When the bell for lunch had finally rung, Elsa calmly got out of her seat as she normally would. She was in a great deal of a hurry, but no one needed to know that. She wanted people to think she was stoic for a reason. When she walked out of her class room, instead of going to the library where she normally would go and visit with Anna, she went the opposite way. The kids walked around her, however walking through so many kinds, you may as well have walked against a strong current. But Elsa prevailed nonetheless. And when she was sure everyone was out, she slipped out one of the emergency exits. The alarm system for when the door wasn't supposed to be open had been turned off. That's what Elsa had been told anyway when she had first arrived to the school was taken on the tour. Something about the maintenance bill becoming expensive.

"I'm just glad they turned it off" Elsa muttered to herself as she slipped out. She put her belongings in the shadow of the concrete stairs she went down. Once complete she ran to the woods on the other side of the school grounds. But what the blonde didn't know was that Anna had seen her walking down the hall. And she was determined to find out why her blonde friend was acting so strange. So she began to follow her. But to evade detection, Anna stayed behind when Elsa had snuck out the emergency exit. When she was sure Elsa was gone, Anna came out and pursued her. Gazing out the window, the silent red-head saw the blonde jogging towards the woods. But why?

Why is she going in there? Is there something in the woods?

Anna thought as she too went through the exit. She followed Elsa to the woods, but lost sight of her when the two entered the woods.

Where did she go? I wasn't that far behind her!

Anna thought in surprise as she anxiously began to look around. Anna knew that she couldn't venture too far in, because the possibility of getting lost was fair. Anna stood in one spot for a good solid minute before walking again. Lunch was only thirty-five minutes; So Anna's search time was limited.

Where is she? No one disappears that fast! I could at least still hear her walking!

Anna thought with a quiet huff as she continued into the woods. She looked for a good ten minutes, but saw no sign of the elusive blonde. A sudden snap of a twig caught Anna's attention. She looked around, but saw nothing. At first anyway. A few moments later, another snap sounded in the woods. Anna's head whipped around and she jumped in fright before placing a slightly shaky hand on her chest. Not too far away was a little squirrel was bounding around a tree, stuffing its cheeks.

Why to go Anna, you almost got a heart attack from a squirrel!

Anna thought in aberration to herself. She then let an amused smile glide onto her face. She couldn't believe that she let a squirrel scare her. It was funny now. But when she turned back, she let out a raspy noise of surprise. In front of her now, shockingly enough, was Snow.

"Anna what on earth are you doing here, don't you have school?" Snow asked, clearly surprised that Anna was out here. Anna took out her phone and typed furiously.

Elsa was acting strange today and when I saw her walk outside, I followed her, but then I lost her. But what are you doing here?

Then the phone speaker stopped and Anna cast Snow a curious look. Snow however didn't seem fazed.

"Well, I was. . . . Exploring, that's it, and I just so happened to fall into the school property. Now about your friend, I didn't see anyone and I have been out here for a while" Snow said as he raised a paw in a nonchalant gesture. But Anna didn't seem convinced. She began to type again. Then she let the message play,

I don't know Snow, is it a coincidence that when I can't find Elsa, and you just so happened to show up?

Then the message went silent again. And a look of heavy suspicion laid on Anna's freckled face. There was a silence between the two friends, Snow however kept his face mutual.

"Things like that have happened before believe it or not, in stories and such" Snow said coolly with his best version of a shrug. Anna kept her gaze for a few more moments. She was still dissatisfied with the answer she got, but she would let it go. For now anyway. There was still their visit tonight. So she could question him then. Suddenly the brush started to rustle a few feet away. Snow flared his black nose and his eyes widened,

"Listen Anna we can talk later than he ran away. And just as his tail disappeared, Elsa appeared; she appeared disheveled, with a few twigs in her hair.

"Damn, looks like I-" then Elsa noticed Anna, giving her a rather incredulous look.

"A-Anna, what are you doing out here?" Elsa asked with a mixture of suspicion and surprise and a bit of nervousness. Which was something, Anna had never heard in the blonde's voice before.

Anna began to type for the third time since she had been outside. When she finished up, she approached the blonde, with a look of skepticism on her face. She then handed the blonde her phone and waited for to read it.

"I heard you were acting strange today from some other students. They kept saying that you were staring out every window during and between classes. And when I saw you sneak outside, I got worried and came looking for you. So what are you doing out here?" Elsa read aloud. She looked at the message again, and then to Anna, whose face had fallen to that of a worried state.

"Oh, well, to be honest, I really liked the way the forest looked, so that's why I kept looking out the windows. And when the bell rang, I decided to come look around the woods a bit. So I'm sorry if I worried you" Elsa explained. But to Anna, it sounded as if it had been rehearsed. So she began to type once more. However this message didn't take that long, since she passed it to Elsa not a moment later.

"Why don't I believe you for some reason" Elsa read. But when she looked up, she saw a playful look on Anna's face. Elsa blinked at first, before a breathless giggle escaped her lips. It appeared that Anna had played with her.

