"So, Maya," Aryn said tentatively, "What... what's been happening, in your life?"

"Well..." Maya frowned. This was incredibly strange. "I lived in the woods. I visited Neverland a bit in my dreams. Second curse brought me here. Found some people, they were nice and they took me to Granny's."

"Oh," said Aryn. "I came with the first curse."

"Oh, so you had a false memory?"

"Well, yeah, a bit. I basically just had my real story put into this world's terms, and lived in a foster home instead of an orphanage."

"What did happen to you, Aryn?"

"I got put in an orphanage. Then I ran away and learned sword fighting from a knight in exchange for letting him pretend I was his daughter for something. Then I got put back in the orphanage, but I ran away again in this world."

Maya frowned. How could she have let such a life befall her sister? Then again, she realized, had the life she lived been much better? Would Aryn have preferred it? At least they would have been together. "I love you, Aryn."

"I love you too, Maya. Can you... can you tell me what our parents were like?"

"Henry, you've been dating a girl?!"

"Mom, I-"

"Henry -"

"I'm sorry," Maya interrupted.

Regina looked at her. "Why would I be upset with you? I don't actually mind Henry dating, I'm just upset that he didn't tell me."

"What?" Henry asked.

"I could have given you tips."

Henry raised his eyebrows. Maya shot him a questioning glance, which he responded to by mouthing, "I'll explain later."

"So no one's in trouble, then?" Maya asked.

"No. Henry, come in. Maya, see you around, I suppose."
