It was Friday again before Ianto knew where the week had gone. Days had blurred into the next and there seemed to be marking coming out of everywhere. He'd been trying to get most of it done during the week, so he'd spent most lunchtimes in his office, grateful for the peace and quiet. He'd had a few quick chats with Owen and they'd arranged to have a few drinks at Ianto's that evening. He'd decided it was time to bite the bullet and just tell Owen the truth, and whilst neutral territory would have been better, he wasn't sure the pub was the place for their talk.

"Cheers mate." Owen said, taking the beer bottle from Ianto who sat next to him on the sofa with his own drink. "Manic week." He commented.

Ianto nodded. "Very."

"Spoken to your friend yet?" Owen asked.

Ianto shook his head. "On my to do list." He paused. "Owen..." He began.

"It's me?" Owen said simply.

"You know?" Ianto said nervously.

"Ianto I'm not an idiot." Owen replied.

The Welshman sighed. "Shame I am." He said. "I'm really sorry."

"Don't be daft. We're mates... good mates and I'm not about to run for the hills. If I had a problem with you being gay I would have left ages ago. It's not an issue." He swigged from his beer. "It's not like I've never been with a guy before myself." He said nonchalantly.

"What?" Ianto spluttered.

Owen laughed a little. "Once. Few years ago. It was... different. It was good." He admitted.

"So you're... bi?" Ianto asked.

"I guess." Owen shrugged.

"Right." Ianto replied still surprised by Owen's revelation.

"And hey I'm flattered you know? I'm just... not in that place right now. Not so soon after Katie." Owen explained.

"Absolutely." Ianto said.

"But maybe... some point... I might be." Owen offered.

Ianto's eyes widened. "What?" He said softly.

Owen smirked. "I'm not ruling out the possibility Ianto... I'm just... asking for a rain check I guess."

A smile flickered onto Ianto's face. "Oh." He said, the smile growing to a grin. "I can probably do that."

Owen smiled. "Good." He said simply as he sipped at his beer again.

Ianto couldn't help but laugh a little. "That was probably the last reaction I expected..." He mused.

"Full of surprises me." Owen remarked with a grin.

"You certainly are." Ianto replied.
