10. You'll Be In My Heart
Heartbroken, Juliet ran away through the tall grass and plants that haven't been mowed down yet, she was heartbroken and scared. They were in grave risk on getting discovered, that was her greatest fear. Gnomeo was running after her, to talk things out as he cried her name to stop but she was still angry at him as she continues to run away from him. Soon she makes it to the pond and sat down on the edge with her knees up and her arms crosses, in anger and sadness.
Soon Gnomeo finally catch up to her "Juliet, listen to me, please" he starts, getting closer to her, taking her hands.
"Gnomeo... I can't" she pulls her hands and looks away from him, slightly angry.
He kneels down and sits next to her but she still looks away from him. "I do have an answer" he says, taking her hands again.
"Alright, I hear you" she says, still looking away.
"You already know my answer, Juliet" he puts his finger under her chin, turning her head to face him.
"I don't understand what you mean, Gnomeo" she frowns.
"I mean is that I love you so much that I would risk even my life for you" he smiles as he dried up her tears with his thumb.
"I would do the same if it was necessary" she whispers.
"Shh, there, there, it's ok" he pulls her in his arms as he strokes her back, having her head against his chest and starts singing softly to her.

When he finishes, Juliet looks up at him and they kiss. Gnomeo holds her tight in his arms as the world vanished behind them. They completely forgot about the argument supposedly was the gardens. How can they pay attention to the real world if it was only filled with hate and anger? All they wanted is to escape all that and live their love, freely without consequences or anybody seeing them as traitors. From the beginning he knew this was insane but from the moment her saw her, the moment he got mesmerized by her eyes and her beauty, he doesn't how to hide his feelings. That's why he frowns by at thought in his mind which she notices.
"Gnomeo? What's the matter?" she asked, looking up at him, pulling away from his embrace.
"Well, I have been thinking about the future. And I know this may not be the perfect time but I have to tell you something" he says, nervously as she pulls him back on his feet.
"You can tell me when we head back? They must be worried about us" Juliet walks away but Gnomeo didn't move from his spot "Gnomeo. Come on!" she slightly whines, walking back to him.
As she came back to him, Gnomeo pulled out something from inside his waistcoat, without her noticing. "Juliet, look, I know you must be angry with me. But I have been thinking it long and hard. I even talked about it with a pillow. And the pillow said "Go! Do it, man! Tell her" he said, confusing her a little.
"Ok, I don't quite understand what you're saying?" she says, confused.
"The point is that I bought you this" he holds up a small box in front of her.
Juliet froze in place with her jaw open in shock. It was a beautiful sliver ring with a shinning blue diamond in the middle of the box. Juliet was still in shock as she tried to find the right words to say.
"Are you ready for this?" he asked her as he hold the ring up to her.
"I... I... don't understand?" she mutter, still shocked
Then Gnomeo got down on one knee while holding the ring and her hand. "Juliet, my love, will you marry me?" he asked, meaning it with all his heart.
Tears of happiness came out Juliet's eyes as she covers her mouth with her hand by all the excitement until she finally answers.
"Yes. YES! Of course, I'll marry you. Oh, Gnomeo, my love" she hugs him tight, crying on his shoulder, making him smile as well. Gnomeo slid in her ring on her finger, he kisses her again.
"I love you so much, with my soul" she whispers, nuzzling her face against his.
"Listen to me very clearly when I tell you this..." he smiles but then gets cut off.
"And very well you're going to listen to me, imbecile!" Tybalt burst in and punches Gnomeo in the face! Juliet gasps in shock and she pulls him back up.
"Tybalt NO! What's the matter with you?! What are you doing here!?" Juliet steps in between and stands in front of Gnomeo, to protect him.
"What am I doing here? No, Jules what are you doing here? With this wretch?" he yells, tightens his grip around her shoulder.
"How did you find me, Tybalt?" she pulls away, furious.
"That's doesn't matter. What you have to do know is go back to the Red garden!"
"You don't have to tell me what to do, Tybalt. You're not the boss of me!"
"Well, see about that. I'm older and stronger than you!"
"But I'm smarter and sneakier" she snaps back
"And you forgot crazy! Since when do you like to hang out with our enemies? And no matter how much you do Kung-Fu and tomboy stuff, the real man in the garden is me. And you're coming with me right now!"