"Oh you had me, oh what is that American expression, you had me running? No no, Going! Yes you had me going there for a moment " Elsa grinned. Anna than gave her a meaningful, yet light, slap on the shoulder. And then she motioned for her phone to be returned.

That's right blondie you keep thinking that, but I'll figure out why you were out here. Maybe I can corner her if I get her in a corner.

Anna thought with deviancy. A sudden idea popped into her mind. And she began to type a text. Then she practically shoved the phone into the blonde's hands.

"Would you like to sleep over this weekend?" Elsa said reading the message. She looked up at Anna who had a hopeful look in her eyes. But she missed the glint of hidden intention in Anna's summer blue eyes.

"Well, I suppose I could, I am rather interested to see your farm anyway" Elsa smiled. Anna then jumped around in victory. But it was short-lived, when Elsa suggested that they head back, before someone noticed the two were missing together. She didn't want anyone getting the wrong idea about the situation. That and Anna's stomach all but roared. Anna had skipped lunch to come and find Elsa.

"You skipped lunch you crazy girl, come on, I believe there is enough time to get you fed" Elsa giggled when she saw the look of embarrassment on Anna's face. She thought she looked absolutely adorable.

For the rest of the lunch period, Anna had been hounded by Megara and Mulan about her disappearance. They shot assumptions left and right. One involving Anna and Elsa being romantically involved. Anna's face went hot at the thought, but she flat out hit Meg for making that suggestion. Face still red as a cherry. But after at least ten more assumptions, Anna finally told them what actually happened, minus her rather brief meet up with Snow.

"So you're telling me that you deliberately followed the new girl, someone you've known for a maybe a month now, into the school woods, because you were worried about her?" Mulan asked. Anna gave a confirming nod. This made Meg sigh,

"Ginger Snap, I think you are too kind for your own good" Anna then beamed. She took pride in being kind to her friends. New or not.

"So that brings us to the sleep over, it's just going to be you and snow queen huh" Mulan said suggestively elbowing Anna in her ribs. Anna rolled her eyes and gave an 'it's not like that' look. But Mulan didn't buy it.

"Honey, it's so obvious your into Elsa, I'm just proud you finally decided to act on it. But a sleepover might be too bold" Mulan laughed. Anna puffed out her cheeks with a light blush.

There is nothing wrong with a sleepover! Besides it'll give me a chance to get know her better, and possibly find out if she's single, wait, what? No the plan is to find out why Elsa was out in the woods!

Anna thought with her blush growing brighter now.

"Uh huh, see, that right there is whats proving my point" Mulan chuckled. Meg hummed in agreement. Anna simply rolled her eyes and waved off her friend's words. This sleepover was going to be strictly for knowledge sake darn it! Nothing more, and nothing less; at least that's what she kept telling herself.

When sixth period rolled around, Anna had become excited. Today they would begin learning sewing techniques. And Mrs. Potts had said that their first project was everyone creating their own apron. Which would be used when they started the cooking part of the class. As she hopped up the stairs, she couldn't help but grin to herself. She never did learn to sew, so this would be good. Heaven knows she's torn several pairs of working jeans and shirts, helping with the fences, or catching herself on loose rabbit age wire.

I may need this lesson more than I thought I did

Anna laughed inwardly as she finally made it to the classroom. Not many of the other students had made it in yet. But when Anna looked at her seat, she saw Elsa already sitting at their lab table. This didn't surprise Anna that much. Elsa, from what Anna could guess, probably always made it to class first. But hey, better to be very early then to be extremely late.

When Anna took her place next to the blonde, she had accidentally grazed her wrist against the girl's arm, and along with the sudden jolt of electricity came frigid touch. Elsa was freezing! Then without thinking, Anna opened her bag and pulled a light material jacket. She then put it on the blonde's shoulders. Elsa, who didn't realize Anna's arrival until the jacket was suddenly placed on her person, jumped at the foreign feeling. She turned, and saw that Anna was sitting next to her, and a strong look of concern was on her face.

"Anna, whats the matter? Is this your jacket?" Elsa asked when she pointed to the fabric on her. Anna nodded, then tilted her head slightly in confusion, as if trying to figure out something.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Is something the matter?" Elsa continued to ask. And again, Anna nodded. She took out her phone and began to text with vigor. When she finished, she passed her phone to the curious and confused blonde beside her.

"How are you not shivering? You are absolutely freezing!" Elsa read. She blinked a few times before the message properly set in.

"Oh yes, well I'm quite fine I assure you, but to be honest, the cold never bothered me anyway" Elsa giggled, as if remembering a private joke. Anna still gave her a skeptical look. Sure some people lived for the cold, but the way Elsa's skin felt, she may as well have just came out of the arctic waters! No one could be that cold, and not somehow be affected by it. With an airy sigh, Anna just decided to add Elsa's unnatural coldness to one of the things she could ask her about even further, at the sleepover this weekend. Soon more students began to file in, and Anna settled in her seat. But her mind began to process questions again. About both Elsa and Snow. They were both suspicious of something, Anna could feel it.
