A/n: I am an emotional wreck after watching the first two episodes of Series 5 of Glee. I literally can't bring myself to watch episode 3 just yet. Santana all scared and nervous was what threw me, it was just the most adorable thing I have ever seen in my life and I just made me fall more in love with her. Finally I am actually getting onto writing this. I have been way to distracted by Downtown Abby so I haven't actually been writing recently. Sorry about that. I really should start getting into writing again. That is if you guys are still here and reading this story. I wouldn't blame you if you had given up on me.
Sebastian's eyes fluttered open, for a moment he wondered whose arms he was wrapped up in, yet it took him a mere few seconds to realise that it was Hunter Clarrington. A smile came to his face, he had missed this, just missed waking up in his arms, sure it had only been a couple of days since he had, but that didn't mean that he missed it any less. The very thought that he had had a good as dumped him was insane. He couldn't even think straight about it all. Sure he had been angry with Hunter, yet he had managed to fix everything and Sebastian had to thank him for that.
He turned over to face Hunter, who was still asleep, or at least he seemed to be, Sebastian couldn't be sure if he was faking it or not, so he decided to put things to the test, he leant forwards slightly and pressed a kiss to the side of his head, before sitting up and making to get out of bed, only to have Hunter's arm tighten around him.
"Don't you dare, Smythe." Hunter's eyes opened and he smiled softly up at his boyfriend and pulled him back down, pinning him down with his leg "I am not about to let you get up without a proper kiss" he grinned at him.
Before Sebastian even had time to respond Hunter had crashed his lips up against his and kissed him hungrily. His tongue pushing into his mouth and dominating, something that Sebastian wasn't going to let go.
Without a moment of warning he flipped them over, so that it was Hunter underneath him, and leaving Sebastian totally in charge. "So I was think about Regionals, and since you are disqualified that makes me in charge of our dear Warblers."
"Just for Regionals as soon as you win that trophy and get us place at Nationals I am in charge. In charge of the Warblers and in charge of you. Do we have a deal?"
Sebastian sat him, straddling Hunter's waist still and fold his arms to his chest, gazing down a the flustered boy beneath him "I thought we agreed in that hotel room the night before Sectionals that we were both going to be in charge. Co Captains."
"I know what I said, but there has to be one of us in charge over the other, sort of like manager and assistant manager, if you catch my drift." Hunter returned
"I knew there was a catch, there is always a catch with you, even when you say that there isn't." he climbed off him and walked over to his wardrobe and pulled out a new blazer and shirt, before dropping them onto his bed and bending over to get a pair of pants from the drawers in the corner of the room.
"You really do suck at being mad at me, you and I both know you can't stay mad at me for long, my blow jobs are way too hard to give up and secondly, you know I would never make you look a fool in front of the other guys. How about we let them put it to a vote? It can even be done secretly. They can put a tick on a bit of paper for me and a cross for you."
Sebastian turned around to face him "How come I have to get the cross and you get the tick?" he said, his arms once again folding to his chest and trying not to let the amusement, hat he was feeling inside, show upon his face.
Hunter laughed "Because, although I might be the right man for the job, which is what earns me the tick and not you, they would all much rather shove their tongues down your throat than mine so that earn you the cross which represents the kiss."
This time it was Sebastian's turn to laugh. "I really do love the way that twisted mind of yours works." he said to him, walking back over and sitting down on the end of the bed, pressing his lips to Hunter's again for a brief moment. "I really have to take a shower, want it after me?" he asked him.
"Can't I join you?" Hunter said to him with a sly smile.
"No, because me and you in the shower together would just defeat the purpose of having a shower in the first place, you can wait your turn. Read a book or something whilst you wait."
Hunter pouted, yet he couldn't complain. He knew that Sebastian was right, plus he was just grateful to have him back in his arms again and be with him once more. He would have done anything to have him back and now that he did he was going to do everything in his power to make sure that he was happy to be with him.
Sebastian rose to his feet and pulled off the boxer shorts that he had worn to bed, leaving him stark naked in the middle of the room, a sight that Hunter couldn't stop himself from staring at, for a few moments Sebastian just stood there. "So what is it to be? Do you want the water after me? Or would you rather have a shower tonight."
"I will have one later. I have a free first period. I will just have one then whilst you are sat in class" Hunter replied, forcing himself to look away from Sebastian and picking up the book he had started to read the other night. He heard the closing of the bathroom door and a small clicking sound, before the sound of running water filled his ears. He tried to concentrate on the book in front of him, yet he simply found himself getting to distracted by the thought of Sebastian naked in the shower, dripping wet, water pouring off his body. It was just too hot to think about. He shook his head slightly and forced himself to pay attention to the words on the pages. Yet it seemed that he wasn't destined to read much, he had barely read a few pages before there was a frantic knock upon the door followed by a voice that asked "Can I come in? I need help"
Hunter put down his book and pulled on a t-shirt before heading to the door and opening it. Coming face to face with the girl that was going to become his wife at the end of the school year. She looked shaken to the bone, yet somehow not in a bad way. He stepped aside to allow her to enter the room. He closed the door and turned to look at her.
