Real world:

No one in the Doe household went back to sleep that night. With Ichigo and Abby's arrival, combined with the discovery that Abby had been dead for sometime in the real world. No one could go back to sleep. Even Danny, who had crept back into his house with his mother none the wiser, still couldn't sleep.

"I don't believe this..." Danny thought to himself. "Nancy's mystery guest is from a comic book story! That girl, Nancy and I found has been dead for six months! According to Mr. Doe, we can travel to this comic book world in our sleep and can bring back people from this place and there are at least two other kids like us." Danny let out a sigh as he tossed and turned in his bed. Suddenly he heard a loud pawing at his bedroom door.

Feeling somewhat relived at being distracted from his thoughts, Danny got out of bed, walked over to his door and opened it up to let Cowboy inside.

Cowboy leaped up at Danny and gently licked his face. Danny smiled and said "What the hell? It's five in the morning and I might as well tell you." Danny shut the door behind Cowboy, before he sat down beside his dog.

"You're not going to believe the night I had, Cowboy. Hell, I'm still having a hard time believing it." Danny began. "What am I going to tell mom?" he added in a tone that was bewildered, scared and sad.

Cowboy simply put his head in Danny's lap.

As Danny was recounting the events of the previous night to Cowboy, Charles was desperately tying to come up with a solution to this very unusual situation that his family had been thrown into.

"My life has become a manga. First characters from Bleach are showing up in my house, now resurrected children? Please don't let there be a hallow next time." Charles thought to himself.

As Charles was thinking this, he was drinking his third glass of wine when Nancy walked in the kitchen. "Dad, are okay?" Nancy wondered worriedly. "Nancy, there are times when a man is driven to drink, and this is definitely one of those times." he replied with a slightly crazy laugh in his voice.

Nancy then voiced what Charles was thinking "I feel like our house has become a mad house."

"You're telling me." Ichigo said as he stepped into the kitchen. "What are we going to do now?" asked Abby as she trailed behind Ichigo.

Charles sighed and said "I'm still working out how to tell your daddy that you're alive again, and I need to come up with a way to send Ichigo and Rukia back home." Charles added.

"Are you crazy, old man?" Ichigo interrupted. "Don't interrupt!" Rukia screamed as she hit him on the head. "Don't call my dad old!" Nancy shouted. "ENOUGH!" cried Charles as his voice boomed throughout the kitchen. "Rukia for hitting Ichigo, you're cleaning every toilet in this house, starting now." Charles stated. "But," Rukia began. "Now!" Charles repeated in a deadly tone. Rukia glared at both Charles and Ichigo, but she went to look for the cleaning supplies.

Once Rukia had left, Charles turned his attention back to everyone else in the room. "I understand that we all had a very memorable night and we couldn't get any sleep, but we still have stuff we need to do. Nancy, your Bat Mitzvah rehearsal is still on." Charles explained.

"Aww...but why?" Nancy questioned with a frown on her face. "Because, it will be good for you to stick to your schedule." Charles replied. Suddenly an idea struck Charles. "I've got it. Abby I'll just drop you off at the police station." he said. "What are you going to tell them dad?" asked Nancy. "As I was driving back home, late at night, I nearly hit Abby." turning to Abby, he added. "I tried finding out who you are, but you couldn't remember anything. Seeing it was late, I decided to let you stay the night at our home." Charles finished off with "After breakfast Abby, you and I will go over this, repeatedly until we need to drop off Nancy at Temple."

With that he went off into the kitchen to have breakfast.

"Hang on, What's a Bat Mitzvah?" Ichigo spoke up. "Well, a Bat Mitzvah is a coming of age ceremony that happens when a young Jewish girl turns 13. What happens is that you read from the Torah, in your local temple in front of a group of people. After that a huge after party is thrown." Nancy explained. "Believe me, when I say these are huge partys, they really are huge parties." she added.

"I get it, it's like 'Coming of age day.'" Ichigo replied.

"What?" was all a confused Nancy could say. "Coming of age day is a lot like a Bat Mitzvah with some differences. It's always held on the second Monday of January, it's celebrates the people who will turn 20 between April 2 of last year and April 1 of the current one. Women wear kimonos, while the men wear suits. After the ceremony, people will throw huge parties." Ichigo explained.

"Wow... what's it like in Japan? In your world, I mean?" Nancy breathed.

What Japan was like in Ichigo's world, Nancy never got to find out.

