A/N: *Bows deeply* I am so sorry! I promised a chapter every Friday and I couldn't deliver. I got really sick and didn't have the strength to lift my fingers to poke the keys to type out the story. This is a super short chapter, and you only get Don in it, but there will be another one posted right after it so don't hate too much, please.

WARNING! FLUFFY FLUFFNESS! Grab your toothbrush, you're gonna need it to prevent cavities that this chapter will cause from sweetness.

Donnie stretched out his limbs as he woke up. His left arm ached but it wasn't nearly as bad as it had been. Sara laid across his lap and was mumbling something. She looked so peaceful that Donnie was content to just sit there and watch her. The bruise on her cheek bothered him but she was still beyond beautiful to him. Sleep softened her features and lessened the tension she always seemed to carry.

"You were right, Mikey," Raph's voice made Donnie jump a little and he looked up to see his brothers standing not too far away. "They are cute together." Mikey had a video camera in his hands, the red record button flashing. Raph and Leo smirked at him, both with their arms crossed over their plastrons.

He knew he started to blush, but he couldn't help but grin back at his brothers. Mikey started to laugh and Donnie growled low at him, "If you wake her up, I'll kick your shell into next year." All of his brothers laughed at him and his newfound protectiveness over the thin redhead.

Sara rolled over and balanced on falling off the edge of the couch. Donnie pulled her back up onto his lap. "Who's making all that noise?" Sara asked with a yawn. Her eyes slowly opened. Her light green eyes blinked up at him and a small smile spread on her face. "Good morning," she said in a whisper. He whispered back and moved a piece of hair out of her face. "Good morning. Excuse me for a moment." He helped Sara sit up then Donnie lunged for his brothers. They scattered, laughing, and behind him, he heard Sara start to giggle. He playfully made a grab for Raph and Mikey before sitting back down on the couch. They'd left the room quickly, leaving the two of them alone. Leo had decided not to pester them anymore and vanished. He wrapped his arm around Sara's shoulders and pulled her close.

"What was all of that about," she asked, still giggling a little. Her eyes sparkled with delight. "They woke you up. Mikey thought it would be nice if he videotaped us together. I told them I'd kick their shells into next year if they woke you. How are you feeling today?"

"I'm still pretty sore. I didn't know I took so many hits." She tried finger combing her hair into some semblance of order. Donnie found it fascinating that she'd worry about it when she already looked perfect. His word filter obviously not up yet, he said, "You're beautiful." He enjoyed watching the blush creep over her face and her hands stop working through her hair. She opened her mouth then shut it. Her eyes pierced him and he sat there, grinning for a moment before he placed his hand on her cheek.

"Are you two love birds hungry?" Mikey called from the kitchen. In his hand, her face went even brighter. He felt the same warmth creep onto his cheeks. I owe Mikey a slap to the back of his head anyway, he thought. Sara chuckled and pressed her face into his hand. She closed her eyes and leaned close to him. He followed her and bent his head.

For a few moments as they kissed, the world could have exploded and he wouldn't have cared. Sara placed her hands on his plastron, both holding him close and keeping him from banging her against his injured arm again. He wanted to really kiss her, hold her and have her cling to him. He wanted breathless, heated passion. He wanted to smell her arousal again and know it was because of him.

He happily settled for the small, sweet exchange. He needed to do something before any of his other thoughts could happen. He broke the kiss and lean his forehead against hers. "Sara?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to go out with me?" Donnie held his breath as soon as the words left his mouth. No matter how sure he was that she would say yes, there was always the chance that she didn't want a relationship with him. He was a turtle. He couldn't give her dates and flowers. He couldn't walk in the daylight with her. He couldn't stop himself from wanting her all the same. "I'd love to, Donnie, really I would… It's just…" He almost passed out. She was rejecting him. She didn't want him. "I'm more of a home body so if we could stay in-" He'd realized she'd strung him along in a joke and started to tickle her. The gentle sound of her laugh erased all the anxiety he'd felt then she kissed him.

This time her lips seared his. She kept one hand on his plastron, protecting him from himself. The other held the back of his head, securing their connection while his hand gripped her hip tightly. He begged for entrance into her mouth with a gentle lick on her lower lip. Hesitantly, she opened and their tongues met.

Too many things assaulted his senses. The taste and feel of her mouth, the sound of her sharp breathing, the smell of her growing arousal as he pressed deeper into their kiss. Her hips rolled under his hand. He broke away, controlling his breathing. He silently thanked his dad for teaching him that because Donnie sat on the edge of losing self-control.

He wanted a relationship with Sara. He wanted to know her and for her to know him. He didn't want to rush things anymore than they already had been. He understood just how amazing it was that she wanted him and returned his feelings. He wanted to cherish this newfound happiness. If she really wanted to be with him then they'd have plenty of time for everything else later. Acknowledging that helped him find his center.

"Come on, lets eat, Donnie," Sara whispered, slightly out of breath. "Before one of your brothers does something else to embarrass one of us." Her eyes lit up in amusement, showing she didn't mind his brothers at all. She's perfect, he sighed inwardly as he took her hand and went to dine with his family.

A/N: That's probably as fluffy as any of my chapters will get, I'm not too great at it but I grinned the whole time I wrote it. If you have siblings then you know how Donnie felt. Next chapter will be posted immediately as my apology for not getting this one out on time, and for posting two short chapters in a row. Much love to everyone who has read my story so far.