Santana had sat down at the desk. "I don't know what to do. I have never felt like this before and it scares me I am getting that stinky panic sweat under my boobs. I am freaking out"
Hunter rested his hands upon her shoulders. "Okay first of all, calm down. Nothing is worth getting your knickers in such a twist over. Just breathe" he handed her a bottle of water, which she took and took a long drink from before replacing the lid and placing it upon the desk.
"I met this girl, and she is funny and amazing and she's a lesbian and I think I might really like her. I feel these things in my nether regions when I am with her and her smile just sends shivers down my spine" Santana said to him.
Hunter could almost smell the nerves on this girl and it was so cute. He had never seen Santana a wreck of nerves like this before and it had to be the most the most adorable thing that he had ever witnessed in his life. She was always so cool and confident and ready for any situation. Yet he didn't want to put her on the spot of all that and make her even more nervous. "So what is wrong with that? You're a lesbian, if you like he just ask her out."
Santana shook her head slightly "I can't. I tried and I just blabbered something about having to go and left. She probably think I am an idiot, and she would be right."
"I am sure she doesn't think that. If she does then that doesn't mean that she doesn't like you. Anyone would be insane to let go, you are beautiful, Santana. If she lets you go and passes up on a chance to be with you then she is the idiot, not you." Hunter smiled, sitting himself upon the desk next to her.
"I just feel so nervous around her, its weird I have never felt like that around anyone. Not even Brittany. I loved her once and I still do" Santana looked up at him "Help me out here. You are gay, you have been with gay guys how did you deal with it, getting all nervous and not knowing what to say or do."
Hunter was a little confused. "You have been with girls, what did you do then? I know for a fact that you are more than experienced with girls, so why is this one any different?"
"Because she is an actual lesbian. I have never been with a lesbian before, it's always been Bisexuals, like Brittany or girls that just wanted to experiment."
Hunter wanted to laugh, yet managed to hold it back, so as not to scare her anymore. "Don't let that hold you back, if you like her then go for it. Like I said she'd be the idiot if she passed up on being with you."
Santana smiled slightly. She certainly felt better for coming to talk to Hunter. She'd been so nervous before and knew that if anyone could make her see things in the light that she wanted then it was Hunter. He always seemed so confident, even when she knew that the situation must have made it impossible to be. "Thanks" she said softly
"You're welcome." Hunter smiled.
Santana climbed to her feet and headed for the door. "I should be going, Glee Club, and who'd want to miss out on another lesson of the Rachel Berry show" she said, a nervous smile still upon her face, as she reached forwards and took hold of the door handle.
"Santana!" Hunter called to her, still perched upon the desk. She spun around to face Hunter, which prompted him to speak again. "Forget about us getting married. I don't think your new girlfriend is going to want you married to another guy. I know I wouldn't if I were in her shoes."
Santana simply frowned "But what about..." she began, yet Hunter cut her off, by raising his hand and speaking "Leave my dad to me. He isn't your problem, if he can't accept me for who I am then he isn't the parent I raised him to be."
Santana smiled. "You sure? I am sure I could explain things to her and let her know that its only to keep him off your back and that nothing is ever happening between us."
"Its fine, honestly. You deserve your happy ending and being married to me is never going to lead you down that path. She'd always be jealous. Even if she never said it. You know that Santana, think how you would feel if it were her married to a guy just to keep his dad happy. What's her name by the way? This girl of yours that had got under your skin"
Santana blushed slightly, something that certainly didn't happen very often. "Danielle, or Dani as I think she prefers" she replied with a smile "Anyway. I will be seeing you."
Hunter nodded towards her and flashed her a warm smile as she left. For a while, exactly how long he wasn't all that sure, he simply stared at the door. Part of him wondered if he had just dreamt all that. Why would Santana have come to him for advice and guidance, the pair of them were not exactly close, at least not closer enough that he would trust her with his heart. Yet maybe she saw things differently to him, perhaps she had come here looking for Sebastian's help. Either way she seemed to be more confident now. He only hoped that things would work out for her.
"Was that Santana Lopez I heard you talking to? What did she want?" Sebastian asked as he stepped out of the bathroom, his voice made Hunter jump. He hadn't even realised that he had turned off the shower. He wondered just how long he had been out, maybe listening to their muffled voice behind the door, or could he hear everything?
