Here we are. The thirtieth and final chapter of this series. I'd like to thank all of the readers for their support, and constructive criticism. I'd also like to explain the nature of this chapter. This chapter is not like any other chapter in the series. It is extremely long. It picks up from where the last chapter left off, but spans several decades, giving glimpses into the future. Hope you enjoy!

PS If you leave a review, tell me what you thought was the best chapter of the series. I'm curious to see what you all say!

After Stan arrived, the original clan of nineteen were together at the terminal: Dipper, Pacifica, Mabel, Soos, Melody, Wendy, Stan, Mr and Mrs Pines, Hamilton, Thatcher, Allie, Elliott, Atlantico, Candy, Eva, Tracy, Janet, and Laura. Dipper and Pacifica also ended up inviting Grenda and Marion, and Mabel's boyfriend Dan, who was slightly mentally challenged but was as sweet as could be, brining the final total of wedding attendees to twenty-two.

"Flight 455 to Fiji now boarding." the intercom said.

Everyone grabbed their luggage and began boarding the plane. Once everyone had settled, the plane took off. Dipper was sitting next to Pacifica.

"Hopefully, this will be better than my last flight." Dipper said.

"Don't remind me." Pacifica replied.

"Sorry. Anyway, I'm so excited for this! Just think, in three days we will be married and off to our honeymoon in Australia." Dipper said.

"I can't wait." Pacifica replied.

The flight from San Francisco landed in Atlanta, and after a quick layover, they were headed to Fiji. A few hours into the fifteen-hour flight, Pacifica fell asleep, and Dipper decided to get up to see how everyone was doing. Most everyone was sleeping, except for Tracy, who was ordering alcohol, his parents, who were chatting, Soos, who was playing on his iPhone 13, and Wendy, who was looking out the window wistfully. The adjacent seat was open, so Dipper sat down next to her.

"Hey, are you all right?" Dipper asked.

"Oh, hi. Yeah, I'm fine." Wendy said.

"How have you been?" Dipper asked.

"Oh, all right. I've missed you, you know." Wendy said.

"Yeah, I've missed you, too. It's too bad we lost contact after that second summer." Dipper said.

"Yeah." Wendy replied.

"So, did you see Robbie is the lead guitarist for 'Monstropolous'?" Dipper asked.

"Yeah, and he just married Tambry." Wendy said.

"I can't believe those two worked out." Dipper said.

The two continued chatting for a while, until Wendy felt tired and said she wanted to sleep.

Dipper got up, and went over to talk to his parents, who he had not seen for a very long time. He had said hello to them at the airport, but hadn't really gotten to talk much.

"Hey, mom. Hey, dad." Dipper said.

His parents looked up. "Oh, Dipper! We had wanted to talk to you." his mom said.

"Cool, about what?" Dipper asked.

"About...your fiancée. Are you sure she's the right girl? After all, you're only twenty-three." his mom said.

Dipper was surprised. He had spent so much time dealing with Pacifica's father's aversion to their relationship that he had never considered his parents' opinion.

"Mom, I have never been more sure of anything in my life." Dipper said.

"Okay, just checking. Because your father rushed into marriage with a certain girl named Danielle, and it was only after marrying her that he realized she was a bunch of female gnomes." his mom said.

"Don't bring that up!" Dipper's dad said.

"Yeah, I assure you Pacifica isn't gnomes. We're really happy together." Dipper said.

"I can tell you are telling the truth from the way you talk about her. Congratulations, my boy." his mom said.

"Congratulations, son." his dad said

Dipper smiled. "Thanks, guys."

After giving them hugs, he returned to his seat, and fell asleep himself. When he awoke, he was told there was only four hours left in the flight.

He and Pacifica chatted for a while, and then they each got up and talked to there respective friends. After a nice lunch and some more chatting, the plane was already preparing to land.

"Please go back to your seats, preparing for landing in Fiji." the intercom said.

Dipper and Pacifica sat back down, and the plane landed smoothly.

"Welcome to Fiji. You may now exit the plane." the stewardess said.

