Whew with all the old chapters rewritten and renumbered so it makes more sense now, should be able to get more done in advancing the story now.

(Emilia pov)
As we were on our way to the Veilstone department store to get the nutrients, Daz needs to boost his special attack stat, but looking around the city of stone, it was quite boring. Suddenly something caught my eye, "hold on, we're going over hear to look at this."
"What is this place?" asked Daz.
"Can't you read the sign dummy, it says Veilstone game corner." I Responded to Daz
The building that caught my attention had a bright flashing sign (think Las Vegas casino signs) that had the words, "Veilstone game corner" plastered on it and a small sign that said 'aim for an explosion of good luck' also from the inside of the building I could hear some funky music.
"I want to see what's in here before we go to the department store."
Walking into the building was a new experience in itself, in the left there was a woman behind a counter in the middle there were slot machines upon slot machines which some of which had people playing on them, the floor was a bright red carpet. Walking over to the counter looking at the game on the slot machines it seemed you had to match 3 of the same picture up together and then you would get a prize, simple really.
"Hello welcome to the Veilstone game corner how many coins would you like to buy, 1000 for fifty and 10,000 for five hundred." the lady told me
"Uh,umm, I'll take 50 coins please."
The lady nodded and gave me a modest stack of golden coins and I handed over a few crumpled notes.
I took a seat at one of the slot machines in the back corner on the top of the machine there was a key triple seven and triple G's both win you hundred coins (at this point in time she doesn't know who team galactic are) three moonstones get you fifteen coins, three Pikachus gets me ten coins, the berries, get me two coins and the R lets me replay or take fifteen coins.
"So how does it work?" Asked Crystal
"Well you see I put in the coins in this slot here and pull this lever here and then you try match three symbols up so you can get a reward."
"Doesn't that make this gambling?" Daz asked
"What how do you know that?"
Daz gestures to a sticker on the side of the machine
"Oh well I mean i'm old enough to travel around the country at fourteen or fifteen so why can't I do this?"
(Spongebob narrator voice "a few hours later")
"Yeeeah another triple 7 that makes twenty one thousand coins see Daz nothing went wrong other than the tens of thousands I spent on this...oh"
"Yeah oh." Daz condesendily said
"Well I'm going to go ask the lady at the reception where I can exchange all these coins."
I walked over to the desk with Daz carrying my large haul of coins.
"Um, excuse me do you know where I can exchange these coins?"
The lady's eyes turned into dinner plates when she turned her gaze onto Daz
"Y-yeah if you head out the door and go to the building next door you can exchange your coins there."
"Thank you"
The prize exchange building was just a simple building and rather plain looking the inside of the building took after the game corner in some aspects such as the same floor and wallpaper and a counter with some shelves behind it also behind the counter was a middle aged woman who wore a friendly smile.
On the counter was a prize list and how many coins you had to exchange for each prize.
"Hmmmm, I will take giga impact and the silk scarf" I told the lady and then I grabbed the sack full of coins from Daz, then I emptied it all over the counter. The woman just gave a huff of annoyance.
"You know that you could have gotten a coin case right?" The woman tells me
"Oh, really I don't know where I could of found one though, do I buy them from the game corner?" I asked
"No but I've heard about a man dressed as clown is handing them out, oh and here's your prizes."
(Crystal pov)
We were in a small clearing near the city Emilia told us that it would be better to learn the new move here but who she was going to teach it to was another question.
"All right Crystal come here!" Emilia shouted excitedly "You're going to learn giga impact!"
"EH, why me why not Daz or Barney or...or Grzmot?!" I questioned Emilia just waggles her finger at me and boops me on my nose and says " we can't let the boys have all the fun now can we and besides if you learn this move it will impress Daaaz~" Emilia says in a sing song voice, my face began to heat up.
"I-I-It's not like I like him or IDIOT!" I yell embarrassed at Emilia's implication.
"Well I don't think you're being honest with yourself self, but we're getting off track here."
"I'm going to press this against your head."
Emilia held up a disk
"What is that?"
"It's a it houses a pokemon move on this so pokemon can learn moves they wouldn't naturally learn but with in reason so say you can't teach an Ice type a fire type move I think?"
"So according to my pokedex… let me finish you have tackle and we're going to change it out for giga impact, now you can ask questions."
"How do you know what moves I have, and what is a pokedex?"
"Well, I had some modifications done to my pokedex so I can see wild pokemon's moves as for what it is think of it as a fancy encyclopaedia or basically a thing that stores information about pokemon, so without any more delays let's do this."