At that moment, Charles called out "Breakfast time!" "Yay! Breakfast!" Abby cried with delight as she clapped her hands.

She took in the kitchen with wide eyes. "You know I think I was in a room like this a long time ago." she said with sadness in her voice.

Once again, Nancy felt a wave of pity wash over her.

"How could Abby have survive for so long in that place?" Nancy thought to herself.

Bleach world:

In Las Noches, Aizen had gotten a very strange report from Espada number four. A.K.A Ulquiorra Cifer. "Lord Aizen, I investigated the area of where the scream came from, but the strangest thing was that I could find no trace of the source of the scream. However, I did interrogate some hallows that were nearby. They said a human child was the cause of the scream." Ulquiorra explained.

At this, Aizen's demeanor changed from one of mild interest to complete focus. "What was the child's deception?" he demanded.

"Unfortunately, the child was too far away for them to get a better look. What they did see was that the scream, somehow destroyed the hallow and that there were two other children."

"Others, there were others with the girl?" Aizen asked. "Lord Aizen, the hallows never said the child was female." Ulquiorra spoke up. "I know who this child is, she's the one that managed to do what Urahara couldn't. Derail centuries of planing." Aizen explained, his voice betraying his frustration at the girl.

"However, this is all just a minor setback." Aizen added, reeling in his anger. "Shall the girl be disposed off, Lord Aizen?" Ulquiorra questioned. "No, Ulquiorra. I want you to find this girl...and bring her to me unharmed." Aizen answered. "And the others, Lord Aizen?" Ulquiorra wondered. "The same applies for the others as well."

Real world:

Bradley was watching TV episodes online when his cell phone rang. He checked the caller ID and saw that it was Charles.

Right away, he answered his phone. "Hello? Mr. Doe?" Bradley wondered. "Bradley, you are not going to believe the night I had." Charles muttered into the speaker phone. "What happened?" asked Bradley. "Well first of all, Nancy and I discovered that there are three more kids that can travel to the Bleach world, then Ichigo appeared in my daughter's bedroom and to top it all off, the third child has not only been in the Bleach world for six months, but has been dead in our world during that time!" Charles finished in a weary tone.

Bradley felt floored. "Holy shit!" was all he could think.

"Who else has joined the dream siders club?" asked Bradley. "The 'what?'" wondered a very confused Charles.

"The dream siders club, we need to start calling ourselves something. There are a lot of people involved now. Besides this is the coolest thing has happened in the history of forever." Bradley said with joy.

"Bradley, this isn't a game. We need to send Ichigo and Rukia back to their world, before we mess up the order there. Once the order's messed up, the Bleach world might be thrown into chaos, and the fans of Bleach will us hate forever." Charles replied in a somewhat annoyed tone.

Bradley opened his mouth to say something, but then Charles said "I'm sorry, I have to go now. I'll talk to you later and I'll arrange a meeting with the other children. Bye."

As Charles pulled into the parking lot of the temple, Nancy rubbed her head in pain. "Dad, my head hurts." Nancy complained. "Would you like me to kiss it better?" asked Abby, who was seated right next to her, on the left. "Why did I come with you again?" asked Ichigo, who was sitting on Nancy's right.

"I couldn't leave you in the house with Rukia. Knowing the two of you, you either destroy the house or make out with each other!" Charles explained.

"Ewww..."cried Abby in the back.

"Dad, you're so embarrassing." Nancy muttered as she buried her face in her hands.

"Oh, come on! You're just being dramatic. Rukia can be a pain, but I won't go that far-wait what?" Ichigo said as his brain realized what Charles had said.

"Oh crap! I'm going to need more alcohol tonight." Charles thought to himself, as his armpits started sweating.

"Go meet the Rabbi, Nancy. I'll be right back after I drop Abby off at the police station." Charles said a little to quickly. Nancy quickly opened the door and hoped out before Ichigo could catch her. "Bye guys!" she shouted as she ran inside the temple. "Hey, come back here! What does your dad know as about us!" Ichigo yelled. "I can explain this." Charles said in a somewhat scared manner.

Taking a deep breath, Charles said "Iknowthatthisgoingtosoundcrazybutinmyworldyou'reamangacharacter."

"What?" was all a confused Ichigo could say.

"This is going be so much harder then I thought." Charles thought to himself.

Taking another deep breath, Charles slowly said. "You and Rukia are nothing but manga characters in this world."

Abby and Ichigo stared at Charles for a few moments, they burst out laughing. "Very funny, old man." Ichigo said with laughter in his voice. "For a moment, I thought you very being serious." he added.

