Chapter seven: Rewinding town
~Recap: After Lena lee explained, Allen and Jade looked at each other and knowing what each other was thinking then looked at everyone. "Well then..." "We should get the party started." Everyone smiled, including Allen and Jade, and started the welcoming party with laughter and fun that lasted to two o' clock in morning. : End of Recap~
Jade, Allen, Toma and Lena lee were standing in front of a town that Komui assign them a few days ago. Their mission was to investigate the town, that was nickname 'Rewinding Town' mission from Komui. Because from what a beer provider salesman said; for a month, he been getting calls by one of his customers from the town on the same time everyday and as he got close to the town's front gate, he couldn't get in at all. "So this the 'Rewinding' town that supposedly no one can get in?" Lena lee said out loud as she looked at the front gate of the town.
"I wonder if I..." Allen said only as he went though the gate. "Allen!" Lena lee and Jade yelled as they went through the gate and left a bewildered Toma behind. "What just happen?" After going through the gate; Allen, Lena lee, and Jade saw the town's people doing their usual routine and not suspecting anything unusual going around. "No one suspects a thing at all." Jade said as Allen and Lena lee try to see if they could get out but no luck. "Let's find some information and the innocence." Lena lee said as she look at Allen and Jade, who both replied back with a nod.
~Scene Switch~
"Its happening again... Please make it stop."
An 25-year-old German woman said nervously as she was in a corner, while being curled up into a ball also rocking herself back and forth. The German woman name was Miranda Lotto. She heard the next door neighbors fighting over the same thing again, then look at her grandfather clock and headed out the door for work. She always had a case of bad luck ever since she was a kid, including getting fired a lot from her jobs. While walking through the town, Miranda hearing a group of little boys singing a sing about her on how she has bad luck and other things. Then one of little boys had a stick with dog poop on it and decided to throw it at Miranda. But Miranda ended up dodging it and that surprise the boys.
"She dodged it!"
"Let's get out of here!"
After the group of boys left, Miranda got to her current job but then ended up getting fired and now has no job. Miranda was sulking and walking back to her house. On her way home, she wish something different would happen instead of the same thing over and over again. Suddenly some Akumas surrounded Miranda and one of the Akumas started to talk.
"Well look who we have here...it's a human, what should we do with her?"
"Let's kill her."
"Yes, kill her!"
Miranda panic as the Akumas came closer to her and about to attack when a giant arm attack the Akumas. She notice the giant arm belong to a young man with white hair, blueish-grey eyes, and a strange scar that's on left side of his face. She watch how the young man destroyed the Akumas within a few minutes. Miranda didn't notice the young man being very close to her.
"Miss, are you alright?"
"Huh? aaaaaaaaah!"
"Wait, miss! and she's gone... better find Lenelee and Jade."
Allen watched as the woman, he saved from Akumas, as she ran away while screaming. But he didn't know that Miranda followed him as he went to go find Lenalee and Jade. On top of a random house, a girl with blue spikey hair watch Miranda following Allen and smiled while playing with a umbrella.
"It's going to be fun now. Since I have new toys to play with."
"Road-sama, Lero Lero~"
~Time Skip: the next day~
Lenalee, Allen, and Jade found out that Miranda's clock holds an Innocence and that Miranda is the clock's accommodator. Allen and Jade got jobs alongside Miranda advertising at a theater. Allen, Lenalee, and Jade had hypothesized that the clock would turn things back to normal if Miranda had something in her life to be positive about so that she wouldn't dread time moving forward. Things seem to be going well until Allen takes a break to talk to Lenalee, during which Miranda has the money for the theater tickets she has been gathering stolen. While Lenalee and Allen take off after the thief, the director of the theater calls Miranda useless. Jade didn't like what the theater director said to Miranda and flip him off after he left. Jade turns around and sees Miranda about to cry while trying to calm her down.
Miranda begins to cry and curse herself, openly questioning why her clock had to be the Innocence. Road Kamelot, who has been in the town searching for the Innocence, overhears Miranda and Jade while taking advantage of Allen and Lenalee's absence. Road captures Miranda, seizes Miranda's clock from her apartment, and Jade while leaving a note that reads "F*** you, Exorcists" written on the wall where the clock had been in Jade's and Miranda's blood.
~Time Skip: a few hours later~
Allen, Jade, and Lenalee battled against the three Akumas that attack them before, while Road watch them in a distance on Lero. Miranda was inside her activated innocence to protect herself also to heal/ reverse time for Allen, Jade, and Lenalee. Road decided that it was time to leave then summon up a heart shape door. Before she left, Road spoke while looking at Allen and the others.
"This isn't the last time you see me. Better watch out exorcists~~"
After Road left, her illusions dropped and they were back at Miranda's apartment. Miranda still had her innocence activated and didn't want to deactivated it because Allen's, Jade's, and Lenalee's wounds would come back. Allen, Lenalee, and Jade notice this and spoke to her.
"Miranda...please deactivate your innocence."
"But your wounds will come back..."
"We'll be fine, Miranda."
"Please Miranda..."
Miranda deactivated her innocence and ran out of her apartment, while screaming, then the town's gate to find help for Allen, Jade, and Lenalee. That's how Miranda found Toma and got him to help Allen and the others.
