Chapter Ten: A Not So Warm Warming Lunch

The warmth gifted to him by the strange young man lasted for a good while, allowing the Shadow and Jack to stay up till past midnight; Pitch eventually breaking under their combined stares and dragging Jamie out into the night (the introduction between the two was quite unique, and the Shadow and boy became fast friends with little delay) .

But Pitch refused to play.

At first.

However, when all three of the boys ganged up on him he struck back with a ferocity that would haunt them for days. No longer would the three boys be able to look at snow ball fights the same way again.

Having caught the shivers from the 'Night of Snowy Terror'—as Jamie and Jack had dubbed it—Kuroko had been dragged to a café the next day by Kise, who was bound and determined to warm up his little Shadow.

Not that he'd ever say that out loud of course.

Not like he didn't want to, cause he really, really, really, did, but the Model was certain Kuroko would break a few ribs if that should ever come to pass.

Besides, he had to stay in tip top shape if he wanted to chase off the strangely large bunny staring at them through the windows of the café.

"So," he cheerily said, ignoring the bunny for the mean time, "did you have fun?"

Kuroko blinked in response, "yes." He declared before turning back to his vanilla shake.

"Next time you should probably wear something heavier."

The shadow only hummed in response.

"…who were you hanging out with anyway?" the Model inquired, unable to hold his curiosity back any longer.

"Winter and Fear." The Shadow smiled slightly, before flicking towards the bunny and frowning, though he cleverly disguised it as looking at the birds now fluttering into the sky.

"I see," Kise said in a way that declared he really, really didn't, and his smile seemed agitated.

"Is something wrong?"

"Just annoying fur balls ruining my date is all."

"Your date?"

"With you of course, Kuro-chi!"

The Shadow raised a brow in question, as if to say 'since when was that agreed upon?', but he didn't bother saying anything further, opting instead to finish his shake.

And, while Kuroko was enjoying said shake Kise quickly, effortlessly, opened the window beside them and tossed his scolding hot coco at the bunny, watching in glee as the creature hopped around cursing in pain and only slightly surprised when the creature wound up going through a few people.

"Hey, wait," Kise suddenly turned, closing the window with a snap and facing the Shadow, "we came here to warm you up! Not to get you something cold!"

Kuroko merely shrugged.

A/N: I know, I know, nowhere near as long as the last chapter, but I never really expected the chapters to get that long in the first place, in fact, I never thought I'd get so many followers to begin with. So that's what makes me continue to post, but, really, reviews help get longer chapters, and ideas. Yes, ideas help.

Anyway, besides that, I really do want you guys input; who do you want more of? What do you want more of? Seriously, if you guys leave this up to me it's just going to continue to go all over the place. We may never even figure out the secret at this point! Help put me on a path before my mind wanders into the deep dark woods that you all can't follow!

...or perhaps it's to late?
