Chapter ten- Missing Rose

Adrian, London, England

Adrian thought that it would have been a good idea to visit the hotel that Rose has been staying in for the past five days. He was starting to get worried about her, since the last phone call that he received from her. Other than that he had haven't heard anything from her, neither has her sister Jill. He didn't even know if she was still alive. He hoped that nothing bad has happened to her. Even though she was with another guy instead of him, he would never have broken her heart like Dimitri did two weeks ago.

As Adrian stood outside of the hotel, where Rose was staying, was like any modern hotel building that you would find anywhere. The walls were brown and the steps are concrete. There were flowers in front of the hotel, some he knew their names, and there were others that he did know their names. The only reason why he knew their names was from his aunt's garden that he always played in when he was a young child. That was one of his happiest memories that he had of her before she was killed in a Strigoi attack. He frowned as his thoughts went towards his dead aunt. He didn't want to be thinking about her was he was trying to find his beloved Rose.

He sighed, before he went into the building. The interior was better than the outside. Splashes of color lined the wall with some paintings. Benches and couches were in little cozy areas for the travelers to sit down and relax. A little coffee stand was to his right, but he just kept walking until he got towards the information desk.

Sitting behind the desk was a female human in her late twenties. She had red hair and bright blue eyes. Adrian noticed that the woman had a ring on her finger. She was typing away at her computer as he stood in front of her. He cleared his throat, getting the woman's attention.

"Hi," she said, shyly, as she blushed under his stare. She composed herself after a moment, and asked him, "How can I help you?"

"I'm looking for my girlfriend's room. She checked in here about six or seven days ago," said Adrian, using a little bit of compulsion on the human.

She blinked once and a smile rose on her face. "What's her name? I know this is breaking the rules, but a guy like you needs to make sure his girlfriend is safe."

"Rose Hathaway," said Adrian, as he put his hands inside of his pockets.

The woman, whose name was Halite, as on her name tag; started typing something into the computer network system, she bit her lip, before she looked up at the handsome guy who was staring at her. "I'm afraid that there isn't anyone staying at the hotel by that name. There was a female that booked the room, but she never showed up."

"Thank you," said Adrian, as he had a frown on his face. He looked into her eyes, before compelling her, "I was never here. You won't remember me."

The woman's eyes glazed over. She shook her head, as her eyes landed on Adrian. She blinked once and noticed that he started walking towards the door.

Adrian sighed as he walked out of the hotel room. He didn't think that Rose wasn't going to be staying at a different hotel. He pulled out his cell phone from his pocket, and dial Jill's number. She answered on the second ring.

"Adrian," said Jill, as she breathed into the phone. "I was hoping that you would call me soon. Did you find my sister? Is Rose alright? Is she hurt?"

"Jill," said Adrian, sounding annoyed. He was happy to hear her voice, but he wasn't happy that she just jumped to those questions that he didn't want to answer just yet. He knew that she was worrying for her sister, so he just went with it. "No, I didn't find her yet. I thought that she might be staying at this hotel that she made a reservation at. She wasn't there. She didn't even check in."

"Oh," said Jill, sounding disappointed. "I thought that she would at least be there. Anyway, my mom just found out about Rose leaving the academy, and she's pissed that she didn't even get a notification saying that she left."

"Is your mother at the academy?" Adrian asked her.

"Yes," said Jill. "Were walking over to the headmistress office. I also found out that her soon to be ex-husband isn't my father, but Eric Dragomir is."

"Eric is your father?" Adrian asked shocked.

"Yes," said Jill, with a humorless chuckle. "Apparently, she slept with him, and got pregnant with me."

"Does Lissa know that you're her half sister?" asked Adrian, as he lit his cigarette.

"No," said Jill. "I'll half to call you later were going into the Headmistress office now."

"By," he told her.

"By," she said as she hung up the phone.

Wow, Adrian thought to himself. Thing we going to get a little bit more interesting. He wanted to know how this was going to work. Would Jill still be on Roses' side or would she want to be on Lissa's side since she is a Moroi? Adrian shook his head as he started walking away from the hotel.

Jill Hathaway, Headmistress office

Jill was standing next to her mother as they both walked into the headmistress office. Jill was still in shock about finding out her father was Eric Dragomir. She wondered if she was ever going to tell Lissa or Rose. She hoped when either of them discovers the truth that they're not going to start a fight over her.

The headmistress office was the same everything that she had been in here. There were pictures of ever Royal Moroi that died throughout the ages. Many of them were lazy and did nothing for the Moroi community and there were some that did a lot for the community.

"Jill, shouldn't you be in class?" asked the headmistress, as Jill sat down next to her mother.

"I told her not to go," said Jill's mom. "I think she needs to be in this room with me. There is something important that we need to talk about."

"Alright," said the headmistress. "Is this about Jill hitting princess Vasilisa in the nose?"

"No," said Janine, as she glared that the headmistress. "This has something to do with my fist born daughter, Rose."

"Rose," spat the headmistress in disgust. "Why do you want to talk about Rose for? She is doing well in all her classes. She hasn't stepped a foot out of line in a week."

"That's because she hasn't even been in school for the past week," said Janine, sarcastically.

The headmistress raised her eyebrows. "We have her attendance for all her classes." Her eyes widen a bit as she typed something down on her laptop. She quickly texted someone on her phone. She turned towards us, "Can you excuse me for one moment?"

The headmistress got up from her chair and walked over to her door. She opened the door and Alberta was standing there with a sheet of paper in her hands. They noticed that Jill was watching them, so Alberta closed the door.

Jill sighed as she knew she couldn't over hear their conversation. She wanted to know if they knew what had happened to Rose. Ten minutes have passed, and the headmistress and Alberta, walked back into the room. They both walked over to my mother with grim faces.

"It appears that you were right, Miss. Hathaway," said the headmistress. "Rose hasn't been attending the academy for a week. We believe that she left the academy, again."
