AUTHORS NOTE: I would like to thank all reviewers, and people who have marked my story as a favorite. (Favorite author as well!) I love reading the reviews when I post a new chapter. I'm always worried that I make my stories a bit confusing, either leaving out something important or forgetting that I typed something major in one chapter that was left out in later chapters. I have to read my stories over again to make sure I am keeping track of what I write, plus remembering what happened in the series. It is a bit difficult to write a story that goes along with the original series. I apologize if I mess up somewhere.

Some things I would like to mention:

I believe Gohan's power to see the future shouldn't be as easy as Goku learning the Kamehameha Wave, thus side effects when Gohan uses that power too frequently. You will see bits and pieces of what happens when used to often. Gohan can predict anything with all the outcomes, and with that kind of power it has to cause some strain. This chapter will show what happens when Gohan uses his powers too much, but you won't see as much in later chapters.

Resurrection of F and Dragonball Xenoverse…seen the movie? Play the game? Why would I, the author, put those two things down without explaining why? Jaco was mentioned in the last chapter, but what else is going to happen? (Insert dramatic music here)

Without futher ado, I present to you Chapter 10 of Through the Ghost.

What Goku hoped for was not what he had in mind.

He never had the chance to fully bond with Gohan when he was growing up. Gohan was four years old when Raditz appeared. From that moment on it was nothing but fighting and traveling to planets. There were three years for training, and in those three years was nothing but studying and sparring for Gohan. Even when they took a break it was never the two of them. Gohan was always talking to Bardock, and left his father on the back burner.

When it was time for Goku and Gohan to go in the Time Chamber, Goku knew that he would have some alone time with Gohan. It was a year of training, but Goku could catch up with Gohan and his life. Gohan was a child, and needed to enjoy his youth while he still could. He always acted older than he was, and Goku didn't know if it was due to the battles he fought at a young age, or Bardock's influence.

From what Goku could see, Bardock was the one who made Gohan grow up too quickly. Bardock was also stopping Goku from spending time with Gohan.

"Let go," Gohan yelled.

"Not my fault you leave your tail out in the open," Bardock barked. Goku watched from the steps as Bardock and Gohan do 'real saiyan' training, as Bardock called it. Gohan tried to pull himself out of Bardock's grip. "You can't pull yourself away if someone has your tail. One, you're gonna exhaust yourself, and two, it hurts like hell! So when someone has your tail, what are you going to do?"

Gohan was upside down as Bardock gripped the furry appendage. Goku, who doesn't have a tail, could only watch from the sidelines. He tried to coach Gohan, but Bardock yelled at him. Gohan had to learn to get himself out of a situation he put himself in.

As Gohan hung there, Bardock squeezed the tail tighter.

"You're going to pass out if you don't think of something soon," Bardock said as Gohan's eyes were getting droopy.

In this training, Gohan wasn't allowed to use any ki. Bardock learned the hard way how painful one's energy could be. He made Goku work on that training as he used ointment on his burned face. Goku could dodge the ki blasts, and even let a few hit him, but he wasn't squeezing Gohan's tail hard enough. Goku didn't see the point in hurting his son once Gohan learned how to escape. Bardock didn't like Goku's answer, and told him that he shouldn't baby Gohan.

"My patience is thin. I'm cutting off the tail," Bardock said, squeezing the tail. Gohan's eyes snapped opened. Gohan did a curl up, grabbed Bardock's hand, and bit down hard. Bardock screamed in pain, and let go of Gohan's tail. Gohan floated there laughing as Bardock shook his hand then held it close to his chest. "And you're missing teeth!"

Gohan smiled. He had a few of his baby teeth knocked out, one on the bottom row and one up top. Goku laughed as Bardock blew on his hand to aid the pain.

"My one canine tooth grew in," Gohan said wrapping his tail around his waist. He opened his mouth and touched his canines, and found one missing. "I'm missing a tooth."

"It's stuck in my hand!"

Bardock shoved his hand in front of Gohan. Gohan blinked a few times as he saw his baby tooth embedded in Bardock's skin. Gohan grabbed the tooth, and pulled it out. Bardock winced.

"Do you think the tooth fairy can find her way to the Time Chamber," Gohan yelled down at Goku. Chuckling, Goku flew up to Gohan and Bardock. He grabbed Gohan's tooth and examined it.

"Well bring this one back to put underneath your pillow when we get out," Goku said sticking it in his armor.

