.
"I imagine to see if you're telling the truth...but you've told us of your involvement with the Chaos Wreckers, you have no reason to lie any longer so I believe you." The brown eyed woman said, the boy nodding in understanding. Tails merely sat beside his wife, deep in thought himself.
"Welcome...home." Sonic and Eclipse said as they walked in, followed by four of the Chaos Wreckers...three boys and one girl.
"Boss!" They exclaimed, running to the hedgehog boy's side.
"What are you doing here?" Mach asked in shock when he saw his friends, who immediately sat in front of him a little ways from the couch.
"Those two said we could live here." The girl explained, pointing to the gang leader's parents. "We knew they're old heroes, and your parents too, so it's not like they'd lie."
"Live...here?" The blue and red hedgehog questioned, looking up at his parents.
"We couldn't just let your friends live on the street." His mother said, smiling. "I'm sorry about before...I'm not perfect Mach, and I've done a lot of bad things in my time. I may not approve of you being a gang leader, but that doesn't mean I don't love you...you're still my son, and these are your friends."
"Mom...Dad...thank you."
Eclipse did a lot of bad, Mach being the leader of a gang of delinquents doesn't compare to her trying to destroy the world after all. I'm glad they forgave him in the end. Not much else to say, so see you all later.