Charles felt himself, let out a sigh of relief.

Inside the temple, Nancy met Rabbi Shapiro. He always wore a yarmulke on his head and had a graying bread on his face. "Good morning, Rabbi Shapiro." said a somewhat sleepy Nancy as she stuffed a yawn.

"Ester, are you okay?" asked the concerned Rabbi. Rabbi Shapiro never addressed Nancy by her first name, he always called her by her Hebrew name, Ester. "It's a long story. To make it short, I didn't get any sleep last night." Nancy explained. "Would you like to wash your face before we practice?" "Yes and thank you." Nancy replied. After washing her face, Nancy felt somewhat awake. It took all her willpower to focus on reading her section of the torah. Bat Mitzvah practice was only an hour, and yet time seem to drag on for Nancy. She was so tried, and that headache was getting worse and worse. "Stay awake Nancy. When you get home then you can nap on your soft bed." She thought to herself. She felt her eyes closing, but forced them back open. Out of the corner of her eye, she thought she saw a Ghost running through the walls of the temple.

Nancy leaped back from the torah in shock and almost screamed. "No! This isn't happening!" she thought to herself.

"Nancy, are you sure that you're okay?" asked Rabbi Shapiro. Nancy blinked and the ghost was gone. "I'm losing my mind." She thought to herself.

Suddenly a huge pain hit her head, like a ton of bricks. Letting out a cry of pain, Nancy held her head as she fell to the floor.

"I'm calling your father." Rabbi Shapiro said as he helped Nancy to her feet. She rested on a couch in the hallway, waiting for her father to come fetch her. The pain in her head was getting worse by the minute. "Why does my head hurt so much?" She thought to herself.

Then she felt her father gently tapping her shoulder and said "Nancy, I heard about what happened." He then put his hand on her forehead. "Come on, let's go home." he said in a gentle tone. With that, he helped Nancy to her feet and led her towards the front door. "Thank you, Rabbi Shapiro." Charles spoke to the Rabbi. "Is there anything stressful going on at home?" asked the Rabbi. "I would tell you the truth, but if I did, you'll put me in the loony bin." Charles explained. "Yay Dad!" Nancy cheered mentally. "Whatever it is, I hope it doesn't cause any more uneven sleep patters." advised Rabbi Shapiro. "I'll try to handle this situation better in the future." Charles replied. Charles turned to Nancy and said "Come on Nancy, let's go home." "Bye Rabbi Shapiro." Nancy said sleepily as Charles began to walk her to the parking lot. "Nancy," Charles whispered to her as they began to approach the car. "I need to tell you something, after you left Ichigo demanded to know how I knew how Rukia and himself acyed whenever they fought. So I came clean. I told Ichigo the truth that Rukia and himself are characters from an anime/manga series." Charles explained. "How did they take it?" asked Nancy, suddenly feeling very lightheaded. "Thankful, Ichigo didn't-" But Nancy never got to hear how Ichigo reacted to the news that he was a character in a story. For at that moment, she suddenly blacked out.

Bleach world:

When Nancy awoke, she found herself laying in a dark room. "Where am I?" Nancy thought to herself. At once, a horrible smell reached her noise. Nancy couldn't place the smell, but it reminded her of skunk's spray, only a thousand times worse. She stained her eyes, attempting to see through the darkness. "Where is that smell coming from? More importantly, what is it?" Nancy thought to herself. Then she heard a groan coming right beside her. "Who are you?" Nancy whispered on suddenly on edge. "Do you know where I am?" asked a girlish voice. "Where did you come from?" asked Nancy, still on edge. "From Nowhere, California." said the girl. "What's your name?" questioned Nancy. "I'm Polly Dillinger." replied the strange girl."Oh great, another one. Just now many of us are there?" Nancy thought to herself "Oh please don't let be another Bleach fan this time." She added mentality. Brushing her thoughts aside, Nancy said. "I'm Nancy Doe, and I'm from Nowhere as well." "Wow, this is one of my weirdest dreams ever." Polly said to herself. "Now that's the understatement of the century." Nancy commented in her head. "Do you smell that?" Polly asked as she twitched her noise in disgust. "Yes," Nancy replied. "It smells like someone died in here." Polly said. Then a feeling dread came over Nancy. "Oh...dear...god...please don't tell me...don't let the lights come on..." Nancy pleaded to herself. Taking charge, Nancy turned to Polly and said "Look, I know we just met and all. But I need you to listen to and to trust me, okay." Nancy stated as calmly as she could. "Where are we?" wondered Polly, feeling frightened. "This is going to sound unbelievable, but-" Nancy began to say. Then she was interrupted by the lights suddenly turning on, without any warning. What happened next stayed burned within Nancy and Polly's memories for the rest of their lives. They were in a room with a huge ceiling high above their heads. In that room, where over dozens of mutilated dead bodies with dried blood stains surrounding them. They looked as though they have been dead for months, but that didn't matter to the girls. At that mattered was that they were terrified. Nancy and Polly couldn't hold back the screams that left their throats. They gabbed each other for comfort and the two of them began to cry in shock. "I don't know what's going on," Polly said, as she began to back away. "But I'm getting out of here!" she cried. "Please be quiet!" Nancy began to say, then she stopped talking when she saw the figure standing behind Polly. At once, Nancy remembered what her dad told about this person.