"There's no such thing as a tooth fairy," Bardock said, keeping his injured hand close to his chest. Goku loved seeing his father, but he is blunt about everything. The tooth fairy is not real, but as a kid it was great seeing a dollar under your pillow. Goku loved the tooth fairy as a kid.

"I could always use the extra cash," Gohan said with his toothless smile. "I know she's not real, but I can buy myself a candy bar with the money. You can't buy candy with teeth."

"Some planets you can." Bardock looked at his hand. "You drew blood."

"You should get it cleaned up so you don't get an infection."

"What's an infection gonna do, kill me? I doubt I can die here."

Gohan looked at the never ending room.

"This would be your purgatory," Gohan said starring into the nothing. Bardock looked in the same direction. The deeper you went, the deeper the room became. You would be dodging fire and ice, and beyond that…

No one ever went past the fire and ice. It was difficult to breathe, and the gravity increased. Goku never went that far back. The fear of never returning frightening Goku. It scared Bardock as well, but for Gohan it spike his curiosity.

Gohan's eyes changed as he looked beyond the empty room.

"Don't," Bardock spoke. Gohan didn't tap into his power as much since they entered the room. It's been two weeks in the Time Chamber, and this was the first time Gohan used his power, as far as Bardock knew.

Goku watched as Gohan's eyes returned to normal. A red flag went up in Goku's head. Gohan said his eyes changed that way to see Bardock better. If Bardock had a temporary body why would Gohan's eyes change?

"Just curious of what's back there," Gohan said, returning his attention back to Bardock and Goku. Both had a look of concern, which made Gohan tense. He wasn't used to seeing both Bardock and his father standing, floating actually, side by side.

"What do you think is back there," Bardock asked. Goku folded his arms, trying to piece some things together. Apparently, Gohan could see the future, and Bardock could see what Gohan saw. In the chamber, Bardock couldn't see what Gohan could.

'His eyes must change when he's seeing the future,' Goku thought. Thinking back to some fights, training even, Gohan's eyes did change. He could tell what was coming to him, and deflect when needed.

Goku wasn't satisfied with his answer. For now, he'll just accept it, and figure out who he can talk to about Gohan's power without him knowing. That was going to be difficult, since Gohan could see everything that was going to happen.

"More fire, more ice," Gohan answered. Unhappy with the answer, Bardock grabbed Gohan by the hair.

"Be right back. He's going to help clean my hand," Bardock said pulling Gohan down to the ground. Goku had a clue to what was going on.

"I'll watch," Goku said. "While Gohan is cleaning the bite mark, you can tell me about our home planet!"

Two weeks in the Time Chamber. This is the first time Goku asked about his home planet. Vegeta didn't say much about it. Bardock died on the planet so he had to know a lot about it.

"And about my mother," Goku added.

"There's not much to say about our planet or your mother," Bardock said. (Gohan was pouting with his arms folded.) He didn't want to talk about it right now. Gohan knew what was back there, and knowing Gohan for all of his life he knew the child would wonder back there. If he knew what Gohan saw he could-

"What was she like?" Goku was being persistent. "I think as your son you can tell me about my mother."

"Saiyan women are nothing but egg donors Kakarot."

"So you never had a relationship with my mom?"

"No."

"I don't believe you."

The tension between the two was tight. Gohan felt out of place.

"Um, can you let go of me," Gohan asked. "I have to…butter toast or something."

Bardock released Gohan, but never lost eye contact with Goku. Not wanting to be the third wheel, Gohan trotted back into the building.

"We don't have relationships like you have here on Earth," Bardock said. "Your mother hunted and cook, I went out to battle. I merely used her to breed and eat a decent meal."

"Funny you say that Bardock. I remember Gohan telling me that you loved my mother," Goku said.

Of course he did. The brat couldn't keep his mouth shut, ever!

"Well if Gohan told you everything then why are you asking me?"

"Because I want to get to know you before we leave this place. As soon as we are out of here, you will be a ghost again. I won't get to talk to you anymore, or train with you."

Goku did want to know Bardock, but at the same time he wanted to know more about the power he and Gohan shared. He wanted Bardock's trust, and answers to why Gohan was letting the enemies terrorize the planet. Goku was starting to understand Piccolo's lack of trust towards Bardock. He wasn't a nice person.

"So you want to do some family bonding? Sorry Kakarot, I'm not a sentimental man," Bardock said as he turned his back towards Goku. "Now if you will excuse me, I have to clean the bite mark your son gave me."

Goku scrunched his brows. Bardock's attitude was rubbing off on Gohan. If Goku didn't step in soon, Gohan would be just like Bardock.

