Hello Everyone!

I am sorry that this is so late, but I did try to make it a little longer. I will do my best to keep a better pace at updating, but I also want to give you guys quality chapters and long ones too.

I hope you guys like this chapter! Also, I am currently Beta-less, so if anyone would like to beta please PM me.

I heard something shatter as it hit the ground. I turned to the kitchen and saw Dimitri whip around. His eyes wide with shock and surprise. His entire body tense.

"What did you say?" He asked. His accent thicker because of the shock. I noticed he had dropped a glass he was grabbing.

"I said that I think we should have sex," I told him.

He looked at me not moving. His eyes wide and unbelieving. His mouth gapping like a fish. I looked at him curiously. Dimitri was never one for surprise and shock, it was trained out of you at a young age. I must have really taken him by surprise.

"Huh?" He asked after a moment, still not processing what I had said.

"Dimitri, I want us to have sex," I spoke slowly and loudly to make sure he understood and heard me. I watched as his face contracted and the words registered.

"But, Rose, are you sure you are ready?" He fumbled around for a minute before speaking, choosing his words carefully. He moved closer to me, his actions still portraying his surprise. Of all the things I could have said, he was not expecting this one. I wonder why? Did he not want me that way anymore?

"Why does everyone keep asking me that?" I groaned in frustration, I scrubbed my hand down my face. Deirdre kept asking me if I was ready to talk to Lissa. If I was ready to be back at the academy. If was I ready to have a physical relationship. If I was ready to be a guardian. I was so sick and tired of people asking if I was ready!

"Are you sure that we are ready?" Dimitri whispered. I was immediately brought back to the first time we ever talked about sex. He had asked me the exact same question.

It was the day after my fifteenth birthday, I was laying next to Dimitri on the floor as we watched a movie. Yesterday was spent with everyone and today was just for the two of us. I was lucky that my birthday fell on Spring Break this year. I had one more week before we had to return to the academy.

"Dimitri?" I turned to him. He was amazing, after a year of dating he never pressured me into anything. I think a lot of it was because of my age though. Abe barely gave us permission to start dating a little over a year ago, but Dimitri had been a total gentleman.

"Yes, Roza?" He looked at me. I could see the love and devotion in his eyes. And I was sure mine mirrored his. Dimitri was everything to me.

"I know what I want for my birthday," I whispered softly. I had yet to tell him what I wanted, not really sure on how to broach the subject. "I want us to have sex." I didn't think he heard me at first, I was so quiet. I was ready for us to take that step.

"Are you sure that you are ready for that, Roza?" He asked me in shock after a moment or two.

"I am sure, Dimitri."

"Are you sure that we are ready?" He whispered softly. I could see the hunger in his eyes but he would never push me to do anything I didn't want.

"Do you love me Dimitri?" I asked without answering his question.

"You know I do," he seemed surprised and confused. "I would do anything for you."

"Then you tell me, are we ready for this?" I asked him.

He looked at me for a moment before kissing me softly, he pulled away all too soon. "Not yet, sweetie. I want your first time to be perfect." Dimitri was a true romantic.

"Yes," I said thinking back to that day. Lost in my own thoughts for a moment.

Dimitri rushed to me his lips crushing mine. I moaned into his mouth as he pulled my bottom lip between his teeth. Forcing my mouth to open, his tongue requesting entrance. I let him take over the control. His hand tangle in my hair as his mouth covered mine. Tilting my head back to give him more control. My hands went to the hem of his shirt, tugging it loose from his pants. I felt him pull on my hair a little as he pulled my head back for better access. I went to pull his shirt over his head and he jerked back suddenly.

"What?" I gasped out in surprise not understanding why he just pulled away from me. I felt so many emotions, hurt being the main one. My eyes filled with tears. I turned away not wanting him to see how I felt.

"Roza, I will not do this here on the couch or tonight for that matter," his hand cupped my cheek. "This will be the first time that we have been together since it happened. And I want it to be perfect."

I swallowed the lump in my throat. Dimitri was more of the romantic one than I was. He always wanted things done in away that would be memorable. "When do you want to do it?"

"Soon, baby girl," he whispered as he pecked my lips. "I want to worship your body."

"How soon?" I asked. He chuckled softly as he headed back into the kitchen.

"Soon, baby. I need time to plan." He bent down, giving me a glorious view of his ass. Everyone goes on about girls with butts but people always forget about man booty.