After the chaos of passing through security, the crowd of twenty-two finally stepped outside and took in the beautiful island of Fiji. The sun was bright, and there were almost no clouds in the sky.

"Listen up!" Dipper said. "As you all know, the wedding is the day after tomorrow at 6:00 PM. So, until then, the time is yours to enjoy this island. We are staying at the main street hotel, only a mile from the beach."

Everyone nodded, and then followed Dipper to the hotel. Everyone checked in, and got settled in their respective rooms. The boys had one floor, and the girls had another, with the exception of the married couples. Each was going to have a non-formal bachelor/bachelorette party the night before the wedding. Dipper and Pacifica weren't going to share a room until the night of the wedding. Dipper instead shared a room with Atlantico. The boys also had a central room with a large window that gave a view of the beach, several soft couches, and a large TV.

For the most of the first day, everyone just hung around their rooms and caught up on some sleep, which had been thrown off by jet lag. However, on the second day, everyone was up and about, enjoying the tropical paradise of Fiji. By 5:00, everyone had returned to the hotel, and got set for the bachelor and bachelorette parties.

Dipper walked in to the main room, where Hamilton, Thatcher, Soos, Dan, Atlantico, Stan and Marion.

"For he's a jolly good fellow..." they sung as Dipper entered the room.

Dipper smiled, and sat down at the dinner table.

When the song was over, Atlantico stood up. "Welcome, Dipper. Tonight, we celebrate your last night as a single man."

"Yes, yes, thank you." Dipper said.

Stan stood up. "Hey, I've got a story to tell! So back when Dipper was twelve, I opened the door to the bathroom, and there Dipper was, singing along to "Disco Girl" by BABBA!" When Stan finished, he sat down, laughing hysterically. Everyone else was laughing too, except Dipper, who was scowling at Stan.

"Very funny, very funny." Dipper said sarcastically.

"How about that one time Dipper asked a girl out on a date in college, and she said yes, but when he met her for the date, all that was there was a whoopie cushion!" Thatcher said.

Dipper facepalmed.

"Yeah, and this one time, Dipper and I were ...playing video games." Soos said.

Everyone looked at Soos. "What?" Soos asked, confused.

"Soos, the stories are supposed to be funny and embarrassing." Stan said.

"Oh." Soos said.

"In all seriousness, though, Dipper is a great guy. To Dipper." Atlantico said, toasting with everyone.

The rest of the night was filled with more embarrassing stories, several people getting drunk. By 10:30, most people had retired to their rooms.

Dipper eventually retired to his room at 11:00. He was about to go to sleep when he heard a knock at the door.

He opened the door groggily. "Yeah?" Dipper said. He realized it was Wendy at the door.

"Listen, Dipper. We need to talk." Wendy said.

"Ok. I was about to go to bed, so make it quick." Dipper said.

"There's something I have to confess." Wendy said. "I..I.."

"Get on with it, I'm tired." Dipper said.

"I..think I'm in love with you." Wendy said.

"Heh, heh...wait, WHAT?" Dipper said, realizing what she had said.

"I know it's crazy, but ever since we met up last month, I've just had feelings for you. You're just..the only guy that's ever cared about me, and, well, you're kinda hot." Wendy said.

Dipper was still trying to process what she had said. "And you're telling me this..on the night before my wedding?"

"I know it's crazy, but isn't there a part of you that thinks we were meant to be together?" Wendy said.

"I..I've got to go." Dipper said. Dipper ran down the hallway to the main room to grab a beer. Why would Wendy just pop this on him at 11:30 the night before his wedding.

Dipper sat down on a couch, and popped open a beer.

"Hi, Dipper!" someone said, making Dipper jump.

Dipper turned around. It was Mabel's boyfriend, Dan.

"Oh, it's you." Dipper said.

"Yes, it's me." Dan replied.

Dipper sighed.

"Is..is there something wrong, Dipper?" Dan asked.

"Promise you won't tell anyone else?" Dipper asked.

"I promise." Dan said.

"Well, somebody just...told me something big. I'm supposed to get married tomorrow, but this is just messing with my mind. It's not like I don't love Pacifica, I do, but all the sudden I've gotten this feeling that I've made my decision too quick." Dipper said.

