I am terribly sorry for the month-long gap between the last update, but I've been loaded with college work.

This chapter is where the main plot of the fic begins to kick in.

Shaundi's Plan

Once the elevator carried Shaundi and Pierce to the penthouse's main floor, she directed him to the bedroom she had previously placed Donnie in. Stopping a few feet short of the room, she informed her lieutenant that the door was closed and the mechanic had been left to rest. If she was correct, he remained in the same place. Pierce only nodded, silently acknowledging the information he was being given.

Shaundi slowly approached the door and lifted a hand to knock on it.

"Donnie?" She called his named and lightly knocked on the door. "It's Shaundi. Mind if we come in?"

Shaundi received no response, but cupped an ear to listen for any small noise. From her perspective, it sounded like he had gotten out of bed and was slowly walking toward the door. Within seconds, the door was opened to reveal a fully-awake Donnie who appeared as though he had healed from his injuries.

"How are you feeling?" She asked out of curiosity. "You looked like shit before."

Donnie shrugged his shoulders and briefly flashed an awkward smile. "Well, to be honest, I did. Those Morning Star shitheads are definitely jackasses, but they're definitely talented when it comes to beating the shit out of someone." He paused and gestured for her and Pierce to enter the room. "I gotta tell you, Shaundi, I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am that you saved me," he complimented her, which caused Shaundi to notably blush and temporarily leave herself at a loss for words.

"Exactly what happened before our girl rescued you, man? I only got the basic details," Pierce stated in Shaundi's temporary silence. "Actually, fuck that. How did you even end up in Steelport? The last time we saw you, the boss was fucking around with you in Stilwater."

"After the boss killed Maero and The Brotherhood was destroyed, I decided to get an ordinary job at one of the local Rim Jobs in Stilwater. The business went well, until one day I was called to work one of the Rim Jobs located in Steelport because they were low on mechanics, so I said 'Why not?'. Next thing you know, I'm suddenly kidnapped by some fucking gang, which turned out to be the Morning Star, because they apparently believed I saw Shaundi at the hospital, and I didn't."

Pierce only nodded, again taking in the information he was being given.

"And speaking of the boss, where is he? I haven't seen him in quite a while, and Gat too, for that matter."

The only response he received was a deep sigh from Shaundi. She told Pierce the news before, as much as she hated to be the bearer of bad news, and it seemed as though she had to do it again. What a joy.

"Donnie… they're dead," she bluntly said.

"What? They're dead? How did they-"

Shaundi raised a hand to silence the mechanic, telling him all he needed to know. She didn't want to expand upon the subject, as she felt it wasn't necessary for every single person she came in contact with to be fully aware of their losses. Yes, it was an important subject, but it was a subject she hated discussing.

"Anyway," Pierce began and decided to transition from the controversial subject, "what are we going to do about the Syndicate?"

His boss responded by closing her eyes and placing a hand on her chin, signaling that she had engaged in a critical thinking process. Shaundi began to mentally evaluate the most recent events that had occurred to hopefully receive a better understanding of their next move.

Let's see here… the attack on Powder failed and caused Pierce to be hospitalized. However, he seems to be in healthy condition. More recently, I rescued Donnie from the Morning Star and left him to rest, and the same can be said for him. There's no doubt that Loren expects us to attack his 'precious' gun store again, even though he didn't seem to give a single shit about it. I don't know if Donnie's ever had any experience with a gun, but it wouldn't hurt to see him try…

Shaundi quickly removed her hand from her chin, opened her eyes, and stared directly at the mechanic who formerly worked for The Brotherhood and The Westside Rollerz.

"Donnie, have you ever had any experience with a gun?" She asked him as if she was surveying him.

"Not really, my only experience is with cars. Why? You want me to fight alongside you guys?"

She nodded in approval. "Yes."

"But why do you want me to do that? Whenever I was around in Stilwater I was always in a gang that opposed you and anyone else in the Saints."

"We KNOW that," Shaundi replied, "but can you honestly say you worked for The Brotherhood because you wanted to?"

"Well… no, I didn't. Maero treated me like absolute shit, and his lackeys weren't any better. Still, the boss enjoyed dragging me around a lot, especially when he forced me to sabotage one of The Brotherhood's cars."

Shaundi released an awkward laugh. "Yeah, I think we can all agree that the boss was a major asshole back then. Do you know what he even did to Jessica in retaliation for Carlos' death? It sure as Hell wasn't pretty."

Pierce decided to joke about the past event. "You know, I'm surprised you haven't turned into him yet, and decided to hide both of Loren's bitches in the trunk of some shitty-ass car yet, girl."

Unfortunately, his 'joke' was met with a highly negative reaction, in the form of a piercing glare, from Shaundi, who didn't find it even remotely humorous. He immediately realized he was being a nuisance and decided to keep quiet for the rest of the conversation.

"Donnie," she began, returning her attention to the mechanic, "I don't know if you're aware or not, but this is a very serious situation. As much as we'd like him to fuck around and be a total dumbass, Loren is one intelligent son of a bitch who doesn't fuck around, especially after what he did to the boss and Johnny. I understand if you've never used a gun before, but I believe it's time you start using one now. However, I don't need you to become a master at killing and a god among men, but I need you to at least be able to defend yourself in a time of crisis. Understand?"

Donnie simply nodded, causing Shaundi to flash a brief smile.

"Good. Now, we'll begin with some target practice, but first, you're going to need a pistol," she informed him, and ordered Pierce to hand her his .45 Shepherd from before. She then checked to ensure it was loaded, which it was, and passed the Saints' trademark pistol to the mechanic.