I sighed and laid down on the couch. Dimitri laughed but went back to cleaning up the glass he dropped. "Whats for dinner?"

"Food," Dimitri called back to me. He really was perfect for me.

"So, I was thinking that I could come next week for a visit," Abe said to me on the phone. It had been two weeks since Dimitri and I talked about having sex. I was super on edge. We still hadn't made any plans, and frankly I was getting horny.

"I guess, its up to you," I said sighing. Abe always wanted to come when shit was going down. So I was unsure why he wanted to come next week.

"Kiz, I could take you and Lissa for a shopping trip," Abe chuckled obviously noting I was confused.

"I am still not talking to Lissa," I whispered the last part. Lissa and I still weren't talking, every time I made progress she came and pushed me to talk to her. I was done being treated like dirt, I wanted Lissa to realize that just because I was going to protect her didn't mean that she could be moody at me. Abe knew that Lissa and I had a fight but he never was given the details. And in that moment all I wanted was for my daddy to be here.

"Well, thats okay. I can take you shopping! How about it Kiz?" He asked obviously excited. I was Abe's only weak spot. He never showed any emotion to other people. But to me, he was the loving father.

"Sure, Baba!" I laughed into the phone. "What's happening anyway?" It was really starting to get on my nerves that he knew more than me. Did Dimitri say something to him?

"Kiz!" Abe exclaimed drawing out the word. "You have the annual Fall Formal in two weeks! And I want my daughter being the bell of the ball, with a fabulous male escort!"

Abe was flashy. Always had been, always would be. He never went anywhere without making a flashy entrance, it was his style. I guess that's where I got it from. Even though Lissa and I were fighting, I still needed to be the center of attention.

"Oh! I forgot!" I exclaimed. "Daddy! I need a dress!"

"Yes, you do! I will take you shopping, and Belikov can come," Abe grumbled Dimitri's name.

"Thank you! You are the best father ever! When are you arriving?" I asked, knowing Abe he most likely had the tickets already.

"Ah, Kiz, I haven't made flight plans yet. I have a bit of business to take care of first, but as soon as that is done, I will be on my way!" He chuckled darkly. Abe had many business ventures, and by the sounds of it, this was not one I wanted to ask about. It was really strange that he didn't have the tickets though. Abe wasn't a person to ask first. Hmm, weird.

"Alright! Let Dimitri know when you have it figured out." We exchanged goodbyes before canceling the call.

I headed to my afternoon classes, today was the day that we would meet the new Blood Master Level 1. My training started a little over two weeks ago. This was all different. We all were learning as we went, the first two weeks were so strange. And uncomfortable, no one really knew what to do. I was hoping this week would be a little easier.

"Rose!" I heard from behind me, I turned to see Mason running toward me with Eddie in tow. "The scores are in!" Mason said as he gasped for air next to me.

"What?" I asked super confused. Scores? What scores? I could barely keep track of anything anymore, I swear its sexual frustration.

"From our test! Stan's test," Mason said. I stared at him still confused.

"Last months test, the precursor to the qualifier next month," Eddie supplemented. "The one where you kicked Belikov's ass."

"Oh! That test!" I exclaimed. "Sorry guys, with everything going on I forgot. It took them long enough didn't it?"

"Yeah, but it was a long test. Stan was trying to kill us," Eddie groaned thinking about it.

"Scores, are being posted today!" Mason exclaimed. He sounded more anxious than the rest of us. I totally forgot that the test hadn't been graded. Looks like Dimitri is going to have to make good on his bribe.

"Both scores? Combat and written?" I asked.

He nodded his head vigorously. "Yup! Both scores! Though we all know you and Eddie did well on the combat portion."

"Yeah, but I get evaluated every week now too. So don't think its a good thing," I groaned thinking of meeting the new Guardian. The past two had been sexist pigs. I hoped this one would be better, and female.

"Are we allowed to come watch?" Eddie asked. Eddie always wanted to watch people spar. I think it was more so he could learn than anything. Mason was the one who watched for entertainment.

"I am not sure," I said realizing I didn't know the answer. "I can ask though. Where are the scores being posted?"

"The gym, today at four!" Mason said. The warning bell rang signaling that we all had to get our butts moving to class.

The three of us walked to class. Eddie and Mason talking about the test and discussing what would be good scores and what would be bad ones. We all walked into class taking seats in the very back, this was in a college style lecture hall. This was the class that every Senior Novice had, it was kind of like home room. But it was were we had guest speakers, and where we could ask questions. Along with getting break downs of grades in both academic and combat classes.