Flashback:

"Dad, who's that?" asked a ten year old Nancy, as she walked into her dad's bedroom.

He was translating manga on his labtop again. On the page he was translating stood a figure. He was tall with silver hair and shut eyes. But the most creepiest part about him was the smile on his face. It seemed...unnatural somehow. Charles turned around from his chair. "That is a bad guy from the series I translate." he explained. "Really, what's his name?" asked a curious Nancy. "Gin Ichimuru." Charles replied.

End Flashback

"BEHIND YOU!" Nancy screamed. Polly turned her head around and quickly leaped out of the way with a scream as Gin with withdrew his Zanpakto. He look at both of the girls and said "My, my. How interesting. The Ryoka who has caused so much chaos, has fallen right into our hands, and with a guest too."

"Who are you and where did you get that sword?" asked Polly with fear in her voice.

Gin simply smirked and flashed stepped, directly in front of the girls. Both Nancy and Polly gripped each other. Nancy was about to take Polly and run, but was to quick. Gin lifted his finger and said "Bakudo number one! Sai!" Instantly, both Polly and Nancy fell down. "What's going on? Why can't I move?" cried Polly she struggled to get up. "You're trapped." Gin replied. "Now just stay there, I'll going to fetch my partner." he added. With that he flashed stepped to another part of the building. Nancy started struggling even harder. "Come on! We have to get out of here!" she dried. "You're telling me, I don't even want to meet his partner!" replied Polly as she fought against her invisible bindings. Then suddenly the girls heard a voice saying "Wake up, Nancy! Wake up!" Nancy felt herself being shaken by an invisible force. "Can you hear me?" asked Polly. "This isn't a seizure." Nancy started to say in an urgent manner. "This is-" Nancy began, but before she could say anymore, her eyes began to close. "No! I can't wake up yet! I can't leave Polly here!" Nancy thought to herself. She fought to stay awake a little longer, but felt herself slipping. "Listen to me!" Nancy called as her eyes were about to close. "Gin's partner is pure evil and has no problems torturing you to get what he wants! At least that what my dad tells me!" Nancy said as her eyes closed against her will.

Real world:

As Nancy opened her eyes, she saw her dad and Ichigo standing around her, looking very worried.

"Are you alright?" asked Charles as his voice was shaking.

Thinking of her encounter with Gin, accidentally leaving Polly behind and all those dead bodies. She burst into tears.

"Dad, I left her there! I left her with the bad guys!" Nancy sobbed.

"Shh... it's only a dream." Charles said as he rubbed her back, gently. Charles was vaguely aware of Abby's crying and Ichigo doing his best to comfort her.

Rabbi Shapiro had run outside, with a bottle of water in one hand and a cell phone in the other.

"It wasn't a normal dream, dad! I was in the other world!" Nancy insited thought her sobs. "If that girl gets hurt or is killed..." she added. "Please calm down, Nancy. You're frightening everyone." Charles replied as he attempted to help her relax. Shapiro approached the pair and handed Charles a bottle of water. "Drink it, Ester!" he said in a worried tone. Charles opened the bottle before handing it over to Nancy.

Nancy drank to calm her feelings of fear, horror, guilt and relief that were floating around inside her all at once.

"I am alive, because I was woken up at the right time and that girl trapped with Gin and will suffer in my place. I'm worthless and deserve to die." Nancy thought to herself.

Yet another wham chapter.

Nancy had a close encounter with Gin, but she escaped.

Poor Polly, now trapped.