"Yeah, she was nervous and panicky" Hunter replied, his eyes wandering over Sebastian's body as he dropped the towel to get himself dressed.
"Santana? Nervous and panicky? Yeah, right" Sebastian said with a small scoff. It was certainly hard to believe.
"Seriously. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen and I have seen you all heart melting under the power of my words."
Sebastian looked up at him "That I find very hard to believe" he said with a smile, pulling up his trousers and fastening his belt. "What was she so nervous about anyway?"
"She met a girl, a lesbian and she was all nervous about having never been with a lesbian and only with Bisexuals and experimenting girls and all that lot"
"Okay, tell me later, it sounds way too complicated for me to make sense of in the morning. Just like bloody Calculus. Seriously, why have Calculus first thing in the morning? It's ridiculous, especially since I am not in the same class as you, because you are in the class for smart arses that can multiply faster than a calculator."
"I can't multiply that fast." Hunter laughed. "At least I don't think I can."
"36 times 57" Sebastian said to him.
"You are so not giving me maths problems at this time of the morning" Hunter raised his eyebrow and jumped off the desk.
"Well if you can't solve the problem I guess I was wrong about you being a smart arse. Maybe I should tell your teacher that you need to be put down a class."
"Two thousand and fifty two" Hunter grinned "Check it on your phone if you don't believe me." he stepped towards Sebastian and grabbed his tie from the bed, before wrapping I around his boyfriends neck and tying it for him
"Its okay I will take your word for it." Sebastian laughed "Although I am perfectly sure I can tie my own tie"
"I know, I just wanted an excuse to be near you and touch you, whilst you were getting dressed. Surely you can't protest at that." Hunter smiled, leaning forwards and pressing his lips to his , his fingers wrapping around Sebastian's tie and pulling him into closer to him. Their tongues clashing against one another. Sebastian let out a soft groan, he still had his blazer to pull on and he only had a few minutes free before he had to get down to class, then there was his hair to sort out. Yet he was trapped in Hunter's kiss, he couldn't pull away from him.
Finally Hunter pulled away for a breath of air, his fingers letting go of Sebastian's tie, allowing him to put on his blazer. "On and I am not marrying Santana anymore. So you may just get a marriage proposal at some point in the future. Maybe next year some time, after we have graduated." Hunter kissed him briefly on the lips "Now, go. Get to class. I don't want you in detention for being late again"
"Why not? Do you really care if I get a detention tonight or not? I am sure you could find a few ways to amuse yourself" Sebastian replied to him, walking over the desk and grabbing the tub of hair gel, taking a small dollop and running his fingers through his hair to straighten it out.
"Because, Smythe" Hunter called from the bathroom, where he had now walked to, in order to maybe run a bath, it had been so long since he'd had one of those, normally it was just a shower, yet he felt like he deserved a good bath. "I am taking you out tonight. On a proper date, somewhere fancy"
"You are? Why? Where?" Sebastian found himself asking. His heart was racing in his chest. It seemed like in the last few minutes he was seeing a whole new side to Hunter, and it was making his skin feel all hot and tingly.
"Yes I am, because we have something to celebrate." Hunter peered around the door "Never you mind you pretty little head where, just get to class. Now!"
Sebastian saluted him "Yes sir. I will see you in English then?"
"If I decide to show up." Hunter grinned winking at him before closing the door to the bathroom.
For a moment Sebastian simply just stood staring at the door, trying to process all the things that Hunter had said to him. His head was spinning with it all. He grabbed his bag and walked out the room, and down the long winding staircase. He could hardly believe what Hunter had been saying. 'You may just get a marriage proposal at some point in the future'
He shook his head slightly. Surely he was over thinking things. Hunter wasn't planning on proposing to him tonight, was he? No that was insane. Sebastian wasn't even sure if he wanted to get engaged now. It wasn't that he didn't love Hunter. Of course he loved him, he was completely head over heels in love with him. Yet that didn't mean that he wanted to get engaged. He wasn't sure that he wanted to get married. He hadn't ever really thought about it before now, yet now it was all that he could think about. What would he say in a response? He couldn't exactly turn him down in front of everyone, that would just be horrible. Only at the same time he found himself wondering if he wanted to say yes. He wanted to spend his life with Hunter, that much was certain. But getting married. Was that really something that had to happen so soon? Sure their dream schools were opposite ends of the country and three thousand miles apart, yet that wasn't going to stop them from being in love and talking every single day, he was going to make sure of that.