I noticed Dimitri walked into the room with Alberta, Stan, Hans and my mother. Looks like we were going over grading for this past test. Stan tried to get all of our attentions but with almost four hundred Novices, it was a bit tricky. I saw Dimitri step up obviously frustrated. He put two fingers in his mouth and whistled. Loudly. Everything went silent.

"Thank you," he said. His voice loud and commanding. "I trust you all know why we are here?" He looked around seeing the nods. "Good, Guardian Alto will now explain to you what each score means and how you earned points on your last assessment. Guardian Alto," Dimitri gestured.

Stan moved to the podium set up in the center of class. "As Guardian Belikov stated, we will be going over the scoring of the last assessment. While, this test was not a qualifier, it will show you were you need to study to be able to pass your qualifier," Stan took a breath and let the information sink in before continuing. "The qualifier exam, will be held at the end of next month, the two days before Thanksgiving. Never in the history of St. Vladimir's Academy not had every senior pass the qualifier. The only other school with this reputation is St. Basil's in Russia."

Alberta step forward, "While no novice in the history of St. Vladimir not passed the senior qualifier, we are here to help. Should you need extra help, tutors will be available daily in the library. Along with Guardians from the elementary campus to help your combat. Do not hesitate to ask for help." She took a deep breath before looking around. "In a little over six months, your lives will be on the line. There is no more time to prepare. Remember this, every time you walk into class."

Alberta stepped back and let Stan speak. It was a harsh reality. More than half of new Guardians didn't live through there first year. And in five years from graduation, it would be a miracle to have fifty of us still living. It wasn't just Mori anymore, it was about us as well. We weren't just fighting for their lives, but for ours as well.

"There were two parts to your test, a written and combat portion," Stan began. "As most you know the essay portion, was graded by a panel of five," he gestured to the Guardians in front. "The five of us were that panel. You needed a four out of five survival rate to pass the question. Meaning, you needed four Guardians to determine your charge would live. Any questions?"

Meredith rose her hand, I had known her since we were five. She was dropped off at the academy at five years old. Stan nodded at her. "How many questions were we allowed to miss?"

"You were each allowed three casualties on the written portion. For the qualifier, you are allowed one," Hans answered.

"If there are no other questions, Guardian Belikov, will discuss the combat portion," Stan said moving away from the podium. Dimitri switched spots with Stan, his eyes searching for something the crowd.

"There were four rounds, you were awarded points by how many hits you landed and how many you blocked. These were not pass/fail. You were awarded ten points for taking your opponent down, you were awarded twenty for pinning them, and you were awarded fifty for staking them," Dimitri spoke loudly. His eyes scanning the crowd. I hoped they were searching for mine. "The only way you did not pass the combat portion was if you were eliminated with in the first ten minutes of the first round. Everything above the first round was bonus. Are there any questions?"

Five hands shot up, immediately. There was ten that followed. Shane sat in the front row, looking like he was going to burst if he wasn't called on. Dimitri nodded at him.

"What about Rose? We were only given that she would get special training, whats happening to her?" Shane asked so fast I was surprised I could understand him. Everything was silent as we waited for Dimitri's response.

"Guardian Belikov? Do you mind?" Hans asked stepping forward. Dimitri gestured that Hans was more than welcome. "Hello everyone. For those of you who do not know me, I am Guardian Hans. I am the Head Guardian at Royal Court, along with being in charge of all allocated and promised Guardians, including the Queen's." Everyone went silent, taking in who was standing before them. "Novice Hathaway-Mazur will be graded as all of you have on this past assessment. All of her written assessments will be the same. Her combat assessments, will be overseen by myself and Guardian Petrov. She will have a rotation of Blast Masters and Blood Masters assessing her. At the end of the year her reports will be added and she will be considered for a higher title." Hans spoke with a sense of finality.

"If there are no more questions, regarding the grading we will move on," Dimitri said, hinting that the discussion is over. "Guardian Petrov, will go over the qualifier."

"As stated before, the qualifier will take place the two days before Thanksgiving," Alberta began, in a no nonsense tone. She didn't put up with crap. "The first day will start at nine and end at three. It will be your written portion. You will have exactly one hour to complete each question. Every hour you will be given a new packet of information with space to write, read carefully. Pay attention to detail." Eddie rose his hand. "Castille!"

