Author's Notes: This is a really special chapter, and for it I have decided to write in Freed's point of view. In this chapter, I am introducing an arc involving Freed's relationship with Laxus. You see, Freed has a complicated relationship with Laxus, one that I can very much relate to. Many gay men can probably relate to this type of relationship as well, having feelings for straight men who will never have the same feelings for you.

Freed

Ten years ago

We were just teenagers then. So young and free, living without a worry in the world, and a lot of cares to give. It was a hill, I remember it now. A green hill amidst the dark blue sky. Earlier that day, Laxus had been proclaimed Fairy Tail's next S-class mage. He deserved it, I thought. Of course he did; nobody deserved it more than Laxus.

I sat atop the hill overlooking the expansive meadow. It was greying green as far as my eyes could stretch, and above on the skyline, night was falling. It was beautiful. Life seemed so perfect then. Well, not perfect, but beautiful. It seemed endless, like the green of the grass and the grey of the sky.

As the first twinkle of a star appeared, I heard footsteps behind me, padding softly on the grass. I didn't need to turn my head to know who it was. "Congratulations," I said with my head still looking ahead.

Laxus took a few steps forward before crouching down and sitting beside me, "Thanks, Freed."

I turned my head slightly and gave him a hint of a smile, then back to gaze at the sky. I asked him, "What brings you here?"

"What brings you here? The party is still going strong."

"Nature." I said. "Beautiful, isn't it?" I asked of the meadow and the quarter moon now bright enough to be seen.

Laxus uprooted a handful of grass and held it in a fist. Smoke puffed from within his clenched palm, burning the strands of spring. "I guess." I turned my head to him. His eyes were fixated on the sky now, and I looked at him. Laxus never cared much about the ways of nature, I thought. He wanted power. Power is absolute to him. Perhaps he didn't know how much power could be gained from nature. But I liked him that way.

I loved him that way.

...

...

I would often wonder what he would think if he could read my mind. Perhaps he would think I was sick. Perhaps he would walk away the moment he knew the truth. That I loved him. That I formed the Raijinshuu to get closer to him. I turned my face away then, back to the sky.

He asked, "So, are you dating anyone?"

The question was completely out of the blue I blushed at the sound of it. "Why do you ask me that?" I hid my face so he wouldn't see the red on my cheeks, but he seemed to know.

"No reason. Just figured you were interested in Evergreen or something. You know, I don't mind the two of you dating. Just don't shove it in my face- there's more than enough drama in the world for me."

I looked at him, then. Of course he wasn't gay. Someone as strong and manly as Laxus couldn't possibly be gay, could he? Impossible, I thought. I shook my head, "No, not Evergreen." I stammered, "Well, there's… someone else."

His ears piqued with interest, I could tell. "And…?" he asked.

"She is definitely not interested in someone like me." I said. I wanted to say that it was him I loved, but I didn't have the guts to. Or at least say it was a 'he', but again, I didn't have the guts to.

"What are you talking about?" Laxus laughed as he put his arm around me. I blushed as he touched me, sweat forming on my temples. "You're a great guy. Any woman would be lucky to have you!"

I chuckled awkwardly, then he stood up. "Well, I'm heading back to the party. Are you coming?"

I shook my head, "Not now." I heard him trudging away then, and I felt the breeze sweep through my hair and into my right ear. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, I was in a cell and it was ten years later.

What a dream that was, I thought. Brings back too many memories.

I snapped out of my thoughts and into the present. The cell was cold, dingy and dark. Lit with nothing but a small candle flame perched near the ceiling, the cell wasn't much higher than my height. I sat down by the brick walls, the concrete having crumbled away into dust, chained by the feet. I didn't know Tenrou had a cell like this. What was it even built for? Whatever the answer was, I didn't really care.