As he sat down in Calculus he started thinking it all over in his head. Trying to think what he was going to do. What he was going to say. He sighed softly and took a breath in, this lesson was going to be a hell of a lot longer than normal and as usual it was all down to Hunter. He couldn't think about anything but that single sentence, as he tried to make sense of what was going on and whether or not he even knew what his answer to the question was going to be.
Exactly what had been going on the past half an hour he hadn't a clue. He couldn't even pay attention to the numbers on the board, never mind try and make sense of them. He felt as though he was falling into a dream and nothing could wake him up.
Hunter had spent the last half hour in a hot bath, it had been so long since he had felt relaxed and simply just carefree. He'd already made some dinner reservations for later on tonight. Now all that remained was to make sure that Sebastian didn't get himself into trouble so that they missed it.
He pulled the plug and climbed out the bath, drying himself off before changing into his Dalton uniform and sitting down on his bed, where he grabbed his phone and dialled a number. It rang just a few times before a familiar voice answered.
"Well hello, dear brother. I don't believe we have spoken in four months since you left for that posh school of yours. To what do I have the satisfaction of your attention"
Hunter sighed softly. "Okay, the phone works both ways and besides I have been, shall we say busy" he said to her "I just wondered how you were and what you had been up to."
"Yeah, busy fucking your way around the school. I really don't want to know about all that, Hunter." came the reply. "Things have been interesting. I met this girl, and she is amazing. She makes me laugh and I think this could actually work out. Her name is..."
"...Santana" Hunter interrupted. "I know, Dani. Okay. She's a friend of mine. I just wanted to confirm it was you she was talking about."
"You know Santana? How long for? Why didn't you introduce us sooner?" Dani replied. Sounding a little shocked.
"Didn't occur to me to send her your way. Besides I didn't think that she was your type."
"What? Gorgeous isn't my type? How do you know her anyway?"
"Long story. We should catch up some time. I mean properly not just some quick phone conversation" Hunter laughed. It was good to hear her voice again. He missed home. Well everything about home, save his father. He just wished that he had the confidence to just abandon his parents, like his sister had. Yet he'd never really had the balls to do it. It was something that he had always loved about that girl. She could stand up anyone and think nothing of it. He remembered that call he had gotten from her in the middle of the night asking for a suitcase of clothes and to meet her at a hotel at the other end of town. It was certainly not a secret in their house that being gay and liking anyone of the same sex was forbidden.
"So whilst I have you on the phone and before you forget to contact me for the next four months, what is new with my little brother? Anyone special in your life?" she said in a teasing tone. "Come on, don't keep anything from me. You know that I will only ask Santana now that I know you two are friends."
"Okay, okay. Yes, there is this one guy. Sebastian Smythe" he replied to her "We're together and I really like him. Although things certainly didn't start off as you would think." he continued "Look, I have to go class, but I promise I will call you at the weekend. If I don't get your girlfriend to bring you to me, okay."
"Dad isn't going to like that one" Dani said sternly "You really sure that you can handle him? I could always help you stand up to him. I don't care what he thinks of me. You better call, Hunter. I will talk to you in a few days. I love you"
"Maybe your input might be helpful. I love you too, but I really have to get going. I have dinner reservations tonight and I can't afford to be late to class and risk getting a detention and missing them. Bye"
"Bye, speak soon" Dani replied, before the phone hung up. Dropping the phone to her bed and turning to face the Latina, who had just walked into the room of her bedsit. Dani folded her arms to her chest and raised an eyebrow at her. "You never told me that you knew my brother."
Santana sat next to her. "I didn't realise that I did. Who's your brother?" she asked her, feeling all nervous again. Why did this happen every time she was in this girl's presence? It certainly wasn't normal for her to feel this way. Dani seemed to have a knack for bringing out the worst in her. Something that Santana couldn't decide about it being a good thing or not.
"Hunter Clarrington." Dani replied.
Santana's jaw dropped. "Hunter? You're Hunter's sister?"
"Only for my whole life" Dani teased her and reached towards her pulling her in for a kiss.
Santana couldn't do anything but melt into her girlfriend. Why hadn't Hunter told her when she had mentioned things earlier? He must have known she had been talking about his sister. She made a mental note to bring it up with him later. As for now she pushed it to the back of her mind as her lips moved against Dani's.
Hunter suddenly felt nervous. He had never been on a proper date before and now he was getting ready for one with Sebastian. He was considering, in his own mind, whether to call it off and just fuck him instead. No, he had to go through with this. He didn't want their relationship to be just based on sex, that was the last thing that he wanted. He loved Sebastian more than anything else, more than anyone else and tonight he was taking his boyfriend out on a date, whether he was scared out his wits about it or not and most of all he was certainly not going to let Sebastian know just how nervous all this was making him. Perhaps all these nerves, that seemed to have appeared from nowhere, were down to his remembrance of what he had said that morning. Of course he wanted to marry Sebastian. Only he hadn't meant to say that out loud. He didn't want to get married yet, if anything he wanted a life first, a house and a job and security before he settled down into marriage. It made him wonder if Sebastian had given it much thought. He knew how that guy could over think things. He had certainly over thought that comment he had made a while back about sleeping with Santana, and that had almost gone a way that he didn't want to have to think about ever again, especially now that Santana was completely head over heels for his sister. That would certainly have been a story to tell the family.