As I focused on the disk pressed on my forehead I began to feel knowledge of the move replace tackle, it started with a light tingling sensation that then vanished after a few moments.
"Nice Crystal you've learned how to use giga impact, Now let's try it out!" Yelled Emilia
"Grzmot front and center!"
The luxio made its appearance again.
"Alright Grzmot you're going to help Crystal with using giga impact."
"Alright but where are Daz and Barney?"
"I told them to walk around the clearing and come back in a bit so it's a surprise for them, oh also here Crystal put this scarf on."The scarf was very comfortable but now I was standing across from Grzmot.
"All right Crystal use giga impact!"
Although it was the first time I had used the move it already felt like a second nature to my body and mind I guess that's us pokemon for you. Energy formed around me as I barreled into Grzmot at blinding speed and a massive explosion that threw a large amount of dust and ground and left a deep trail in the ground, my entire body screamed out in protest as I tried to move.
"I-I can't move!"
"Don't worry that's perfectly normal after using this attack and wow you did a number on Grzmot nice work!" Emilia praises
"Oh, let me carry you until you can move again I think it's time we get going to the department store now where did those two go off to?" Emilia questions
Just as soon as she asked that question
"Are all of you okay we heard a loud explosion?" Daz asked worryingly
"Don't we're all okay nobody is to badly hurt just the few bumps and scrapes nothing serious." Emilia said reassuring Daz
"Now we waited long enough let's get on our way to the department store." Emilia told us
(Daz pov)
Inside the department store was a storm of activity with people and pokemon all going around buying many things from clothes, to food. All in this big building
"What we are looking for is on the fifth floor where they sell specialised pokemon goods such as TMs, Potions, pokeballs and nutrients for pokemon, come on we're taking the elevator."
The elevator was cramped and a weird arrangement of buttons on the side Emilia simply pressed the fifth on up. Then I floor lurched up and a mechanical wiring noise came the floor lurched again and the doors opened.
"This way Daz the stuff we need is over here, I think?" Said Emilia
She walked over to a shelf with some little containers on it (think pill bottles) "Hmm, Iron nope" Emilia said whilst sifting through the bottles
"Carbos no" moving the bottles to the side
"nope definitely not protein but I'll grab some for Grzmot, aha here it is calcium that's what we need to boost your stat Daz." Emilia said whilst grabbing some of the bottles and began walking up to the cashier on this floor.
"I would like to buy these vitamins"
The cashier nodded and scanned the items
"That will be 98,000"
Emilia sucked in a deep breath
"Ooo that's going to leave a dent in my wallet, but it is worth it." She reasoned with herself.
Emilia then proceeded to hand over the money and then put them away in her bag.
"So what are we going now? I asked.
"What we are going to do is go back to the pokemon center you eat those vitamins then we rest up for the night and challenge the gym tomorrow."
The walk back to the pokemon center was quiet most of the hustle and bustle of day time. Fading into the evening with only the few odd groups of trainers and pokemon walking around.
"So how do you feel about the gym battle tomorrow?" Crystal asked
"To be honest I think no matter how it goes I think we will come out on top!" Emilia shouted with confidence. Both me and barney agreed with her.

(Daz pov)
We were standing outside the gym. The building was a mix of traditional Japanese architecture with some modern touches with a roof painted scarlet red. The inside of the building was in the style of a traditional Japanese dojo, in the room was a young girl with pale skin and short pink hair.
She wore a sleeveless purple and black top with plain white pants. She also wore blue fingerless gloves on her hands and two bandages, one on her nose and the other on her left arm.
"Hello I'm pleased to meet you. I'm Maylene and I am the gym leader, I hope we have a good fight."
Maylene greeted Emilia.
(3rd person)
"Then I'll try my hardest to live up to your standards" Emilia replied with determination
Maylene simply gave a smile and drew her first pokeball
"Alright Meditite I choose you!"
"Let's win this Barney."
Barney slivered onto the field staring down the Meditite neither making a move suddenly...
"Meditite use drain punch!" Maylene ordered her pokemon The small pokemon shot towards Barney with a burst of speed and a glowing fist.
"Barney dodge it and counter with dragon rush!"
With mere millimeters the attack scraped Barneys scales. Then a strange dragon like apparition enveloped Barney and launched itself at the Meditite. Having been caught out of position with its missed attack, the small pokemon had no chance of getting out of the way. The attack slammed into the its small body throwing up dust everywhere obscuring everyone's vision, except Meditite.
"Meditite use confusion." Maylene yelled out.
Meditite's eyes glowed blue and Barney cries out in pain as his mind is overpowered by Meditite's confusion. The dust cleared and revealed a battered Meditite.
