It's been almost two weeks since Laura and her dad moved from Reefside to Angel Grove. Tommy and Jason have been on a few dates and was really glad that all their friends now knew that they were together. They have been so busy with getting ready for senior year and there ranger business it was like Prince Gasket was out for blood. There was still tension between the team and Kat was shying away from her friends. She hung out with Tanya as long as she didn't bring up Tommy and Jason. And as for out on the battle field she started to have a problem taking any orders from Jason. She was really snappy with Tommy and never fully answered him and always talked straight to Billy or Zordon. Even now during this battle she refused to listen to Jason as Tommy, Rocky and Adam were off fighting the monster.
"Kat, help Tanya get those civilians to safety." Jason said
"No I got this you help her." Kat said as she headed off to the batch of cogs and leaving Tanya to handle the people. Jason turned away from Prince Gasket and seen that Tanya was getting the people out safely. As he continued to fight he then heard Kat scream. He kicked Gasket sending him running he turned to see Kat being manhandled and ran over to lend her a hand. He kicked a few cogs and then grabbed two who held her arms.
"I don't believe the lady wants to go with you. Kat you ok?"
"Damn it I said I got this." Kat hollered as she pushed Jason away and went after the few stragglers. Jason stood there till he heard Tommy and the other's call for their zords.
"Kat go the other's need you to make the mega zord I have this." Jason said
"Whatever." Kat said as she left to join the others. Jason finished off the cogs and was just about to make his way back to the command center when Tommy called.
"Jase we need help." Tommy said
"On my way Bro. Pyramidas a rise." Jason said as his zord was now on its way. After a good ten minutes of fighting they were headed back to power chamber. Jason was upset that Kat had refused to take orders and wasn't going to say anything. He was going to have a privet talk with Tommy to have him talk to her, but Billy beat him to the punch.
"Great job rangers Tanya those people are all ok thanks to you." Zordon said
"Kat what was that out there?" Billy asked
"What was what?" Kat asked
"You know what I mean you disobeyed an order. Jason asked you to help Tanya with the civilians, and you told him no and went after the cogs. You put yourself in danger and Jason still had to save you and what thanks did he get but you pushing him." Billy said as Tommy looked to Kat.
"Kat is that true?" Tommy asked as Kat stood there and wasn't saying a word just looking around the room.
"Yeah I could have used a little help." Tanya said
"Jase did she disobey you?" Tommy asked looking to his boyfriend. Jason didn't want to get Kat into trouble but he wasn't about to lie to Tommy he never has and never will.
"Yeah she did." Jason said
"Kat I have noticed these last two weeks that you have been very distant from your team and never taking orders from Jason and even giving Tommy a hard time. Is everything ok?" Zordon asked as Kat looked around the room and knew that she was busted she thought she was doing a good job of covering it up.
"Look Kat if this is about what we told you I am sorry that you were hurt, and I am sorry that you can't accept what Jase and I have but when we are out on the battle field you need to listen to him like you do me." Tommy said as Kat shook her head and stood away from all of them.
"Would someone inform me what is going on?" Zordon asked as both Jason and Tommy stepped forward.
"Zordon Jason and I have been dating for almost two months we told the guys and just recently told the girls and Kat didn't take to it to well." Tommy said
"Kat is that the reason that you were giving Jason and Tommy a hard time?" Zordon asked
"Look we all have our feeling and thoughts and beliefs. And mine have always been that it is wrong. And even for friends I can't change what I fell or think. You know I have been thinking allot about this and well I can't do this anymore I can't keep doing this and being around it. Today was my last battle have fun trying to find a new pink ranger." Kat said as she took off her zeonizer and placed it on the consol.
"Kat you can't be serious." Tanya said
"I am I can't be around this it's too wrong and I am done. Billy teleport me out now." Kat said as Billy hit a few buttons and she was gone. Tommy looked over to see the shock on Jason's face as Adam stepped forward.
"Zordon what are we going to do? Can we find someone to take over I mean the crystals chose us." Adam asked
"There is a way but you have only twenty four hours before the crystal no longer exist." Zordon said
"Who do we get we don't know anyone who is qualified to be a ranger?" Tanya asked
"Well I know someone but Tommy's not going to like it." Jason said
"Who?" Tommy asked
"Well I was thinking about who better than someone who is a 4th degree black belt in karate and just started taekwondo." Jason said as Tommy knew who he was talking about he smiled and wondered just how she would take it.
"Well come on tell us?" Tanya said
"Yeah I'd like to know." Adam said
"He was thinking about my sister." Tommy said "And I couldn't agree more, I mean she knows how to fight she would be perfect." Tommy said
"I am all for it." Rocky said
"Yeah me too." Adam replied
"So Tommy do you think your sister would accept the crystal." Zordon said
"I do I just have to talk to her, Jase would you go with me?" Tommy asked as Jason nodded and the two teleported out just down the street from his sister's house.
