Rain bounced off the windows and roof, making a soft pitter-patter noise. The ticking of the clock accompanied it so well, and with the occasional ruffle of a page being turned, Kaito had started to hum along like it was a song.
Speaking of Kaito…
"Shinichi, can we please do something?" Kaito whined, shifting himself so he was upside down on the couch. Shinichi ignored the magician, instead flipping a few pages of the book he was reading, and then picking up again.
Kaito pouted.
All he had come to do was deliver his next heist note to Shinichi, and just his luck, it started pouring. With Jii-chan out of town, Aoko at the police station with her father, and Shinichi's not so safe driving, Kaito was forced to stay here. Not that he didn't like being in the detectives company, he just didn't like not doing anything.
"Shin-Chan…." No reply. He's probably so into the book that he forgot I'm here. Kaito thought, crossing his arms. He stayed like that for 10 minutes, till he shot up, not being able to stand the blood rushing to his head anymore. He was still backwards on the couch, but his hands where gripping the back of the couch, so he wouldn't fall off.
"Tanti-kun…" No reply. Kaito puffed out one cheek, much like an angry little kid; re shifted himself again, and started to do small magic tricks.
Juggling balls and changing their color.
Poof-ing card's in and out of his hand.
Hell, he went and got some of Shinichi's kitchen knives and started juggling them…
…And that got Shinichi's attention.
"What are you doing?" He asked, looking in concern at the 5, very sharp, knives.
"Juggling." Kaito replied calmly.
"With knives?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"I'm board." Kaito poof-ed them back to their rightful places. Shinichi gave him a 'That's-what-you-do-when-your-board?' look.
"Least I didn't dye your hair!" Kaito said cheerfully. Shinichi rolled his eyes, and then went back to reading…
…only to have his book promptly ripped out of his hands by a suddenly excited magician.
"I just thought of something we could do!"
"Oh yeah?" Shinichi said grumpily, faintly wondering why he decided to make friends with Kaito and not turn him in to the police. "What's that?"
Instead of replying, Kaito grabbed both of Shinichi's wrists and quickly pinned the detective to the couch.
"W-what are you doing?!" Shinichi's face was a light shade of red. He's so cute like this!
"Showing you what we're gonna do!" Kaito then gently captured Shinichi's lips with his own. Shinichi didn't know what to do. But he slowly found himself kissing the thief back.
After a little while, Kaito pulled away, a grin on his lips. "So, what do you think?"
"I think that you're an idiot." Shinichi deadpanned. Kaito pouted, and then blinked when Shinichi smirked. "But a rather good kisser."
Kaito grinned, then, for the second time that night, brought his lips to Shinichi's.
