A/n: Oh hey, I'm alive. I'll have a more in-depth author's note at the end. For now, I'll let you guys read.
Deliverance
"Sorry kid, I filled the position last week."
"You don't have anything I can do?"
"There are plenty of things for you to do here, kid; just nothing I can pay you for."
"Do you know anyone else that might possibly be hiring?" Miko asked, watching as the restaurant owner shrugged, sighing deeply.
"I can't say; this is a good sized town. I'm sure something'll pop up."
"Right…thanks, sorry for bothering you," she said, her voice conveying anything but gratitude as she left the restaurant.
Miko refused to let tears blur her vision as she walked down the empty sidewalk, considering her options. Her life had been lived in desperation before, desperation to escape the claws of a metal tyrant. Now it was in desperation to get enough money to pay for an abortion.
Despite how impossible it seemed, Miko knew that she couldn't live in ignorance. She had refused to believe she was pregnant, that was until she missed her period. Three years ago, she would have never believed she would meet a race of aliens known as Cybertronians, she would have never believed she would've been thrust into their interplanetary war, she would have never believed she would've caught the attention of the Decepticon leader in such a way. Given everything that had happened, Miko knew she shouldn't have been surprised. If there was anything she had learned since coming to the United States, it was that anything was possible and the impossible had found her.
It was as if Satan had crawled out of the depths of hell, raped her, and impregnated her. She felt as though she was carrying the Antichrist within her. But whatever was growing inside her belly, she knew she had to get rid of it.
She had no job, no source of income, no knowledge of how Cybertronians functioned, no idea how to be a mother to a human child let alone a mutated one, no one to help her. In her mind, it was her best interest to terminate the pregnancy. She doubted Megatron would want any part of it—she didn't want a part of it. And she didn't dare ask for help from him anyway, not when she had wanted Megatron to stay the last time and wept after he left.
"Do you know what you've done to me?"
"You are mine, Miko Nakadai."
With a heavy sigh, she sat on a nearby step, debating whether she should just ask Agent Fowler for the money. She wondered if she had the right to ask for reimbursement of some kind to pay for damages she had suffered on behalf of alien warfare. June paid for the majority of her things, willingly agreeing to do so once the military expressed how she should close her bank account so that the Decepticons could not track her that way.
Miko wondered if it was worth it anymore. Perhaps she was better off letting the pregnancy terminate her. She didn't dare ask the Autobots for help, she wasn't sure what they could do anyway. Their technology was nothing compared to what the Decepticons had at their disposal; she would rather not endure their judgmental gazes anyway. After all, what would they think? She, Miko Nakadai, a mere human girl, carrying Megatron's spawn.
"It would be an interesting case study should it ever happen."
"You're lucky you can't get me pregnant. I'm ovulating right now."
To Megatron, it was an anathema; the very idea of siring a child with a human was repulsive, nauseating. He would not be the creator of such a monstrosity, of such an abhorrence. And Miko, he would not have the human he favored disgraced. If she was indeed carrying their spawn, he would see to it that the pregnancy was terminated immediately.
He had no desire for an heir, not when an heir could suffer from the same corruption as he did. Such childbirth was unnatural; the most elite Cybertronians were birthed from the Well, brought into existence by the AllSpark. A child born from a Cybertronian and a human—Megatron couldn't bear the thought. He wouldn't speculate what it could possibly look like. He wouldn't consider names. He didn't care if Miko wanted the child or not.
Miko was his and he wasn't ready to let her go. He knew what was best for them, best for her, and this potential spawn would be a burden, a hindrance, an embarrassment.
"Your soul was wasted when it was placed inside of a human shell. Though, my dear, if I could, I would free you of that curse. You deserve to walk among the gods."
And walk among the gods she would. Since the news of their biological compatibility, Megatron ordered Knock Out to make the completion of the protoform his top priority. Despite this, the Decepticon leader knew that his work couldn't be rushed. But he would have Miko converted, restored into the species she deserved to be but was denied.