"Well, can...can I offer you my opinion, Dipper?" Dan asked.

"Sure." Dipper replied.

"Well, I may not be a smart man, but I know what love is. And you and Pacifica...have the most love I've ever seen." Dan said.

Dipper looked at Dan. "Oh my god, you're right. Of course you're right. I love Pacifica. Why would I question it? Thanks man." Dipper said.

"You're welcome, Dipper!" Dan said, as Dipper got up and ran back to his room, where Wendy was still standing.

"Ok, Wendy look. Maybe I liked you back when I was thirteen, but that was a long, long time ago. Pacifica... makes me happy. I love her. If you think, even for a second, that I would run away with anyone, and leave behind the girl I love, then you don't know me at all." Dipper said.

Wendy put her hands on her face. "Of course, you're right. I'm sorry. I think, just seeing you and Pacifica, Grenda and Marion, Mabel and Dan, Atlantico and Candy, Soos and Melody, reminded me that I want a relationship. I never should've told you this. I'm just stupid. And desperate."

Dipper put his hand on Wendy's shoulder. "Come on, Wendy. You're not stupid. No girl could resist my stunning good looks."

Wendy half-chuckled.

"But in all seriousness, you will find someone. And it might not be the first person you'd expect. I never would have thought Pacifica Northwest would've been the girl I'd end up with, but she is. And sooner or later, you'll find someone, too." Dipper said.

Wendy looked up and smiled. "Thanks for talking to me, Dipper. I'm sorry I put you in such an awkward place."

"Hey, you owed me one. Telling you I loved you when I was twelve was pretty awkward. Now we're even." Dipper said.

Wendy laughed.

"So, are you still coming to the wedding?" Dipper asked.

"Yeah. One of my best friends getting married? I wouldn't miss it for the world." Wendy said.

Dipper smiled. "See you then." He then went back in to his room and fell asleep.

"BRO, BRO BRO WAKE UP! YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED TODAY!" the voice of Mabel yelled from outside, as Dipper rubbed his eyes, and realized that today was the day. He was getting married.

Without getting out of his pajamas, he walked out of his room and joined a few others in the common room for breakfast. Afterwards, he went back to his room and put on a t-shirt and shorts. He wasn't going to put on his tuxedo until later, so he wouldn't get it dirty.

4:00 arrived quickly, and it was time for Dipper to start getting ready. Pacifica had started hours ago, but as a man, Dipper could get done quicker. He simply took a shower, brushed his hair, got into his best tuxedo, and was ready for the wedding with time to spare. He took a walk on the beach while others set up the area for the wedding. He was exempt from helping because it was his wedding day.

As he looked out on the beautiful ocean, he took a moment to realize how crazy his journey was to get to this point. It all started with the day where Dipper went to the Northwest Mansion. In a crazy way, that lumberjack ghost was the best thing that ever happened to Dipper. Then, it was meeting Pacifica again at the bar. She had brightened his boring life. Then he had to deal with Mr. Northwest, his crazy schemes, and even a plane crash. But now, he was strolling the beaches of Fiji, about to get married to the most wonderful girl. And there was nothing that was going to get in his way.

Dipper returned to the location of the wedding, where there were only a few simple fixtures. Chairs for the guests, and a pretty archway where Dipper and Pacifica would stand under to get married.

"So, Dipper, you never mentioned this. Who is going to marry you?" Atlantico asked.

"Well, we are going to do something...non-conventional." Dipper said.

"What's that?" Atlantico asked.

"We actually bought this parrot from a local pet store, and got someone to train it to say the wedding things." Dipper said.

"Seriously? That's pretty freaking cool." Atlantico said.

"Yeah. Soos will do most of the talking, but the parrot will say some of the lines. Pacifica and I didn't want anything traditional. Except the attire." Dipper said.

"Good for you guys. When I get married, I'm going to make it as abhorrent to my parents as possible." Atlantico said.

"Are you planning on getting married?" Dipper asked.

"Yeah. I'm proposing to Candy soon." Atlantico said.

