Before the shock overtook Kenzi due to Lynn being faenapt she manged to utter the words Crack Shack indicating to the proud blonde Valkyrie that, that is where they should be headed.
Without much discussion both women left the estate. The silence between them noted Tamsin, not use to these situations, had nothing to say nor could think of anything to bring the brunette out of her stupor and the brunette for her part was not even there her gaze far off ensuring that she was in fact in another place and time entirely with memories upon memories of her pale blonde friend from infancy to up until now.
Tears had began to form in Kenzi's eyes but she pushed her feelings far off not wanting to seem weak in this moment in time. Mentally preparing herself Kenzi peered at her Valkyrie noticing the tension rolling off the woman next to her.
The Immortal now dreaded going straight to the Shack out of fear that the tension would only grow between them more once Kenzi admitted to the others - Dyson and Hale - that she is in fact fae, this also included telling Tamsin and it made Kenzi's heart clench painfully.
Without much else to do or really think about Kenzi opened her mouth.
"Uh Tammers," the brunette said sheepishly as she turned to look at the Valkyrie who was focused on the road, "There is something I ne-"
"We're here."
The blonde states as she points with her thumb in the direction of the Crack Shack noticing that the others where there too. Kenzi exhaled sharply as she focuses on the Valkyrie.
"I'm aware of that there is still the matter of me having to tell you something."
The blonde clenched her jaw as she finally moved her gaze to Kenzi, to say she was surprised by the tone was more than an understatement, though the blonde masked her surprise and guilt rather well.
"Yes?"
She askes gruffly waiting and generally wanted to hear what the tiny brunette had to say. Part of Kenzi knew that Tamsin didn't know how to handle these types of situation, at least not knowing how to handle them well, and given that Tamsin was not fond of Lynn and that Kenzi was made the blonde uncomfortable on how to deal with what was going to go on wihtout seeming like a heartless shrew.
Kenzi opened her mouth to speak but before she could she heard fighting coming from inside. Huffing slightly and highly annoyed Kenzi shoved open the door with alot more force than intended.
"Sorry," she muttered along with," come along Tamsin you'll find out soon enough."
Tamsin for a moment stared wide eyed at the brunette who slammed the truck door and sulked off to the entrance to the Shack. Not knowing what to say Tamsin pushed her thoughts to the side and quickly caught up the Kenzi on instint she interwinded their finger giving Kenzi a gentle squeeze. Tamsin may not know what to say or how to act but she was not going to let Kenzi think she was in this alone which made the Immortal feel all the more guilty.
Pushing the guilt aside Kenzi lead Tamsin inside and the two were quite surprised to see two almost identical brunettes duking it out with the others: Hale, Dyson, Lauren, Kristoff and Trick all shouting for the two to quit fighting.
Kenzi felt her world stop when she saw the one and only Bo Dennis being tackled to the floor by her, not that she knew it anyways, twin sister Bel Lockhart. Kristoff though bruised and bloody from the invasion earlier finally managed to uphand Bel dragging her away from Bo who groggily pulled herself off the ground.
"Bo.."
Kenzi said softly as Dyson and Hale moved out of the Goth's and Succubus's sight. For a moment the two just looked at each other before Bel broke the spell the two seemed to be under.
"Kenzi," Bel began confusion and worry laced in her voice, "where's Lynn?"
Guilt flashed through the Immortal's face she bit her bottom lip as a bile started to fill her throat and anger gripping at her chest. Kenzi let go of Tamsin's hand than as she wrapped her arms around herself.
"Kenzi where is my sister?"
Heaving Kenzi's eyes flashed red everyone jumped back either out of fear or surprised as flames started to dance around her.
"She's gone," Kenzi croacked as tears steamed down her cheek, "I tried to save her but it was too late that," the flames had intensified by then, "that bastard with the red hair took her and I had no time to react."
Kenzi was about to say more when a pair of stong arms engulfed her. Kenzi slammed her eyes shut waiting for the screams to begin, but none came reluctantly Kenzi opened her eyes and looked at the arms that had a hold on her.
They aren't burnt like Lynn's were.
Smiling slightly Kenzi's fire disappeared though that smile disappeared all together when the person, Tamsin, let go of her.
Feeling smaller than ever Kenzi sighed.
"And I'm also not human."
Lauren, Trick, Kristoff and even Bel all came to the Immortal's side.
"Before any of you become angry or bombard Kenzi with a million and one questions we," Lauren gestured to the four of them, "including Lynn knew about this fact."
"And the reason Kenzi did not tell the rest of you is because she woke up months ago," Trick stated what Kenzi had told him while adding more, "she is the rarest among us besides Lynn of course."
"Wait," Bo began, "Kenzi -"
"What does Trick mean you woke up months ago how come I didn't know this?"
Tamsin questioned as she cut of Bo who glared heavily at the Valkyrie who noticed but decided to focus on the woman she holds dearly to her heart.
"I'm sorry TamTam," Kenzi stated as she looked at the blonde, "I wanted to tell you and I was going to tell you before we came in here but I sensed those two going at it without realizing that it was Bo and Bel," Kenzi let out a quick breath before continuing, "Then the outburst happened and I guess the fae is outta the bag now."
Tamsin's face became emotionless causing Kenzi to panic slightly until the Valkryie step closer to Kenzi taking her hand into her own.