From the main computer console, Megatron considered what needed to be done. He would go to Miko soon, he would find out the state of her well-being. However, he was aware that her possible pregnancy had its advantages, advantages that he wished to exploit. If she was pregnant, he would convince her to get help from the Autobots if she wasn't already. He would learn the whereabouts of the Autobot base one way or another, and if a part of him was growing inside her, he would express his desire to be involved and present for the decision making process.
Such a pregnancy wasn't for naught if secrets were to be spilled from misfortune's cup. Optimus would never know what hit him.
Megatron smiled inwardly. Humans, created from the dust of Unicron's shell. He would have his child of Unicron before the bearer of Primus' divine light.
Research had never been Miko's forte and she quickly closed out of the browser on Jack's laptop when she heard June come into the room. Shutting the laptop, she quickly set it aside and scrambled to her feet, eager to avoid the nurse's accusing gaze. With the grace of a stumbling toddler, she made her way for the stairs, but was unable to escape.
"Miko, is everything okay?" June asked.
"Everything's fine," Miko answered casually.
"You haven't gone to see Vince at the hospital for a while…I was just wondering if you were handling things okay right now. What were you doing on Jack's computer?"
"I was looking for jobs," she stated quickly.
"You could still go to college."
"I can't afford it."
"I'll help you pay."
"Ms. Darby, you're already doing too much," Miko remarked, though dejectedly. Not wanting to entertain the conversation any further, she headed upstairs.
June was left staring at the stairs Miko had just ascended, feeling as though something else was bothering her, something she wasn't willing to talk about yet. With a sigh, June sat down where the girl had previously been in the living room. Absentmindedly, she looked to Jack's laptop that had been abandoned.
"No, June," she thought, "Trust Miko for once. She's not looking for trouble, trouble finds her."
But she was unable to convince herself. Tugging the laptop onto her lap, June opened it and watched as the screen immediately lit up, almost glaring at her. "Miko doesn't have anyone else to look after her right now," she told herself, "I am doing this as a concerned parent."
Wiggling her index finger over the touchpad on the laptop, June brought up the web browser and opened up the browsing history to see what websites she had visited recently. The nurse was aware that she was potentially interfering with her son's privacy by doing this, but she told herself that she would not reprimand him for anything she found, if there was anything. She was concerned about Miko, and given how she had been so quick to leave, she felt she was right to be suspicious.
A horrified gasp left her throat as she read the first few websites Miko had recently been to and the Google search she had been doing: plants that cause abortions.
"Oh no…Miko."
When Miko reached the top of the stairs, she was hit with a wave of nausea so strong that it was all she could do to make it to the bathroom. She hardly registered the door had closed behind her as she doubled over the toilet, throwing up what felt like everything she had eaten that day. Once her retching subsided, she stood, flushing the toilet.
With a moan, she went over to the sink where she splashed water onto her face, attempting to calm herself. To get rid of the awful taste of vomit still lingering in her mouth, she quickly rinsed her mouth with mouthwash, spitting the biting liquid back into the sink before wiping her mouth.
Exhausted, she left the bathroom and stepped into her room. Closing the bathroom door behind her, she leaned against it before sinking down and sitting on the floor. It was then a movement caught her eye, causing her to look up. Gasping, she scooted back, pressing herself further into the door. For a moment, she wondered why it was instinct to press against something solid when she felt as though she was in danger.
The glint of a silver smirk distracted her from her thoughts and a raspy voice asked, "Are you ill, Miko?"
"I am dreaming—
"You said that to me before and I assured you that you weren't. Don't make me do the same again."
Biting back the nausea that threatened to sicken her again, Miko stood, facing the demon that had entered her room uninvited. "Let me guess, you came here for a frag," she said.
He laughed, amused. "Normally, yes. However, it is the circumstances—or should I say consequence—of our last encounter that brings me here. Knock Out informed me that biologically, our species is compatible with yours."
Miko watched as the mirth disappeared from his features. The seriousness that consumed him was frightening. Startled, the girl took a slight step back. He knew. Somehow, he knew. She watched as his crimson gaze dropped to her abdomen before looking back up. "Well, my dear, are you carrying our spawn?" he asked, his voice unnervingly soft.