Deciding not to press the issue, Goku went to find Gohan. To his surprise he found Gohan buttering toast.

"Making a snack," Goku asked with a smile. Gohan nodded his head.

"I wasn't going to really butter toast, but the more I thought about it the more I wanted toast," Gohan said. He handed the plate to Goku. "Here. You can have some."

"Thanks son." At least Gohan still had his manners.

"Did Bardock answer all of your questions?" Goku took a bite out of his toast.

"I don't think he likes me. He's my father, but he acts like I'm not his son."

"That's how he was raised," Gohan said. He finished buttering toast, and went towards a table with two chairs, Goku followed. Since the room can only hold two people, it only had two beds, two chairs, and two baths. Luckily, the beds were big enough to fit two to three people. "Saiyans needed to grow up tough. Showing any emotions will make them weak."

They sat down.

"I don't think showing off emotions makes you a weak warrior Gohan. It gives you character, and it creates you as a person," Goku said.

"Showing any emotion gets you killed in battle. Showing mercy to an enemy is the worst thing you can do."

Goku knew Gohan was talking about Frezia. His words stung, but Goku had to shrug it off.

"Everyone deserves a chance to change. Look at Piccolo and Vegeta. They wanted to kill us, and now they're friends." Goku took another bite of his toast.

Friends wasn't the word Gohan would use. Tolerating one another would have been a better choice of words.

"I guess," Gohan mumbled.

"Bardock does show emotion in front of you Gohan," Goku looking at the pile of toast in front of him. "When you do well he praises you, and he's worried about you a lot. Why does he worry about you so much Gohan?"

Because Gohan has the power to see the future, and Bardock doesn't trust him being the only one with that power.

"He's not supposed to be here, and if we get caught we all get in trouble," Gohan answered. He wasn't lying.

"Can he travel to the Otherworld?"

"If caught in the Otherworld he'll be sent to purgatory. It's a lose lose."

"Can't he travel anywhere? I mean, you're the only one who sees him. He can travel anywhere on Earth, or other planets." Goku sighed. "He wouldn't be able to talk to anyone, or eat I guess. Traveling would be pointless then."

An awkward silence fell between the two. Goku wasn't sure if it was the right time to ask Gohan about his visions. Goku wanted to know if Gohan could see the future, but how could he casually bring it up? He could never get Gohan alone, not in this room at least, and where ever Gohan went Bardock was close by.

'Duh! You're alone now,' Goku thought to himself. "Hey Gohan, can I-"

"Gohan, I need your help wrapping a bandage," Bardock yelled from the bathroom. "I need more hands!"

"Hey Dad, how about you help Bardock," Gohan suggested.

"I don't think he wants to see me right now," Goku sadly said.

"You should. You're real good at wrapping bandages, and you tie the knot just like Gine used to."

Goku blinked a few times.

"Your mother."

"Great idea Gohan!"

Goku got up from his seat, and headed towards the bathroom. Maybe he could get to know his father a bit better. If some of the things reminded Bardock of Goku's mom, maybe he can learn more about his family.

Once Goku appeared at the bathroom door, he saw Bardock trying to bandage his hand with his teeth. Bardock could tell he was being watched, and looked up to see Goku standing there.

"You're not Gohan," he said as the bandage unraveled from his hand.

"Gohan's eating toast," Goku replied. He walked in, and grabbed the bandage. "I guess being dead for so long you forget how to bandage a wound."

"I can do it on other people, but I could never do it by myself."

"It takes practice to bandage yourself." Goku started to wrap up Bardock's hand. No more words were exchanged. Goku remembered Gohan telling him the way he knots bandages is the same as his mother. Once the bandage was tied, Bardock looked at the knot. "It's not too tight, is it?"

"It's fine," Bardock stated. Rubbing his hand, Bardock walked out of the room. Goku followed behind, and noticed that Bardock stopped walking. "Where's Gohan?"

"He was at the table not too long ago," Goku said. He walked to the table to see an empty plate, but no Gohan. Bardock looked around the building while Goku looked on the outside. "Do you see him?"

"Gohan," Goku called out. His voice echoed in the distance. A reply was not heard. Bardock walked up next to Goku, and looked at the nothingness. "You don't think he went out there, do you?"

"Do you have this sickening feeling in your stomach?"

"Yeah."

"He's out there."

"Should we go after him?"

Bardock tried to recall the visions he and Gohan had about this place. Gohan had thought about going as far as he could, but what did the vision show? Which vision did Gohan choose? Did he attempt to go as far as he could? Did he stop and turn back around when it was too much? Did Kakarot have to help? One vision went black, and that was death.

