Two weeks had passed since Natalya and Berserker had attacked, and by then Donald and Archer had to leave us to proceed on an assignment for Alice. Not that I bothered to stop them really I mean, how could I really convince them that Alice didn't care about winning the war? Everything Klaus had told me that day still had stuck with me in my mind.

One day as I lay in my bed staring at the ceiling completely unsure of why Saber and I were doing in the war other than to just stay alive. That was when I heard Kai walk in. I squealed as I wrapped the covers over my chest.

"Kai! You shouldn't walk in on girls like that! What if I was naked?!" I said as my face was flushed red. Kai chuckled as he tossed me my shirt.

"Saiya I've known you long enough for you to be at least in your underwear when your asleep; I mean cmon you used to always invite me into your bed whenever I had nightmares right?" He said as he was immediately hit in the face with a pillow by my general reaction.

"Kai you pervert! Quit being so brazen with your words!" I said as I quickly slipped the shirt on. Kai laughed waving off my discomfort. "Seriously Saiya we are brother and sister at this point there is nothing of you I haven't seen." This made me shiver bristling with anger as I glared at him.

"That REALLY isn't helping you right now!" I said as I immediately prepared to throw him out of my room. He held up his hands in surrender as he said. "Whoa whoa I came to tell you that I finished repairing the main house!"

I stopped as I remembered the night Archer of Black attacked the main house with his Master. I looked at Kai as if he had just reversed time. I can go back…I can go back there…right in the center of it all… I thought as he continued. "Its best that you pack your things soon Saiya, Winter Break for you is almost over." I winced upon hearing that; it had felt like forever since I was pulled into the Holy Grail War and had been in danger so much that I had nearly forgotten what my normal life was.

"School…" I muttered as I remembered my two close friends Rika and Ayaki. How we always stuck together against obstacles when we were little. How we always seemed to never separate when we got older. People used to always say that we were inseparable. There was no way I could ever tell them what I was involved in now, it would mean putting them into unnecessary danger. At that moment I felt relieved knowing they were safe.

However; I had no idea just how wrong I was…

Caster of Black stepped out of her Master's bedroom cheerfully refastening her dress along with her cloak. At first she had been surprised at how willing her young Master was at protecting her friends, even at the expense of her own body and blood. After a while Caster began to see it as a routine. "Mm…far be it from me to prevent my dear Master from protecting the two friends she loves the most…" She purred licking her lips as she stopped and picked up a picture of her Master's classroom photo. As she gazed at the photo she recognized the one who was now Saber of Red's Master.

As she stared at the girl she remembered the tears in her Master's eyes during the night she first told her about them. And even to a bloody countess like Caster, even seeing her Master's own tears broke her heart. It was then that she made a solemn vow to her Master that she would see to it that her beloved friend Saiya and her servant Saber would be broken enough not to fight and she could keep Saiya away from the war. As her Master slept, recovering from Caster feeding off of her and having sex with her in order to gain more mana; Caster herself gazed out the open window staring out over the city as thick clouds began to gather.

"The end of Winter Break is vastly approaching…" She mumbled as she remembered seeing her Master mark it on the calendar. The idea of her Master being a young woman still within the prime of earning her education had delighted Caster to no end. It gave her fond memories of when she herself had set to teach her own students of noble young women in her own home. Of course these girls had just been her playthings on the side however Caster still felt a warm glow being their teacher.

And now that she was a Servant in the modern era, and although very far away from her dear home in Hungary; she still relished seeing everything there was in Japan with her beautiful young Master. Caster looked out the window of their humble abode as some snow flakes began to fall. She sighed joyfully as the crystalline flakes touched the windows. "Its just like when I was a little girl…" She whispered as a tear of joy fell from her cheeks.

A noise stirred her from her gaze upon the snow as she turned and saw her Master walking out of the room adjusting the buttons on her shirt; her face still slightly flushed from their earlier ritual. Caster momentarily whimpered in disappointment as she saw the small strip of gauze wrapped around her neck. Caster always liked leaving a bite mark on certain girls simply because that was how she picked her favorite victims.

The girl noticed Caster's gaze and looked away. "Quit looking at me like that, I've already given you enough!" She snapped; her face flushed with embarrassment. That was when she began to stumble but not before Caster rushed to her side and caught her in her arms.

"I suppose I did feed a little too much from you Rika, my apologies." Caster said and then giggled. "You are always so cute when you blush like that." Rika looked up and glared at Caster with piercing green eyes until finally she sighed and walked away.

"Sometimes I wish you'd quit ogling me so much and focus on the war Caster." Rika said as she twirled a lock of her short hair back and took out her cell phone. "Ooohh" Caster moaned as she almost flew towards Rika and gently wrapped her arms around the young girl's neck from behind watching her begin a text.

"This war is entertaining to say the least Rika however I care more about seeing your world. Especially your beautiful nation of Japan…" Caster purred as she looked at a picture of three young teenage girls. Two of which being Rika and Saiya. "Although it must be hard knowing one of your dearest friends is your enemy…" Caster said while caressing Rika's shoulders.

Rika was silent as she typed the text message. "I want to see her for myself first.." She whispered. This made Caster perk up with curiosity; when she had first told Rika about seeing Saiya and her Servant with the Masters and Servants of Red the poor girl had been devastated. Terrified and helpless beyond her own fears but now it seemed as if Rika was questioning it. "You don't trust my familiars Rika?" Caster said as she looked down into her eyes cupping her cheek softly.

Rika was silent again before she finally answered. "No I do trust them…I just want to see it for myself Caster…" and she finally finished the text sending it to Saiya herself and closing her cell phone as if closing a chapter of her own life.

Ugh god FINALLY I get a chapter out! Allow me to apologize to all my readers of this story. Work has been kicking the crap out of me leaving me with no energy to work on this so I apologize for this having taken so long to come out. It breaks my heart that I put this off due to my severe exhaustion. However now I'm going to try hard and get back to a some-what regular schedule of writing so expect the next one during the weekend.