Before she could answer, there was a knock at the door followed by June's muffled voice calling for Miko. "Hold on," Miko called before looking to Megatron. Opening the bathroom door, she gestured for him to go in.
Megatron gave her a look of annoyance, but complied. After shutting the door behind him, Miko went over to the bedroom door and opened it, revealing June. "Miko," she stated, neither of them noticing as the bathroom door cracked open slightly, "Have you told anyone?"
A quizzical look crossed the girl's face. "Told anyone?" she repeated, skeptical.
Ms. Darby gave a sigh before confessing, "I…went through the browsing history on Jack's computer…the one you were using just now. Miko, this is serious—
"Why?" Miko demanded, anger filling her whiskey-colored eyes, "Why can't you mind your business for once?"
"Miko," she said, trying to be rational, "I am a parent; I get concerned about you as much as I do Jack. If you are pregnant—
"You are not my mother!" she yelled, tears blurring her vision, "My mother is in Japan, on the other side of the planet probably worried sick about me because she doesn't know where I am or what is happening. The government told my parents I was dead. I read my own fucking obituary. You didn't help me until I walked here from the Autobot base in the pouring rain."
"Miko!" she hollered, silencing the girl. In a softer voice she asked, "Are you pregnant?"
For a moment, the girl held her silence. Defeat settled heavily upon her shoulders. Perhaps she thought by remaining silent about the issue, by not telling anyone, she would never have to confirm for herself that she was indeed pregnant, that she was expecting the child of the Decepticon tyrant.
"Yes," she finally answered, "I am."
"Does the father know?"
"Yep."
"And who is the father?"
"Megatron."
"Miko that's impossible—
"I haven't been with anyone else in the past few months," she fired back before saying, "You know, I once thought it was impossible for aliens to exist. I once thought it was impossible to get Megatron's attention. If I was you, June, I'd be a little more open-minded about these things."
June narrowed her gaze at her before saying, "We'll talk about this later."
Miko was more than glad to shut and lock the door behind her, only to turn around and nearly collide with Megatron. "Ah, Miko," he said, trailing a claw along her cheek, "A shame you have to put up with such conniving wretches."
She glared at him, "I take it your question has been answered."
"Yes, it has," he replied, smirking, "No need to be upset, Miko. I will not abandon you."
"I don't want this thing growing inside me."
He grinned, "Then we are in agreement. Are the Autobots aware of the monstrosity within you?"
"No. Only you and June."
"You will tell them."
"Tell them?"
He frowned, stooping over her, "Do not question me, Miko. You will tell them, ask for their assistance in terminating our…misfortune. I will accompany you."
"So you're going to use me to get the location of their base?" she asked, "Optimus isn't stupid, you know. He'd never let you in."
"I wish to test where his concern lies, whether it is greater in you or in the secrecy of the location of his base."
"Either way you're going to destroy it and try to destroy the Autobots in doing so—
"Is that a problem, Miko? Is your loyalty not to me?"
"You won't recognize me as a Decepticon as long as I am human. My loyalty doesn't matter, you're going to use me whether I agree or not—
Miko cringed as Megatron seized her chin in his claws and pulled her to him. He observed the features of her face, seeing how her defiance outweighed her fear. He chuckled. "Miko, do you not see your importance to me? From the shell of Unicron you were created; child of Unicron, daughter of darkness, you will help me stomp out the light. I will save you from your humanity."
And it was into silence Miko fell as Megatron pressed his cold maw against hers, sealing his words with a kiss.
"Miko, I am here. Is something wrong?"
"Perhaps, Optimus."
Optimus felt the energon flowing through his lines freeze. Raw fear coursed through him, fear for Miko's safety. Though he hadn't been expecting her to call, when he answered, he certainly hadn't expected Megatron to respond.
"Where is Miko?" he asked, his velvet voice thick with accusation and anger.
His question was met with the rasp of a chuckle. "Miko is with me. Don't worry; I have no intention of harming her, at least, not yet."
"What do you want, Megatron?"
"There is something of importance I wish to discuss with you…at your base, with Miko."