Initially, the target practice Shaundi had established for Donnie was somewhat of a drag. When it came to holding the pistol in his hand and simply aiming at targets, he was flawless.

His problems lied within actually shooting the targets, which were some of the empty cans of Saints Flow that Shaundi had dumped into the garbage bag. Despite her doing that about a week ago, the bag still lied outside the door to her ex's apartment.

Whereas weapons professionals like Shaundi and Pierce could easily shoot one-handed with a .45 Shepherd in dire situations where no other choices were available, Donnie wasn't as fortunate. Shaundi didn't blame him, because why would a mechanic need to be experienced in that sort of field? It wasn't his forte.

With each mistake Donnie made, Shaundi tried her best to assist in increasing his skills. He claimed her assistance wasn't necessary, but ignored him and felt that it was her responsibility to have skilled comrades on her side; she also found it important for him to gain her trust as his new boss considering the crude and merciless behavior of his previous two bosses.

Again, she didn't need him to be the best marksman in Steelport, but he couldn't be a simple pushover, either. Shaundi needed Donnie to able to defend himself to the smallest degree at best, such as when dealing with a regular-sized gang attack, which normally wasn't too much of a problem.

After a decent amount of time passed due to the amount of training he needed, Donnie successfully shot down one of the Saints Flow cans and practically celebrated as if he'd struck a jackpot in the lottery. Shaundi and Pierce didn't react with the same degree of positivity, but they were happy for the mechanic nonetheless.

Once Donnie's session of target practice ended Shaundi decided to hold a 'meeting' with him and Pierce at the penthouse. Donnie had officially been canonized by Shaundi as the newest member of the Third Street Saints, and she felt a 'meeting' was in order. The two were initially confused by her announcement but followed along nonetheless.

Pierce and Donnie entered the penthouse through the back doors, where they found their boss sitting on the couch in a relaxed position with her legs crossed. They joined her and sat on the chairs located on opposite sides of the couch.

"You wanted to see us, Shaundi?" Donnie politely asked.

She nodded. "Yes, I did. I think it's time I assign you with your first mission. You think you can handle it?"

"That's fine by me. What do you want me to do?"

Shaundi shifted her eyes to Pierce for a moment, then turned her attention back to the mechanic.

"Actually, this mission is a collaboration between the three of us because it's no one-man job," she stated, "I've been wanting to do this for a while now, but I honestly didn't feel as though we were ready before. Now, I think it's time we begin our attack on Loren and The Syndicate."

Pierce smirked and placed a hand on his chin. "I like where this is going. So, what's the plan?"

Shaundi firmly looked both of her men in the eyes, and took a deep breath.

"I'm probably not going to sound like myself when I say this, but…" She intentionally trailed off, not feeling quite ready to deliver the bombshell. Surprisingly, she didn't receive any comment.

"…we're going to raid the guard armory."

It appeared as though Donnie wanted to protest, so she interrupted him by making a convincing point. "I figured someone was going to protest here, so allow me to answer your questions," she started, looking back-and-forth at the two, "That Belgian fuck resides in an extremely tall skyscraper in downtown Steelport, and the guard armory owns a bomb specifically designed for effectively destroying such a large building. In fact, they're the only ones who do, and stealing it from them will definitely give us the advantage we need to kill all the assholes who reside in that building."

Pierce stood up and looked back and forth between the two. "Yeah. Shaundi, it's great that you're starting to think like the boss now," he stated with hints of sarcasm in his voice, indicating he didn't have much interest in her words, "but shouldn't we be focusing more on Donnie's look?"

Shaundi rolled her eyes in disgust at his remark. Pierce's 'creative mind' was trying to take control of the situation, like it always tried... and failed.

Yes, the Saints were worldwide celebrities and pop culture icons, but that didn't make them the fashion police and the right to judge the wardrobe of others.

"Pierce, what the hell does Donnie's attire have to do with my plan?" She asked in a tone causing her to come across as annoyed.

His eyes widened as if she was delirious. "Are you kidding me? Just look at him!" He shouted while pointing at Donnie's outfit. It was the same getup he wore when he worked for The Brotherhood back in Stilwater.

Literally right there and then, Shaundi raised her tattooed hand and facepalmed with an audible smacking sound. She knew Pierce could be ridiculous sometimes, but this was taking the goddamn cake.

"You've gotta be fucking kidding me. Pierce, if you want to take Donnie on a shopping spree to Planet Saints, I really don't care, just as long as you do it on your own time," she informed him while slowly removing her hand from her face.

"Hey, I'm just sayin', there's nothing wrong with kicking ass and looking good at the same time. You of all people should know that," Pierce replied as he sat down and crossed his arms while a smug smirk appeared on his face.

"Whatever," she immediately dismissed his remark, not taking it to heart. "Anyway, do you guys understand the plan?"

The two nodded simultaneously, remaining silent.

"Alright then, let's get this shit started," Shaundi finished as she rose from the couch and approached the elevator to the garage, with Pierce and Donnie following suite.

It was time for the Saints' first plan of attack against The Syndicate to commence.

So yeah, Donnie's a member of the Saints now. I was inspired to make him a Saint because I've liked him ever since the first Saints Row, and it was great to see him return in Enter the Dominatrix even if it isn't a canonical event in the series' timeline.

Anyway, feel free to let me know what you think, and I'll get the next chapter up as soon as possible… without rushing it, of course.