Bo baffled by the moment shook her head she swallowed the lump forming in her throat as she peered at her best friend, no her heart, sighing the Succubus voiced all her questions.
"Okay firstly who the hell are they," she pointed to Bel and Kristoff, "Secondly what's with this," she gestured to Kenzi, who flinched slightly, and Tamsin who sent a death glare Bo's way as the brunette woman continued on, "What's with the Shack looking all fixed up, fireproof and fancy," Bo stated with her hands gesturing, in a very Kenzi manner, to the room they were in before dropping her hands and looking at Kenzi again, "Who is Lynn and how come I never knew you were a fae?" Bo asked with a hurt expression, "You're my best friend Kenz I just want to know what's going on."
Kenzi brought Tamsin's hand to her lips kissing the knuckles delicately before placing their hands back to their side she peered at Bo wanting nothing more than to run to her and kiss her senseless telling her everything she needed to know - Knowing that wasn't a smart idea for now she settled with explaining things to Bo and to everyone for that matter.
"First off Kristoff is an Incubus," the young man waved at Bo sheepishly, " Lynn, his half older sister who was faenapped by Alabaster the red headed asshole who is after you, is a Valkubus," Kenzi stated simple, "Half Valkyrie Half Succubus which Trick mentioned earlier is rare," huffing as she looks at Bel who was now standing next to Lauren, "And this is Bel, a Succubus, who unsurprisingly is your twin sister," Kenzi smiled awkwardly at the shocked faces in the room, "Ta~da moment right?" Kenzi chuckled along with Tamsin as Kenzi rubbed the back of her neck with her free hand, "Secondly Tamsin and I just started to see each other like hours ago being sappy and admitting our feelings shocker I know, but that being said after we save Lynn I'll have to talk to both you," Kenzi stated as she looked at a confused Bo and then shifting her gaze to Tamsin, "and you privately in the same room because our future depends on you both when it involves me," Kenzi felt their confusion but ignored it as she looked back at Bo, "I happen to have a lot of money under another name I've used at least a hundred years ago and when I say a lot of money I mean I'm loaded so I a little bit of that money to fix up the Shack so when you came home you'd see it wasn't so broken..."
Kenzi trailed off for a moment feeling slightly overwhelmed with emotions but she pushed them down as best as she could as she continued to answer Bo's questions, "The fact that the Shack is fireproof is well obviously I can summon flames at whim when I'm angry or upset," Kenzi swallowed quickly biting her lip as she spoke again, "I'm an Immortal and a Phoenix I've been alive for roughly four thousand years I'm not exactly sure how or why it happened but one day I woke up as a human with no knowledge on who I was and took to being a common thief to get by until I met you Bo," Kenzi said with a sad smile, "You unknowingly brought me back into the world I was born into and I guess with the shock of you leaving caused me to wake up and remember who I am."
Nothing was said for a good few minutes until Dyson decided to clear his throat.
"Okay good we are all in the clear so what now?"
"Yeah what we gonna do about the fae that attacked my family's home and took the mini version of you and Tamsin?"
Kenzi sighed heavily as Tamsin gave her a firm squeeze the reassurance was refreshing as Bo walked over to the both of them taking Kenzi's other hand.
"Well of course we need an attack plan no one is gonna just take my lil blondie and live to tell the tale," Kenzi smirked glad that everyone was almost on the same page, "I have to make a few phone calls we're gonna need a lot of help for this one."
Everyone nodded their heads in agreement as Kenzi let go of her soul mates hands and did as she said - they needed to act and act as quick as possible if she was going to get Lynn back unharmed. The dial tone came to a halt when the line opened.
"Hello?"
"It's time I collect that favor from you."
- in a dark terrifying room somewhere located in a basement of some building.
The only sound you could hear were the sounds of a whip making contact with flesh. Occasional low grunts and gasps – but nothing more than that. This did not please Alabaster as he flicked the leather in his hand once more.
"Ah you're a tough cookie to break aren't you?"
He asked as he placed the whip down walking closer to his victim. He snarled when he noticed the wounds healing as they were – from what he thought from his observation she was a Succubus though here and now as her wounds healed he rethought his assumption completely.
"Tell me how do you heal like that," Alabaster began as his lightly touched the pale blonde's petite back, "I've been at it for about three hours and yet all my lovely markings that I place on you heal."
He came to face her only to rise his brow slight feeling rather unsettled and displeased for the pale blonde's hazel orbs gave a far off stare – as if she blocked him and everything out.
"So," Alabaster began gently as he placed his hand on her cheek, "you aren't here," he smiled as he grabs her by the jaw the gentleness never leaving his voice as he spoke once more, "well that's fine you'll come back eventually and I'll be here waiting to beat what I need out of you."
Authors Notes: I am so very sorry for the delay guys! I had been busy in the past two months. In February I turned twenty one and ended up going to visit my father in another state and the laptop I had been using took a turn for the worse and crashed. To my horror I lost all my chapters and didn't have the time to work on them when I came back because I was dealing with personal issues with my family here and recruitment stuff so yeah aha. Thankfully my step father is a life saver so I was granted the use of his laptop to type! I feel grateful to continue this story I apologize if this chapter seemed rushed but I wanted to get everything - almost everything out in the open. You'll find out who Alabaster is soon and why he wants Bo and how it is connect to Kenzi and why she lost her memories.
