So this is the river chapter. I personally am a big River Doctor shipper. I know that there was supposed to be a scene on gaea but i just couldn't make it work, so instead i referenced it in this chapter. Thanks again for reading this. I already have the end planned out so this story is coming to a close soon. Only 3 more chapters. I would do more but i think that if I did, i would probably end up going on hiatus and then giving up on the story. so better to end it on the shorter side then leave you hanging.

Chapter 10 :This time he's not the good wizard.

"We can't save River Song. I've tried before. The best I could do was downloading her into the computer. And the worst part is that i didn't remember her when she died. And she died to save me!"

The Doctor continued to rant, tears threatening to spill, until Charlotte grabbed his shoulders and yelled "Be Quiet and Calm down! It will work. Want to know why? Because I am the one doing it!"

"How can you be sure?"

"Because I am smarter than you!"

"What!"

"Kidding," she said out loud, then mumbled, "so not kidding!"

"Why do you always say that you are smarter than me?" he asked, still upset about River.

"Because I am. Wanna know why?" He nodded, signaling that she could continue. "Remember what I said to you after the Dalek incident? Since I was 16 years old, I have watched the smartest man in the universe be amazing. I watched him learn and I learned with him, but I also learned on my own. People always say that you learn from your mistakes. Well not only have I learned from my own, but I've learned from yours as well. I fit things together like a puzzle, which you could never do, because you only have half of the pieces. So that is why I am smarter than you. Because even though I worked some stuff out on my own, I had the best teacher in the universe."

"Really?"

"Yes really, you would put even the observant Athena to shame," Charlotte said, "And now she knows I said that and she is going to kill me! But what I said is true"

"How do you know how to do this?"

" I have seen it before, when we were together on Gaea after the whole ordeal with the master. I know this is a paradox, but my friend lulu showed me what was happening. I didn't know what was going on, at the time I thought it was a prank, but I think river needed me to see what was happening so I could get her out."

"Alright then," the Doctor said cheering up, but at the same time showing paranoia, "What do you need?"

"Ok!" she was exited, "I need a TARDIS that is hooked up to a teleporter cuff, which we are currently stating in, two sonic screwdrivers -we each have one- an extension chord, a flash drive, a gold wire, sound canceling headphones and chocolate."

"Alright we have all of those," the Doctor responded, "but why do you need sound canceling headphones and Chocolate."

"The sound canceling headphones will keep you from blowing out an eardrum, because this will get loud," she answered, "And I am gonna need some sugar in my system if I plan on doing this."

"Uhh… OK"

"Oooo," charlotte said poking her head out of the TARDIS, "the basement of a giant library that used to be filled with 'shadows'. This isn't creepy at all!"

"Can you start?" he asked ignoring her previous statement, "I am freaking out a bit."

She patted his shoulder in a comforting gesture and said, "Sure, just hand me your sonic and put on the headphones." He took out his screwdriver and handed it to Charlotte before putting on the massive red headphones that she had taken from the inside of the TARDIS.

Immediately charlotte had set to work. She connected the extension chord and the gold wire to the flash drive and wired the whole contraption to the TARDIS. She followed everything that she had seen herself do in the image that her friend had shown her at her home.

When she was finished with all of the prep. Charlotte flipped a few keys on the consol in the library computer, before pointing the two sonic devices at each other. With a deep breath, she pressed the buttons on both of the screwdrivers.

The sound was awful. She was cringing and was barely able to handle it. The doctor was wincing at the sound too, even through the headphones. She only had to go on for 20 seconds, but at this rate it would be very difficult. She counted in her head until she hit 18…19…20. Then she released the buttons and dropped the sonic screwdrivers, waiting for a couple seconds.

Charlotte was sure she had done it when she heard a loud clatter and an 'oof' from inside of the TARDIS. She sprinted inside. Leaving the Doctor to look around the library basement.

The mass of curly hair was all she needed to see before saying, "Yes it worked!"

River looked up at her before asking, "Where am I and who are you?"

"Why river, you are in the TARDIS. And me, I am the doctor!"

"What?" river gaped.

"Just kidding I am the companion. My name is Charlie. I'll go get the doctor for you. You might want to take a seat," she said noticing the way that River was swaying on her feet. Charlotte guided river to the chair before running out side.

She walked up to the doctor and ripped his headphones off. "It worked. Now go get your girl."

The doctor's eyes widened before he ran into the TARDIS. When they made eye contact, it was electric. She surged foreword to meet him by the consol. "Hello Sweetie." She said with a smile.

"Hello River I have missed you so much," he had tears in his eyes, "and I just want to tell you that I love you." With that he leaned foreword and kissed her. She was shocked for a second before kissing him back.

Charlotte had cleaned up everything that she had used in the transmission and walked back into the TARDIS, to see The Doctor and River kissing and holding on to each other as if they would slip away if they let go. "Crying and kissing, I'll just go and get a book." she said walking out. However she knew that neither of them had heard a word that she had just said.

So river will be in the last three chapters in one way or another. so that will make her the first real character other than the doctor who is in more than one chapter. Only 3 left. I hope you like the end.