"Let's casually walk out and see if we spot him," Bardock said. "And when I say casually walk I mean FLY LIKE HELL!"

Bardock powered up, and took off. Goku did as well, and flew beside Bardock.

"He couldn't have gotten that far," Goku said. He had spent minutes with Bardock, and he didn't sense Gohan's ki spike up. Goku looked around hoping to see Gohan. "Ugh, it's getting harder to breathe."

"Gohan," Bardock yelled. He stopped flying. He too can feel his breathing becoming difficult. He looked back, and no longer saw, what he called, the house. "If he went any further he wouldn't be able to breathe."

"Is it just me, or did it get really warm in here?"

They noticed the white skies were turning red.

Goku quickly went into a defense stance. Bardock looked around, hoping to spot Gohan somewhere. He held his chest.

"Kakarot we need to get out of here," Bardock said.

A flame shot up in front of Bardock. He leaned back and successfully dodged the flame. Another one came forward, and Bardock flew up.

'I have to get out of here,' Bardock thought. 'I can't breathe this far back. But Gohan…'

"Bardock!" The older saiyan heard Goku cry, but the fire coming towards him was too fast. Too slow to dodge, too slow to block, Bardock got hit by the flame. He slammed on the ground, and gasped for air. Before he could get up, and another fire was coming towards him. He closed his eyes, waiting for impact, but it never came.

Opening his one eye, he saw Gohan standing in front of him. Relieved, Bardock stood up.

He then punched Gohan on top of the head.

"What the hell Gohan," he yelled, hitting Gohan multiple times.

"I didn't expect you to follow me," Gohan said. Bardock stopped punching him. Gohan rubbed his head.

"Did you not see what was back here?!"

"I did, and I wanted-"

A flame shot between them.

"If you say to train I'll-" Gohan pulled Bardock towards him as a flame shot up towards him. "That's it. We're getting out of here. Kakarot, I found-"

Bardock looked around, and didn't see his son. All he saw were flames, some in a circular motion, some as a wave.

"He's there," Gohan shouted. Bardock turned, and noticed Goku lying on the ground.

"The air must have gotten to him. We need to get out of here now!" A wall of flame appeared behind Bardock. He felt something burning, and noticed his tail was on fire. He quickly grabbed it, and blew on it.

"You okay," Gohan asked.

"I will be once we get out of here, and away from the flames."

"I can get us out."

Gohan grabbed Bardock by the wrist, and pulled him towards Goku. Gohan's eyes changed as dodged the oncoming flames. Bardock was being pulled from the left, to the right, being dragged down, and barely dodging another flame wall.

Once they managed to reach Goku, Bardock placed Goku on his shoulder.

"You can't maneuver like you did before Gohan. You have to fly through somehow," Bardock said. "Without burning your father and I."

Gohan's eyes changed again. He grabbed Bardock's wrist once more, and pulled Bardock alongside of him. Bardock had his one arm on Goku, holding tightly, while the other felt like it was going to be pulled off. Visions of Gine flashed through his head, along with his friend, Fasha, Tora, Borgos, and Shugesh.

This is how is was going to die, for real this time, in a time chamber because his grandson was curious. Not only was he fighting to stay conscious, but he was also trying not to catch anymore body parts on fire. Bardock closed his eyes as he welcomed his death.

"You can open your eyes Bardock. We made it out."

Bardock opened his eyes. He could see the building in front of them. He took a deep breathe, and was relieved that his chest wasn't hurting anymore. He left Goku fall to the ground, and moved his shoulders up and down. He looked at his tail. The burned hair was gone, replaced with brown fur.

"Huh, I could have sworn that I had a bald spot," Bardock commented.

"It's not real out here," Gohan answered. "It feels real, but you can't die out there."

"Sure as hell felt like it! Your dad passed out because he couldn't breathe! I almost did too!"

"The flames would have passed, and the air would be normal." Gohan felt his nose dripping. He used his glove to wipe off the snot. "I had a vision. If I was back there a little bit longer, I could become super saiyan two!"

Was Bardock mad? Of course! Did he look mad?

Nope.

Terrified actually.

"Are you okay Bardock," Gohan asked.

"I was going to ask you the same thing," Bardock said, pointing to Gohan's glove. Gohan looked at his glove, and noticed it was red. He immediately put his hand on his nose, and felt it running. He looked at his hand. It was covered in blood. "Ears too?"

"Yep."

