Chapter 10: Katie gets released
In Kendall's Hospital Room
Logan's P.O.V.
Kendall was asleep. The doctor had just left after giving him some pain medicine. Carlos was watching cartoons. I was texting James and Camille. Camille was freaking out because she saw what happened on the news. James was keeping me updated on Katie. Carlos' phone starts to ring.
Carlos's P.O.V.
Papi was calling me. I was so excited because I love talking to him.
Phone Conversation No one's P.O.V
C: Hey Papi!
A: Hey Carlos!
C: What's up?
A: Nothing really your Mami, Mami D, and Mami K all wanted to know what happened at the concert.
C: Well, we were all getting ready to do our final exit. Katie went first and got hit in the chest with a blast of pyro, then Kendall jumped on the trampoline after her and fell and landed on his wrist, James went next and he went to land his backflip and landed on his leg wrong, Logan went and did a backflip and miss timed it and fell on his wrist, and then I went a jumped and landed.
A: How is everyone doing?
C: Kendall is sleeping right now. They are going to keep him for a couple of days since they had to replace the pin. Logan is reading one of his medical textbooks right now. James is with Katie. Katie is asleep right now but she should be released tomorrow. I think that they are going to give us a couple of days off from the tour so that we can figure out how what we are going to do.
A: Okay as long as you all are safe. I have to go. I talk to you soon okay?
C: Okay! I love you!
A: Love you too! Bye!
End phone conversation
Logan's P.O.V.
Carlos got off the phone with Papi a little while ago. Apparently the story was on the news back home in Minnesota. They wanted to know what had happened. The doctor came in a said that Kendall would have to stay for three days so that they could make sure everything was okay. James said that Katie is still in a lot of pain but she should be fine.
In Katie's Hospital room
James P.O.V
I woke up this morning to Katie sleeping on my chest. She woke up three times last night in pain. I worry about her. She has never been in this much pain. Even when she and Kendall got in that really bad car accident about six years ago. The nurse said that the doctor would be in around 8:30 to check her out and release her. The doctor came in.
"Hello Mr. Diamond, how are you doing this morning?"
"I'm doing okay. Katie woke up three times last night in pain though."
"Okay well why don't you wake her up and we can see about releasing her."
"Okay, that sounds great."
I looked at Katie and shook her shoulder.
"Katie, time to get up." She just snuggled into my chest more. I sighed this was going to take something serious to wake her up.
"Katie, Russell called he got arrested again."
This got her up.
"He better not have or I swear he will never get another job from me."
"Katie, he didn't. I just said that to get you up so that the doctor could check you out and then hopefully release you."
"Okay but for that you owe me a large cup of coffee and a back massage."
"Fine, just hurry up. The doctor is waiting on you."
Katie rolled her eyes and the doctor started her checkup. He finished her exam quickly and said that she could go home as soon as she signs her discharge papers. He told me that she is to be on bed rest for a couple of days and that she should be careful for a couple of weeks and have a doctor check the burns in a couple of weeks. I nodded my head in understanding. Katie got dressed in the clothes that Kelly had brought her last night then we headed back to the arena and got on the tour bus.
