The next month happened without a hitch. The Day class's students were too afraid to be out of their dorm past dusk in fear of seeing the wolf again. In addition, there were no Night class students roaming about either, since their pure-blood remained in class, which meant that they had to remain there, as well. Rain's swordsmanship improved very quickly, making Yagari fight seriously against her if he didn't want Reaper against his throat. Kaien Cross had started to overview the spars and after that he told Rain her openings, only for them to disappear after a couple of days. It was clear to the vampire hunter and ex vampire hunter that Rain had talent when it came to a swords, however, it didn't meant that her practices with Bloody Rose and Artemis had disappeared.

All would be well, but Valentine's day was quickly approaching. The Day class was becoming bolder, making Rain harder to deal with them. The girls had even started crowding around Moon dormitories gate even at dawn, completely ignoring Rain saying that the Night class was still sleeping. The students dispersed only when the bell for the start of classes rang. What annoyed Rain more than the Day class's students was the fact that Sachiko Yami had completely abandoned his prefect duties ever since she became one. She had brought the subject up many times to the chairman, who only dismissed her saying that there was nothing he could do, since it was a voluntary work with sleepless nights and no pay.

Valentine's day was very annoying for Rain to handle. She had long lost her voice from yelling at the Day class in hopes to get some order in them. Now her voice quiet as mouse's and as a bonus when she tried to talk her throat hurt. Luckily for her Kaien came at dusk to assist her in holding the Day class in line, however, his placid attempts were completely ignored. When the Moon dorm's gate opened, the chairman was toppled over by the girls, while Rain pushed her side away, Artemis drawn to cover more ground. There was chaos around. However, what surprised the human population was that the toffee hair colored vampire said loudly demanded way in a voice strongly laced with annoyance. The Day class scurried away from the road to give Night class pass. Rain envied the vampire, since the students obeyed the noble, while discarded her demanding the same thing.

Once the Night class reached the school after being stopped here and there by girls and boys giving them chocolates, Rain helped her uncle back to his feet. Kaien saw the look of distaste on his nieces face while she was looking at the Day class's students who had yet to disperse.

"I want to talk to you." Rain told her uncle in a quiet voice, trying not to abuse her throat any more. Kaien only nodded his head and gestured her to take lead to his office.

"I want you to erase Yami's memory of vampires and demote him to a common student. There is no point in him being a prefect if he doesn't do his duties." Rain demanded in her forcefully quiet voice.

"But…" Her uncle started only to be intercepted by Rain snarling at him as if she was a wolf or a vampire, clearly annoyed, if not angered. "No 'but's! He hasn't been helping me with the Day class or patrolling even once since I became a prefect!"

"I have received reports of you manhandling the students. You mustn't do that." Kaien deliberately changed the subject to another.

"It is the only way they listen to me. I tried to be nice but they only spit at it." Rain said with strong distaste. "Once they even tried to gang up on me. If the white wolf hadn't appeared, I don't know and don't want to know what they would have done to me."

Hearing this, a frown appeared on the chairman's face. The students had only complained about Rain's harsh behavior, not about a wolf in the school's premises. However, even if they had informed him, there was nothing he could do about it. Kaname had said that the wolf belonged to Arminius, whom he had yet to meet. In addition, the wolf appeared only when Rain was in a serious danger. Kaien would not deliberately put his niece in danger just to draw the duo out.

"So, will you demote Yami to a common student or not?" Rain asked after she had calmed herself down.

"If you want it that much." Kaien gave in. Rain let a smile spread on her lips as she skipped to her uncle and said 'thank you' while hugging him. If she had been taller, she would have kissed his cheek, but her meter sixty centimeters was no match to her uncle's meter eighty four centimeters. Kaien was happy to return the hug. Ever since Rain had became a student they had little time to bound and that get cut short when she started her training. Even though Kaien would start training her soon, it wasn't the bounding he wanted. What he wanted was doing everyday things together, things that regular humans did.

"I better go and patrol. I'm certain that tonight there will be curfew breakers."Rain said, suddenly in a distant voice, letting go of her uncle.

"Be careful." Kaien said hugging the closer before letting her go. Rain nodded her head and took her sword, and strapped it to her hip. Kaien noted the sudden changes in his niece's character, making him think that she might have started developing a split personality; one nice and polite, the other being distant and cold. Though he hoped that it was just her trying to herself again.

As it turned out, Rain wasn't the only one looking for the Day class's students. It was Hanabusa Aido that was stalking about the school's premises.

"Why aren't you in class, Aido-san?" Rain asked in a distant voice, one hand on the swords hilt.

"Why does it concern you?" The vampire asked back, showing no respect towards her.

