A/N: So there is no excuse I can offer as to why it has been 6 years. I had completely forgotten about my account, and my stories. I have changed laptops so many times I don't even have the original copies anymore and nor can I remember what I was doing with the story. It wasn't until I logged on to my old email address and saw that I was still receiving pleas for me to update. I had to read the story again but found myself coming up with new ideas and therefore decided to give it another go.

My writing style has changed since I first started these stories so I apologise if it is different and the story itself seems different. I am trying to keep it as similar as I can but yeah let's see how I go shall we. I also lost my editor, or more lost contact with both of them as well it's been 6 years so I apologise for any bad spelling and grammar. That has one thing that has not improved at all.

For those who don't know I actually have no idea how the original series goes, I literally just made up this story and added in the characters because they originally sort of fit the description and I knew enough from friends (who did watch the series) to know the basics and how to structure my story. I don't have contact with those friends and have not kept up to date as to what happened in the anime but instead choose to develop the characters and story the way I see it going.

Anyway I hope you like it. I know it's short but I wanted to get something up to see if people are still interested. I promise if people still comment on it and it looks like there are still some interest in the story I will continue writing more chapters, I have a basic plan for the next 5 or so. Anyway enjoy and feel free to comment with constructive criticism.

After a little of this they all decide to try some of Hinata's feast she had prepared. It didn't rake long to people had dug in to the delicious Domburi, Onigiri, Soba, Udon, Yakisoba, Sukiyaki, Yakitori, Miso Soup, Gyoza and for Naruto his beloved Ramen. After they had all had there fill, thanks Hinata and Lee for there wonderful effort, they sat around making light conversation until a knock on the door alerted them to one of the Suna guards whom had poked his head in.

"Kazekage sir" he called as Gaara stood up.

"Yes"

"You and your siblings are needed for a quick meeting, it should only take half an hour or so" he told them.

"Who is it?" Gaara asked.

"The leaf shinobi have a few questions, better to avoid suspicion and come along" the guard advised him as Gaara nodded.

"We better go" Temari said.

"Yeah and the sooner we get there the sooner we can get back to partying" Kankuro added as they all stood up and headed for the door.

"We should be right back" Gaara told them as they went to leave.

"Yeah me to, I have to go fetch my surprise" Lee exclaimed as all four excited the room and the remaining eight turned to face each other.

"So what now" Hinata asked as they all shrugged except for Sakura and Ino who shared a grin.

"What?" Tenten said looking at them and suddenly feeling that this wasn't going to lead to a good outcome.

"We play a game" Sakura replied with a giggle as some of the boys rolled there eyes and Tenten sighed.

"What game?" Hinata asked as Ino giggled this time and turned to her.

"Two truths and one lie"

"That doesn't sound too bad" Hinata commented.

"And after that I never" Ino continued. "When all the others get back of course"

"Hn" was Sasuke's response to all this as the boys sighed and Tenten groaned, burying buried her hand in her hands and fearing that she was right.

"This is not going to end well" she mumbled, looking at the bottles of alcohol lined up. "Not very well at all"

Things heat up

The music was still playing in the background as the group chattered among themselves as they waited for their friends to return. Lee walked back in and Tenten went over to greet him. He placed the bag in the corner and then started to tease Tenten who was demanding to know what the bag contained.

Hinata was clearing the dishes while Ino was restraining Sakura from helping, trying to explain that it was her birthday and you didn't clean on your birthday. Sasuke had found a seat the furthest away from everyone else and was now ignoring the others attempts to engage him in conversation.

Naruto meanwhile was playing with numerous bottles and pouring them all in an empty bowl.

"What are you doing" Shikamaru asked, walking towards him and raising an eyebrow as he inspected the contents of the bowl.

"I'm making a cocktail!" Naruto replied enthusiastically, "Hand me that bottle"

"The orange juice?"

"Yeah, I haven't got any orange in it yet" Naruto replied. Shikamaru still looked at him, looked at the green blue mixture in the bowl which, he guessed, was straight alcohol, and then back up at Naruto, who at this point had given up and reached for the bottle himself and poured some in. He then looked up, spotted a bottle of baileys and grabbed that, also adding it to the bowl.

"Do I want to know what else that has in it?" Shikamaru asked, staring at the green liquid which was now becoming an awful brown color, and willing himself not to throw up at the idea of having to swallow that.

"Different colors it's…oh no" Naruto exclaimed! "The orange isn't making it colorful but turning it brown!"

"What else is in their"

"Different colors" Naruto replied, sounding as if the question itself puzzled him.

"Colors?"

"Maybe a light brown would make it look better" Naruto said, adding some scotch and ignoring Shikamaru who cleared his throat to get the blondes attention.

"What do you mean by colors?"

