Chapter 10

WARNING-Spoilers to the people who don't read the manga, heh I should have said it ages ago but oh well.

"Gai-sensei?!"

"K-Kakashi-sensei!"

The two figures which dropped from the sky was, unsurprisingly, Kakashi and Gai. Knowing them, they were most definitely doing one of their crazy challenges, however, that still doesn't explain why they were up in the air anyway.

The two eternal rivals picked themselves off from the ground, looking sheepish.

"Yosh! TenTen, are you training with your youthful friends?" Gai asked, giving my 'newly' made friend his good-guy pose. TenTen ignored his question as she looked at Gai and Kakashi with an incredulous look on her face. I cleared my throat before turning to give Kakashi an amused look.

"Sensei? Care to explain?"

"A-ah well you see. . . ummm." He trailed off, scratching the back of his head. Before Kakashi could carry on, two black, bushy, rectangle shaped patch of hair obscured my view.

"Holy- what the hell?!" I yelled and jumped back almost immediately away from the black bushy things and saw that the source was in fact, Gai-sensei's eyebrows. I held my hand to my chest, and tried to calm down my fast beating heart.

TenTen's sensei looked as lively as ever, his hair was perfectly shaped and rounded and his skin was smooth, unlike what it would have been like in the future. After his fight with Madara, his skin had burnt away. The damage was severe, however with Naruto's new found powers, he managed to, well, make a new layer of skin, in a way. However his skin was never the same again.

"Aha! You must be one of Kakashi's student!" Gai boomed, giving me a blinding smile. Wow! Kakashi actually talks about us!

"He told me one of you had weird girly pink hair!"

Damn son of a bitch.

"Did he now?" I smiled and looked behind him to give Kakashi a sugar sweet smile. He gave me a hesitant wave and chuckle, scratching the back of his head.

"Yes he did!" Gai chirped. "So, how's your taijutsu?"

That was unexpected. I turned my attention back to him and blinked.

"Taijutsu?"

"Sakura is not bad at taijutsu." Kakashi answered for me, not moving from his place. "She's pretty good for a genin."

"Eh?! Really? Well since Kakashi thinks you're good then I want to see for myself!" Gai winked and his eyes twinkled with what I presume was to be excitement.

My eyes widened at this. I knew what he really meant.

"Whoa, wait, you want me to spar with you?! But, I'm only a genin and-" Before I could think of a reason for us not spar, I felt something drop on top of my head, ruffling my hair and messing it up. I tried to look up to see who it was but all I could see were my pink bangs.

"Come on Sakura, be a bit more confident in yourself." I heard a lazy, yet familiar voice drawl out. Ugh, Kakashi-sensei. He's gonna be the death of me. Literally.

"Come, youthful one! Lets go!" Gai's booming voice butted in.

The weight on top of my head lifted. Blinking, I looked around my surroundings. Gai stood across from me with a beaming smile on his face and to my right, Kakashi, Ino and TenTen sat on the wooden stumps.

"Go Forehead! Make sure you don't die!" Ino cheered. Well that was reassuring. I gave her a sarcastic smile, sent Kakashi (who was reading his book again) a glare, which he ignored completely before facing my opponent.

"Question, is this strictly taijutsu and can we use weapons?" I asked Gai.

"Let's see, we can only use taijutsu, no ninjutsu or genjutsu and yes, weapons are allowed." Gai answered. "Ready?"

"Kinda." Right, so I have to remember not to go all out, just relax and don't put any effort into my actions. Seems simple.

I felt K and T in the palms of my hand after inwardly calling for them. My hands immediately twirled them around, a habit I suppose. Wanting to get this over with, I started off the spar. I hurled my sai's at the green beast, already knowing he would deflect it. It was a bad idea doing that. Aaah who cares.

He dashed towards me with amazing speed, arriving not even a second later, launching a kick aimed for my head. Ducking my head slightly to dodge it, Gai gave me no time to ready myself as he sent me a back kick. In an instant, my arms were in front of me, blocking the kick, however the impact made my body to skid backwards; instead of hitting the ground, I threw my upper body back to do a few back handsprings and landed on my feet.

Gai was quickly onto me. He sent punch after punch, his fists a blur. Dammit Gai-sensei have you no mercy?! A powerful kick sent me flying back, the pain in my chest told me that a large bruise would surface. I skidded to a halt, my knees slightly bent, and my arms in front of my face and my hands clenched into fists, ready for any other attacks thrown my way.

I studied the Jonin in front of me. He had his usual smile plastered on his face, and his eyes had an odd sparkle in them. He did not seem the least bit tired, which i'm not surprise about.