"No offense, but don't do it today! You'll steal our thunder." Dipper said.

"No, I'm waiting until later." Atlantico said.

"Dipper! Get ready!" Soos said. Dipper walked under the archway. Atlantico, the best man stood behind him, along with the groomsmen Dan, Thatcher, and Hamilton. The maid of honor Mabel, along with bridesmaids Eva, Janet and Laura. A few moments later, Pacifica began to walk towards Dipper, in a simple but absolutely beautiful dress.

Pacifica reached the archway, faced Dipper, and smiled.

"I've got the parrot!" Dipper's cousin Elliott said, who had been instructed to pick it up from the pet store.

"Is that legally binding?" Hamilton asked.

"Surprisingly, yes." Dipper said.

"We are here today today to celebrate the love of Dipper and Pacifica." Soos said.

Dipper looked into the crowd. His mom, Mabel, and even Stan were teary-eyed.

"Both of them wanted it short and sweet, so let's get to the point. Groom, you may state your vows." Soos said.

Dipper took Pacifica's hands. The setting sun glinted across the water, and filled the sky with a beautiful orange.

"Most people fall in love multiple times over the course of their lifetime, and that is true for me. I fell in love three times, to be exact. But unlike most people, each of those three times, I fell in love with the same person. You. You brighten my life, and remind me why life is worth living. I vow to always be there when you need me, and I vow to always be honest with you. I vow to protect you with every ounce of my existence. No matter what comes our way, I vow to love you with all my heart." Dipper said.

Pacifica was teary-eyes. "Aw man, now I have to follow that up."

Dipper smiled.

Pacifica began. "When I was young, I had a narrow view of the world. I was always taught status and money were the most important things. But then you came along. And you showed me what life is really about. It's about friendship, and happiness, and unconditional love. You made me a better woman. You make me the woman I am today. I vow to be forever the woman that you taught me to be."

Dipper was now teary-eyed. "That was a pretty good follow-up."

"Now we will proceed to the rings." Soos said. Atlantico handed Dipper the ring, and Mabel handed Pacifica a ring. Dipper and Pacifica each slipped the rings on to each other's fingers.

"Now it's time. Mr. Squawker, you're up." Soos said.

The parrot, hearing his name, began his lines.

"Do you, Dipper, take Pacifica to be your wife?" Mr. Squawker asked.

"I do." Dipper said.

"Do you, Pacifica, take Dipper to be your husband?" Mr Squawker asked.

"I do." Pacifica said.

"You may now kiss the bride." Mr. Squawker said.

Dipper and Pacifica leaned in, and shared their first kiss as a married couple. Everyone in the stands clapped, including a smiling Wendy.

"And now it's time for..the reception!" Mabel said excitedly.

Mabel led everyone to the common room in the hotel, where she had decorated, and set up a stereo system to play some songs. She first played some bouncy songs that people dance to excitedly, while Dipper and Pacifica simply sat down and chatted. However, later in the night, Mabel began playing slower songs. She played "Book of Love", a very romantic song that Dipper and Pacifica had chosen as their wedding song. When it began, Dipper took Pacifica's hand, and led her to the dance floor. They slow danced together, as their first dance as a married couple.

It was three years after the wedding, and life was good for Dipper. He and Pacifica had a fantastic honeymoon in Australia, and then returned to the USA. They had sold Northwest Manor, and used the money to buy a beautiful home on the San Francisco Bay. Dipper had found work with the San Francisco police as an analyzer of information. It was the perfect job for him, because he was able to solve mysteries like he loved, but he was never away from Pacifica. Pacifica herself had also found a job she loved. They had little fights from time to time, like any couple, but nothing serious. In general, they always enjoyed being with one another.

One day in early May, Dipper was watching Ducktective 5: Duck of Legends, when Pacifica came in and sat next to him.

"I have some big news." Pacifica said.

Dipper turned off the TV and faced Pacifica.

"What is it?" Dipper asked.

"I'm pregnant." Pacifica said.

Dipper was quiet for a second. "Oh my god! That's great! We're going to be parents!"

Dipper and Pacifica then shared a hug.

