"I really can't handle this, Alice." Jasper whispered in my ear. I understood, of course. With all these people in here…

I took Jaspers hand and dragged him out, careful not to walk too fast. It was smart to not let them know anything about vampires, or frigthen them even more. I was pretty sure they where terrified, and I knew Jasper felt it.

"Alice?" I turned around. "Where are you going?" Bellas confused face met mine and I tried to calm her down.

"Bella, we're coming back. Dont worry." I could see I didn't convince her. I was just hoping Edward could.

Tell her that Jasper just needs to hunt.

Edward nodded and I dragged Jasper with me once again, but stopped when I heard the sound of a gun loading. I knew exactly how much damage that bullet would do to me, absolutely nothing. But the people didn't know and I could see that one started to shake, and another one's hand flew up to her mouth.

"Where are you going?" The man with the gun asked. I could tell he was the leader of this small group of people, no one would stop him. And he was actually going to pull that trigger.

"It's okay." Edward said and raised his hands towards the man, Jeb was his name. Some of the people got dazzled by hearing Edward talk, I guess his voice really was something special.

But Jeb didn't look at Edward, his gun, and attention, was pointed at me and Jasper. This man was crazy, but he only cared about protecting his colony.

He repeated his question, but Jasper and I turned around, and in the next second I hear a girl scream and the sound of Jeb pulling that trigger, shooting a bullet at Jaspers direction.

I reach out for the bullet, sending it towards the ceiling. A bit of the mountain roof fell off and Jasper and I got all dusty.

I sighed, and when all the people gasped, I shot a bored look at Edward and dragged Jasper out of there.

BellasPov

Everything happened so fast, that I didn't even got time to react. I looked at Edward, who got a look from Alice, and in the next second, she and Jasper where gone.

I got shocked, even though I knew that bullet wouldn't hurt either Jasper or Alice. I got shocked that the old man actually shot. On the other hand, I could understand that he was so eager to protect this little colony of his.

Edward stepped forward against the man with his hands raised again. "We are not seekers, and we are not your enemies, can you understand that?"

I could see that the man was furious and he also had a slightly tone of madness in his eyes. Should we really be standing here and make him even more frustrated by not giving him a proper explanation?

Edward kept going. "We are also not exactly like you, it's very complicated, and I understand that you don't trust us right now, but let them go. They will do you no harm."

"Jeb?" One girl behind him stepped forward. "Can I please ask you to lower your gun?" That was the very same girl that had jumped on him earlier. He looked angry, but calmed down and lowered his gun.

The girl started to speak. "My name is Wanda, and as I you can see, I am a soul. But this is my family and I just want you to know that I compose no threat against you. We are just all curious about you and we would be pleased if you told us about you." She was so small and innocent. She was also a soul.

Edward smiled. "Our history is very complicated, as I said, but I reckon a few, or at least all you, have heard of vampires?"

I looked at Edward shocked. What was he doing?! He couldn't tell them?! Or did it even matter by now?

A few looked at him shocked and others with an insecure smile. A few maybe actually believed him, but others might think he joked. The soul, who had introduced herself as Wanda, got big eyes and she stared at all of our family members while she was trying to figure something out. I watched her carefully, trying to read her face expressions.

Someone started to laugh and my attention turned to a older woman in her 40-50s?

"Are you really trying to fool us that you are vampires? Such things doesn't exist! You are lying..."

"Magnolia." Jeb said cautious. He nodded against Edward, encouraging him to continue.

"Yes as I said.." Edward continued. "...Vampires. I can see in some of your doubtful faces that you think I am lying, and I don't blame you. We have been very good at hiding from you people all these years. All the myths? Legends? Not all are true. No, we don't burn up in sunlight. Yes, we drink blood. No, we don't sleep. Yes, we are immortal."

It took me a while to understand that he was answering questions in their heads. That only made them look more frightened. I rolled my eyes. By the look of Edward, I could tell he really enjoyed this. Before he could continue I shook my head and stopped him.

"My name is Bella, and I am not a vampire. I can believe it's hard for you to understand this but it's true. They don't drink human blood, thank god for that. But we heard about you from far away, there are still other people that exists." I hesitated. Still suspicious of that soul they had amongst them. "We are travelling from colony to colony. In this time of ours, there will be no secrets. These souls are threatening our planet, our home. We can stop them, but we will need help of course."

A lot of confused faces looked at each other. I shot a glance at Edward. He just smiled, and seemed unconcerned about everything happening around us. He looked at me like I was the only one in the world. I still waited for the day he would change me, but months had passed and nothing had happened yet. I was feeling just as weak and human as usually.

Jeb looked at us carefully. "Tell us everything, and convince us."

Well, it was really hard writing, since it was three years ago since last time... But if enough people think I should continue, I will. But then review and tell me please!