I gave a frustrated sigh. It's not that I don't want to fight the man in front of me because I'm a wimp or something, it's just that I know my body won't be able to take in all these movements I'm doing and I could easily pull a muscle.

Actually, you know what? Fuck it, I'm a medic, I could just heal my injuries when I get home.

Calling for K and T, I propelled myself forward, and once they were in my hands, I swung T across Gai's abdomen, but since he jumped back, I missed but by only mere millimetres. Quickly afterwards, I sent a spinning roundhouse kick, unconsciously channeling a tiny bit of chakra down my leg for more damage. My leg made impact with Gai's right arm and I felt part of his bone shatter, if only slightly. He held my leg in place with his left arm so I couldn't move and before I could react, he did something which surprised me.

He chuckled.

Why and what was he laughing about?

Gai began to full out laugh while still holding onto my ankle. Talking about ankles, my leg was still stretched out straight and high, I might actually pull a muscle if Gai doesn't let go.

"Hey, Kakashi, it seems like you have acquired an excellent student from the academy, huh?" Said Gai, casting Kakashi a look. He swiveled his eyes back at me and gave a grin. "You're quite the vicious one, aren't you?"

Did he not notice how I was hopping around, trying to free my leg?! Here he was, holding onto my ankle like it was a totally normal thing to do and saying how vicious I was! I glared at him before speaking.

"Let go." Oh damn it, it sounded so whiny.

"Gai, let go of my student." Kakashi said, walking over to us with his hands in his pockets. Ino and TenTen trailed after him with an impressed look on their faces.

Gai released my ankle and my leg dropped down in an instant. I dropped down onto my backside and began rubbing my leg, trying to get the feeling of pins and needles out.

"Kakashi, why did you not tell me that your student was so talented? Where are your other students? I need to fight them too!"

". . . Did you say something?"

And so the two eternal rivals began to bicker over something pretty pointless.

Gai was anyway.

I swear Kakashi didn't use to be this, I don't know, comfortable around people; have we changed that much of the past already? Kakashi was always calm amd collected but the Kakashi in front of me was different. Even just by a little, he was still different.

The soft footsteps coming towards me made me look up as I carried on rubbing my pale leg. Ino was walking towards me with a slight frown on her face. Behind her, TenTen was entertaining herself by watching the Jonins' one-sided argument.

"Forehead, where did you learn to do all those moves?" Ino asked, looking down at me. "Did you do some extra training or something?"

"U-um yeah, I guess." I stuttered. Wow I'm such a bad liar. "I started to do more training after graduation, I don't want be behind or anything."

"Oh. . . We'll I guess I should do more training too. . ." Ino said, looking away. She looked upset, did she think she was not good enough?

"Don't you get trained by your dad? Like learning those mind techniques?" I questioned her with my eyes narrowed.

"Yeah but. . . I seem to be really behind compared to you." Ino mumbled, avoiding eye contact. I sighed and pushed myself up from the floor, dusting myself.

"If that's what you think then just do your best in training." I told her. "And I know that the Yamanaka mind techniques can be pretty powerful, and your dad's the clan leader, you would most definitely become strong, Ino."

I stepped around her without a second glance, And walked towards the bickering pair.

"Ne, Sensei, do we have training tomorrow?"

The pair stopped and turned their attention towards me. Gai looking interested and Kakashi looking thoughtful.

"No, go and rest for a day, we will train the day after." said Kakashi.

"Oka-"

"Team Gai would join you!"

We turned and gave Gai an odd look.

"Excuse me?"

"Two days from now, Team Gai and Team Kakashi would go training together, okay? Good! I'll see you all later!" With that, he proofed away.

"W-what the hell just happened?" I murmured, staring at the place the green beast were just moments ago.

"Well Sakura, it seems that Gai invited himself and his team to our training session."

Two days later, I found myself standing in the training grounds with Team Seven and Team Gai.

Next to me, Lee and Naruto were having a competition of who is the most flexible; on my other side, Sasuke and Neji were having a glaring competition and standing in front of me, was TenTen, studying my two sai's in interest.

"Yosh! Let's do some warm ups! Go and run four laps around Konoha!" Said Gai in his loud voice.

We all groaned. Except Lee. No, he fucking cheered. Of course he did. That kid is crazy.

I gave Kakashi what was supposed to be a pleading look, my eyes big and my lips formed into a small pout.

He looked away.

Fuck.

TenTen handed me my sai's and I slipped them into my waist holster, one on my left and the other on my right. TenTen gave me it that morning since she saw me using it during our spar and noticed I had nowhere to put them. It was so sweet of her.

After that, I quickly unstrapped the holster and dropped it next to the wooden stump. It'll just get in the way.

And so we ran. The boys sped ahead of TenTen and I, leaving dust clouds as they ran.