"You know, different colors. Like blue, green, a little bit of pink and some red" Naruto responded, pointing at different bottles of spirits. Shikamaru decided not to point out that the 'pink' and 'red' was a pink bottle and a red bottle, and the liquid itself was clear.

"But the orange juice, baileys and scotch don't seem to be making it more colorful. Maybe some yellow" Naruto murmured to himself, grabbing a bottle with the word yellow written on it and adding it to the mix.

Shikamaru continued to stare at him, restraining from pointing out that his yellow liquid was actually white wine and not that yellow. Instead he asked: "What are you trying to do?"

"Make a rainbow cocktail?"

"You do know what a cocktail is right?"

"Yeah, it's a colorful drink" Naruto answered. Shikamaru went to respond but choose against it and walked away, as Naruto started wondering if adding something white would make the color better. He didn't think he would get through to him anyway and was worried he would be asked to test this 'cocktail'. He looked around the room and decided to join Neji instead, who was in a corner, a sour look on his face as he watched Tenten and Lee laughing together on the other side of the room.

He watched as Naruto added milk, to his alcohol and juice combination, and filled up a glass, handing it to Hinata who had come over to see what he was doing.

"I can't get the colors right so try it and tell me what it needs" Naruto was asking her and she smiled hesitantly.

"What in it" she asked.

"Don't worry about that just try it" he urged, "I bet it tastes amazing!"

"I'm sure it will" She said kindly and then looked at the drink with doubt. Naruto just grinned than poured another cup and wondered over to Sasuke, who was sitting away from the others and staring off into space, and started trying to convince him to have some. Shikamaru turned away, hoping the moody Uchiha was smart enough not to.

"What are they all happy about" Neji mumbled, still watching his girlfriend with his former teammate.

"I don't know, girls are too troublesome to listen to" Shikamaru replied, though Neji appeared not to hear him.

"What could they be laughing about" he continued and Shikamaru choose not to answer. He glanced quickly at Ino and then at the door, wondering when Temari, wait no the others would come back. Yeah the others. All of them, not just Temari.

"Great now they have Hinata as well" Neji mumbled, and Shikamaru looked up to see that Hinata had walked over to join Tenten and Lee and was currently laughing at something Lee said. He was relieved to see that she hadn't had any of the content in her cup yet.

"What do they like about him anyway!" Neji was now saying.

"If I were you" he continued, "I would be more concerned that Naruto is trying to poison your cousin"

"Yeah yeah…wait what?" Neji demanded.

"See that cup Hinata is holding, I am pretty sure she would be very sick if she drank that" He explained and when Neji continued to look at him he sighed.

"This is so troublesome" he muttered "That cup contains a cocktail Naruto made, which if I didn't know him I would consider the possibility that his actually trying to kill us all"

Neji looked stunned for a moment and then his eyebrows rose and his face became one of pure rage. He looked over at Naruto, who was stirring his 'cocktail' while adding a bottle of red wine this time, and stormed over,

"Naruto you idiot" he yelled, ignoring the fact that the voice in his head was telling him that he was currently taking his rage at Lee out on Naruto. Instead he continued to yell at him, demanding to know what he was doing and why he was trying to kill them all!

"I should probably go say something" Hinata said, watching as Naruto tries unsuccessfully to defend himself, while Neji continued to yell about him, using words like brainless idiot and something about how adding milk and juice together would result in people throwing up. She had joined Lee and Tenten and was still holding her drink, which she had not touched and was hoping she could get away with pouring out the window.

"I'll go sort this out" Lee said, jumping up and hurrying over.

"His easily excited isn't he" Sakura commented as she and Ino joined the girls.

"His well….his Lee" Tenten said as a way of an explanation. "You think his bad you should have seen our sensai"

"Sensai?"

"Kind of like our teacher, guide, head of our team, one responsible for teaching us to be fighters" Tenten explained to Sakura who had never heard off such a word. Sakura nodded in response and Ino turned to Tenten, a drink in her hand.

"Drink this" she demanded.

"Why, I already have one?"

"Yeah but you need to drink for me! Otherwise people might notice I'm not drinking and question it" Ino explained.

"Wait so why do I have to drink double so you can fool people into believing your drinking?" Tenten asked.

"Well I can't drink myself can I?" Ino sighed, "This way no one will know I'm not drinking. So I will act drunk and people will think I am drinking but it will really be you who is drinking my drinks."

"Why can't you just say you don't feel like drinking?" Ino turned to the other girls.

"If I said I didn't feel like drinking would you think that's normal?"

"Well maybe" Sakura said, trying to think of a good response and when failing admitted defeat. "No I would be suspicious and think your hiding something"

"See exactly, now drink Tenten so I can get another…for you to drink"

"Why me?"