He straightened his clothes out and hung them on the cupboard door before heading into the bathroom to freshen up, after having a long and stressful day he had a need to unwind, only taking a shower or a bath wouldn't really be much use if he was just going to head out again, plus it was something that he could enjoy with Sebastian later. Now that was a rather nice thought, lounging in a hot bath with Sebastian rested against him, sitting between his legs. He shook those thought from his head, he wasn't about to let himself get all hot and bothered about it now. There was always later. He took a breath in and closed his eyes, opening them again as he heard the door opening, turning around a smile instantly came to his face as he saw Sebastian, through the crack in the partially open bathroom door.
"I missed you in English today. I missed you all day. Where have you been?" Sebastian asked, walking into the bathroom and pressing a wet kiss to his lips.
"Around, making dinner reservations for tonight and talking to my sister on the phone. She's Santana's new girlfriend."
Sebastian's eyes widened "I didn't know you had a sister? You never mentioned her"
"Well you never asked. Besides I didn't think it really mattered."
"Of course it matters. What was I supposed to ask oh by the way do you have any other family apart from your homophobic dad?" he said with a small smile. "What else don't I know about you?"
"Oh most likely a lot of things. But you know you only have to ask, I will answer you anything that you want to know. I promise."
Sebastian raised an eyebrow at him "Oh you should not have admitted to that. I can ask you so many things, things that you will wish you didn't have to answer"
Hunter laughed "Try me. One question that you think I won't want to answer before you get changed and then we have to be leaving."
Sebastian thought for a moment. He had to think of something to totally take Hunter off guard something that he wasn't expecting. Only what? He didn't seem to get amazed at anything, it was almost impossible to even take him by surprise in any subject that was brought into a conversation. "Okay then," Sebastian said finally after a few moments "How many guys have you fucked?"
"You mean apart from or including you?" Hunter replied, folding his arms to his chest, not looking in the slightest bit taken back.
Sebastian found himself simply nodding.
"Four including you it makes five. Now get dressed."
"Is that all?" Sebastian exclaimed as he pulled off his blazer and closely followed that with his shirt. "Sorry, I didn't mean that I just expected you to have said more"
"I may have had sex a lot of times but that doesn't mean to say that I have slept with a lot of people, unlike my boyfriend who has slept with pretty much every gay guy in Ohio and probably half in Paris."
"You are so no funny. Where are we going anyway?"
"That's for me to know and you to find out"
"Well at least tell me whether to dress up or down for this date."
"Just put on something smart and stop making conversation with me." Hunter said with a smile as he walked out of the bathroom and sat on the edge of his bed, grabbing a book and lying back to read it.
"Didn't think I bored you that much" Sebastian teased him as he got changed.
"What?" Hunter replied "Oh, right the book. No we have to read it for English, right? I mean I have no idea what its about and I figured it would be a great distraction from that body of yours because if I don't do something that we are never going to get out"
"Relax, I am just messing with you. How far into it are you?"
"About fifty pages or so"
"Well that is fifty pages more than me."
"How the hell do you pass English, Smythe. You know I am sure you are fucking that English teacher."
Sebastian laughed, pulling his shirt on and buttoning it up. "I read that book about three years ago on a plane to Paris to visit my dad. I cried on the plane and when I got off the first thing my dad said to me was. You know only girls cry over books"
It was Hunter's turn to laugh. "So I was thinking maybe I could just get you to tell me what this book is about and we could spend time that I would normally spend reading doing much better things with our time since I already have to waste so much of that time tutoring you in Calculus"
"OH come on I am not that bad, am I?" Sebastian pouted, running a small amount of hair gel through his hair.
"Course not." Hunter grinned at him, putting down the book and standing up, grabbing his jacket and pulling it on "You are so much worse darling" he leant in and kissed him, before taking his hand and the pair of them walked out the dormitory and out into the car park.
Hunter turned to Sebastian "Mind if I drive your car? Mine is sort of in an MOT at the moment"
"No, no way. I wouldn't trust you to drive a bike. I am driving, you can just give me directions"
Hunter shook his head."We can walk, it will do us good. I am not giving you directions. Its a surprise. Nothing special just a place I used to go with my sister before things got weird with our dad and we never saw one another."