"I cannot allow you to have access to our—
"No? Do you care more about the secrecy of your base than the safety of a human?"
Optimus furrowed his optical ridges in fury. His patience was great, but he would not tolerate Megatron attempting to put a wedge between the safety of his Autobots and the safety of a human. For each he cared greatly, equally. He would not let Megatron try to manipulate the circumstance otherwise. With anger dripping from his voice, he responded, "For both I care equally. I will meet you at another location if you wish to talk, if you are unwilling to do that, then I will extract Miko from you forcefully."
"The circumstance of our discussion involves Miko's health. Something has happened."
"Megatron, what have you done? If she is injured then—
"Have you not realized the danger of this game I play with Miko? There are things about humans that you do not realize. They are far more capable than any of us have known."
"Now is not the time for games."
"From the dust of Unicron's shell humans descended. From his CNA, DNA, the genetic strands that compromise humans, evolved. Together they are not so dissimilar. Together they can be weaved. In Miko's womb I've sired a new life."
Optimus felt his spark sink into his tanks. For a while, he didn't say anything and considered if it could even be possible. Though he was a liar, Optimus did not believe Megatron would lie about something such as this, not when it might injure his reputation and humiliate him. There still stood the possibility that this was an elaborate ploy for the Decepticons to gain access to the Autobot base, but if the situation was not serious, Megatron probably would not have contacted him and would have left Miko to do his biddings for him.
And, if Megatron was indeed with Miko at the moment, he feared he would hold her hostage until his demands were met. But, if this was true, Miko's life could be in extreme danger. He was not sure a human was adept to carrying a Cybertronian child, especially Megatron's. While Optimus did not condone the loss of innocent life, he would not have Miko carry a child that could potentially lead to her death. And to ask Megatron to have her treated on board the Nemesis—that was a death sentence in itself.
Though he was loath to the idea of allowing the Decepticon tyrant into the base, the Autobot leader supposed the best thing to do would be to talk to both Miko and Megatron. The girl required medical care and, though his efforts may prove futile, he was determined to get his enemy to end his obsession with the human. He wanted to know what Megatron was considering knowing that Miko was carrying, he wanted to know his intentions, he wanted to end this once and for all.
He ex-vented heavily, "And you require access because the spawn is partly yours and you would like to know what actions are to be taken?"
"Precisely."
The communication feed was met with static as Optimus considered what course of action to take. The possibility still existed that this was an elaborate attempt to obtain the location of the Autobot base so that Megatron might cripple the Autobots; however, Optimus knew that Miko's safety was equally important. If this was true, then her life was in extreme danger. Whether it was a ruse or not, the Autobot leader knew he could not ignore Megatron's words. "I will debrief my Autobots on the situation," he responded, "And then I will send a groundbridge for you."
"As I expected, Optimus."
As turmoil gripped her heart, Miko looked away from the sterling tyrant as he closed the delicate plastic of her phone and set it aside. She wondered what this war had become, if it was really between Megatron and Optimus or her and Megatron. She saw what he was doing, it went beyond him trying to obtain the location of the Autobot base, it went deeper than the obsession he had with destroying Optimus. He hadn't mentioned Bulkhead, and probably for obvious reasons.
It was more than explicit: she would have to choose now between Bulkhead and Megatron. To let Megatron in the base, she would have to choose who she favored more. One shall stand, one shall fall…wasn't that what Megatron and Optimus had once told one another?
"I love you too, Miko. More than you ever could."
Miko knew now that Bulkhead was right.
She had changed; she wasn't the same person she was when she met the Autobots, when she met the Wrecker. He had loved her as family, as a friend, as a lover. He had loved her innocently, genuinely, and she had fallen for Megatron's wicked temptations and manipulations. She would never be free of him. It was Megatron she would always crave. Bulkhead did not deserve her, she wasn't worthy of his gentleness, of his friendship, not anymore.
Such revelations she would bury deep within his mind. It wasn't like it was before and they could not go back. There was too much damage and they could not rebuild from the ashes of their ruin. The scars and the secrets she hid, they could not be burned away. She could not stand for the Autobot cause when Megatron was berthing her.