"And here I thought the tight air was giving me a headache."

Gohan collapsed on the ground.

Bardock stood there, and looked at both Goku and Gohan. One was passed out, and would regain conciseness soon. The other was bleeding out of his head, and could be knocking on death's door. Without any vision to see if Gohan was okay, the only thing Bardock could do was wait until Goku woke up.

Bardock dropped his shoulders.

"I didn't realize that I would be my son and grandson's babysitter," Bardock moaned. He threw Goku over his shoulder, and Gohan by his tail. As he walked he noticed a trail of blood behind him, Gohan's blood. "He's bleeding out pretty bad. I should get him to bed."

Bardock lifted Gohan up, and threw him. He watched as Gohan flew across the stairs, passed the beds, and hit the wall. His body fell on the ground, but his leg managed to make it on the bed.

"Close enough."

Bardock casually walked back to the building with Goku on his shoulder.

Goku slowly opened his eyes, and sat up. He looked around and found himself in the little house in the Time Chamber.

"Gohan," Goku shouted as he got out of bed.

"He's okay Kakarot," Goku heard Bardock say. Goku got out of the bed, and saw Bardock sitting on a chair next to the other bed. Goku walked over, and saw Gohan tossing and turning. On the bed was a bowl of ice water. Bardock put a rag in the ice water, wringed it out, and dabbed Gohan's forehead. "He has a fever, but he'll be fine in a few days."

"What happen?"

"Gohan is training too hard." Bardock's voice was very monotone. "He wants to be strong, protect the planet, but he's pushing past his limits. He needs to take it easy."

Gohan was sweating. The blanket was covering half his body as he tossed and turned. Goku sat down on the bed.

"This has never happened to Gohan before," he said. "He looks like he's in pain."

"A fever sometimes has a headache as a friend," Bardock replied. "I used to fight to my breaking point. You can destroy your body that way, and your mother always hated that."

"My mother?"

Bardock put the washcloth in the bowl. He put his elbow on his knee, and rested his head on his hand.

"Your mother, Gine. She cooked, she did first aid, but she didn't like fighting. All saiyans loved to fight, but she didn't have an interest. On planet Vegeta, we used to send out the weak warriors to other planets, except the women. If they weren't strong enough they prepared the food, or tended the weak."

"Is that how you met my mom," Goku asked. He wasn't sure why Bardock was opening up, but he wasn't going to question it.

"This scar," Bardock pointed at his cheek, "was from one of Frezia's henchmen. I got beat up pretty bad, and refused to heal in the healing pod. I went to the infirmary for some bandages, and met your mother. She demanded I get stiches, and I told her to back off. What you call rubbing alcohol was thrown on my face by your mother. It burned real bad."

Bardock rubbed his cheek.

"She wasn't strong by all means, but she knew how to get her way. She was able to pin me down, pour more of that alcohol on my wound, and slapped a bandage on my face. We conceived Raditz that night."

Bardock smiled at the memory. Goku pulled out his collar, trying to ignore the images floating in his head. Even though he had no idea what his mother looked like, he didn't want to picture his parents…doing it.

"So uh…that's how you met my mom," Goku said still trying to shun the images in his head.

"You are a lot like her Kakarot." Goku smiled. Gohan stopped tossing and turning, and looked relaxed. Bardock grabbed the washcloth, wringed it out, folded it, and placed it on Gohan's forehead. "Gohan is a lot like Raditz, and I just want to strangling him sometimes!" Bardock's voice got louder. "I swear! The brat doesn't listen to a damn word I say!"

"Are you sure Gohan doesn't get that from you?"

Bardock scrunched up his nose. He wasn't cocky, and he did as he was told. There was a time where he was stronger than his team, but he never boasted about it…a lot. If he was given an order he did it…eventually. He treated everyone like they treated him. If they attacked him, he attacked back! If they cocked an attitude, he would punch them! If they begged for their life, he killed them!

"It comes from your mother's side of the family," Bardock explained. Goku forced a laugh. "Gohan's going to go out there again."

"I guess we'll have to take turns watching him," Goku said.

"No, let him go back. He can't die in here, and he'll figure out a way to get by us when we're not looking."

"How do you know?"

Was it because Gohan could see the future, and knew when he could escape?

"Cause he's a kid, and kids are idiots," Bardock answered.

That was true too.

Goku looked at the wall by the bed. He noticed a dent and blood.

"Is that Gohan's blood," Goku asked as he picked up a blanket with a red stain.

"Nosebleed."

