I do not own anything! Just the plot

Second chance...? (Chap 10)
Chapter 10: A new light.
-Still in flashback mode-
She looked down, giving a halfhearted laugh. "Ino doesn't even know about this. No one does."
I looked at her. 'What does she mean?' She sighed then giggled nervously. "You're probably wondering what the hell I'm talking about huh?" I nodded my head. She inhaled. "It's a very long and depressing story."
I sat down on the ground, facing her to show that I was here for her. "I don't care." After seeing what I had done, she hung her head down. I could see fresh tears falling from her eyes.

"What if I was to tell you that I was supposed to die twice..." I didn't say anything. All I did was sit and listen. She sniffled. "What if I was to say I'm a curse... That I shouldn't be here..." I cut her off. "Tell me the beginning." She looked at me, and took a shaky breath. "It's ok. Take your time Sakura." She closed her eyes.

"It all started with the start of my clan. For some reason people hated us. We were hunted down and killed. My mother and father had to run every day. Until they got to this temple. Then I was born... And my mother was killed..."
She stopped, covering her cries with her hand. As I saw this I got up from the ground, kneeling in front of her. "I'm so sorry..." She looked at me. "Me too..." I shook my head, "Would you please tell me more?" She gave me weary look. "Don't worry. Your secret will be safe with me I promise." She took in a deep breath. "It all started with the first members of my clan. They were a powerful few. Always masking their techniques, and using them only to help those who need it." "Sounds like superheroes Sakura." That made her laugh, "The monks used to tell of how they could control water, making it obey to their wishes. The waves flow within those who bear the Haruno mark. That's what my father would tell me when I would ask questions."

I took in everything she said, from how her clan could bend the water into ice, to legends of some who control people themselves. Bending them as they would a drop of water. She gave me glimpses of her childhood life, how she would cause trouble for the monks during her training, or how she would sit for hours listing to her father talk of her late mother. "You know?" I looked at her, "My mother had the most amazing smile, and my father would tell me that she gave me it to remind him of her beauty." I smiled, "She sounded like an amazing person….. like you." I could see her ears redden at my comment, shaking her head. "No. My mother wasn't a fighter like me, she was-""A healer like your becoming." She looked at me with a questionable gaze, "Ino told me. She always complains, to me and Shika that you don't have time for her anymore." Sakura giggled, "She's such a drama queen." After that she went to sleep while I took her shift. But little did I know our friend Naruto was listening..

-End of flashback-
-normal pov-
Sasuke just sat there and processed what Choij just said. "So now you know one part of her story.." He pointed to the door. "Go find out the rest." Sasuke gave him a warning look. Holding his hands up, "I'll watch over her, don't worry." With that Sasuke left the apartment, in search for the ninja fox he distastes right now.

When he got to the said ninjas apartment. He banged on the door heavily, "Naruto you better open this god damn door!" He heard a groggy response. "I'll be there in a sec-"then nothing but sores after that. In annoyance he kicked the door open, scaring Naruto out of bed. "What the?" He looked to see who it was, "Jeez, Teme. It's like 4 in the morning." Once he said that Sasuke grabbed his shirt collar and punched him in the face. Naruto stumbled and fought back, they went back and forth for about 20 minutes until Naruto screamed, "What the hell is your problem?" Sasuke stopped, and with a dark tone said, "You know what! You sat there and played dumb the whole time!" "What are you-""You knew everything about her!" Naruto just stood still. Sasuke punched the wall behind him, "You didn't tell me. She didn't tell me. Am I still unworthy of your trust?" "She doesn't know." He looked at the fox container, "Sakura-ane has no clue that I know as much as Choji or Ino does." The raven took in a deep breath. "Why didn't she tell?" "She didn't want us to worry. I guess we had our own plans that she felt like she had to keep this one secret to herself." Sasuke shook his head, "I know most of what happened that day." Naruto pondered, "Which day?" "You really are an idiot." He grinned, "Nah. It's just me and Sakura-ane had many adventures when looking for you. In which I saw how much she's grown." He looked at his best friend, "Please tell me Naruto." He pointed to the chair, "You're going to wanna sit for this Teme."

-Flash back-

(Naruto's pov)
After that talk Choji and Sakura had, she went to sleep. I just laid in my tent thinking how stupid you and I were. She had all of baggage, and we couldn't have been good teammates and let her trust us with something so important to her. That she kept us in the dark for so long. So when it was time to for me to take shift, I asked Choji what was up with her.

"Hey Choji!" He looked at me funny, "Why are so chipper this morning?" I scratched my head, "Hehe. Nothing really. But I do have a question." "Ok?" I looked at him with a serious face. "Is it true what she told you."

Thanks for reading!