Long ago, she sought Megatron's attention. To him she surrendered.
"Miko."
Her name was spoken in a rasp against her neck as powerful arms snaked around her waist from behind. Against the sharp, jagged metal she leaned, pressing her back against his chest and ribbed abdomen. She remained silent as he slid a clawed servo to her abdomen, gliding his metal against the fabric of her shirt. To her waistline he let his claws slip before he slid his claws beneath her shirt.
Miko flinched against the coldness of his servo as he rubbed along her abdomen, as if attempting to feel the fragile life beneath. Such a life, it would die before it could ever take a breath.
"There's a piece of me inside of you, Miko. Were the circumstances different, perhaps such a thing could be cherished."
"You mean if I wasn't human."
He chuckled as he ghosted his teeth over her neck. "Such an error in your genetics; it will be fixed."
"What do you mean?" she asked as she tried to turn and face him, but he held her in place.
"Don't fret, my dear," he stated, maliciousness dripping from his words, "I am to conquer this world. I will be your throne, you will be my crown."
And he reached up, turning her slightly so that her lips met his scarred ones. And as he consumed her, he pressed her tightly against him. The servo that was on her abdomen dropped downwards, sliding beneath the fabric of her shorts. Into Megatron's mouth Miko gasped, flinching slightly as sharp claws fingered her.
"Hold still," he commanded.
But the nausea that still clung to her tightened its grip into a vice. Despite the command he had given, Miko squirmed against him before saying, "Megatron, let me go, I'm going to be sick."
With a growl which voiced his disappointment, Megatron released her and watched as she hurried into the bathroom, closing the door tightly behind her. He didn't believe she was lying; she had gotten sick prior to his arrival. Perhaps the dangers of having the child growing inside her were beginning to be made known. Instead, Megatron waited for her to reemerge or for Optimus to contact him.
The Decepticon wasn't sure how long Optimus would force him to wait, especially when he knew that Miko was at his mercy. Megatron did not intend to hurt her, but Optimus didn't need to know that. Surely Optimus wouldn't allow his Autobots to decide the best course of action for him—certainly Bulkhead would be more concerned about Miko's safety.
A couple minutes later, Miko emerged from the bathroom, exhaustion heavy upon her face. Megatron grinned wickedly before approaching her and taking her in his arms, allowing her to rest against him. "Have you heard from Optimus?" she asked, falling limp against him.
"Not yet, my dear. Do you require a medic?"
"Throwing up while pregnant is normal. It's called morning sickness, but it can happen any time of day. It usually starts around four weeks."
However, before Megatron could respond, Miko's phone vibrated. The Decepticon leader released her so that he could see who was attempting to contact the girl, and when he flipped the phone open, a malicious smile stretched across his face. Optimus had transmitted a set of coordinates via text message and indicated a groundbridge would be opened once Megatron gave notification of his arrival with Miko.
To the girl Megatron turned before lifting her in his arms and leaving out the window. As they plummeted from the window, the Decepticon leader resumed his full size and transformed, his body folding around Miko before he took to the skies. It was a matter of minutes before he arrived at the coordinates Optimus had provided for him. Transforming, he landed on the ground, Miko secured in his grasp. He unfolded his talons as he looked to her. "Call Optimus," he said, "Let him know we are waiting."
And she obeyed, taking her phone that Megatron had returned to her prior to them leaving the Darby residence and called the Autobot leader.
"Megatron?"
"Miko," she replied.
"Miko," he stated, and she could hear the relief in his voice, "Are you harmed?"
"No. We're here. We're ready."
"Understood."
She hung up as a swirling vortex yawned open before them. Miko missed the sinister grin Megatron wore upon his lip plates as he stepped forward, into the groundbridge. The warlord concealed her within his palm as he emerged from the light and into the bunker that compromised the Autobot base of operations. Between the spaces in Megatron's claws, Miko peered out into the place she had once called home. The last time this had happened, the last time Megatron had come to the base, it was to help eliminate Unicron. When he had come, the girl had made herself known to him, desperate for his attention. And now he came on her behalf, his attention ensnared; he came carrying her.