"And the dent?" Goku pointed to the wall. Bardock shrugged his shoulder. "Did you throw him on the bed again?"

Bardock didn't speak.

"Why do you always throw Gohan on the bed?"

"I did it to Raditz, and he turned out fine!"

"He was okay," Bardock corrected, throwing his left arm up in the air. "Gohan will be fine."

"I'll stop throwing him on the damn bed! Happy?"

(Two months later…)

THUNK!

"You promised not to throw me on the bed anymore," Gohan yelled as he stood up from behind the bed. He pointed to the wall behind him. "I've hit the wall more times than the bed!"

"I'm aiming for the bed every time, I swear," Bardock said raising his right hand upwards. "I will stop throwing you once you learn to grow up."

"All I did was take the last of the tofu. You don't even eat it!"

"I wanted to try it!"

"Then say something before grabbing me by the hair and throwing me!"

"You're supposed to ask if anyone wants the last of the tofu before eating it."

"I'm the only one who eats it!"

"You can still ask!"

Gohan had his mouth open, but no words came out. He looked around, mouth still opened, as his hands were up near his chest. Gohan was completely flabbergasted.

Goku put his hand over his face. He was sitting at the table where Gohan and Bardock just were.

They were eating mere minutes earlier. There was one baked tofu on the plate. Neither Goku nor Bardock ate tofu, so Gohan just took it and ate it. Goku didn't see anything wrong with it, and Bardock continued eating. It wasn't until Bardock saw the empty plate, and asked what was on it. Gohan said it was tofu, and just ate the last one. Bardock stood up, grabbed Gohan by the hair, and threw him.

It has almost been three months in the time chamber, and the three saiyans were at their breaking point. Bardock hated the fact that Goku and Gohan were strong, and he always lost in a spar. He didn't like the fact that Gohan kept going deeper in the chamber, but neither he or Goku could stop him. Gohan would be gone for hours. Goku would get worried, but Bardock kept him at bay. They argued about it, and some fights escalated into a fist fight.

Goku easily over powered Bardock, but was afraid that he may hurt Bardock. When Goku went easy on Bardock, Bardock would insult him. Goku let it slide a few times, but there were some cases where Goku would punch him in the face. When Gohan trained on his own, Goku took the left side of the chamber to spare while Bardock stayed on the right.

Gohan training alone upset Goku, and when Gohan came back in bad shape Goku would yell at him. They always fought. Gohan would assure Goku that he was fine, but Bardock knew better. Goku and Bardock would double team Gohan, and Gohan would end up grounded. Gohan still snuck out, and either Goku or Bardock would get him. More yelling would occur.

In the end, everyone just did their own thing so no one would kill each other.

"Maybe…we should cut your hair Gohan," Goku suggested. It will at least save Gohan from being thrown all the time. Gohan looked at his long hair. Yep, it was time for a haircut.

"Have it styled like he had it on Namek," Bardock said. Gohan hated that haircut, and with Goku's facial expression matching Gohan's, Goku didn't like that idea either.

"You can do the dishes Bardock while I cut Gohan's hair."

"What do I look like, your maid?"

"If the feather duster fits," Gohan mumbled. Bardock shot a look at Gohan. His expression quickly changed. He ran to the table and grabbed a napkin.

"You're bleeding again," Bardock said as he stuffed a napkin up Gohan's nose.

It was the only time the trio had peace amongst each other. After the incident, Gohan started to bleed out of his ears or nose. He didn't pass out, and he said he felt fine, but Goku and Bardock found it hard to believe. Gohan told Bardock that he wasn't using his power much. Sometimes he had to, to see how long he could last deep in the Time Chamber. Bardock told him over and over to give it a rest, but Gohan never did. Goku wanted to leave, but Gohan assured him that he was fine.

Trust me Gohan always said, and unlike Piccolo Goku did.

"You should stop training that deep in the Time Chamber," Goku said walking over to Gohan. He looked at Gohan's ears and didn't see blood. "The pressure seems to be getting to you."

"Or he's thinking dirty thoughts," Bardock said.

"Maybe I get nose bleeds because you throw me at the wall all the time," Gohan commented. Bardock slowly nodded his head. He would feel a lot better if he knew what Gohan was seeing. "I'm okay Bardock."

"Right. Boss kept saying the same thing, and he wasn't okay."

"I'm not Boss."

"Not in this time." Bardock patted Gohan on the head. "You should get a leather jacket."

"Pfft."

"Is Boss a friend," Goku asked. "Can I meet him?"