The baby was due in six months, and Dipper and Pacifica were at the doctor's office for a check-up.

They waited in the room together for the doctor to come back with the tests. After a bit, the doctor opened the door.

"Is everything fine?" Pacifica asked.

"Yes. But there's something you should know." the doctor said.

"What?" Pacifica asked.

"You're having twins." the doctor said.

Pacifica gasped.

"Well, they do run in the family." Dipper said.

"Yeah." Pacifica asked.

"Well, we were planning on having two kids, anyway. Just not at the same time!" Dipper said.

"It'll all work out." Pacifica replied.

Over the next few months, everything went smoothly. Dipper and Pacifica began to tell everyone about their twin children. They even visited Mr. Northwest's prison and told him, just to piss him off.

Finally, the day arrived. Dipper awoke to the sound of Pacifica saying his name.

"Dipper, Dipper." Pacifica said.

"What?" Dipper asked sleepily.

"I think I'm going into labor!" Pacifica said.

Dipper suddenly sprung up. "Oh my god! Let's go!" Dipper said.

Dipper rushed Pacifica downstairs and into the car. As Pacifica experienced contractions, Dipper drove the car as fast as he could without causing an accident to the hospital. They reached the hospital in time, and Pacifica was given a comfortable bed to lay on.

After an hour, Pacifica was ready for the delivery room. She was wheeled there by a couple doctors, as Dipper held her hand.

Pacifica's doctor began to tell her to push, as Dipper continued to hold her hand. after a minute of struggling, baby number one was born. The doctor held the baby and handed it to Dipper.

"It's a boy!" Dipper said.

Pacifica smiled. Dipper showed the baby to Pacifica.

"He's perfect." Pacifica said.

Dipper smiled. "Yeah."

"What should we name him?" Pacifica asked.

"Your call. You're doing all the work." Dipper said.

"Okay, but you get to name the other one." Pacifica said.

"Deal." Dipper said.

"I think I'll name this one...Trevor." Pacifica said.

"That's a cool name." Dipper said.

The new parents stared at their baby for a few minutes, until the doctor interrupted them.

"The other baby should be along soon." he said.

Dipper handed the baby to midwife, and held Pacifica's hand tightly. After a minute, the other baby had arrived.

"It's a girl!" Dipper announced. Both babies were now handed to a relieved Pacifica.

"We did it. We're parents!" Pacifica said, with tears of joy in her eyes.

"Yeah. We really did." Dipper said, giving Pacifica a kiss on the cheek.

"So, what are you going to name this one?" Pacifica asked.

"Mabel." Dipper replied.

Pacifica smiled. "Good choice."

Dipper and Pacifica sat at home, holding their newborn babies. They had notified everyone about the birth, and now Mabel, Soos, Meldoy, Dipper's parents, and several others were making their way to Dipper and Pacifica's home.

The first to arrive was Mabel, accompanied by her now husband Dan.

"Hey, guys! We came as fast as we could!" Mabel said.

"Hello, Mabel!" Meet Mabel." Dipper said, showing her the baby girl he was holding.

Mabel gasped. "You didn't tell me you had named her that!"

Dipper shrugged. "What else?"

"Can I hold the baby?" Dan asked.

"Sure." Dipper replied, handing Mabel to Dan.

His face brightened. "She's so beautiful."

"Thank you." Dipper replied. "Would you like to meet baby Trevor?"

Dipper led Mabel and Dan to Pacifica, who was holding Trevor.

"Hey guys! Glad you could come!" Pacifica said.

"Hello, mother!" Mabel said.

Over the course of the next few hours, many of Dipper and Pacifica's longtime friends stopped by to meet the new additions to the family. Soos, Melody, Atlantico, Candy, Wendy, and Mr. and Mrs. Pines.

After everyone had left, Dipper and Pacifica sat on the couch together, holding the babies, who were fast asleep.

Over the next few years, Dipper and Pacifica learned what it was like to be parents. They changed diapers, spoon-fed their kids, saw them walk for the first time, heard their first words, read to them, dropped them off on their first day of pre-school, their first day of kindergarten, went to parent-teacher conferences, tended to them when they were sick, and everything in between.