"Will we be allowed to demonstrate different ways? Or will all the kills have to be with staking?" Eddie asked. I knew from Dimitri's qualifier, in some scenarios it didn't clarify if you had a stake or not so you needed to be prepared. I knew that Dimitri argued this point at royal court, saying that a Guardian on duty or off duty was always armed which is how he passed his qualifier.

"Pay attention to detail, each scenario is detailed out for you. Don't rush but remember to pay attention. Any other questions?" Alberta said. She obviously appreciated Eddie's question. He was a great student. "Guardian Hathaway, the floor is yours."

I groaned as I saw my mother step forward. "Great," I mumbled under my breath.

"As you all know, the combat portion will take place the next day. It will be again from nine to three. There will be five rounds, one ever hour. Standard rules apply, no hitting above the neck . . ." Jannie began.

I shot my hand up, I didn't bother for her to call on me. "But Guardian Hathaway, in this previous exam I was hit about the neck. I understand what happens if a Novice breaks the rule, but what about a Guardian? Or do you think the rules don't apply to you Jannie?"

"Watch your tone, Rosemarie!" I could see the anger trying to blow, but she was keeping it in control.

"I mean, shouldn't the Guardian have a consequence. Injuring a Novice like that can lead to severe concussions, and we don't really need Guardian ranks dropping," I continued on. Ignoring her.

"What do you know about Guardian ranks dropping? You played house with the Princess and your precious father," the anger finally took over. "He raised you to be soft and turned you into a spoiled brat! I should never have allowed you to live with him!"

I felt as if I had been slapped in the face. The pure hatred that she had for me was very apparent. "At least, Abe was a parent to me. Thats a hell of a lot more than you will ever be." I stood up and walked out leaving everyone shell shocked.

I found myself in the church after leaving class. I needed peace and this seemed to be the only place I could find it. I sat down in one of the last pews and just looked around. I noticed that voices were coming from the upstairs attic. Lissa and Christian used to use that as their love nest. I hoped they wiped it down before people were up there.

I leaned my head back and closed my eyes reflecting on my life. I had an amazing childhood. Abe was the perfect father. He always wanted what was best for me. I had a second family with the Belikov's, sisters. I did well in school not great, I was a little bit of a party animal. I never really wanted to be a Guardian, living in someone's shadow. I wanted to teach. But after the accident, I was bonded to Lissa. I was expected to be her Guardian. It was ridiculous, how my wants and needs were always going to coming last to hers. I wished so many times that I didn't have the bond, so I could turn to Dimitri and tell him that we could runaway.

"Little Dhampir!" I heard exclaimed from the other side of the room. I looked up to see it was a lot lighter in here than it was earlier. Adrian stood on the other side of the church with the priest, I think his name was Father Andrew. They looked like they had come from the attic.

"Adrian, hey!" I said to him as he came closer. "I haven't seen you in forever!"

"I know! I got in about a week ago but I have been spending a lot of time with Lissa," he said. "Word has it that you two aren't speaking?" He quirked an eyebrow at me.

I shook my head looking away. While I had known Adrian longer, Lissa was a royal and he was expected to make certain time for her. That and he wanted to discuss Spirit with her. "Yeah, so what are you doing at the church? I am surprised its still standing." It wasn't unknown that Adrian was the ultimate sinner. Though he stopped the drugs and alcohol, he still used sex as his escape.

"Haha, very funny!" He rolled his eyes at me. "I was actually looking at some original journals about Vladimir and Shadow-Kissed Anna. She was his guard."

"Huh? Shadow-Kissed Anna? Whats that mean?" I asked completely confused. Thats a weird thing to call someone.

"I am not sure but I am still going through stuff, if I have any information about the bond I will tell you!" He seemed super excited.

"You look really good Adrian," I told him. He really did. For the first time in years he didn't reek of alcohol. His skin looked healthy and he had out on a bit of weight. His eyes were a vibrant green again. And he was really cleaned up, no more hipster.

"Thanks, Little Dhampir! Join me outside?" He asked pulling me along without waiting for an answer. "Smoking is the last substance that I use. I am working on every month cutting back one a day. Slow process but its working. I have gone from two packs to one pack."

I roll my eyes and join him outside. The faint smell of cloves as he lights up a cigarette. "What time is it?" I ask realizing it looks late in the day.

"I think classes are getting out in half an hour. How long have you been at the church?" he asks me as he takes a long drag, moaning in pleasure.