"Meditite are you still okay to fight?" Maylene asked in concern. The small pokemon gives a noise of confirmation.
"Alright let's use another drain punch!" Maylene shouts in confidence.
Yet again with a burst of speed the pokemon closed the distance between them within seconds "Barney dodge it!" Emilia yells but Barneys movements are sluggish and not fast enough to dodge the small nimble pokemon, the punch connects and the Meditite wounds seem to heal.
"Dammit, Barney use fire blast!" Emilia ordered.
The air in the room seemed to get thinner as the attack Barney was charging got larger and reached its apex. Barney let loose the scorching attack. The Meditites legs failed as the attack closed in on it.
"Meditite dodge it, don't just stand there!" Maylene cried out but it was a little too late for the pokemon. Another explosion occurred, smoke and dust was everywhere but as it cleared, it was obvious who was the victor.
"Meditite return, you did well." Maylene consoled her fainted pokemon.
"Barney switch out and get some rest nice work." Emilia praises.
"Grzmot let's bring some spark to this fight!" Emilia yelled.
"Machoke let's do our best!" Maylene shouted.
"Grzmot use thunder wave,"
Machoke had no time to react to the move and was completely paralyzed and unable to move.
"Grzmot use thunder fang," the lion pokemon closes the distance and nomed on the purple pokemons leg, Machoke could do nothing but take the hits.
"Machoke return!" Maylene called out "I seem to be in a bit of a bind but it's not over if I have anything to say about it!" Maylene cried out with determination.
"Lucario I'm counting on you!"
"So this is your last pokemon then?"
"You've done well to put me down to my last pokemon." Maylene said congratulating Emilia.
"Lucario use bone rush."
"Grzmot dodge it!"
The lucario was too fast for the Luxio to dodge, the attack slammed into Grzmot being super effective and putting him on the retreat.
"Lucario don't let him get away! Get him with another bone rush!" Ordered Maylene.
"Grzmot use thunder fang!" Emilia yelled.
Grzmot launched himself at the lucario and vored his arm, the lucario simply looked at the offending luxio on his arm and slams him into the floor knocking the wind out of Grzmot's lungs and finishes him off with a drain punch knocking Grzmot out.
"Grzmot return... you did your best."
"Alright Daz let's finish this fight!"'Emilia cried out with certainty.
"Heh, we won't go down so easily, right Lucario!?"
The aura pokemon growled in agreement.
"Alright Daz lets heat things up with flamethrower!"
A stream of fire left Daz's mouth and rushed towards Lucario. Lucario jumped to the side just barely avoiding being toasted to a perfect light crisp.
"Lucario use force palm!" Yelled Maylene
Lucario suddenly vanished and appeared in an instant behind Daz, "nothin' personal kid," and proceeded to slam his palm down onto Daz's back, creating a Daz shaped hole in the floor.
"Daz are you okay!?" Emilia and Crystal yell out in concern.
Daz pulled himself out of the hole but his back had a massive hand print on it, Crystal and Emilia tried to hold in their laughter but were failing miserably.
"Pfff-... hahaha, Daz use flamewheel!" Daz started running towards the Lucario and turned into a massive wheel of fire.
"Lucario dodge it!"
Lucario waited for the right moment then dodged.
"Finish em with drain punch!"
"Daz end this Flamewheel"
Both attacks moved towards each other at blinding speeds and both attacks met in the middle of the field. Resulting in a massive explosion with smoke blocking the view of both trainers. When the smoke cleared, both Daz and Lucario were knocked out and down for the count. Crystal and Emilia ran out onto the field straight to Daz, Emilia then picked up Daz.
(Queue Gym leader beaten music)
"I admit it I'm impressed that was a good fight. You and your pokemon deserve this badge, oh and a little something from me as well."
Maylene handed over the cobble badge and a . "That contains the move drain punch its a move that when it connects heals the pokemon using it."
"That was a close fight we should do this again in the future sometime?" Suggested Emilia.
Maylene let out a chuckle, "I would like that, I think the results would be different next time."
The groups trip back to the pokemon center was quiet. It was late evening when they gotten done celebrating their victory form the restaurant of Emilia's choice.
When Emilia walked into the groups room at the pokecenter they all quickly turned in for the night, except Emilia who decided now was a good time for a bath. Emilia was stewing things over in the bath looking back on the battle and all the mistakes she made, and how she probably could of dealt with it instead but that was then, this is now. She got out of the bath drying herself off, got changed, and made her way into bed and fell asleep.