"Well its Sakura's birthday so I can't get her sick and well I can't have Hinata drink double. Neji would kill me!"

"As oppose to getting me drunk which you have no qualms about?"

"Yeah, so drink up" Ino replied, Ten just glared at her.

"So you're scared of Neji being mad if he finds you got Hinata drunk, but not me?"

"He won't care that your drunk, it's not like you're his sister"

"I am his girlfriend" Tenten reminded her but Ino shrugged.

"Yeah exactly, so drink up"

"Ok so let me get this straight, you want to pretend you're not pregnant so your boyfriend doesn't find out your carrying his child so I have to drink your drinks so you can pretend you drank them and pretend to be drunk so no one questions it. Meanwhile I am throwing up all day tomorrow because I had to drink the drinks people think you drank while you feel fine and dandy"

"Yeah now you have it" Ino said, with a genuine smile which faltered as Tenten continued to glare at her.

"This makes no sense"

"Oh come on" Ino said "I will pretend to be sick tomorrow to so the ruse will work"

"Yeah that was not my point" Tenten replied.

"Please" Ino begged, "Pretty Pretty Please, I can't say anything. Not yet."

"Maybe you should just tell him" Hinata suggested kindly but Ino turned to face her.

"Tell him while his flirting with that blonde bimbo, no way!"

Tenten looked like she was about to comment at Ino's term of blonde bimbo but Sakura threw her a look.

"Come on take one for the team" Sakura said.

"Easy for you to say" Tenten muttered.

"Please it's my birthday and I have never had a birthday before, I just want thinks to be perfect" She gave Tenten her best looking pleading face and finally Tenten sighed and took the drink off Ino.

"You all owe me" she mumbled.

"Yeah whatever, now drink up" Ino said and then snatched the empty bottle from her and as soon as she was done, pretending to finish it herself.

"I'll go get us another" She exclaimed, heading to the drink table. Sakura decided to get one herself, mostly because Tenten was glaring daggers at her, and followed Ino across the room, stealing a glance at Sasuke as she did and noticing how he was ignoring everything else with a troubled look on his face.

"Oh this party is going to be so much fun" Tenten said sarcastically, while Hinata just gave her a sympathetic look.

"You're helping a friend, it's nice" Hinata explained, trying to cheer herself up. Tenten watched as Ino poured two shots of vodka into a cup and felt herself sigh again.

"It's still morally wrong to punch regnant people isn't it?"

"Afraid so" Hinata replied, trying to hold back a laugh. Tenten shot her a look.

"Yep I am so screwed"

Meanwhile the boys, on the other side of the room, had calmed down and were now watching the girls, who were huddled together with their backs turned, talking, or arguing, among themselves.

"What are they talking about" Naruto asked.

"I will just turn on my super hearing ability and let you know" Neji answered sarcastically, still angry about the drink Naruto had tried to get his cousin to drink. The 'cocktail' in question had been poured down the sink, much to Naruto's dismay.

"Not as powerful as you think then" He responded angrily and Neji looked at him glaring.

"At least my intelligence is not as small as a teasponn" Neji said making Naruto clench his fists.

"Come now my youthful teammate, don't be so harsh" Lee said to Neji, who instead turned his anger towards him.

"Were not teammates, and soon enough we will be gone and you can go back home" shouted Neji and with that he walked off, taking a seat next to Sasuke and glaring at the floor.

"What's his problem" Naruto uttered, as he watched Sakura and Ino walk past, while Hinata was smiling at Tenten. She did look cute when she smiled, he thought.

"Something seems to be bothering him" Lee replied, watching as Neji continued to glare at nothing.

The rest of the room had fell silent following Neji's outburst until Shikamaru stood up and announced he was going to go see where the others were at, walking past Ino without even acknowledging her. Ino watched him leave, than stared at the glass of vodka in her hand, restraining herself from drinking the whole glass right then and there. Sakura saw this and gently took the glass from her friend's hand.

"You don't want to do that" She said and Ino looked at her, tears hovering behind her eyes.

"I really do" she replied and Sakura put the drink down and placed her arm around her friends shoulder.

"I'm sure his just excited to see his friend again"

"He likes her, he always has" Ino said, her voice shaking. "What if when we leave he decides to stay" What if he chooses her over me?"

Sakura didn't have an answer, instead she just hugged Ino and looked over at Sasuke, who was now looking at the door Shikamaru had just walked out of, as if he was desperate to leave himself.

"Things will work out" she told Ino, willing herself to believe it herself. "They just have to".

A/N: So there you go. I know it wasn't much but it's a start. I know I lost most my readers, if not all, but if there are any still out there I would love to know. No amount of apologies can be enough to truly apologize for how long it has been but I hope in time I can make it up to you a little.