Sebastian pressed his lips to his cheek. "Sorry things are not okay with your dad. I can't imagine how hard that is. My dad might live in Paris but he doesn't have anything against me being gay. I mean I get that he isn't exactly in love with the idea, but he is supportive"
Hunter shrugged "Doesn't bother me. If he doesn't like it then he isn't the dad that raised him to be" he smiled "Can I ask about your mum? You never really mention her."
Sebastian sighed softly "I never really knew her. She always had a boyfriend on the go and I doubt she ever really paid much attention to me. I was just someone to keep he house clean and someone she could talk to on the journeys to new places. Sometimes I don't think she even knows me at all. We never really talked"
"Sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned it" Hunter replied, suddenly feeling a little guilty for bringing up a touchy subject. Sure his dad might be an arsehole about his sexuality, yet at least he was still around and in his life.
"Its fine, really. I like things how they are, if she wants me in her life then tuff. I have my dad and I have you and the Warblers, they are my family and that is all that matters. I know that no matter what its those guys who will be there for me and of course Santana, even if it does feel a little weird having her as sort of friend, if you could call it that"
"Yeah, certainly didn't see that one coming did we. I mean she may be my ex fiancé, but it was never really anything that we saw in the cards was it?"
"I love you" Sebastian said with a small smile. "I will always love you, for as long as I live, no matter where things lead for us."
"Okay, where did that come from? Don't say nowhere. I know you." Hunter replied.
"I got into Stanford, early admissions, its a back up plan if I don't get into Yale with you"
"Sebastian! Really? That is brilliant news, well done I am so proud of you. I really am. Seriously, good for you. You have at least got a college to go to that is something even if it is just a back up plan."
"You seem more excited about it than I am" he laughed "I just guess I really want to go to Yale with you."
"You may just get in there, you don't know that. Although even if you do isn't Stanford your dream? Forget about where I end up, you want to go there, right?"
Sebastian shrugged. "I am not so sure anymore. I can't forget about you, that's the problem" he replied honestly "I can't imagine spending one day without you never mind weeks. It hurts just thinking about it."
"Stop it, not tonight. Tonight is just about me and you and being in love. Forget college, its not for a long while yet, its not even Christmas yet. So the fact that you got into Stanford and nowhere else doesn't mean anything, hell it probably a miracle that you got into Stanford so fast."
Having finally calmed Sebastian down and gotten seated at the restaurant of Hunter's choosing, the pair of them were finally able to enjoy a good mean together.
It was the quietest date he had ever been on, not that he had exactly been on a lot of dates, in fact he could probably count the number of dates he had been out on over years on one hand. Well, it was quiet on his end. Hunter was talking, but Sebastian would be lying if he said that he was paying attention. All of his words were just muffled as Sebastian just nodded at everything that he said, hoping that he was nodding in the correct places. The restaurant was amazing, and the food was just perfection yet, despite what Hunter had said to him on their walk up, he couldn't stop thinking about college. He tried to get the images of spending countless hours without Hunter to talk to, waiting by the phone praying for it to ring, finally dialling Hunter's number only for it to go straight to voice mail.
"Okay, what is wrong?" Hunter asked finally. "You haven't been listening to a single word I have said in the last half an hour."
"Sorry, just daydreaming. Its nothing really, just thinking" Sebastian replied
Hunter reached across the table and took his boyfriend's hand into his. "Are you still worried about college? Is that what this is about?"
Sebastian swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded sheepishly.
Hunter brought Sebastian's hand to his lips and pressed a kiss to his palm. "I told you it will all work out. I love you Sebastian. I love you so much and being three thousand miles from you is not going to change that. Yes it may be hard, but we can pull through it if it comes to that, it might not, but I need you to promise me one thing." Hunter said to him, pausing for a moment before continuing "Promise me that the choices you make about your future won't just be the choices that you think will allow you more time with me. It has to be following your dreams and your passions, not the dreams of playing happy families in a dormitory in your spare time with me. Promise me that."
Sebastian nodded his head, "Promise. Its just hard thinking about not spending everyday with you."
"You think I don't find it hard? Of course I do, when you left me I didn't know what to do with myself and I am scared that everyday that I am without you is going to feel like that."
"It won't, not if we don't let it. You said so yourself that our dreams and passions have to come first." Sebastian found himself saying. "
Yet before Hunter could reply Vincent had walked over. "Sebastian can I talk to you?" he asked him "Sorry if I am interrupting anything but this can't wait."
Sebastian turned his head to look at him and nodded "Yeah sure, talk."
"Can we talk in private?"