"Umm, I guess almost two hours. Jannie is here," I scrubbed a hand over my face. Adrian liked his parents about the same amount I liked Jannie. We understood each other that way.

"Ah! Speaker?"

"No, grader. Going over the qualifier next month," I looked anywhere but at him. Adrian and Dimitri were the only two who knew I never wanted to be a Guardian. But since what happened to Lissa its expected I will be hers. Stupid bond.

"Mori should be able to fight," Adrian said suddenly.

"Careful, Lord Ivashkov, thats treason," I told him giggling. Mori using magic to fight was

completely forbidden. It was punishable by death if found out. But it would definitely make Guardian lives easier.

"Oh who cares! Tell the Queen to execute me!" He said laughing. Adrian was the favorite grand-nephew to the Queen. He could do anything and say anything without getting in trouble.

"Rose!" I heard from behind me. I turned to see Dimitri jogging towards us. "Where have you been? I have been looking all over for you."

"I was in the church," I told him. "Sorry, I just needed to get away."

"The one place I didn't look," he grinned at me. "Glad to see you are okay. Adrian, its good to see you!" Dimitri reached across and shook Adrian's hand.

"Cradle-Robber," Adrian grinned around the cigarette he was smoking. "How have you been?"

"Good, good," Dimitri shrugged. "Things are getting exciting around here. I am sure you heard."

"Actually, I haven't. I did hear that the Jannie Hathaway was here thought," Adrian looked at me before stomping out the cigarette.

I sighed. "She's just so, ugh!" I crossed my arms over my chest. Frustrated beyond belief.

"Rose, I know you are frustrated. But you still need to regard her with respect during class time hours," Dimitri said running a hand through his hair. I could tell he was frustrated, but I wasn't sure with who. I liked to think he was frustrated with her and not me.

"I wasn't rude!" I exclaimed. I really wasn't. I was just asking a question.

"Rose, you basically told her in front of everyone that she broke a rule when you fought and that she was a terrible parent," Dimitri said to me, pointing out the obvious.

"Whats your point? She insulted me first, and I had to point out the rule. Its important and you know that," I told him frustrated. I crossed my arms over my chest and pouted.

"Wow, you guys fight like an old married couple. I can just feel the sexual tension," Adrian said laughing.

"Ugh!" I groaned walking away in a huff.

"What did I say?" I could hear him ask Dimitri. I didn't hear what Dimitri said but I was frustrated. Sexually frustrated. And I was pissed at Dimitri.

I head to the gym and start running laps. I needed to blow off steam, I wish Dimitri and I could just have sex. I would prefer to do that than running. Hmmm, being sweaty with Dimitri in bed. We could get our morning cardio in. I had been running more often because I was sexually frustrated, every time he touched me my mind went to the gutter. I swear I haven't been in this good of shape ever. I worked out twice as hard.

I kept running when I noticed a strange man watching me. He was tall not as tall as Dimitri but still tall, and large. But muscular large. I ran towards him and noticed he must be the new Blood Master Level 1. He was cute too. And he couldn't be that much older than Dimitri, probably about twenty-six.

"Hi," I said out of breath. "Can I help you?"

He looked me up and down. Even though it was getting cooler, I still only ran in leggings and a sports bra. I would get hot in a shirt. With all the running I had been doing and the extra trying, I was starting to develop a six pack, which he could easily see.

"I am Guardian Chase, I am looking for Rose Hathaway," he told me. He was clearly checking me out. I knew I looked good. Muscular, but not overly so and slightly sweaty. My breasts pushed up and together by the sports bra, showing my ample cleavage. I had a bigger chest than most Dhampir's.

"Hathaway-Mazur," I said.

"Huh?" He looked at me confused.

"It's Rose Hathaway-Mazur," I told him.

"Oh! Do you know where I can find her?" He asked me.

"Possibly," I said smiling. I was flirting just a tad. I could feel Dimitri behind me. I had a sixth sense when it came to him. I always knew when he was there.

"Do you mind helping me? I am afraid I might get lost," he flirted back.

I through my head back and laughed. "I don't know if I can be much help," I smirked at him.

"Why's that?"

"Because you are looking at her," I winked at him.

"Well its a pleasure to meet you!" He said as he took my hand and kissed the top of it. I smiled at him and bit my lip. I was mad at Dimitri and I wanted to flirt a bit with him.