"They're so competitive, everything they do turns into a competition." I said, sighing.

We both jogged at a steady pace, neither going fast nor slow. We jogged in silence, enjoying each others presence. After five minutes, we picked up our pace. We ran past training grounds and buildings, the civilians didn't even bat an eye at us when we ran pass them. It was a common occurrence to see ninjas running through the streets.

Not even fifteen minutes into the run, the four boys sped past us again, breathing heavily With the exception of Lee and Naruto; their stamina were incredible, especially for a twelve and thirteen year old.

TenTen and I carried on with at our own pace, sometimes we would run and other times we would slow down into a jog.

After we finished our laps with the boys running past us three more times (they were pretty slow on their last lap) we jogged towards our teams breathing heavily and sweating. Three of the four boys were sprawled on the grass, their chests rising and falling, their faces sweaty.

Naruto, on the other hand, was sitting on a stump, looking quite happy with himself and didn't look as tired as the rest of us. Damn his stupid stamina. Below him, Kakashi was sat reading his book and next to him, Gai was doing press ups. If you could call it that.

I dropped down next to Kakashi, using my hand as a fan to cool myself down while TenTen flopped onto the grass and spread her arms out.

"Ne Neji, aren't you hot wearing that shirt?" TenTen mumbled out.

Neji sat up and frowned.

Then he stripped.

Wait.

Holy mother of Naruto, damn he was fine.

I gaped at him, his abs, oh my god, don't even start on his abs, they're absolutely gor-

Oh kami, I just did something that I told myself a long time ago that I wouldn't do.

I fangirled.

Immediately, I adverted my eyes and went to look at something less distracting. I saw TenTen turn to look at her fine-ass teammate before quickly looking away, blushing. I can't blame her, anyone would if they saw a bo- STOP Sakura! No fangirling!

I felt a blush rising up to my face. Fuck Neji and his abs.

In my lifetime, I have seen many shirtless men, since I'm a medic, so why was I blushing now? Must be my Genin body. Yes, it must be.

Third person PoV

Nobody missed the blush forming on both Sakura's and TenTen's faces. Except Naruto, he doesn't notice anything. Or Gai, since he was still doing his push ups.

Neji smirked a lil' smirk. His lil' smirk widened when he an idea popped inside his head. He dropped his smirk and stood up and dropped his shirt to the ground. He slowly, and casually untied his hitai-ate, his seal showing and also dropping it to the ground.

The Hyuga's actions caught everyone's attention. Especially Sakura's. He released his hair from the hair tie and let his hair flutter in the light breeze. He dragged his hand through his hair agonisingly slowly.

TenTen had turned onto her front, so no one could see her red face, however, Sakura had no where to go. Her face was now beet red and she swore she was going to have a nose bleed if she didn't stop gawking.

Next to her Kakashi could literally feel the heat radiating off from his cute little student. He smirked under his mask and carried on reading, with one thought in mind.

'Girls.'

Lee and Sasuke frowned at the Hyuga. They knew what he was doing and they did not like it at all. Lee wanted to show Sakura his abs, he wants to show how manly he was but since he was wearing a spandex, he could not do so.

Sasuke, however, was a different matter Because he had a normal shirt on. He did not like the fact that the Hyuga was showing off his manliness. Well, if you could call it that, his body was far better than the white-eyed bastards'. The fact that Sakura was blushing furiously made him even more pissed so he did something very unlike him.

He took his top off.

Lets see who was manlier now.

Naruto was genuinely confused as to why the two boys took their top off. Maybe they were hot? Must be. Now that he though about it, he himself was pretty hot as well, especially wearing that orange jacket of his.

And thus, he jumped down from the stump and stripped.

Sakura's PoV

That was the last straw.

I grabbed my waist holster, grabbed TenTen's arm and fricking legged it.

"Sakura-chan!" I heard Naruto's voice call after us. "Where are you two going?!"

"U-um, we forgot we had to do something!" I shouted in response."We'll see you guys later!"

We ran and ran and ran. I did anyway. TenTen just stumbled after me. Speaking of TenTen. . .

"That was all your fault!" I accused her, skidding to a stop.

"H-hey! I didn't know it would be like a domino affect! I was I supposed to know they would all start stripping!" Cried TenTen, defending herself.

"Ugh." I groaned. "I wouldn't be able to look at them without going red now."

"But you've got to admit. . . they have some-"

"Nice abs." We said, finishing at the same time.

They do have nice abs, not trying to be a pervert or anything but even though I wouldn't look at them the same again, it was well worth it.

Who's watching the world cup? I knew England was going to lose against Italy (sorry England fans!), I totally saw it coming.