One day, on the last day of sixth grade for the twins, Dipper suggested something to Pacifica.

"You know, this is the age I was when I was sent to Gravity Falls. Do you think we could send them to Gravity Falls for the summer and live with Uncle Soos? They'd have the time of their lives." Dipper said. Soos had inherited the mystery shack after Stan moved to a retirement home.

"I'm not sure. They've never been away that long." Pacifica said.

"Come on, they'll have the time of their lives. Plus, they could use some time away from whatever the hell you call that thing that replaced the internet." Dipper said.

"True. Plus, we'll have the summer all to ourselves. Let's do it." Pacifica said.

After that, there was a knock at the door. Dipper and Pacifica answered, and Trevor and Mabel were there waiting.

"Hey guys! How was school?" Dipper said.

"Hey mom! Hey dad!" Mabel said, just as energetic as her namesake aunt. She had Dipper's brown hair, but Pacifica's facial complexion and eyes.

"Woo-hoo, no school!" Trevor yelled. Trevor was blond like his mother, but his face resembled his father.

"Hey, we have a big surprise for you." Dipper said.

"What?" Mabel asked.

"Well, first I've got to tell you a great story." Dipper said.

While Pacifica went and made an after-school snack for the kids, Dipper sat them down on the couch.

"When I was your age, your Aunt Mabel and I went to a town called Gravity Falls." Dipper said.

"Yes, we've heard this story before." Trevor interrupted.

"No, no. I know I've told you about Gravity Falls before. But, there's some things I left out. I never told you that I ran into some dangerous things. Monsters, demons, and a psychopathic nine-year old. But luckily, those problems are gone. Now, you can enjoy the mystique of the town without worrying about danger." Dipper said.

"What do you mean?" Mabel asked.

"I mean, I want you guys to have this." Dipper said, pulling an old book off the shelf. The book was Journal 3. "Mom and I think you guys would enjoy spending the summer in Gravity Falls. This book will tell you all the secrets of Gravity Falls. Discovering that was the most fun I've ever had."

"Dad, that sounds really boring." Trevor said.

"Bro, this is actually really cool!" Mabel said, leafing throught the pages. Dipper always saw himself in his daughter.

"I don't know. I don't really want to spend my summer there." Trevor said.

"Come on, it'll be fun. We'll get to stay with Uncle Soos and Aunt Melody!" Mabel said.

"All right. Uncle Soos is a pretty cool guy. Plus, maybe I can pick up some girl there." Trevor said.

"You're too young for that!" Dipper said.

"Says the guy who met Mom when he was our age." Trevor replied.

"Oh, right. I forgot I told you guys the story of how I met your mother." Dipper said.

Pacifica came back with snacks.

"So guys, what do you think of Dad's idea?" Pacifica asked.

"We'll go!" Mabel announced.

The following day, Trevor and Mabel had packed and waved goodbye to their parents as they rode the hyperloop to Gravity Falls. Dipper and Pacifica waved back, feeling the bittersweet emotion of letting their kids go off on their own for the first time.

Dipper and Pacifica, now in their forties, stood in a large crowd, witnessing their children's high school graduation.

"Please welcome the valedictorian...Mabel Pines!" the principal announced.

Dipper and Pacifica cheered.

"Is it wrong that I'm almost more proud of Trevor? I mean, we both knew all along that Mabel would get valedictorian, but we had serious doubts that Trevor would even graduate." Dipper said.

Pacifica laughed. "No, I get you. He's a smart boy, but he doesn't work very hard."

"It's amazing that those two get along, though." Dipper said.

"Yeah, it really is a wonder." Pacifica replied.

After the ceremony, Dipper and Pacifica met up with their kids. Trevor was with his girlfriend, Sarah Southeast, daughter of Atlantico and Candy. Mabel was wearing her special valedictorian cap.

"We're so proud of you two!" Pacifica said, hugging each one.

"And to think, next September, you'll be at Stanford, Mabel! And Trevor, you're going to Gravity Falls community college! Yay!" Pacifica said.