"Jase why didn't you speak up when we got back to the power chamber?" Tommy asked
"I was going to wait till we were alone and tell you to have you talk to her privately without involving Zordon. I didn't want her in trouble. I am sorry." Jason said as Tommy took his hand into his and held it as they continued on to his sister's house.
"It's ok I kind of knew that this was going to happen sooner or later with the way she was keeping her distance from us." Tommy said as they walked up to the door.
"Let's hope that she accepts this cause if not were in trouble." Jason said
"She is a great person and a good soul she barely knew me and was behind me 100% no matter what. I am sure once we explain this she'll go with us." Tommy said as he knocked on the door waiting in it to open.
"Hello boys what can I do for you?" Vince asked
"We were looking for that sister of mine." Tommy said
"Oh she just went to for a run in the park." Vince said as the two boys said bye and headed to the park to find his sister. The two walked toward the Youth Center and if they could find her then they would contact Billy for help. Just as they were coming to the split on the trail they saw Laura resting against a tree listing to music. Just as they rounded the bend to make their way to here they saw Kat walking toward her. They watched as Laura took her ear buds out as they were just feet apart. Jason held onto Tommy's hand holding him back from interrupting the two girls as they talk. Jason knew that if anyone could reach out and try to talk some sense into Kat it was Laura. Kat raise her arms yelling at her as she turned to walk away, Kat grabbed her by the shoulder and Laura grabbed her hand and flipped her over. Tommy and Jason made their way over to the two girls just as Kat got up and took noticed to both Tommy and Jason standing there.
"I've told you once that I don't want to hear it and I meant it. Now leave me alone and stay away from my brother as well." Laura said
"Gladly and I still meant what I said to you all back at the Chamber I am done with you all." Kat said as she walked away. Tommy looked to his sister and back to Jason knowing that this was the right choice.
"So what do I owe the pleasure of you two find me out?" Laura asked
"Well we needed to talk to you and ask you a very important question." Jason said
"Yeah can you walk with us so we can talk to you for a minute?" Tommy asked
"Yeah sure what's going on? Please tell me you two are ok?" Laura asked
"No were good but we have a favor to ask you but first we have to tell you about a secret that involves Tommy, Rocky, Adam, Tanya and I and up until this morning Kat." Jason said
"Ok so what is this secret I am all ears." Laura said
"Have you head of the power rangers?" Tommy asked
"Yeah I have heard a lot about them. Dad was hesitant about moving here because of it. Why?" Laura asked
"Well Laura we Tommy, Adam, Rocky, Tanya and I we are the power ranger and up to this morning so was Kat." Jason said
"What happened?" Laura asked
"Well these last two weeks she's been distant and not listing to me or Jase on the battle field and it got her into trouble as well as Tanya. Well Jason wasn't going to call her on it and have me talk to her. But Billy brought it up and well Zordon found out and she took off her zeonizer and left." Tommy said as Laura looked to her brother and his boyfriend.
"Ok so you are telling me you two along with your friends are the power ranger. Cool so what do you want with me?" Laura asked
"Well Kat quite on us this morning and well we need a new pink ranger. And well Jason thought of you." Tommy said
"Are you serious you want me to be a power ranger? Laura asked
"Yeah we need to find someone to replace Kat before the powers no longer exist. Please Laura you were the only on we could think of?" Jason said as Laura looked to both of them like they were nuts. They were standing there watching her as she was thinking it over when the beep of their communicators went off.
"Jason here." Jason said
"Jase we have trouble you and Tommy get back here." Billy said
"But were talking to Laura." Tommy said
"Bring her with you." Zordon said as Jason looked to Tommy and Laura.
"Hold my hand." Jason said as she took his hand and the three of them teleported off to the power chamber. Laura opened her eyes to fine herself among her friends and a floating head and a robot.
"Ok where are we?" Laura asked
"We are in the power chamber." Jason said
"Welcome Laura Tommy speaks highly of you." Zordon said
"What the problem?" Tommy asked
"There are a batch of cogs terrorizing the patrons at the beach club." Billy said
"Were on it." Jason said
"Be careful ranger who knows what else Gasket has planned." Zordon said
"It's morphin time." Tommy said
"Zeo Ranger 2 Yellow." Tanya said
"Zeo Ranger 3 Blue." Rocky said
"Zeo Ranger 4 Green." Adam said
"Zeo Ranger 5 Red." Tommy said
"Gold Ranger Power." Jason said as Laura watched as the five of them disappeared. Billy stood there with her as she watched as they battled the cogs. Just as they were finished with them there was a monster.
