Upon the Great Victoria

Chapter 9

Disclaimer: I do not own Hetalia

Haha! I bet a lot of you thought you would never see me again. Well you were wrong. Here I am, updating. What now?! Bam! Please enjoy!

Several weeks had passed since Amelia told Alfred she was leaving again. Nothing had changed except that Alfred seemed to always look like something was on his mind. Today had been unusually slow and there were only two customers at the moment.

Amelia's spirits were instantly lifted when Lawrence walked through the door. He raised an eyebrow as he sat at the bar.

"And why are you grinning like a madwoman?" he asked as he took a sip of his drink that Amelia had fixed as soon as she saw him.

"Because I have a ship" she stated proudly.

He looked up at her with mild shock. "Really? You've got a ship already? And it's not some piece of crap that got pawned off on you?"

She shook her head. "No, it's a nice ship, maybe not as fancy as what you are used to but it's a ship and it's all in one piece."

He nodded and thought for a moment. "Alright, give me one week and I'll have your crew ready for you. But first, I wanna see this ship."

Amelia nodded. "Alright. Come on." She went around the bar and grabbed his hand. "Alfred, you're in charge" she shouted as she dragged Lawrence out the door and down to the docks. She headed all the way down to the end before she stopped in front of a medium sized ship.

"Welcome to the Scrutans" she said proudly. Lawrence nodded in approval. "Alright, I'll get a crew ready."

"Then I'll meet you here at dawn in one week." Amelia grinned and shook his hand.

The week passed quickly for Amelia. She felt like she couldn't get everything done in time but at the same time she felt like she didn't have enough to do.

Amelia was wiping down the bar for the last time before Alfred became the owner of the tavern. Alice came over and hugged Amelia tightly. "Even though you were sort of annoying at first and I didn't think you acted like an adult all the time I'm still going to miss you."

Amelia chuckled and hugged her back. "It's not like I'm never coming back, I just won't be here all the time."

Alice nodded and went back to cleaning, she wasn't one for dragging out goodbyes. Once Alice headed home and it was just Alfred and Amelia left to lock up. They walked the all too familiar path to their house.

When they were inside Amelia began heading upstairs. "I'm going to go ahead and go get ready since I have to leave in a few hours."

Alfred nodded and went to the kitchen to get a snack. He planned to stay up to walk down to the dock with her.

Soon, too soon for Alfred, the sun began to peek above the horizon. Alfred went and knocked on Amelia's door. "It's time to go."

Amelia opened the door and Alfred stepped back so she could get out. Amelia's hair was cut to look like Alfred's except for the piece that refused to stay down near Alfred's bangs. Her chest was bound and she was wearing men's clothing that actually fit her this time.

Alfred sighed. "I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing you like this."

Amelia smiled. "You'll just have to get used to it, this is who I am now. Don't you like the look of Andrew Jones?" she asked with a smirk.

Alfred rolled his eyes but smiled. "I like Amelia Jones better."

Amelia shouldered her small bag filled with a few belongings and article of clothing. She gave Alfred a small smile before they left the house.

A ways away from the dock Alfred hugged her one last time before Amelia headed down the main path to the docks while Alfred took a side road so he could keep an eye on her.

Amelia boarded her ship and waited in her captain's quarters for the men to begin trickling aboard. When everyone was aboard Lawrence stood by the door and waited on her to come out.

Amelia began to become nervous and had almost begun to hyperventilate. Her binding felt too tight, the walls were too small and they were getting closer and closer. She clutched her shirt, she couldn't breathe.

Lawrence knocked on the door and brought her out of her trance. "You coming out or not?" he barked.

Amelia stared at the door. She bit her bottom lip. It was now or never. She took a deep breath and went to meet her new crew.

And that is where I shall leave you for now. Hopefully it won't take me as long to update again, but at least I did update so just be grateful. (Just kidding, I know I'm terrible about this stuff.)