"If you haven't noticed it yet, I'll elaborate you. I'm the school's prefect and it is my duty to see that others abide the rules." She said calmly, yet still in a distant voice. Hearing the reply, Aido 'che'-ed and glared at Rain. As if the adopted relative of the chairman three years ago weren't a pain enough. He just hoped that this relative wouldn't turn into a vampire, as well. Noting the sudden cold shoulder towards her, Rain pulled out Reaper and pointed the tip of the blade in the vampire's direction.

"Do you even know how to wield it?" The vampire mocked her, advancing towards her, which caused Rain to tense up.

"Return to the class before this becomes messy." Rain told him. She did not want to fight, however, she had no intention of being bitten either. As a reply came an icy attack, which she dodged jumping to the side and dash forward towards the vampire. She made a slash, towards Aido, who only raised his hand with intent to freeze the sword before it could harm him. However, to the surprise of both Aido and Rain, the sword didn't freeze and embedded itself in the vampire's palm, causing him to hiss in pain and his whole arm become numb.

"What kind of a sword is it?" Aido hissed out at Rain, while nursing his arm, blood dripping from his palm.

"An anti-vampire one." Was all Rain replied in a dangerous voice. One attack was enough for both to go in a standstill, observing each other for a while. However, before they could exchange any other attack, a group of vampires surrounded both of them, all glaring at Rain.

"Are you alright, Aido?" Asked the ginger-haired male vampire.

"Does it look like I'm alright? The wound won't stop bleeding!" Hanabusa snapped at the other vampire all while glaring at Rain.

"Go back to your classes. I'd prefer for it not to get too messy." Rain told the vampires in her today's quiet voice, but still loud enough for the vampires to hear it.

"You dared to attack one of us. You thing you can go away unpunished?" Asked the toffee-hair color vampire snapped at the human girl.

"He attacked first." Rain said in her defense all while keeping an eye on the vampires in front of her, and straining her hearing for any moves from the vampire's behind her.

"If that is the case then he got what he deserved." A suave yet cold voice said from behind Rain, which caused to whip around only to see Kuran Kaname with eyes that had lost their brown toning, leaving only red. Seeing the sight didn't allow Rain to relax, on the contrary, it caused her to tense up even more than before. Seeing the pure-blood angry made her understand while all vampires feared him.

"Rain, where did you get that sword?" The pure-blood asked calmly with suddenly unreadable expression on his face.

"Yagari-sensei gave it to me." Rain answered truthfully, daring not to lie to the most dangerous vampire around. The reply caused a frown to appear on Kaname's face.

"It should not have been in his possession." The pure-blood said, frown not disappearing from his face.

"What do you mean?" Rain asked the same time as some vampires called their pure-bloods name in question.

"It was made in a different way than the rest of anti-vampire weapons. It had not reached the hands of vampire hunters before this." Kaname elaborated Rain and the other vampires. Everyone had a shocked expression on their face, including Rain who was looking at the sword with wide curious eyes.

"You should really return to class." Said Rain, snapping out of the daze and then to see Kaname look at her with sad eyes, which had regained their brown tint, and a mask of tranquility on his face.

"You are right, miss prefect, however, I do suggest you find out the origin of that sword." He said and then turned to the vampires of Night class. "Let us go back to the class and not bother the prefect anymore."

The vampires abided their pure-blood but not before glaring at the prefect. Rain looked at the vampires retreating and only when they were out of sight did she put Reaper back in its sheath. True to Kaname's advice, Rain went to find her master to ask about the sword.

"He doesn't know anything about Reaper." A child's voice said behind Rain, making her snap around, Reaper drawn, only to see the golden-haired child with bluest eyes.

"What do you mean like that?" Rain asked cautionly.

"Exactly what I said. I gave him the sword to give it to you." The child answered. This caught Rain off-guard.

"Who are you?" Rain asked causing the child's eyes become sad.

"The question is who are you." The child said the same words he had said in their previous meeting.

"Kaname-san said that this sword was made differently than other anti-vampire weapons."

"That is true. It is a bit bespelled." The child said causing Rain to let go of the sword as it had just bit her.

"Don't do that. It will never harm you, since it recognizes you as its mister."

"What do you mean?" Rain asked wanting to know more.

"It is made from holy silver, embedded with runes to make vampire powers useless against it, a drop of my blood for it to recognize me as its creator, after which came a drop of your blood for it to recognize you as its master. Only in my and your hands Reaper will reveal its true potential." The child said, making Rain even more confused.

"I suggest you be more wary of the vampires in this school, especially the pure-blood. You do not want to make an enemy out of him, for you will make half of the vampire population your enemy. I will not be able to protect you from them." The child said, making Rain pause eyes widening. She looked at the child and asked one word: "Arminius?"

In return the child smiled.

A/N: Finally Rain learns that the child is actually Arminius. *clap, clap, clap*