After the graduation, life was smooth for Dipper and Pacifica. With their kids grown up, they finally had some time to themselves. They took vacations, went to dinner with old friends, or simply just sat next to each other and read.

However, one day, when Dipper was already fifty-five, Dipper was at the house by himself until Pacifica came home.

When Dipper saw Pacifica's face, he knew something was wrong.

"What is wrong? Are you okay?" Dipper asked.

Pacifica looked at Dipper in the eyes, and a tear rolled down her face.

"What's wrong? Are the kids okay?" Dipper asked, upset.

"The kids are fine. But I...have cancer." Pacifica said.

It took a second for Dipper to process what she had said.

"What?" Dipper said, stunned.

"Pancreatic cancer. The doctors say I have one year to live." Pacifica said glumly.

Dipper began to tear up. "No, that can't be true. I can't lose you. We still have so much time left! After all, the average life expectancy is now 105!" Dipper said.

"It's..it's true. I've been to the doctor's before, monitoring it. I didn't want to worry you until it was confirmed." Pacifica said.

Dipper wrapped his arms around Pacifica, and hugged her tightly. "I told you when we got married that I would always protect you. And I will do everything in my power to help you through this." Dipper said, still teary-eyed.

Pacifica simply nodded, and hugged him back.

Over the next few weeks, Dipper and Pacifica broke the terrible news to everyone. Mabel. Dan. Soos. Melody. Wendy. Mr and Mrs Pines. Atlantico. Candy. The most painful was telling their still youthful children.

Over the course of the next few months, Pacifica continued to recieve chemotherapy. Dipper was always by her side. About six months into the treatment, Mabel called the whole family and got them together for an important meeting. They all met for lunch.

When everyone had arrived, Mabel began.

"I think I may be able to help Mom."

"What?" Dipper, Pacifica, and Trevor said in unison.

"Our lab has been experimenting with this new chemical. It flows through the body system, attaches mutated cells, and eradicates them. So far, 99 out of 100 rats that had cancer are now cancer free." Mabel said.

Everyone was speechless.

"You...cured cancer?" Dipper said.

"My lab has been working on it for a long time. We haven't tested it's effectiveness in humans yet, though. We are supposed to run a clinical trial before the drug is approved for use." Mabel said.

"Well, can Mom take it? How does it work?" Trevor asked.

"We haven't created one with enough potency that we believe it would be effective in humans. But we're working on it. If we are able to do that, Mom can take the chemical, given that it could be potentially dangerous." Mabel said.

"Do you have any reason to believe it would be?" Dipper asked.

"No. But standard procedure says we have to consider that it might, until it is tried." Mabel said.

"What is the timetable?" Dipper asked.

"We could probably have the thing prepared in...six or seven months." Mabel said.

"That's right about the time that the doctors give me to...live." Pacifica said.

"If we finish it, they'll have cancer patients apply to be part of the clinical trial. And you can be one of them." Mabel said.

"Mabel, you've done a lot of great things. But I can safely say that this is the proudest I've ever been of you." Pacifica said, giving her daughter a hug.

"I second that." Dipper said.

"Whoa, my little sister cured cancer!" Trevor said.

"I'm not your little sister." Mabel said.

"Ten minutes older!" Trevor said.

Mabel rolled her eyes. "Don't get too happy though. I mean, something could still go wrong." Mabel said.

"You've given us hope, though. And that's more than anyone expected." Dipper said.

Over the course of the next few months, Pacifica continued to receive treatment. She lost her hair, but Dipper insisted she was still as beautiful as always. Eleven months into the treatment, Pacifica's health took a turn for the worse. She was now permanently admitted to the hospital.

Dipper became increasingly worried. One day, he called Mabel to see how she was doing.

"Mabel? Are you making progress? I don't want to rush you, but Mom is...not doing well." Dipper said.

"Dad, we will have the chemicals ready in ten days. If we can get the hospital's approval, Mom can take the drugs soon." Mabel said.

"Alright. I don't know how much more time we have, so make sure not to waste any time." Dipper said.

"I won't." Mabel said.

"I love you." Dipper said.

"I love you, too, Dad." Mabel replied.