Boss was Gohan in a different timeline. Gohan ran away after the Cell Games, and adopted a new life with a new name. Bardock always though Boss was the "cooler Gohan." Gohan didn't think the same thing.

"You don't want to meet him Dad. Boss is a total loser," Gohan answered, picturing himself in a leather jacket, tattoos, and having the same hobby as Master Roshi. There was no way he was going to choose that path after the Cell Games. (Yes I tossed in one of my stories. No I don't regret it!)

"You get your hair did and I'll do the dishes," Bardock said helping Gohan on the bed. Gohan rolled his eyes and shook his head. They have been in here way too long.

(Days later…)

Gohan powered up. He put his wrists together, and formed an energy ball between his hands. He was a super saiyan.

"Ha," he yelled. Goku, a super saiyan as well, smacked away the ki blast, and shot one of his own to Gohan. Gohan moved to the left to dodge the attack. Gohan appeared in front of Goku, and started to punch him repeatedly. Goku blocked the punches. Gohan flew back, and put his hand up. He wiggled his nose, and looked up. Goku flew closer.

"Gohan?"

"ACH-COO!" Gohan rubbed his nose with his arm. Goku, on the other hand, looked down at his outfit that was covered in snot. With a look of disgust, Goku floated back towards the ground. Gohan floated down as well. "Sorry Dad."

"It's okay Gohan," Goku said. "Let's take a break so I can get cleaned up."

"A break from what?"

Goku blinked.

"From sparring?"

Gohan titled his head to the side. He scrunched up his eyebrows.

"When were we sparring," Gohan asked.

Goku put his hand on Gohan's forehead. He didn't feel warm. Goku looked back at the housing area. Bardock was sleeping on one of the beds in his underwear. Unlike Gohan and Goku, Bardock didn't spread out all over the bed. He was sleeping on his stomach, one arm underneath the pillow while the other dangled off the bed. Goku grabbed Gohan's hand and walked over to the sleeping saiyan.

Goku bent down, and poked Bardock on the shoulder.

"Hey, Bardock. Wake up," Goku said poking Bardock. A moan was a reply, followed by the fluttering of his eyes.

"Whatever it is can wait," Bardock replied. He put his hand on Goku's chest to push him away, and slowly recoiled is back when t felt wet. "Since when do you sweat outside the armor?"

"It's not sweat." Bardock lifted his head off the pillow.

"…water?"

"Gohan sneezed on me, but that's not why I woke you up."

Bardock slowly turned his hand, and saw the thick, slimy mucus on his hand. With no place to wipe his hand, Bardock rubbed it in Goku's hair.

"Dammit Kakarot! You should have cleaned yourself up before waking me up," Bardock yelled while rubbing his hand furiously on Goku's head. He looked at his hand again, and got up from the bed. "I need a shower."

"Bardock I need to-"

"Then come with me. You too Gohan."

Bardock got out of the bed, and headed towards the bathroom.

"Bardock this is serious," Goku said walking beside his father. "Gohan and I were training. He sneezed and then couldn't remember sparring minutes before."

Bardock stopped, and turned towards Gohan.

"What does Kakarot mean you couldn't remember sparring," Bardock asked Gohan. "You two were going at it before I went to bed."

"We sparred earlier, and took a break," Gohan answered, not understanding what the big deal was. Goku shook his head in disagreement.

"That's not how Kakarot remembers it."

"But that's how I remember it."

"Kid you haven't been right in the head since…" Bardock's head popped up. He looked at Goku. "Can you get him a glass of water?"

"Yeah," Goku said with a nod. Bardock bent down to Gohan's level as Goku trotted over to the kitchen.

"Your visions are giving you a slight memory loss," Bardock whispered. "You've been using your power too much that your brain can't take it."

"I've only been using it when I'm training alone," Gohan whispered back.

"You have to stop Gohan. If you keep tapping into your visions you can cause some serious damage to yourself."

"But everything is changing because you're not a ghost here. Everything we are doing in the Time Chamber is wrong."

"We can't get in trouble here. As soon as we get I'm a ghost again." Gohan frowned, and looked at the ground. Bardock closed his eyes for a moment, took a deep breath, and put his hands on Gohan's shoulders. "I'm not going to have a physical body when we leave, but I'm not going to leave you Gohan. I will throw you on the bed everyday so you'll have something to remember my saiyan body by."

Goku arrived with the water.

"Here," he said handing it to Gohan.

"Thanks Dad."

Bardock stood up and turned his attention towards Goku.