"Don't touch me, Tybalt!" she struggles against his grip
"LET'S GO!" he starts dragging her away
"Didn't you hear her? DON'T TOUCH HER, IMBECILE!" Gnomeo pulls her back and stand in front to protect her from him, not caring he could get hurt.
"And who are you tell me what to do, Blue rat?" Tybalt grabs his shirt collar, in rage, about to punch me again
"The one who defends this girl with his life" Gnomeo yelled, pushing himself away from him.
"YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER!" Tybalt punches him again, nearly breaking his jaw.
"TYBALT, STOP IT!" Juliet screamed in horror
Gnomeo and Tybalt fight because he sees Gnomeo with his cousin and he ends up dead by knowing it. They both start swinging their fists at each other, going right directly to the face and the stomach to see if either one of them gives up.
"GUYS! Gnomeo, stop! Quit hitting him, Tybalt! STOP!" Juliet tries to separate them but Tybalt pushes her away and made her hit the ground really hard and it was difficult to get back up. As she tries to get back up, she watches the guys still fight. They soon fell to the ground, kicking the other in the guts. The fighting was so brutal that it ended up the alley until Tybalt pulled up Gnomeo by his shirt collar and held up his fist to punch him.
"Messing with my garden is one thing. But messing with my family is personal" he growls at him, wanting to punch him again.
"So, you're gonna be upset because I'm in love with your cousin?" Gnomeo yelled, making Tybalt furious again.
"I'm going to make you eat those words, Blue boy!" Tybalt punches his face again. Tybalt yanked the cord and drove directly toward Gnomeo. Juliet ran out into the alley to try and stop the fight again. She saw Tybalt shooting rocks from the Red mower at Gnomeo. Suddenly, Benny came out once he heard the commotion. Gnomeo lay down on the ground, he got shot in the arm and he groan in pain. Benny pulled Gnomeo back up but held him away from the Reds and Juliet but Gnomeo still had the fury in his eyes. "Let go of me, Benny! LET GO OF ME!"
"Stop, Gnomeo. Just stop before it gets worst" Benny pulls him but Gnomeo refuses.
"Where is she? Where's Juliet?" he asked, groaning in pain
"Who? Who are you talking about, Gnomeo?"
"GNOMEO!" Juliet cried, running to him
"Juliet!" Gnomeo smiled, relieved she was ok as he protects her in his arms in a tight embrace.
"Are you hurt? Are you alright?" she asked, panicking and worried about him, noticing the wound on his arm.
"Yeah, it's just a little scratch" he said to calm her down.
"And who is she, Gnomeo?" Benny asked him, giving Juliet a glare.
"Calm down, Benny. She's..." but then Gnomeo was cut off by somebody even worst. They turn to see Lord Redbrick and Lady Blueberry coming out of their gardens, along with their clans.
"Can somebody tell what the meaning of the scandal is?!" Lord R screamed in anger, noticing his daughter with a Blue.
"I can tell you that, Dad. I can explain what happened..." Juliet stop up, protecting Gnomeo.
"Tell me who this boy is, Juliet! TELL ME!" he cuts her off
"He is..." she starts but gets cuts off again
"No, Juliet. I'll tell them" Gnomeo step in, standing in front of her to protect her. "Lord Redbrick, I am in love with your daughter"
"What? What foolishness are you talking about, boy?" he asked, growling.
"No, it's true, Dad. I love him!" she screamed as she hugged her future husband, shocking everybody, especially her dad.
"Let go off my daughter right now!" he demanded in anger
"I won't. She wants to be with me" Gnomeo glare, holding Juliet tighter in his arms.
"LET GO OF HER, I SAID!" he yelled, furious again
Lord Redbrick and the Reds charged at the couple as Juliet stood behind Gnomeo, assuming the worst and knowing that this was end for them. Everybody knew their secret and they'll be torn apart forever. With an amount of strength in him, Gnomeo broke free of the scandal and grabbed Juliet by her waist and threw her over his shoulders and he started running down the alley. Lord R goes in an explosion rage as he watched that wretched Blue takes his daughter.
"AFTER HIM! HE'S KIDNAPPING MY DAUGHTER!" Lord R screamed, boiling in anger.