"Is it always like that I mean the cogs and then the monster?" Laura asked
"Usually yeah it's always been the way. Even when I was a ranger there were the foot soldiers and then the monster. And just when we thought the monster was beaten the 30 foot story version showed up. And we had to call upon our zords." Billy said
"Oh god are they ok?" Laura asked
"They are the best. They are very good at what they do." Zordon said
"So Billy you were a ranger with who?" Laura asked
"Yeah I was one of the original five. Jason, Zack, Trini, Kim and me. Then along came the green ranger who was Tommy. Then the green ranger's powers were lost and Zordon created the white ranger. When it came time for the zeo crystals I gave up my chance to be a ranger again due to the crystal having five parts. So I am working here in the power chamber helping Alpha with the maintenance and other stuff." Billy said as they continued to watch the battle.
"Jason you are going to have to go after the monster in Pyramidas being the other ranger do not have the pink zeo zord to form the mega-zeo zord." Zordon said
"Got it. Pyramidas arise." Jason said he got to his zord and started the battle against the monster. Laura was lost in watching the battle that Jason was in against the monster then her brother and friends. Jason was having a tough time with the monster.
"Zordon is there any way to put the pink zeo zord on auto pilot Jason needs help." Tommy said as Laura was feeling a bit uneasy about everything seeing her brother and her friends having trouble.
"Zordon how can I help them?" Laura asked
"Did the boys ask you to become the pink ranger?" Zordon asked
"Yeah they did I hadn't answered them cause you called. But I want to help them." Laura said
"Aye-yi-yi-yi-yi the ranger are really in trouble." Alpha said
"Laura take the zeonizer and place it to your wrist and if it accepts you you'll know right away." Billy said as she picked it up and place it on her left wrist and waited a minute till there was a pink glow surrounding her.
"Congratulations Laura the crystal has bonded with you, you are now the new pink zeo ranger. Now go help your teammates." Zordon said
"Just say Zeo Ranger 1 Pink and bring your wrist together like this." Billy said showing her how to do it.
"Ok here goes. Zeo Ranger 1 Pink." Laura said as it was a matter of seconds that she was the pink ranger. She then hit then teleported out of the chamber and out to the battle field next to her brother and friends as they watched as Jason was getting his butt kicked
"Hey guys how about we help out Jason?" She asked
"Kat that you?" Tanya asked
"Nope it's me Laura." Laura said
"Sis you did it, it worked great let's go save Jason" Tommy said "Super Zeo zords."
The five zords were brought to the battle field and in no time they had the mega zord assembled and assisting Jason in the fight against the monster. After Laura showed up as the pink ranger things got better for the power rangers. They defeated the monster and were back at the power chamber in no time at all. They were all de-morphed and Alpha and Billy were surrounding Laura making sure she was holding the powers ok.
"All right Billy give me good news?" Tommy asked
"Well from everything that Alpha and I scanned and the readouts the powers bonded to her very well even better than they did with Kat like they were meant to be Laura's." Billy said as Tommy hugged his sister.
"Thanks sis for agreeing to do this and helping us out." Tommy said
"Hey I'd do anything for family and for my new found friends." Laura said
"Rangers good job out there. Laura welcome to the team and thank you. But there are a few rules that go with these powers. Rule #1 Never use your power for personal gain. Rule # 2 Never escalate a battle unless Gasket forces you. Rule # 3 Always keep your identity a secret no one may know that you are a power ranger. Laura do you understand these rules?" Zordon asked
"Yes I do. But one question what about Kat she knows because she was one, can we trust her to keep the secret being she is no longer one?" Laura asked
"Yes she will keep the secret I have made sure of it you have nothing to worry about. Now go rangers and celebrate your win." Zordon said as the six of them teleported out and found themselves on the beach.
"So Laura how does it feel to be one of us?" Adam asked
"Oh god it feels amazing when these two first told me I was shocked and yet intrigued at the same time. And after seeing you all morph and fighting I knew that I wanted to help no matter what." Laura said
"Well welcome to the team." Tanya said as she hugged Laura and then took Adam's hand "You ready to go my parents are waiting?"
"Yeah sure bye guys." Adam said as he and Tanya left.
"Speaking of which Jase it's dinner with both our parents." Tommy said
"Man is that tonight." Jason said looking at his watch. "Crap mom is going to kill us were going to be late."
"Bye sis talk to you later." Tommy said hugging her and the taking Jason's hand and the two of them leaving.
"How about you Billy you going to ditch Laura and I." Rocky asked
"Unfortunately I have to meet my dad he's leaving town for two weeks tomorrow." Billy said as he too left leaving Laura and Rocky alone.
"So, Rocky what about you do you have to be home for dinner?" Laura asked
"Nope my parents are in Stone Canyon visiting my brother." Rocky said
"Well how about you come with me and we'll have dinner with my dad as long as he's home." Laura said
"You sure?" Rocky asked
"Yeah everyone ditched us so why not." Laura said as the two headed to her house to get some food. With all the couples doing their own thing Laura was taking it upon herself to keep Rocky from being the fifth wheel.