The greeting was similar to what it had been before. The Autobots had their weapons trained on him and Optimus stood before them acting as their guard. "Megatron," the Autobot leader spoke, "I have honored your request. Where is Miko?"
The corners of his scarred maw curled into a smirk. "She is here," he said, unfolding his talons and revealing her in his palm.
"Release her."
"I will release her into the care of your medic," Megatron replied, looking to Ratchet.
Ratchet, in turn, looked to Optimus, who nodded. "Very well," the medic said as he stepped forward and extended his servo to Megatron so that he could take Miko.
Carefully, the Decepticon handed her over while saying, "Confirm or deny for me that which I do not wish to believe." However, he missed the narrowed gaze of disapproval Optimus gave him as he said this.
"I will do my best," Ratchet replied as he proceeded to take Miko over to his makeshift medical bay, "Though I may require June's assistance."
Once Ratchet had Miko secured, Optimus looked back to Megatron before saying, "Megatron, I wish to have a word with you."
He laughed, "But of course, Optimus."
Optimus knew Megatron's laughter was meant to mock him; however, he gestured for the warlord to follow him deeper into the base. Megatron was more than willing to oblige as he followed after the Prime. It was once they were gone that Bulkhead turned to Ratchet before looking to Miko and asking in a gentle voice, "Are you okay?"
But Miko couldn't meet his gaze without feeling guilty. "I'm fine, Bulk," she said quietly as Ratchet stooped over the gurney he had her lying on.
"I'm going to run a scan on you," he informed her, "Try not to move too much. This scan should show whether there is anything of Cybertronian nature alive and growing inside you."
It was into the bowels of the base that Optimus led Megatron before he finally stopped and turned to face his enemy. It was Megatron that looked to him with wicked amusement despite the stern look upon the Autobot leader's pristine face. "So Prime," he said, "Have you dragged me here into the depths of your base to lecture me about my interactions with Miko?"
Again the cerulean optics narrowed as Optimus glared at him, his anger evident. The Prime wished to, more than anything, but that was not the purpose of bringing his sworn enemy here. "That will come in time," he replied, "For now, given that Miko's medical care could be required for a long duration of time, I suspect you will want continuous access to our base. I am willing to bridge you here when you request it, but while you are here, you are to follow a set of rules."
Megatron sneered in disgust, "And pray tell, Optimus. What are these rules?"
"You are to remain under my constant visual while you are here. You may speak with Miko, but only under supervision. You are not to harass her or Bulkhead. Do I make myself clear?"
Red optics furrowed into a glare. "Perfectly," he nearly spat. Such rules, he would break them. He would have Miko in front of his enemy. The thought of doing such brought a smirk to his scarred features. "Is this because you harbor the same sinful thoughts for Miko as I do?"
Blue optics dilated in surprise before the anger returned to the Prime's face. "The thoughts I harbor for Miko do not involve harming her in the same ways in which you have," he responded.
"Tell me, those illicit thoughts of yours, are they still there?"
"That is none of your concern, Megatron."
"Don't be so flustered, Optimus. The girl is spirited, dangerous, wreckless. In her I see what I am not and in me she sees everything she wishes for."
"You are manipulating how she thinks and how she feels—
"I am giving her what she wants."
"You are hurting her."
"Only because she is human."
"It would not make a difference if she was Cybertronian, you would still hurt her."
"And when you revealed to her that you harbored illicit fantasies for her, you did not harm her? You are the one who drove her away. Miko is of the darkness, did you truly believe you could infect her with your light?"
Optimus would not argue this further. Instead he said, "I have given you the rules. This conversation does not need to carry on."
"If so, I wish to be escorted back to Miko."
And reluctantly, Optimus obliged.
Miko tried to avoid the glowing blue orbs that made up Bulkhead's gaze as Ratchet ran the scan on her. Instead she watched as Jack called his mother, telling her that he would groundbridge her to the base. For the millionth time, she wished this wasn't happening and that she had never come to the United States to begin with.