All the little Red gnomes go after the couple while sling shooting Gnomeo with rocks, trying to hit him but they were also careful not to hit Juliet. Soon, Lady Blueberry and all the Blue gnomes started chasing after them too. Juliet held on to Gnomeo from his back as he ran. She was getting a bit dizzy by all the jumping and running; she sees that her Dad and the Reds were catching up to them. They were close and filled with anger and hatred. She taps on his shoulder and he looks at her as he continues to run.
"Gnomeo, they're right behind us" she inform him, worried and scared
"I know. Hold on to me tight" he whispers and she wraps her arms around his neck, tighten her grip
When they reached the end of the alley, nearly crossing the street. He saw that there was one way out to escape, he couldn't go any further or he and Juliet could get hurt. He looks back at the crowd as they got closer with anger in the eyes. Gnomeo soon puts Juliet back down and held her tight in his arms as they watch the crowd get closer to them.
"What do we do now?" she asked him, afraid
"I don't know, Jules. But whatever happens never deny that I will always love you. And you'll always be in my heart, my Red"
"And I love you with all my heart, my Blue" she tears up a little and they share a loving kiss.
"Let go of my daughter!" Lord R order, furious as the couple broke apart.
"I will not let you kill him, Dad!" she stood in front of Gnomeo to protect him.
"GET AWAY FROM HIM, JULIET!"
But then from out of nowhere, Gnomeo got pushed into the streets by the little red gnomes and Tybalt! Where all the cars were rushing at full speed. Juliet wanted to jump out ther and save him but her father held her back by both her away, dragging her away from the edge. The only thing she could do is watch how her love was in danger and she couldn't do a thing to save him. suddenly, by hearing a smashing sound followed by smoke and it made Juliet's heart shatter in pieces as the smoke cleared up. All was left in Gnomeo's spot was a small pieces of blue in the streets.
"Gnomeo? NO!" she screamed, feeling her heart shatter in pieces as her love.
Juliet collapsed to the ground, bursting into tears. Crying her eyes out like she never thought she cried before. She didn't care of the Reds and Blues were watching her as a traitor. Her love for him was much big than her loyalty to the Red garden. Plus, that was all in the past but she felt that this was her punishment by defying he place as a Red. She felt like if she got shot in the heart with a bullet. And that's what she wanted at this moment. To die and end all her suffering.
Juliet's POV
And right before my eyes, my life ended in an instant. I have watched the love of my life die in front of me. And I couldn't anything to save him which made me felt useless. If only I could done something earlier. Now that everybody knows the truth. They all know he and I are lovers who betrayed our families to love eachother. But up to here my strength has gotten because I didn't have any more in me to keep fighting. The secret is out. We don't have to hide anymore but it meant we had to be separated. And the punishments were grave, especially for me. Gnomeo only was watching out for me and I let him down. Death will be my punishment just by falling in love with my enemy. I didn't mean death as in my own but death as in taking my love away from me for eternity. I have lost all of my strength to keep fighting for this forbidden love. And all hope of ever getting healed by this massive wound in my heart and soul. I understood why he did what he did now and in the past. He didn't want to hurt his family. And for protecting me, he had to hurt me where it hurt me the most. But now I guess I'd rather be hurt than feel nothing at all. It's a quarter after one. I'm all alone and I need him now and I said I wouldn't call. But I'm a little drunk and I need him now. To think, everything was going to well and beautiful in the start. To think, I was engaged to him on being his wife but I guess my dream of being in white and walking down the altar and into the arms of my future husband have banished like if I awoken from a cruel dream. He was gone from my life and I will never see him or hear his sweet voice ever again, and less kiss his sweet lips that were filled with love every time I felt them against my own. This was the end of us. This love story between a Red & Blue has ended forever. But either in the real world or wherever he is, Gnomeo will always be in my heart... always.
Oh, my poor girl! This is just like in the movie but with a little of my version. What u guys think? Good? Bad? Is he dead? Will she survive the pain? Stay tune to find out! ;)
I had to finish this quick since school starts this week again, for the next 5 more months. But that doesn't mean I won't forget you guys. In fact, I'm almost done with the next chapter of my Zorro story. It will be action and dramatic at the same time and exciting, don't forget exciting!
Anyways, I have to go to bed now to get up early tomorrow!
