A family reunion

Humphreys POV:

I was being lead into the forest by my old childhood friend Decca who informed me of a chance to see my parents again. We had been walking for half an hour when Decca turned to me and said. "Humphrey we're about a two minutes away from the pack now and I feel that I should warn you that heat season has come early and once the single females get a look at you you're probably going to need to run as fast as you can before they get ahold of you." I chuckled at this and said. "Oh come on are they really that bad?" he turned to look at me raised his paw up and shook it up and down. I then leaned my head back and said "sheesh that is bad." He chuckled and said. "Oh trust it's way worse since most of our female wolves are single and had stamina training so they can run really fast and far without stopping to catch their breath." I gulped at this before we continued on our way.

When we reached our destination I saw it was a bunch of wolves sitting around either talking, playing or looking at Decca and me. I looked around and saw the females were staring at me with lust in their eyes. Some of the females even blew me kisses. Seeing what they wanted just made me try to get Decca to lead me to my parents' den faster and me walking next to him instead of behind him. We walked for another five minutes before we arrived at a cave in the side of a large hill. We went in to find two sleeping wolves that I recognized as my parents. My mom was thin with a bit of muscle that allowed her to be flexible and she had black fur while my father was quite muscular with grey fur. Seeing them I nearly began to tear up. Decca walked up to my father and gently nudged him and said. "Sir! Sir wake up!" He mumbled. "not now Decca I'm trying to sleep." He then said in a nervous voice. "But sir there's someone here who wants to speak to you." My dad grumbled again in a more annoyed tone. "Just tell them to wait a bit." Decca then said in a nervous voice, which confused me. "Forgive me sir." What he did next nearly made me laugh because in order to wake my dad up he stamped right on my dads tail. His eyes immediately shot open as he sat up and screamed. "Ouch" I saw him glare angrily at Decca before saying in an angry tone. "Decca you better have an excellent reason for doing that." I saw Decca begin to shrink under my fathers glare and it was causing him to be too scared to speak so he just pointed at me. Dad looked at me right in the eyes and gasped before asking in a shaky voice. "Humphrey! Son is that you?" I replied by saying. "Hey dad. Long time no see!" Then before I could even blink he had me wrapped up in a bone-crushing hug. As he hugged me I gasped. "Dad...Can't...breath." He then released me from the hug. He then quickly rushed over to my mother and shook her while saying. "Anna wake up." I heard her say. "What is it sweetheart?" Dad then said. "It's Humphrey he's back." I watched as she immediately sat up before looking around the cave. When her eyes landed on me I couldn't even let out a breath before she had me in a big hug with tears in her eyes. I hugged her back and said. "I missed you to mom." When she pulled away she said. "Why are you back we thought you hated us for pushing you so much." I then began to laugh and said. "You really think I would run away for that." They looked at me confused before I began to tell them what really happened and how I was raised in the western pack.

When I finally finished my parents had looks of shock on their faces but they quickly turned to looks of pure anger. Dad then growled. "I'm going to kill those wolves." I then took my knife out and began stroking a finger over the blade as I said. "Sorry dad but-" I then spun it around and stabbed it in the ground and finished. "I beat you to it." They all looked at me in shock before mom asked. "Are you sure it was them?" I began to retrieve my knife before I replied. "Yeah I recognized the head thug and met him when he was trying to kill my daughter Bella." They then got looks of shock again before them and Decca yelled. "YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER?" I replied. "Yeah I adopted her after I rescued her from those thugs and put the other pups I rescued up for adoption." My parents looked at me with pride before dad asked. "So when can we meet our granddaughter?" I replied by saying. "I'll bring her by sometime this afternoon. Does that sound good?" They both nodded before mom said. "We'll be waiting for you and we expect you to join us for dinner." I said. "I'll be there after all I'm never one to turn down a meal." We all laughed at this before I said. "Oh I just remembered I've got to go pick Bella up from a sleepover." They nodded and mom said. "Come back soon sweetie." I replied. "I will." I then left the den and began to walk but then burst in to a sprint because some of the females were beginning to approach me with lust in their eyes.

I arrived at Can-do's den as his daughter was a friend of Bella's and was the pup who she slept over with. When I came to the entrance Bella came out and hugged me and I hugged back while saying. "Hi sweetie. Did you have fun?" She nodded and said. "Yes daddy." I then looked up at Can-do and said. "Thanks for taking care of her last night." He replied. "No problem man." I then picked Bella and began to carry her back to my parents. Halfway there sadly we ran into Kate. She smiled at me and said. "Hey Humphrey." I was in a hurry so I put Bella down and said. "Hey Kate I can't talk right now so later." I forgot how persistent she is because as I picked Bella up she said. "Oh come on Humphrey can't you spear a minute?" I shook my head and began to go around her. She cut me off again and said in a slightly annoyed and hopeful voice. "Oh come on Humphrey all I want is to spend a little time with you so we can have fun like when we were pups. Remember all the fun times we had? What could be more important right now." I saw her quickly shut her mouth but it was too late as my blood was already boiling. I gently put Bella down and looked at Kate with pure anger in my eyes before I said. "There are a lot more important things to me right now like my daughters well being and the fact that I finally found my parents who want to meet Bella and you are only delaying it. Now I want you to listen and listen well. You've shown me that you're only being nice to me because you feel bad about what happened and I don't need you bothering me everyday just so you can feel better about yourself so if you ever come near me or my daughter then I will not hesitate to hurt you. NOW GET OUT OF MY WAY!" she stepped aside and I picked Bella up and continued on my way leaving a crying Kate behind but now I couldn't care less about her.

AN: Hey guys I know the chapter was a little short and Humphrey was a real jerk but don't worry things work out in the end. Also sadly I won't be able to write that much except on weekends since I'm now in college and have to focus mostly on my studies but I'm also working on my masterpiece but it still has a lot of work to be done so I've decided that one weekend I'll write updates and on the other I'll work on my masterpiece and some one-shots so until next time my friends.