Maybe if she had never wanted Megatron's attention—she shook her head. This was happening for a reason, she couldn't keep going if she believed there was no purpose to this, no hope for this.
All at once, reality crashed in around her. As Ratchet finished the scan and compiled the results, she recognized Megatron's pedesteps coming from within the base. And as he approached, the swirling mouth of a groundbridge yawned open only to reveal June.
"I'm going to puke," she groaned as she stumbled to her feet from the gurney Ratchet had her lying on.
"Um," Jack exclaimed as he quickly looked around for something for Miko to throw up in.
"Not on my floor," Ratchet stated as Jack managed to find the mop bucket and hand it to Miko just in the nick of time. The medic vented a sigh of relief, but such relief was short lived as he watched Optimus and Megatron return from within the base.
"Um…why is she doing that?" Bulkhead asked, looking to Jack.
"Morning sickness probably," June said as she came over. Jack had informed her that Megatron had brought Miko there and she was quick to shield Miko from his optics as she retched into the bucket.
When she finished, she sat heavily back on the gurney. Megatron observed her for a moment before looking to Ratchet and asking, "Well, doctor?"
Ratchet hesitated before responding, "I found a high level of hCG, otherwise known as Human Chorionic Gonadotropin."
"The pregnancy hormone," June confirmed.
"In addition to that," Ratchet continued, "I detected a foreign CNA signature within her. It seems all the elements were aligned to allow this into fruition as Miko is indeed carrying a child. Given that you, Megatron, are the only Cybertronian that has engaged in coitus with her, it stands to reason that you are the sire of the child."
"Terminate it," the warlord said immediately, not caring for anymore medical jargon.
"That is not your decision to make, Megatron," Optimus spoke, his cerulean gaze focused in a glare upon his enemy.
"I don't want it," Miko said, "I've been looking for ways to get an abortion. June can vouch for me."
"It is probably for the best," Ratchet intervened, "A human carrying a Cybertronian child could have extreme complications that could be life-threatening. I would recommend termination as the best option."
"Would Miko be able to see a human doctor in order to have an abortion done?" June asked, "This is not a normal pregnancy and could risk exposing the secret of your existence to others. Guaranteed this is not how you want your secret revealed."
Megatron smirked, not missing how Miko glared at June for saying that. "It's my body," Miko said, "How about I have it done the way I want regardless of your stupid secret?"
"Miko," June remarked as she looked to her, "Abortions are expensive. If we can find a clinic, we might be able to get you the pills necessary. But if the pills don't work, they'll have to use a vacuum suction method. But if it gets into your second trimester, you'll probably have to have surgery to have the child removed."
"And the third trimester?" Miko asked.
"Third trimester abortions, generally, are not legal and extremely controversial unless it is threatening the life of the mother."
"Do you have the necessary funds to pay for this procedure?" Optimus asked.
"Not at the moment," June said, "I've spent a lot of money getting Jack ready for college. Anything I can come up with right now goes into the bills."
However, only Miko noticed Megatron roll his optics in frustration. "All this time spent speculating on how to seal an unborn child's fate is a waste," he remarked suddenly, catching everyone's attention, "Clearly Miko has made up her mind."
With a pause, he looked to Miko. She remembered the look, it was the very same one he held in his optics when he first pinned her against the rock face and forced himself against her. She felt lost, hypnotized. "Come here, Miko. I will provide for you a way," he said.
Once, Optimus had been her unrequited savior. But for Megatron, she would crucify herself. She stood from the gurney and approached the warlord. Vaguely she heard Optimus tell her to stop, but her feet were deaf. Before she or anyone else could react, Megatron shrunk himself to her height.
Into her abdomen he delivered his fist. Breathless, she fell into darkness.
A/n: I apologize for being gone for so long. Good news is I'm done with college now and have my BA. Whoop whoop. Now I have absolutely nothing to do until I can find a job, which is probably going to take forever. So, I'm hoping to get updates on my stories done more regularly, though I can't make guarantees simply because I don't know when I'll feel inspired enough to write. But, I'll put forth an effort. Again, sorry for the wait on this. Please review!