"Gohan is not allowed to train anymore by himself. I think the dense air is killing brain cells," Bardock explained as Gohan drank his water. "He should be better in a few days. I'm going to shower, and go back to bed."

Bardock left the father and son. Gohan finished his glass and smiled.

"What are you smiling for," Goku asked. It wasn't Gohan's usual sneaky smile. It was actually a happy smile, one Goku hasn't seen in a while.

"I was just thinking about Cell, and how strong we are going to be," Gohan said handing Goku his empty glass. "I know you'll be able to defeat him easily Dad."

"Cell is strong, and getting stronger as we speak. Let's get cleaned up, and rest for a while. Care to join me for a bath?"

"Are you going to wash your hair before we go in? I don't want a bathtub filled with boogers."

"As long as you promise not to sneeze."

Gohan chuckled.

Bardock washed his hands in the kitchen sink, and making faces as he cleaned. Once his hands were clean, Bardock shook his hands dry. He didn't want to dirty a towel, especially since it was his week to do laundry. Bardock twitched his nose. He'll have to clean Goku's snot covered armor. Ugh.

Heading back over to the bed, Bardock looked over at the area where Goku and Gohan were. He felt uneasy as the two were talking. He didn't have to look into the future to know that Gohan will go off on his own again, and abuse his power. Now knowing there were serve consequences, Bardock had to figure out a way to get Gohan to stop. It was causing too much strain to the brain.

But how much damage did Gohan have?

Their training couldn't stop because of Gohan. There was a chance Gohan wouldn't be able to fight Cell, and he is the only hope Earth has. Goku was evenly matched against Cell. Vegeta wasn't strong enough for Cell in his perfect form, and everyone else were powerless against the android creation. There was a very slim chance Goku could defect Cell. That slim chance could happen if they stayed in the Time Chamber. If they left early for Gohan's sake, no one would be able to defeat Cell.

'I'll have to train with Kakarot to get him stronger,' Bardock thought to himself as he crawled back into bed. 'He's our only hope if Gohan can't defeat Cell.'

Gohan limped forward slowly, his left arm holding his right shoulder. He knew he was going to be in a lot of trouble when he reached the building. He couldn't think of any excuses to give to his father and Bardock on why his shoulder was out of the socket, or the fact his leg may or may not be broken. He was able to put some pressure on his leg, so it wasn't fully broken. If he continued to walking then there was a slight chance the pressure would snap the bone. He wanted to fly but he used up all of his energy training.

Goku had some senzu beans for emergencies, and right now, in his shape, a senzu bean was needed…badly! All Gohan had to do was be sneaky. He quietly left Bardock and Goku when there were sleeping to train for an hour or so. Gohan lost track of time, and didn't know how long he was away. Sending prayers to…Dende hasn't be brought to Earth yet, and Kami is now Piccolo…sending prayers to Mr. Popo, Gohan begged for the older saiyans to be sleeping.

"Stop going easy on me," Bardock yelled. Gohan froze in his steps once he heard Bardock.

Curse you Mr. Popo.

"I don't want to hurt you," Gohan heard his father say.

New plan: Quietly sneak back without his father or Bardock catching him. Wait for their training to continue, and, if needed, fly into the building and fix what's broken, and about to be broken.

"This is why Gohan doesn't train with you Kakarot. You're too easy on him."

Just continue fighting. Save the chit-chat for later.

"But he's my son."

"Yeah, and if Gohan's mind is taken over by some wizard in the future, are you going to go easy on him as well?"

That was that possibility. Gohan was going to take care of Babidi before the Martial Arts Tournament. There was going to be any Majin Vegeta, Majin Piccolo, or even a Majin himself.

Gohan saw the two specks floating in the air. If he could notice the speck up there, the specks could see him down there. Maybe if he quietly made his way over…

"Is that a possibility," Goku asked seriously.

"Well I'm just assuming," Bardock answer. The peck in the air had its arms out. Quietly shuffle back to the building. "I'm just saying that you can't go easy on your offspring because you're afraid to hurt him. I didn't go easy on Radtiz when I trained him."

"Raditz was a tough opponent."

"It took two people to kill him, and you would have survived that fight if you didn't let go of his tail. Can't you see Kakarot? Your kindness to the enemy will get you killed!"

"So are you saying there's a chance that one day Gohan will kill me?"

"I don't know. Maybe."

"Can you see the future or something?"

Gohan froze.

There was a sick feeling in his stomach. Quickly tapping into his power, Gohan's eyes went wide in fear.

"Can you Gohan?" Gohan looked up and saw his father looking down at him. "Can you see the future?"