"I hope your travel was good and that we have treated you well here at St. Vladimir's," I grinned at him. Flirting didn't really hurt, right?

"My travel was long, but so far I like St. Vladimir's. Especially the lovely, Rose Hathaway-Mazur," He grinned right back at me.

Dimitri cleared his throat from behind me. "Guardian Chase, I am Dimitri Belikov. I will be administering your mid year test and then submit my recommendation to Guardian Hans." He pushed his hand out to shake Guardian Chase's. They shook hands and Dimitri seemed to be squeezing it harder than necessary.

"It's good to meet you Guardian Belikov! I look forward to working with you!" He seemed in awe of Dimitri. Most people looked up to Dimitri.

"I look forward to working with you as well. Rose, did you run your laps?" Dimitri asked me. Clearly writing off Guardian Chase.

"I did fifty."

"Good. Why don't you go stretch and you and Guardian Chase can go spar," Dimitri said to me.

"Do you need help stretching Rose?" Guardian Chase asked me.

"I will help her stretch," Dimitri said in hard voice. Possessive much?

"Thank you for the offer, Guardian Chase. I look forward to training with you," I told him smiling with a little wink. "Comrade, I will meet you in the gym." I nodded at them and walked toward the gym. I put a little swing in my hips as I walked for their benefit.

I walked into the gym and got everything set up for training before stretching. I stretched everything out but my hamstrings waiting for Dimitri. Who still hadn't come into the gym. Hmm. I wondered if people are asking questions about the grades. They should be posted by now. I quickly transitioned into doing some yoga poses. I had done a couple classes when Lissa and I were on the run but hadn't really kept up with it. I could feel my muscle pulling in a delicious way.

My body was twisting through a set that made me feel super good when I heard the gym doors open.

"Oh fuck," I heard some whisper out.

"Guardian Chase please be professional. This is a school," I heard Dimitri say. "Rose, have you stretched fully?"

"Everything but my hamstrings," I said as I finished up my yoga set. I laid on the ground. "I am ready when you are Comrade."

Dimitri came over to me as I lifted one leg in the air. He pushed my leg back into me stretching my hamstrings. I groaned as I felt my muscles stretch in a delicious way. He switched legs and gave me a lustful look.

"Thank you, Guardian Belikov," I said to him as I stood. "Where do you want me Guardian Chase?" I asked giving him my man-eater smile.

"Anywhere you will have me," I heard him mutter softly. "Umm on the mats is fine. We will spar and I can get an idea of where you are at," he cleared his throat.

"Sounds good!" I winked at him moving to one side of the mats.

"Oh Guardian Belikov! I have a question," Meredith said as she poked her head into the gym. "Its about the results!"

I heard Dimitri groan as he walked outside to answer more questions. Results day was the worst for Guardians. Everyone was asking why certain points were awarded or why they weren't awarded. But no one could seem to catch a brake. If you were near the postings you were roped into answering questions. And it was going to be like this for the next few days.

"Well Novice Hathaway-Mazur are you ready for me?" Guardian Chase asked winking at me.

I laughed. "Oh Guardian Chase, you couldn't handle me!" I got into position and waited for him to make the first move. Today would be a testing day. Get a feel for one another and see what I needed to work on.

We sparred for a long time. Neither of us being able to pin the other. It was a series of kicks and punches not stopping. We were pretty evenly matched. I could feel myself fatiguing. After training this morning, class all day, and then the running it was bound to happen. I kept up my pace never letting him get the upper hand. I would not be able to let myself fatigue. I needed to be able to keep going until it was done. It was a matter of life or death.

I vaguely heard the door open and close but I was concentrating on Chase. I blocked everything out as I fought him. For a second, I looked up when I noticed two people in the room. The next thing I knew I was on my back. Guardian Chase pining me, both of us panting and sweaty.

"Wow!" I heard someone say. I looked behind me and saw Eddie standing next to Dimitri. Who looked like he was ready to kill someone.

"Good job, Rose," Guardian Chase said as he helped me up.

Eddie rushed over to us as Dimitri was called outside for another question. "You guys were fighting for almost two hours! That was insane!" Eddie said.

"Yeah, well I guess we are evenly matched," Chase said as he gave me a wink. I could hear the double meaning in his words. "You should come and watch tomorrow! If Rose doesn't mind, maybe you can join in. You are?"

"Eddie Castile, and I would really appreciate that!" He shook Guardian Chase's hand to shake. The two of them chatted for a minute before Eddie left.

