A/N: Here is the tenth chapter. We finally move on from Oakfield and onto Westcliff.
All The Missed Moments
Summary: A collection of drabbles, from the heartwarming and romantic to the sad and tragic, from my last playthrough of Fable 2.
*A Little Feeling*
Sparrow cursed herself as she walked through the mess that was called Westcliff. Rain was pouring down from the grey skies above, soaking her, and she grumbled as mud splashed over her boots. 'Dammit. Cleaning this mud off is going to take all day.'
She wrapped her cloak firmly around her body, shivering. She was soaked, she was worn out from fighting Balverines and bandits along the way, and very, very on edge.
Hammer didn't help, either.
The former monk loved the atmosphere of the place. She cackled with laughter every time a thug made his way over to her, smacking him aside with one powerful swing of her hammer. "You buggers will have to try harder that!"
Noticing Sparrow being unusually quiet, she gave the Hero a nudge. "Oi, what's wrong with you? You've been really quiet since we made it to Westcliff."
Sparrow gave a shrug of response. Her reason to dislike the region was mainly because of how utterly alone she felt. It was populated by men and women who gave her leering looks and whistle, and she felt uneasy, as if someone would try something to her any minute.
And she hated it.
"Bloody hell, you're a real downer." Hammer sighed, resting her weapon on her shoulder. "Come on, what's bothering you?"
"I don't like it here. Not one damn bit," Sparrow answered, her eyes and ears aware of nearly everything going on in the camp.
"You're just imagining things." Hammer brushed it off with a wave of her hand.
"Maybe," Sparrow sighed. "But my instincts tell me this isn't a place I'd want to be."
Maybe Hammer was right; so far, none of the thugs had done anything apart from give her leering stares.
Maybe she was being overly paranoid. But it wasn't easy for her to shake off that feeling of uneasiness.
Sparrow shook her head in an attempt to clear it. She couldn't dwell on a little feeling if she was to succeed in the Crucible.
A/N: The Spire Arc is one of my favorite parts of Fable 2, and that's where we'll end up after I complete Westcliff. See you soon!