The next ten days were some of the worst of Dipper's life. He had to continuously wait outside while the doctors did work on Pacifica. Dipper questioned as to if the treatments were necessary, given that Pacifica would have the drugs soon, but the doctors replied that the treatment was the only thing keeping her alive.

The tenth day finally arrived, and miraculously, the drugs from Mabel's lab arrived. The doctors, with the consent of Pacifica, injected the drugs into her.

Dipper sat by her side. "I hope this works."

"Dipper, in case it doesn't..." Pacifica began.

"No. Don't talk like that." Dipper said.

"Please, listen. In case these drugs don't work, I need to tell you something important. I need to thank you for changing me. If I had never met you, I would've stayed my narrow-minded, snooty self. But you, Dipper Pines, you changed me. You showed me what it means to be a good person. Dipper Pines, you are the love of my life." Pacifica said, breathing heavily.

Dipper squeezed her hand. "Listen to me. No more of that talk. You will live. I know you will."

"I hope you're right." Pacifica responded weakly, before drifting off to sleep.

Dipper put his hands in his face and began to cry. He sat by Pacifica's side, for hours, just hoping, and hoping.

After about six hours, Pacifica had still not woken up. Dipper became increasingly concerned. Eventually, a doctor came in and said he was going to run some tests. Dipper was hesitant to leave Pacifica's side, but the doctor insisted. Dipper kissed her on the forehead and went to the waiting room, where he found his son Trevor had just arrived.

"Dad! How is mom?" Trevor asked.

"She's been out for hours now. The doctor is running some tests." Dipper said.

Trevor frowned, and took a seat in the waiting room. Dipper sat by his side, and they passed the time by reading a few magazines.

An hour later, the doctor who had ran tests came into the waiting room.

"Is she okay?" Dipper asked.

The doctor smiled. "More than okay. She's cancer-free."

"Really?" Trevor said.

"Yes. That test drug really worked. Apparently, her being knocked out was an unanticipated anesthetic side-effect." the doctor replied.

Trevor and Dipper looked at each other.

"Mabel did it! She cured cancer! Mom's going to be okay!" Trevor yelled.

"My daughter cured cancer!" Dipper screamed excitedly.

The father and son shared a huge man hug.

People in the waiting room began to turn heads.

"People, you are witnessing one of the greatest scientific breakthroughs of our time. Dr. Mabel Pines and her team of scientists has developed a drug that has effectively cured cancer. Seven of seven patients that it has been tried on have been cured." the doctor announced.

People in the waiting room began smiling, or questioning the doctor in disbelief.

Dipper and Trevor ran into the room. They saw Pacifica awake.

"Mom! You're okay!" Trevor said.

"Pacifica! I knew it! I told you you'd make it!" Dipper said.

Pacifica smiled, and gave each of them a hug. Then, she frowned. "But where's Mabel? Our family isn't complete without her." Pacifica said.

A few minutes later, none other that Mabel Pines walked in the door.

"Sorry I was late. Traffic." Mabel said.

"Mabel, you don't have to apologize to me for anything, ever again." Pacifica said, giving her daughter a big hug.

"Mabel! You did it! I am beyond proud of you." Dipper said, hugging his daughter tightly.

The family continued to celebrate together, cherishing the moment where they were all healthy once again.

Dipper and Pacifica had been through a lot. Memory loss, a hit man, a plane crash, and even cancer. But after Pacifica was cured, their luck finally turned. They returned to their house after that, and lived there for ten more years. They also attended Mabel's Nobel Prize acceptance ceremony.

When they both finally retired, they agreed to move to Long Beach, California, where they bought a nice beach house. Every week, some family member or friend would visit them at their beach house. Mabel and Dan, who lived only a few miles away, would come often. Candy and Atlantico would also come periodically. They also welcomed Soos, Melody, and Wendy on occasion. Their children, their spouses, and their grandchildren also visited the beach house.

One warm evening, Dipper and Pacifica sat next to each other on the beach, watching the setting sun glint over the water. They simply held hands, without even saying any words, and cherished the fact that they had been able to grow old with the love of their life.
