Season 1 Episode 11: Thanksgiving Princess

One afternoon, Jade sat in her study finishing up a script when she heard Ella came racing into it excited. "Mom you will never guess what happened to me."

Jade, thankful for a laittle break turned to give her daughter her full attention. she hadn't realized how late it had gotten. "What's that Ella?' Jade asked.

"I got nominated for thanksgiving princess!" She said excited ly. "I knew my New York Fashion sens would put me over the top!"

"That's great, Ella!" Jade said giving her daughter a hug. "I know you'll get it.

"You will never believe who else got nominated to court." she added.

"I don't care Jade, I'm so sure you will win I don't even need dto know."

"But mom-"

"I mean that." Jade asserted.

"Momma Jae guess what!" Carmen said excited. "I was nominated for Thanksgiving princess!"

Jade's face turned to that of worry."Wow!" she said and hugged Carmen to herself as well.

Ella shrugged her shoulder as her mother looked past Carmen. "Yeah wow."

Tori walked into the house. she had been gone for a week doing a bit of publicity for the Tour. When she spotted Jade picking some of Marcia's toys off the floor in the TV room. Tori sidled up to her wife and stared at the butt that faced her with fascination. She reached out and stroked her deriere, causing Jade to Jump.

Jade turned around her hand cocked to strike and saw it was her wife. "Babe, I almost killed you!" She threw her arms around her neck and kissed her hello.

"Well Hello there." Tori said after the kiss broke. "I missed you too."

"We have a problem." Jade said not letting Tori go.

"Oh no..." Tori stated

"Well it seems like both of our daughters have been nominated Thanksgiving Princess." Jade stated.

"Really?" Tori smiled at first never believing that her daughter would be nominated princess of anything. Not that she wasn't beautiful or anything. Then she frowned seeing the problem Jade had hinted at. "well that is a problem for us isn't it."

"It is." Jade sighed " All we can do is make sure we aren't on either of their sides. we are to remain neutral.

"Yeah, I don't think our girls would fight about it now." Tori answered. Jade looked at her as if she were crazy. "OK. so maybe it would be less than all the time."

Jade laughed and Kissed her wife again. There was a shout upstairs. "I am not a sasquash"

"Your feet are big and you dress like a boy half the time, I don't even know why they picked you, you don't even know how to dress!" Ella retorted.

"Hold on a minute." Jade said pulling Ella aside."we do not talk about each other like that."

"Well it's true I don't even understand why she got the nomination in the first place."

"You appologize to carmen, and go think of another way to win your friends over into voting for you."

"sorry." Ella said

"Whatever." Carmen walked away from them all.

"Ill go ah... rtalk to her." Tori said and followed her daughter out of the room.

"Can you think of something else to boost your votes Ella?" Jade asked.

"I don't know," Ella answered with a shrug. "I guess I could bake some cupakes or something."

"Now you're thinking."

Ella smiled , "Thanks mom." She hugged her mother then headed for the door. "Robbie!"

In the Family room, Tori approached Carmen. "Do you really want to be princess?"

"Well I never thought about it, But Ella and her eight grade friends started making fun of me. They nominated me as a Joke, i just know it."

"Are you positive?" Tori said. "I know your sister is a little shallow but do you think she would do that to you?"

"Yes." she responded. "Can you help me update my look?"

Tori smiled at her daughter and kissd her head. "Talk to momma Jae, She's way more... beauty concious."

Just then Jade walked into the living room. "Momma Jae, can you make me pretty?"

Your mom did a really good job at it already." Jade said.

Carmen sighed exageratedly. "Can you enhance my pretty then?"

Tori and Jade laughed. "Sure kid." Jade said following Carmen to her room.

Tori walked into the kitchen. Ella and Robbie were hard at work mixing the batter. "Hey what's going on?"

"Mom had me think of different ways to win voters. and I thought about cupcakes." Ella answered.

"Grea Idea, food was always a motivator." Tori said sticking her finger in the batter.

Robbie slapped at her hand. "Tori! you're going to ruin my cupcakes"

"Sorry." Tori said sticking her finger in again. This time she got some of the batter and tasted the cake.

Th oven dinged and the first batch came out. "I can't wait to taste them." Ella said. "Tori would you like to help me frost them?"

Tori smiled brightly. "Yes!" IT was the first time any of jade's kids sought her out for anything. They had two parents Tori was an extra and she felt like it. It was different for Jade. Jad had six kids. Her triplets belonged to Jade now.

the etwo of htem went on the rest of the evening frosting and baking and they enjoyed that time together.

The next day, Ella walked into the school with a cart full of cupcakes. she handed them out in the hallways. "Vote for Ella Oliver for princess!" she said handing each out. the cupcakes were a hit. But as she did so, Carmen walked into the hallway a mini version of Tori Vega. All the boys with cupcakes in their handds dropped them on to the floor. and some girls too.

Ella took a look at her little sister and sighed. "TIme to step it up a notch." she mumbled to herself.

"Maybe you should start a gay rumor." one of her friends said.

Ella turned to facee the girl. her glare could rival that of her mothers. "Excuse me?"

"I mean there were rumors of her dating Shiloh this summer." she said again unaware of the disgust in Ella's face.

"You do realize my moms are gay right? Carmen has a hard enough time with that without me adding to the fuel. I will not do that to my sister, and if you think that way, maybe you shouldn't be my friend neither."

"Whatever, It's just to win you votes."

"Then maybe you just shut up because I will not smear my family's name." Ella turned to her cupcakes. Right in front of her table Carmen stood there. Ella picked up a cupcake and gave one to her sister. Carmen smiled and took a bite in thanks. She waved at her sister and walked off to class.

"Hey mom." Carmen said when she came into the house that afternoon. she dropped down on the couch in the family room with her. Tori was watching some show on Netflix.

"Hey baby." She said and only glanced at her daughter then did a double take at her carmen busting out everywhere. "Are those my jeans Carma?"

"Momma Jae said you wouldn't miss one pair out of thirty white Jeans." Carmen answered.

"But those are my favorite, with the embroidery" Tori answered. "Oh well they look great on you anyway." Tori looked like she was going to say something else then changed her mind.

"What mommy." Carmen said.

"Its just that... I was thinking, You'll be hot for the next few years Carmen. and Ella... she is graduating this year. You are two years younger, maybe you should drop out."

"Why? No way! I can finally beat her at something."

"Okay, I probably shouldn't have asked though sorry" Tori said and went back to watching the show. Just then Jade walked into the room and resumed her seat next to TOri and leaned in. "Babe, you turned my daughter into a thirteen year old... she's eleven."

"Nope all of that is natural, that was under all of those clothes Tori. prepare yourself." Jade said winking at Carmen.

Tori Groaned, "so not ready for this."

Carmen went to school the next morning, she couldn't sleep all night thinking about what her mother had said. she went to the office. and asked to make an announcement. so when it was her time she sat in front of the camera and said. "Hi, i'm Carmen West Vega, and I am your nominee for Thanksgiving Princess. I urge you to vote for my oponent. she is beautiful and smart and she trully deserves the honor as an upper classman to get the crown. so I abdicate my nomination." Carmen said and looked to the side. "Thank you and have a great day." she finished.

As she was talking, Ella ran into her. Ella smiled and Gave Carmen a big hug. "I have never even come close to being a princess, Thank you."

"You deserve it sis."

Ella looked beautiful in the coronation parade. the entire family was out to support. Tori was proud of Carmen and she hugged her. "I love you baby girl." Tori said

"I love you too mom."