It has been like this since the day we tried to fight back against him. Yes, him. Azuma. He obliterated us on the field. He stripped Master Laxus naked and treated him like an object. Then he imprisoned us, the Raijinshuu, each in a separate cell. I don't know where the hell are Bickslow and Evergreen. For all I know, they could as well be dead. Everyday, I have been fed once a day with a serving of what lies between shit and food. I try to keep a level head by hoping that Laxus is thinking of an escape plan, or that a member of Fairy Tail pays the occasional visit to Tenrou and finds us. But hope is wearing thin.

Suddenly, footsteps. I was hearing footsteps. Four feet. Two pairs of legs. Two people were approaching. I heard chains, jangling, louder by the second. One of the two had platform boots, I could tell, the big ones. They sounded heavy. The other one was barefooted. The sound of the dust kicking as he walked was clear.

I noticed the silhouettes in front of the metal cell door holding me in. They were both large men, I could tell, and then, their figures came to light. It was Laxus. And Azuma. My heart pounded. It has been weeks of sitting, my hope draining everyday, but the sight of Laxus gave me a huge glimmer of hope. Instantly, my eyes lit up. I shouted, "Master Laxus! You're okay! What about Bickslow? And Evergreen?"

"They are fine," Laxus smiled shyly. He was completely naked from head to toe. "Are you?"

"Yes, I am!" I replied with reassurance but concern over him.

Azuma then turned a key at the lock, and the metal door was open. He kicked Laxus in, and his face planted at the ground, the dust marking his face. I yelled, "Hey, what the fuck do you think you're doing?!"

I crawled towards Laxus' body and reached out my hand, placing it on his shoulder. I turned to Azuma and gave him an angry look as he re-locked the door behind him. "Let us go!" I demanded.

"Laxus, are you going to let this scum take that tone with me?" Azuma said.

Laxus raised his head, his chains jangling as he did, and said to me, "Freed, it's game over. We have lost."

I tried to take control of my breath. What is he talking about? Laxus never gives up. There must be a plan. Laxus must have a plan, doesn't he? A plan to escape and get out of here?

Somehow, Laxus had read my mind and knew that I was expecting an escape strategy. Unfortunately, he shook his head. "There's no plan. No plan. The plan is to surrender. He has won. Master Azuma has won."

The words 'no plan' resounded strongly in my head, but worse, the word 'Master'. Did Laxus just call that bastard 'Master'? Floored, I asked, "Master… Master what? Master Azuma?!" I said with disbelief, "You are calling him 'Master'?! What the fuck?!"

"Yes. Now, my priority is to keep you, Bickslow, and Evergreen safe. There is nothing more important than that, and if that means following his orders, then I have no choice."

Azuma then chuckled from the corner of the room. He looked me straight into the eyes and said, "Listen to Laxus, Freed. I have won. Your Master has decided to forfeit and shed his ego to keep you safe. Shouldn't you honour his wishes?" I turned my head to Laxus and looked at him with distraught. He returned me another desperate look, albeit sadder. I could see from his eyes he had gone through some fucked up shit to get to this point. It was like he was actually telling me that there was no hope left for us. There was no way… Laxus… Laxus is one of the most powerful mages in Fiore. There is no way he is giving up…

"Well, let's get to why I convened the two of you in this room." Azuma said. "You see, Freed, I am testing how far Laxus is willing to go to actually protect his comrades like he said he would. I would like to see how far Laxus is willing to go to protect you.

"This is a test for both of you. If either of you fails to follow my orders," he said while looking at me, "I will kill you, Freed. Perhaps tonight, or tomorrow, or next week. But rest assured, I will. Do you understand?"

"No." I said, my tone stern and unyielding. "Nobody is doing anything for you."

"Freed." Laxus said, "Listen to him. If he kills you, it will be on my hands, and I will not let that stand."

"Then let him kill me." I said to Laxus, but my eyes did not pan from Azuma. I was challenging him. I wasn't afraid. "I told you I would die for you."

"Don't be stupid!" Laxus reprimanded, "Do you think it is only your life on the line? Bickslow… And Evergreen… Don't be selfish."