"So you are beautiful, feisty, and fight like a goddess," Chase said to me. "I wonder if that passion translates to the bedroom. Hopefully I can find out. Would you like to go to dinner with me?"

"I am flattered really, but I am already taken," I said to him as I dumbed my water over me to cool down.

"I am sure I have more to offer than some boy," Chase said licking his lips as he looked at me. He took off his shirt as if to punctuate his statement. I couldn't deny that he was attractive.

"Trust me, he is all man!" I said. I turned to walk out and I saw Dimitri standing there. He looked as if he was ready to decapitate Chase. "How long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough," his voice was hard and made his accent thicker. "Chase, before you leave today I want you to run eighty laps. There is a workout posted on the board in the weight room, go through it twice. Tomorrow you and I will train in front of the advance combat class. It will be a good learning experience for them."

I walked toward Dimitri as he finished talking and he lead me out of the gym. "Are you mad?"

"Your father arrived about an hour ago. He wants to have dinner with you," Dimitri said ignoring my question.

"Okay. Are you coming?"

"No, I have a late shift. Don't wait up." His voice was hard. He walked away not looking at me.

"I don't know why he got his panties in a wad! I told Chase I was taken!" I bitched to Abe the next day. I was supposed to be in Stan's class but I decided to skip. "Hey, why did you come early?" I asked.

"Kiz, Dimitri is just a little jealous. And I wanted to see how you were doing. I heard what happened with your mother," Abe said giving me a look.

"Whatever. Why is he jealous? I should be the one upset! We haven't had sex in two years and now he is saying we still have to wait! Ugh! The nerve of that, cheap foreign labor," I let out a frustrated scream.

"Wow, little girl. I really hope you and Lissa fix things soon because, hate to break it to you, I don't want to hear about your sex life," Abe laughed before shuddering.

"Sorry, old man!"

"Sir?" Pavel, Abe's head of Guardians, interpreted. "We have clearance to go tonight."

"Go where?" I asked super confused.

"A special treat for you." Abe waved me off.

"Pavel! Please tell me!" I begged looking at him giving him the best puppy eyes. He turned away immediately.

"I am sorry, Rose." He walked out of the room so fast.

"Abe! Please!" I begged him. He was a lot harder to get information out of.

"Nope, just stop asking. You will find out soon enough." I hung out with Abe a little longer before leaving for my last class.

After class, I went to training and ignored both Chase and Dimitri. They could suck my dick for all I cared. After my conditioning workout I got ready for the big night, or day, out with my father.

"Rose, I am sorry." I whipped around to find Dimitri staring at me as I put on my make up. I was standing there in a white lace bra and white lace boy shorts. His favorite pair.

"I don't know why you got mad," I said not looking at him. I turned back to the mirror to finish putting on my mascara and lip gloss. I rarely got to look nice but when Abe was in town I always played the part of the spoiled rich kid.

"He could offer you more, and I was scared you would say yes. And I don't know. It's just that sometimes I feel like you don't want to be with me because of everything that happened," He put his hands in his pockets and looked away.

"That's so not true!" I exclaimed. "I love you Dimitri. And nothing will change that."

"I love you too, Roza." He smiled at me showing all of his sparkly white teeth.

I pulled out my favorite cherry lip gloss, which was also Dimitri's favorite. "Damn, looks like I am running low." I said as I scooped at the sides to put enough on for today.

"Remember the cabin?" Dimitri asked ignoring my comment about lip gloss. I nodded at him to continue. "Next weekend, I want you to meet me there. For the whole weekend, just the two of us. Alberta said I can have it off."

"Sounds really nice," I looked up at him and smiled. With everything that had been happening, we hadn't really had a chance for just the two of us.

"Let's go meet Abe, we are already running late," Dimitri said as I pulled on a cute navy sweater dress that hugged my curves, with brown boots. It was light enough that I wouldn't get hot but warm enough that I wouldn't get cold. I grabbed my person before leaving.

The two of us walked toward the front of academy. It was around ten at night for us, but ten in the morning for human schedule. I could make out two black SUVs at the front of the gates with a whole bunch of people standing by.

As we got closer I could start to make out people. I noticed, Pavel, Abe, Alberta, Stan and another Guardian I didn't know. And I saw Adrian and Christian. But someone was behind them. I couldn't tell who. As we got closer I noticed who it was.

"Oh fuck no!" I exclaimed. Standing behind Christian was Lissa.