Sebastian glanced to Hunter. "Talk here, anything you need to say to me you can say in front of Hunter, I'd probably only end up telling him everything anyway."
Vincent took a breath in. So this was the infamous Hunter Clarrington. Instantly he was filled with disgust towards the guy. Nobody ever hurt Sebastian and got away with it. Sebastian may have forgiven him but Vincent was sure as hell not about to. "You sure? Its sort of personal"
"Just talk" Sebastian said to him "Talk now or forever hold your tongue"
Vincent swallowed. "I can't say it on front of him its to weird. This was a bad idea. I should go. Goodbye" with those words he turned and ran off out the restaurant.
Hunter ran his tongue over his bottom lip "Go after him, something is clearly bugging him, I will wait here for the bill and then join you outside"
"If you are sure" Sebastian replied, leaning over and kissing him "I love you"
"Yes and I love you too." he kissed him again "Now go, see what is wrong with him and then tell me all about it afterwards"
Sebastian laughed and headed off outside, thankfully he spotted Vincent sat at a bus stop just opposite. He walked over to him and sat beside him. For a few moments neither of them said anything.
It was Vincent that finally broke the silence "I wasn't spoiling anything in there was I?"
"No," Sebastian replied "If anything you stopped a conversation that was starting to hurt. But I don't want to go into that. What was it you wanted to tell me?"
Vincent looked at him "This isn't easy for me to say and you probably already know it, but I have to say it out loud to your face before I go back to England. I love you Sebastian. I am in love with you and I have been from the moment we first met, that's why I moved away to England. I couldn't stand watching you throw yourself at other guys. All could think about was that you deserved better. Maybe you deserved me. I just wanted you to love me in the way I loved you and it hurt that you didn't."
Sebastian didn't know what to say. He couldn't say that he had ever realised just how much Vincent had cared, neither could he say that he had ever felt the same way about him. At least not as deeply as that. "I'm sorry. Sorry for all that pain I caused you. If had known the extent of it I wouldn't have put you through it."
"Forget it. Its not important now. My life is in England and your life is still here with Hunter. I might not have a liking for the guy but makes sure that he takes care of you, and if you two are to ever break up, look me up." he smiled at him.
Sebastian nodded slightly "I will, although I can look after myself. I have done for as long as I can remember"
"Maybe that is why you should let him take over. Let him spoil you and look after you, give yourself a break from that. You deserve it."
Sebastian smiled slightly and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, pulling him into a hug. "I know it may be hard, but just don't be a stranger okay?"
"The phone works both ways. Smythe" he grinned
"I didn't say keep in touch. I said don't be a stranger." Sebastian pulled back from him. "See you" with those words he hurried across the road and joined Hunter, outside the pub "Lets just get back to Dalton."
Hunter nodded and took his hand and the pair of them took a slow walk back "So what did he want?" Hunter asked
"Just something I already knew, but refused to admit to myself."
"Which was?" Hunter said to him trying to pursue it further.
"Not that its any of your business but just about how he feels about me. Before you start he isn't about to try anything. IN fact he is going back to England tomorrow, I think and he told me to make sure that you look after me"
Hunter grinned and pressed a wet kiss to the side of his face. "Oh trust me I plan to look after you alright? I can look after any needs that you might have"
"Any needs at all?" Sebastian smirked.
"Behave or I will put you over my knee right here" Hunter replied to him.
"You wouldn't dare" Sebastian replied, a little shocked at what Hunter had just said. Surely he wouldn't put him through that. Yet now that he really thought about it he wouldn't have put it past him. Hunter wasn't exactly predictable sometimes.
"You know I would" Hunter grinned, pushing open the doors of Dalton "Although I think a much better option would be to climb into a nice hot bath together and just talk. Unless of course you don't want to"
"Sounds like the perfect way to spend the evening."
Hunter smiled and the pair of them headed into their dormitory. Hunter stepped into the bathroom and began to run the bath as Sebastian pulled off his jacket and pulled his shirt over his head, his phone buzzed in his pocket with a text and for a few moments he wondered whether to answer it or leave it till later. Finally his curiosity got the better of him and he pulled it from his pocket and opened the text. From his father, that was certainly a strange thing, he hadn't even been aware that his father knew the art that was texting. He'd always just rang before.
I don't know how to say this to you over the phone, but your mother called just a few hours ago. She was asking where you were. I told her all I knew about you was that you were in America. Just thought I should warn you.
Sebastian swallowed and sat down on the bed, dropping his phone to his side, everything was drained from the world and his face had gone as white as a sheet. All those past memories were coming back to him. He couldn't bear to think about it. So he had made up these white lies about the relationship with his mother and for years he had been able to convince himself that they were true. As for years he'd never had to deal with her before. She been locked away. Only now he feared that if he was tracked down by her he'd be in trouble. After all what kind of son turns in their own mother for murder?