My eyes returned to Laxus. His face was dirty. His hair was messy. His entire body was covered with dirt and dust. If only... If only we weren't in Tenrou, we would have magic and at least we would be able to put up a fair fight. But I couldn't wander to the impossible. I had to face the facts that we were trapped and powerless, and the only way to survive, the only way to protect each other is to obey Azuma. Laxus must have sacrificed things himself, things he didn't know he would have to sacrifice, to keep us alive to this point. If Laxus said that we would have to obey Azuma, I would have to concur. I had no choice, either. The fight was gone from my face.

I slowly heaved a breath, "Fine. I'll do as he says, Master. But I'm doing this only because you want me to."

Laxus nodded. He sat himself up, turned his head towards Azuma, then asked, "What do you want us to do?"

Azuma smirked. He then looked at me, then said, "Freed, I want you to use Laxus."

"What the hell does that mean?" I asked. I looked at Laxus, whose expression showed that he had a clue what would happen, and his expression did not scream joy or happiness. It yelled angst and suffering.

"It means, I want you to do whatever it takes to make Laxus cum."

...

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed. "The fuck?! Are you out of your mind?! WHY THE HELL DO YOU WANT ME TO DO THAT?!"

"Because I want to teach Laxus a lesson. This is something Laxus should learn in order to become an obedient slave. Being harassed and molested and used by the man he trusts and relies most in the world, that is you, Freed, would destroy and shatter every ounce of dignity left in him. If you use him like the slave he is supposed to be, Laxus will soon forget his leadership and accept his destiny as my one and true slave."

...

...

...

My jaw dropped. This guy named Azuma... This guy is... fucked up.

Azuma continued his instructions, "I want you to use Laxus' body in whatever way you please. I want you to use him like a slave, like a toy, like he was nothing more than a doll to you. You will lick and kiss and touch whatever part of Laxus' body you need to break him down. You need to make him moan like a bitch and weak under your touch. When you are done with him, he would be completely broken down and ready to accept his state as my full-fledged slave."

I was speechless. I was heartbroken. I asked Laxus, "Is that what he has been trying to do to you all this time?! Turning you into his personal sex slave?!"

Laxus answered, "Yes, Freed, and you will do as he says."

"I'm so sorry, Master Laxus... I didn't know..." I said.

Azuma cut me, "Laxus is not just a sex slave to me. I have many plans for Laxus. This is just a small part of my plans for him."

"Listen to me, Freed…" Laxus reassured me. "I am sorry that you have to suffer because of me… But we have to do this. For Bickslow and Evergreen. We have to protect them. Together. And we need to protect each other." Laxus then knelt before me, his knees planted on the dirt, and bowed his head, "Make me cum, Freed. I beg you."

...

...

When the words 'Make me cum, Freed' escaped Laxus' lips, my entire world was shaken. My heart pounded so strongly. My entire body became hot. It was like being told I had won the lottery. Having been madly in love with Laxus ever since the day he recruited me, to hear those words… It floored me.

"Yes… Master…" I stuttered. The words couldn't even come out. "I will… I will make you… cum… I promise…"

Laxus raised his head and smiled at me. I was blushing so heavily at this point, but I didn't think he noticed. He then said, "Promise me one more thing, Freed."

"Yes, Master… What is it…?" I approached him and placed my hands on his shoulders, one on each side. Our faces were slowly approaching each other.

He then whispered, "Promise me you won't hold back. When you touch and use me, try to imagine that woman you told me you're in love with years ago. Do to me what you would do to her."

I gulped. Beads of sweat rolled down my head despite the fact that the cell was intensely cold. At that moment, I wanted to tell him so badly. I wanted to tell him so badly that there was no woman, that the person I was in love with was him. But instead, I nodded and said, "I promise. I won't hold back."

I brought my lips got closer to his, then he said, "For Bickslow and Evergreen."

I smiled, "For Bickslow and Evergreen." Then I kissed him.
