Chapter 9: If you get a Second Chance, Don't Mess It Up

The moonlight shines so bright that night and it illuminates the whole Edo. The ocean is at peace too when suddenly the ground breaks. Tiny animals near the shore ran to their shelter. The ocean splits into two and came out a very big cave. Inside you can see the light. And there were noises coming from it.

"Let's go to Kabukicho and destroy Edo! Who's with me?!" an amanto asked the crowd of his fellow amantos. Swords hanging up in the air, flags for cheering.

"Can we join you guys?" The crowd shift their heads to the direction of the two 'Elizabeth' raising their hands.

"Should you have placards with you?"

"You're right..." The two lift their Elizabeth costume, "but we're busy holding these!" Gin and Zura launched their attacks together. They fought the amantos one by one. One time, Gin managed to ask Zura, "Hey, where's Sakamoto?"

"I'm right here! Oops!" Sakamoto accidentally pulled the trigger.

"You nearly killed me there!"

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" Mutsu entered the scene, "Sorry he's drunk again..."

"Let's get this party started!" Sakamoto launched his 2 guns and started the battle on his own. The others followed suit. They went closer and closer to the bunkhouses. They kicked the doors and most of them they found drugs and amantos hiding.

'Where are you Otae?'

(One of the bunkhouses)

"Where am I?" The girl in pink tattered kimono woke up and only to find out that she was handcuffed up in the ceiling but her feet still touches the ground. By the way, the room was so dark, only the moon gives her the light to see.

"They shot you thrice. 3x more than the normal limit. You know what I meant?"

"Wh...Who are you?! Show up if you're not afraid bastard!" She said with determination but she knew what he meant.

"No wonder Gin adores you...you still act tough even though you're in a brink of death."

"It's not true...Gin never adores-"

"—Just like Shoyou-sensei..." Otae gasped on what she heard.

Just then, the guy pulled her chin closer to his face, "I'm Takasugi Shinsuke. Nice to meet you."

(Battlefield)

"We kicked all the doors and we still cannot find her!"

"And we're surrounded!" Gin, Zura, Sakamoto and Mutsu formed a circle, defending one another.

"You don't have time Gintoki..." Zura whispered to him. Gin didn't quite sure but he felt nervous as he thought of Otae being captive by Takasugi. 'I will never forgive you Takasugi'

Just then, a bazooka intrudes the chaos, "Don't worry Danna. We've got your back." A boyish-faced sadist entered with a bunch of uniformed men.

"Shinsenggumi..." Gin's only word he said.

"Well, we came here unexpectedly because we've got an information from someone we never expected" Hijikata said, eyeing Zura. Gin then stared at Zura, "Gintoki...I'm one of your best friends and I want to teach Shinsuke a lesson..."

Toshi butts in, "But it will not be an excuse for you to escape from us..." And just like that, Toshi and Zura smiled at each other like they were bffs, unexpectedly.

"And do you think you're the only one who wants to save he?"

"Gori..."

"Sorry Gintoki but these two begged to come." Kagura and Shinpachi walked in.

"What are you doing here?"

"We have a job, right?"

"And I want to be stronger, for aneue Gin-san..."

"...Fine but don't go home crying and hide from the boss lady..."

"Gin-san..." Megane went closer as he slashed an amanto on his path, "I know you want to do this alone. Aneue knew you're the kind who hides their problem and solve it on your own. It's not actually the right time to discuss this but...I trust you Gin-san...I know you can save her!"

"Shinpachi..."

"Go Gin-chan! We'll save Mr. Tokomo and others, aru!" Just then Kondo said to him, "This time...I'm the one who should ask favour from you...Protect her from me!"

Gin only managed to smirk but they knew what he meant. Then he ran. He ran as fast as he could, 'Wait for me...'

"Not so fast!" A bang was followed. The three boys went ahead as Kagura, Mutsu and Shinpachi were left behind. A girl in pink crop top went down and flashed her two guns, "Nice meeting you again Yato..."

"Oh! The stain in her panties girl, yes?"

Matako freaked out suddenly, "Stop it! I always changed my undies!" She shot her but her bullet was interfered by another bullet, "What the-"

"Sorry but...I think you should mess up with me."

"I'm sorry but I was looking forward to fight with this Yato..."

"What if I remind you that..." Mutsu removed her hat, "...I'm a fellow Yato."

"WHAT?!" Matako kept dodging the attack from the two Yatos. "Henpeita!" The guy, who dressed up as Takasugi, blocked Kagura, "You shouldn't do these thing kid...You can grow up beautifully as a pretty lolicon—"

"—I'm not a Lolicon!" Kagura punched him and was hit by a wall.

"I think it's between you and me, gun by gun."

"Fine" The two gunners started their fight and Shinpachi saw a chance to find the room where Tokomo and others were hiding.

On the other hand, Zura and Sakamoto stopped their tracks when they felt strings attached to their body. Gin was about to cut 'em down when Bansai appeared before him. They were about to attack each other when Sakamoto pulled the trigger and cut the strings down. He managed to kick Bansai away from Gin. "Gin, Run!" And Gin ran fast as he could.

"Sakamoto and Zura. Nice to meet you, " Bansai said, wiping his bloody lip[s. He was quite surprised that Sakamoto was strong, despite being psycho and all.

"It's not Zura, It's Katsura...I think Takasugi already told you about us..."

"You guitar freak! We already know what's behind that drugs. I hope you don't mind to listen to our explanation-"

"—Oh actually we already knew the secret..." Bansai smirked as the two gasped. "Let the battle begin!"

(Room)

"Why are you so fed about him?! What did he do to you?!"

"What did he do to me?! WHAT DID HE DO TO ME?!" he laughed sarcastically, "I don't know...maybe abandoning and taking sides to the world who betrayed our sensei!" He slapped her, "How come he can live in this world full of traitors?! Don't get me started on Zura too?!"

Otae was so tired but she smiled at him ironically, "Do you think your sensei is happy on what you are doing?"

"Don't dare speak of our sensei! You don't know my past or Gintoki's past!"

"You're the one who don't understand the world...I don't know much about you or Gin-san's past but I know he regrets what he did every single day and he wants to make up for it even it takes the rest of his life..."

While she was speaking, he felt someone was behind him, grabbing his wooden sword.
