Ambling anxiously through the murky forest, Bella continuously stumbled as her knees buckled together. Her eyes were water-logged; she felt unquestionably depressed at the moment.
She could not believe she was actually doing any of this. In her mind, she had thought it had been the right decision to make…whereas realistically, it was miles from it. Plus, with Edward next on the list, it was about to get even worse.
Surely things were now set to grow complex! How could she ever possibly do this? How on earth could she tell Edward that she no longer desires his company? Quivering fingers, twitching eyes, and pasty cheeks, Bella cringed the second that Edward's house came in sight.
This was going to be extraordinarily awkward, not to mention a complete lie! Bella honestly wanted to continue seeing Edward for the rest of her lame human life, not end it here and now! Whenever she was with the latter, something extraordinarily unnerving,(yet very stimulating) always seemed to occur…none-the-less, she always looked forwards to seeing him!
Ending her friendship with Jacob had been aggravating enough, but ending her relationship with Edward? That was a cornering matter.
"Jesus Christ…here goes!" she panted to herself, swiftly knocking on the door and teetering backwards a little. The edges of her crusted lips twitched slightly as Emmet creaked the door open.
"Bella! Wasn't expecting to see you here! Take it you're here for Eds?" asked Emmet. Alice's beaming face popped up out of nowhere behind his shoulder.
"Hi, Bella. I'm practising my yoga! Care to join me?" she requested, shoving a grumbling Emmet out of the way.
"Not now, Alice. Bella wants to see Edward, and that's better than just sitting on a mat for two hours!" spat Emmet. Alice glared daggers at him.
"Fine, but you could've said that in a nicer way, you know." she responded in a rather smug manner, speeding away down the hall. Rolling his eyes, Emmet turned back to face an intimidated-looking Bella. He laughed.
"You don't have to look so worried, Bella! I know yoga's boring, but it's not that bad! Here, come in and make yourself at home. I'll go fetch Ed right away!" he said, zooming round the corner at the bottom of the protracted hall.
Wobbling through the door, carefully closing it behind her, Bella stood in the fulgent hall, treating it as if it was a part of a haunted mansion. The artistic pictures of the Cullen's relatives, which were hanging along the walls, kept her well occupied for at least a few minutes, until Edward suddenly appeared.
"Bella? What is it?" he quizzed, his eyes blistering their way through her own. She could feel the timid tears gathering round the back of her eyeballs, as a puddle forms on a rainy day.
Heaving in an exasperated breath of bothersome air, Bella stiffened up each muscle in her rigid body, not caring the slightest if she made it seem obvious. How was she going to do this? How was Edward going to react? He had enough strength to crush every single bone in her mortal body, if she ever provoked him to do so!
Aro's words rang in her ears; Aro's intimidating voice was starting to aggravate her.
"I-I-I…e-e-erm…I-I-I…" she spluttered. Stressed beyond expectation, she closed her eyes.
"Bella?" hissed Edward, sounding utterly perturbed. He reached out to comfort her, only for her to yank herself clean out of his hand's way.
Snapping her blood vessel-paved eyes wide open, to squint up at an elevating Edward, Bella viciously spat the words out as if they were little more than poison, "Edward, I have to end my relationship with you, RIGHT NOW!"
Eerie silence possessed everything. Bella's eyes were tightly squeezed shut in ruination, her whole body fracturing from the tip of her head, to the edge of her longest toe nail. Deadmeat, that was exactly what she was destined to become any second.
Extremely aghast at her unpredictable confession, Edward stared at her, unblinking and turning whiter than he already was. What in the name of God was her issue? Had she caught some kind of fatal mental illness? Whatever was the excuse for her beyond startling behaviour towards him…it was not good news at all.
"W-W-W…wha-what?" he panted, wincing as his vision blurred.
Speechless, a sick-feeling Bella shook her head, clutching her stomach, and shot like a bullet for the door…only to be halted in her tracks by a growling fearsomely Edward.
Not daring to glance back at him, Bella screamed in agony, as she was thrashed harshly against the wall, thumping her head in the process. Collapsing to the ground, mourning in severe torture, Bella felt terror-striken for her life.
Scowling mercilessly down at the suffering girl, Edward firmly pinned her arms down above her head, his resentful face scolding through her pasty face. Leaning towards her ear, he whispered, "Who told you that? Tell me!"
Unable to respond, due to her throat being drier than sand in the ablaze sun, Bella choked her throbbing aches out. Freezing in bewilderment, Edward gritted his teeth in vengeance, his eyes icy with such hatred that sent a million shivers down her twanging spine.
"Jacob…" he breathed, plainly. Gaping in horror at him, as he rocketed towards the door, flinging it open and disappearing through it in to the frosted air.
Rapidly scrambling to her feet, before any of the other Cullens approached and asked what was happening, Bella fled after him.
"Oh no…" Bella gasped, as she ran…ran for her life, until the Cullen's house was a mere dot behind her in the ill-lighted distance, "It's happening again!"