He didn't hear Hunter calling his name from the bathroom, and was in fact only aware that the world around him existed as he felt Hunter next to him.
"Sebastian, what is it? You are white as a sheet." hunter said to him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and gently pulling him into him.
"My mother is out of jail" Sebastian replied simply.
"What? You mother was in jail? I thought she just didn't want anything to do with you."
"That's because I have always said that. I didn't want to have to think about the past and what I saw. It was easier to make up all these lies to explain why she wasn't around. She was supposed to be in there for seven years only I got a text from my dad saying she is out and looking for me. She can't find me, hunter. She just can't"
"Just calm down, come with me" Hunter said to him, as he stood up and took Sebastian's hand "Lets get into the bath and you can relax. You are scaring me acting like this"
Sebastian couldn't do anything but allow Hunter to take him into the bathroom and remove his clothes, before he climbed into the bath an enveloped himself in hot water.
A few moments later Hunter climbed in behind him and Sebastian leant back against his chest, for a few moments both of them just lay there in silence, hunter's arms wrapped around Sebastian. He only wished that there was something he could do to soothe him. Only everything he thought of just seemed pointless. There was only really one thing. He had to get Sebastian to tell him the whole story.
"What happened? You can tell me. I can keep secrets if that is what you want" Hunter said finally, pressing a firm kiss to Sebastian's head.
Sebastian closed his eyes and took a breath in. "When I was eight my parents got divorced and I stayed with my dad in France for a couple of years before I made the choice to go travelling with my mum. Everything was fine for a couple of years, she moved from boyfriend to boyfriend and I guess at the time I didn't mind because I just wanted her to be happy and if having a few men pass into her life and leave was the road to that then that was fine with me. Yet when I was thirteen she met this guy and he was great. I got along with him and my mum seemed to really care about him. They got married, after dating for two years and I have never seen my mum happier before than she was on that day. Whilst they went travelling around the world on their honeymoon I stayed with my dad for three months in Paris and went to school there. After that I would split my time between staying at my mum's and staying with my dad. Just a couple of weeks after my fifteenth birthday I finished school and headed to my mum's house, only as I walked into the door I knew that something wasn't right. I could hear my step-dad screaming and threw my bag to the floor, running into the front room..." Sebastian stopped speaking for a few moments "...I found my mum with the bread knife in his chest. Without thinking I ran from the house, caught a cab to the Police Station and turned her in for murder. After that I couldn't stand living in Paris anymore. Which was why I moved to Dalton, my dad bought me a house here, once I was old enough to live on my own and not just at Dalton. It was hard going there in the holidays, to Paris I mean. Probably the reason now why I still avoid it most of the time. What kind of son does that make me? Turning my own mother in for murder"
Hunter didn't know what to say. What could he say to that? Of course he wanted to be there for Sebastian. He wanted to protect him and look after him. "I glad you told me the truth. You are going to be fine. Don't worry. You did the right thing. You were braver that most kids would be at your age. I am proud of you, Sebastian." Hunter said to him, pressing another kiss to his head. "Is that why you got under everyone? As some sort of punishment?"
Sebastian nodded. "It started out like that, and then I just started to enjoy myself, it was like a second nature just to get drunk and have sex with anyone who wanted it. I felt as though I didn't deserve to be with anyone because of what I had done"
"That is ridiculous. You have the biggest heart of anyone that I know and I love you so much more right now, Sebastian. You have to stop feeling guilty."
"I know, its just hard." he replied turning his head to look at Hunter. Their eyes locked as Sebastian leant his head upwards and pressed his lips to Hunter's "I love you so much"
"Love you too, Cinderella" Hunter grinned, kissing Sebastian once again.
The both of them stayed in the bath for a good hour, by the time they finally climbed out all the bubbles had gone and the water had turned luke warm. Sebastian wrapped himself up in a towel and dried himself off as Hunter bent over and pulled the plug. Sebastian couldn't resist whacking his arse, which made Hunter gasp. He turned around and raised an eyebrow.
"Oh you are in so much trouble, Smythe. You may want to sleep in your own bed tonight, unless you don't want to be able to sit down tomorrow without feeling me"
Sebastian's teeth sunk into his lower lip "I am not sleeping alone." he said to him with a smirk, letting the towel drop to the floor. "See you in bed, Sleeping Beauty"
A/n: Yeah I thought why not make Dani. Hunter's sister, we haven't yet found out her last name so I figured that it would be a good little twist to the fanfiction. I know it took forever and it's a little crap, but the fact that I had writers block. Review, let me know what you think and if you are still wanting more.
