Hello again! I've been getting kind of behind on this story, unfortunately I had some life I had to deal with, but that's over now, so have another chapter! Or two. I don't care.

McCoy opened his eyes to see a pair of pointy ears sitting at the end of his bed. "Spock?" he asked, holding his head. He had a splitting headache. "What are you doing here? Did Jim beam down?" he asked with a little trepidation. He reached over to the nightstand and grabbed a hypospray for his hangover. Spock stared at him, judging. He didn't even drink that much last night. Damn, he was getting too old.

Spock stood and said, "The captain asked me to wait here for you to wake and inform you that he will return shortly. He has told me that he will be taking shore leave here, on the ship."

McCoy sighed heavily with relief. "So, it'll just be the three of us, then?"

Spock shook his head. "The captain asked me to beam down to, 'keep an eye on things.' I must transport down now." He turned to leave as McCoy laughed and called, "Have fun!" Spock just gave him the eyebrow and left. McCoy sighed again and stood up to make himself at least a bit presentable. The hypospray had worked quickly, so now he just looked like shit. It had left him a little tired, and very hungry.

Jim found him sitting up in bed reading. He was reading Shakespeare, an ancient Erath classic. Romeo and Juliet. Sometimes ridiculous, but he found himself actually enjoying it. He never really rad for fun, but with all this free time he had taken it up. He set aside Shakespeare and asked, "So what've you been up to?"

"I changed, stopped in to check on the bridge, nothing too exciting. The question is, what do you want to do today?"

McCoy stood up and stretched, and said, "I don't know about you, but I'm starving. I could go for a huge breakfast."

Jim smiled and lit up with an idea. "I know! Let's make breakfast! Like a real breakfast, with bacon and eggs, toast, waffles, fresh coffee.."

McCoy could kiss him. 'I'm sold. Real food – fantastic!"

Yay breakfast! I'm hungry…. Don't judge….
